Highly Thermoconductive,Strong Graphene‑Based Composite Films by Eliminating Nanosheets Wrinkles

Graphene-based thermally conductive composites have been proposed as effective thermal management materials for cooling high-power electronic ***,when flexible graphene nanosheets are assembled into macroscopic thermally conductive composites,capillary forces induce shrinkage of graphene nanosheets to form wrinkles during solution-based spontaneous drying,which greatly reduces the thermal conductivity of the ***,graphene nanosheets/aramid nanofiber(GNS/ANF)composite films with high thermal conductivity were prepared by in-plane stretching of GNS/ANF composite hydrogel networks with hydrogen bonds andπ-π*** in-plane mechanical stretching eliminates graphene nanosheets wrinkles by suppressing inward shrinkage due to capillary forces during drying and achieves a high in-plane orientation of graphene nanosheets,thereby creating a fast in-plane heat transfer *** composite films(GNS/ANF-60 wt%)with eliminated graphene nanosheets wrinkles showed a significant increase in thermal conductivity(146 W m^(−1)K^(−1))and tensile strength(207 MPa).The combination of these excellent properties enables the GNS/ANF composite films to be effectively used for cooling flexible LED chips and smartphones,showing promising applications in the thermal management of high-power electronic devices.

Research on the Cutting Performance of Cubic Boron Nitride Tools

There were only two kinds of superhard tool material at the past, i.e. diamond and cubic boron nitride (CBN). Manmade diamond and CBN are manufactured by the middle of 20th century. Various manufacturing methods and manmade superhard materials were developed later. They were widely used in different industry and science areas. Recently, a new kind of superhard tool material, C 3. 4 coating film, had been developed. American physical scientists, A. M. Liu and M. L. Cohen, designed a new kind of inorganic compound C 3. 4 with the theory of molecule engineering. According to calculation, it can reach or even exceed the hardness of diamond, so material scientists and technique circles draw their attention to it. A high speed steel twist drill coated with C 3. 4 film is applied to the drilling hole process on steel workpiece in cutting tests, the tool life is increased greatly. When the C 3. 4 film is coated on the cemented carbide inserts, the cutting performance is improved, but is not good enough. The data of mechanical performance and cutting tests about this kind of new tool material is given in this paper, it shows that C 3. 4 has a promising future. The anti-wear ability of cutting tool increases sharply after C 3. 4 being coated on HSS tool. Coated HSS drill also has some benefit after being reground. The tool life prolongs after C 3. 4 being coated on cemented carbide inserts, but is not so long as that of C 3. 4 coated HSS tool. When machining PRCM with C 3. 4 thin-film coated cemented carbide tool, the cutting performance is poor and it is much better when machining PRCM with PCBN, PCD compound plates and CVD thick-film coated cutting tool. Some relative aspects need to be deeply discussed and researched, e.g. the existing coating techniques is not good enough and should be improved in the future, the film thickness should be optimized and try to find out the most effective value, the binding force and mutual effect between coated film and substrate need to be

Realization of nonreciprocal acoustic energy transfer using an asymmetric strong nonlinear vibroacoustic system

In this paper,an asymmetric vibroacoustic system that can passively realize nonreciprocal transmission of acoustic energy is *** experimental system consists of a waveguide,a strongly nonlinear membrane,and three acoustic cavities with different *** theoretical modeling of the system is verified by experiments,and parametric analysis is also carried *** intensive studies reveal the nonreciprocal transmission of acoustic energy in this prototype *** forward excitation,internal resonance between the two nonlinear normal modes of the vibroacoustic system occurs,and acoustic energy is irreversibly transferred from the waveguide to the nonlinear ***,under backward excitation,there is no internal resonance in the *** spectra and wavelet analysis are used to highlight the mechanism of nonreciprocal transfer of acoustic ***,nearly unidirectional(preferential)transmission of acoustic energy transfer is shown by this *** nonreciprocal acoustic energy transfer method illustrated in this paper provides a new way to design the odd acoustic element.

The projective transformation of the special semi-symmetric metric recurrent connection is studied in this paper. First of all, an invariant under this transformation is granted; Secondly, by inducing of the invariant and making use of the properties that the corresponding covariant derivative keeps being fixed under the distinctness connection, the curvature tensor expression of the Riemannian manifold is posed at the same time.

