This study aims at investigating the effects of foliar application of aqueous solutions of La3+and Ce3+nitrates on soybean plants(Glycine max).First,we observe that Triton HW 1000 surfactant at 0.01 vol%reduces droplets contact angle and increases their drying *** greenhouse conditions,the foliar treatments do not affect chlorophyll content,plant height,number of leaves,number of pods,number of seeds per pod,and average seed ***,the treatments induce phytotoxicity since foliar injuries appear after the *** X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy combined to scanning electron microscopy shows that the leaf lesions are positively correlated to accumulation of Ce and La on the leaf surface and also promote structural alteration to the epidermal cells.X-ray absorption near edge structure shows that the La and Ce nitrates are partially bio transformed into oxides by the leaves which might explain the harmful effects.

SUMMArY Various case reports of patients with Dandy-Walker variant syndrome mimicking schizophrenia have been published in the last 20 years, suggest!ng that this neurodevelopment disorder should be part of the differential diagnosis for every patient with a first episode of psychosis. In this report, it is presented that a patient who was diagnosed and treated as a paranoid schizophrenic for 20 years and had four bone fractures secondary to ataxic gait impairment, before performing a neuroimaging examination that revealed Dandy-Walker variant syndrome.

BACKGrOUND There have been increased reports of dry eyes in the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) pandemic *** To analyze the differences in tear film properties from pre-and post-pandemic of the COVID-19 *** It was a retrospective comparative *** were divided into three groups according to the data of multimodal ocular surface evaluation:(1) Group 1 if it was before portugal lockdown decision(from August 2019 to March 2020);(2) Group 2 if it was after portugal lockdown decision but without mask mandate(from April 2020 to October 2020);and(3) Group 3 if it was after portugal lockdown but with mask mandate in health public highway(from November 2020 to April 2021).The following variables were analyzed:Lipid layer thickness,blink rate,Schirmer test,tear meniscus height,tear osmolarity,non-invasive break-up time,and loss area of the meibomian *** The study included 548 eyes of 274 patients,aged 18 years to 89 years,with a mean age of 66.15 ± 13.40 years at the time of multimodal ocular surface *** to group 1:(1) Mean lipid layer thickness was better in group 2(p = 0.001) and group 3(p rmer test was similar in group 2(p = 0.576) and better in group 3(p = 0.002);(3) Tear osmolarity and loss area of the meibomian glands were worse in group 2(p = 0.031 and p respectively) and in group 3(both with p rate and tear meniscus height were similar in group 2(p = 0.821 and p = 0.370,respectively) and worse in group 3(p p = 0.038,respectively);and(5) Non-invasive break-up time was worse in group 2(p = 0.030) and similar in group 3(p = 0.263).CONCLUSION Our study demonstrated that differences existed in tear film properties comparing data from the pre-and post-pandemic of the COVID-19 era.

Satisfaction of the obstetric patient is an indicator taken in account in health reports. previous studies point towards several dimensions. In order to better evaluate health care services, it is curtail to have portuguese language tools of easy appliance. The aim of the study is to validate the pSS in portuguese. This is a descriptive study using a convenience sample of ninety one mothers. participants were primary healthcare clients with children aged of I or less. The analysis regarded sensitivity, reliability, as well as concurrent, discriminant, converging and factorial validity. After promax rotation, three factors were extracted explaining 82.13% of the variance. reliability analysis was observed by split-half method showing a Spearman-Brown correlation coefficient of 0.91. Cronbach＇s alpha of the portuguese pSS total scale and subscales were satisfactory with coefficients between 0.829 and 0.941. Concurrent validity was supported by a continuous variable of support from nurses. Discriminant validity showed in women with a normal vaginal delivery, a higher satisfaction both globally and on the three dimensions. The properties observed at the pSS have shown to be satisfactory. pSS reveals itself as a valid measure of the obstetric client＇s satisfaction.

With the expansion of eucalyptus crops to areas with severe water limitations,physiological studies involving eucalyptus clones to identify those that are tolerant to water stress become *** objective of this study was to assess morphological and physiological responses by eucalyptus clones subjected to drought stress and *** experiment consisted of three eucalyptus clones:VC865,I224 and I144 and two water regimes:control and water stress followed by rehydration,with six *** water potential,gas exchange,maximum quantum efficiency of photo systemⅡand plant height and stem diameter were evaluated under drought stress and ***6 d of rehydration,the number of leaves,leaf area and dry mass of root,leaf,stem and their total were *** clones showed intense reduction of gas exchange during the drought stress period,and only VC865 and 1144 showed rapid recovery with 3 d of *** 1224 showed greater reduction in height,stem diameter,number of leaves,water potential at midday(Ψ_(w)_(Midday)),and maximum quantum efficiency of photosystemⅡ(F_(v)/F_(m)).Clones VC865and T144 showed lower reductions inΨ_(wMidday)and F_(v)/F_(m) under ***865 had lower reductions in leaf number,leaf area and higher leaf dry mass,while clone I144 had higher height and lower reduction in root dry mass *** these clones showed higher water use efficiency with 3d of *** different phenotypic plasticities gave the clones VC865 and 1144 efficient mechanisms of acclimatization to stress and more drought tolerance,enhancing their greater capacity for recovery after stress,which allowed lower dry mass *** 1224,however,was more susceptible to drought stress,undergoing greater physiological damage with only partial recovery during rehydration.

AIM: To analyze therapeutic changes in Crohn's disease(CD) patients following video capsule endoscopy(VCE) and to assess the usefulness of Lewis score and the patency ***: patency Capsule was performed in every patient that had indication for VCE, and those with negative patency did not undergo VCE. patients with established CD that underwent VCE between January 2011 and February 2014 were selected for this study; those with suspected CD were excluded, independent of VCE results, since our purpose was to address differences in therapeutic regimen in CD patients before and after VCE. patients with inconclusive VCE were also excluded. patients had to be free of non-steroidal anti-inflammatories for at least 1 mo. Those patients who met these criteria were allocated into one of three groups: Staging group(asymptomatic CD patients that underwent VCE for staging of CD), Flare group(patients with active CD), or post-op group(CD patients evaluated for post-operative recurrence). Lewis score was calculated for every VCE procedure. Statisticalanalysis was performed to address the impact of VCE findings on the therapeutic management of CD patients and to evaluate the utility of the Lewis ***: From a total of 542 VCEs, 135 were performed in patients with CD. patency capsule excluded nearly 25% of the patients who were supposed to undergo VCE. No videocapsule retention during VCE was reported. From these 135 patients, 29 were excluded because CD diagnosis was not established at the time of VCE. Therefore, a total of 106 patients were included in the final analysis. From these, the majority were in the Staging group(n = 73, 69%), and the remaining were in the Flare(n = 23, 22%) or post-op(n = 10, 9%) group. Median time between diagnosis and VCE was 5.5 years. Introduction: The composite SonicFillTM (Kerr/Kavo) is indicated for posterior restorations, with a single increment up to 5 mm due to reduced polymerization shrinkage, thus reducing working time. Aim: Evaluation of marginal microleakage with SonicFillTM. Method and Materials: There were sectioned sixty noncarious human molars in the occluso-cervical direction. Class V cavities were prepared on each tooth with gingival margin walls in a standardized way. The specimens were divided into 4 groups: group 1—restored with SonicFillTM (Kerr/Kavo), group 2—restored with FiltekTM SupremeXTE (3M ESpE), group 3—the cavities were not restored;group 4—restored with SonicFillTM (Kerr/Kavo). In groups 1, 2 and 4 the enamel was conditioned with 37% orthophosphoric acid and applied the self-etch adhesive system Clear- fillTM SE BOND (Kuraray). The specimens were stored in distilled water at 37?C for 7 days. After, the specimens, were immersed in a solution of 99mTc-pertechnetate and the radioactivity was assessed with a gamma camera. The nonparametric Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney test with Bonferroni correction at a significance level of 5% were used for the statistical analyses. results: There are significant differences between the positive and negative control groups and between these and experimental groups (p TM and FiltekTM SupremeXTE. Conclusion: The new composite SonicFillTM and FiltekTM SupremeXTE showed no difference concerning dye penetration. The Sonic- FillTM restorative system showed no influence in concerning microleakage.