Two-dimensional bifunctional electrocatalyst(Mo-NiFe-LDH)with multilevel structure for highly efficient overall water splitting

To effectively address energy challenges,it is crucial to explore efficient and stable bifunctional nonprecious metal *** this study,a Mo-doped nickeliron layered double hydroxide with flower-cluster architecture was successfully prepared by a one-step hydrothermal method,which demonstrated a good water splitting *** an appropriate amount of Mo doping,some lattice distortions in the material provided reactive sites for the adsorption and conversion of intermediates,thus optimising the charge distribution of the ***,the multidimensional void structures formed after doping had a larger specific surface area and accelerated the penetration of the electrolyte,which significantly improved the activity of the catalyst in alkaline *** 10 mA·cm^(-2),the hydrogen and oxygen evolution overpotentials of Mo-doped nickel-iron double hydroxides(Mo-NiFe LDH/NF-0.2)were 167 and 220 mV,respectively,with an excellent durability up to 24 *** the Mo-NiFe LDH/NF-0,2 catalyst was used as the cathode and anode of an electrolytic cell,the catalyst achieved a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2)at an applied voltage of 1.643.*** study provides a novel approach for designing excellent bifunctional electrocatalysts containing nonprecious metals.

Etching-free pixel definition in InGaN green micro-LEDs

The traditional plasma etching process for defining micro-LED pixels could lead to significant sidewall *** near sidewall regions act as non-radiative recombination centers and paths for current leakage,significantly deteriorating device *** this study,we demonstrated a novel selective thermal oxidation(STO)method that allowed pixel definition without undergoing plasma damage and subsequent dielectric *** annealing in ambient air oxidized and reshaped the LED structure,such as p-layers and InGaN/GaN multiple quantum ***,the pixel areas beneath the pre-deposited SiO_(2)layer were selectively and effectively *** was demonstrated that prolonged thermal annealing time enhanced the insulating properties of the oxide,significantly reducing LED leakage ***,applying a thicker SiO_(2)protective layer minimized device resistance and boosted device efficiency *** the STO method,InGaN green micro-LED arrays with 50-,3.-,and 10-μm pixel sizes were manufactured and *** results indicated that after 4 h of air annealing and with a 3.5-μm SiO_(2)protective layer,the 10-μm pixel array exhibited leakage currents density 1.2×10^(-6)A/cm^(2)at-10 V voltage and a peak on-wafer external quantum efficiency of~6.48%.This work suggests that the STO method could become an effective approach for future micro-LED manufacturing to mitigate adverse LED efficiency size effects due to the plasma etching and improve device ***-LEDs fabricated through the STO method can be applied to micro-displays,visible light communication,and optical interconnect-based *** planar pixel geometry will provide more possibilities for the monolithic integration of driving circuits with ***,the STO method is not limited to micro-LED fabrication and can be extended to design other III-nitride devices,such as photodetectors,laser diodes,high-electron-mobility transistors

The traditional von Neumann computing architecture has relatively-low information processing speed and high power consumption,making it difficult to meet the computing needs of artificial intelligence(AI).Neuromorphic computing systems,with massively parallel computing capability and low power consumption,have been considered as an ideal option for data storage and AI computing in the ***,as the fourth basic electronic component besides resistance,capacitance and inductance,is one of the most competitive candidates for neuromorphic computing systems benefiting from the simple structure,continuously adjustable conductivity state,ultra-low power consumption,high switching speed and compatibility with existing CMOS *** memristors with applying MXene-based hybrids have attracted significant attention in recent ***,we introduce the latest progress in the synthesis of MXene-based hybrids and summarize their potential applications in memristor devices and neuromorphological *** explore the development trend of memristors constructed by combining MXenes with other functional materials and emphatically discuss the potential mechanism of MXenes-based memristor ***,the future prospects and directions of MXene-based memristors are briefly described.

Response of Tomato Plants to a New Application Method of Polyolefin-Coated Fertilizer

The response of tomato （Lycopersicon esculentum） plants basically fertilized with 0.3.g N per plant of compound fertilizer with a N：P2O5：K2O ratio of 20：10：20 to sticks of polyolefin-coated fertilizer （POCF）（LongT0 with a N：P2Os：K2O ratio of 14：12：14） applied 23.d after transplanting was investigated using rooting boxes in the greenhouse. The results at 26 and 40 d after stick fertilizer treatment showed that the use of the stick fertilizer greatly increased the production of many new fine roots from the tomato plants. Compared to the unfertilized control, root length and root length density in the stick fertilizer treatment increased by 3.6-6.7 fold. In the soil zones near the stick fertilizer, root weight and root mass density were also significantly higher for the stick fertilizer treatment. Additionally, the use of the stick fertilizer increased the N, P and K concentrations in the leaves and stems of the tomato plants. The new fine roots growing near the stick fertilizer not only absorbed more nutrients and translocated them to the shoots, but also contained more nutrients within themselves. The soil ammonium and nitrate N data showed that N released from the stick fertilizer played a major role in inducing the production of new fine roots. These results indicated that stick fertilizer could be used as an alternative to the co-situs application technique to change and control the root distribution of crops as well as to increase the potential capacity of roots for water and nutrient absorption.
