Dear editor,Implementation attacks such as fault attack(FA)[1] and side-channel analysis (SCA)[2] are significant threats to the cryptographic device security. Infective countermeasure is a promising strategy to resist FAs. Its principle is to scramble the data path of the encryption and make the faulty ciphertext useless in the key retrieval. The scrambling here is called infection. It can be executed either once at the end of the algorithm or multiple times between different encryption operations.

DBlock is a new family of block ciphers proposed by Wu et al. in Science China in 2015, which consists of three variants specified as DBlock-128/192/***-n employs a 20-round Feistel-type structure with n-bit block size and n-bit key size. We propose the first fault analysis on DBlock and show that no more than 2 pairs of correct/faulty ciphertexts are needed to retrieve the master key. In the attack, a byte-oriented fault is injected in round 16, and three properties including differential distribution of the Sbox, bijection nature of the linear function and Feistel-type key scheduling are fully utilized to distinguish between the correct and wrong keys. A fault position guessing strategy based on known intermediates is adopted, which efficiently makes the known-fault attack apply to the random fault model. The experimental results show that, with a pair of ciphertexts, 11.820-bit exhaustive search is needed to derive the whole 128-bit key on average. With 2 pairs of ciphertexts, the unique key can be determined within 6.5 minutes.

Plasmids play a critical role in the dissemination of antimicrobial resistance genes(ARGs),however,a systematical understanding of ARGs originated from plasmids in swine production is currently ***,quantitative polymerase chain reaction was applied to determine the prevalence of ten ARGs and the class1 integron gene intI1 of plasmid source in swinemanure from 44 farms in Sichuan,Hubei and Hebei provinces,*** assayed ARGs were observed in plasmid DNA samples,and the average absolute abundance of aac(6’)-Ib-cr,blaNDM,blaCTX-M,optrA,ermB,floR,mcr-1,qnrS,tetM,sul1 and intI1 were 7.09,2.90,4.67,6.62,7.55,7.14,4.08,4.85,7.16,7.11 and 8.07 of 10 log copies/gram,***1 showed a high correlation(r>0.8,P<0.01)with the abundance of aac(6’)-Ib-cr and sul1 in swine ***,the farm scale(i.e.,herd population)and geographical location were not found to be critical factors influencing the absolute abundance of ARGs of plasmid DNA in swine ***,the concentrations of florfenicol,Cu,Zn,Fe,total phosphorus(TP)and total potassium(TK)demonstrated a significant correlation with the abundance of several ***,Cu and Zn had high correlations with optrA and blaCTX-M,*** results demonstrated that antibiotics,heavy metals and environmental nutrients are likely jointly contributing to the long-term persistence of ARGs in swine *** study provides insights into the abundance and influencing factors of ARGs from swine manure,which is of significance for assessing and reducing the public health risks in livestock production.

Antimicrobial resistance in the laying hen production industry has become a serious public health *** antimicrobial resistance and phylogenetic relationships of the common conditional pathogen Enterococcus along the laying hen production chain have not been systematically clarified.105 Enterococcus isolates were obtained from 115 environmental samples (air,dust,feces,fies,sewage,and soil) collected along the laying hen production chain (breeding chicken,chick,young chicken,and commercial laying hen).These Enterococcus isolates exhibited resistance to some clinically relevant antibiotics,such as tetracycline (92.4%),streptomycin (92.4%),and erythromycin (91.4%),and all strains had multidrug resistance *** genome sequencing characterized 29 acquired antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) that conferred resistance to 11 classes of antibiotics in 51pleuromutilin-resistant Enterococcus isolates,and lsa(E),which mediates resistance to pleuromutilins,always co-occurred with lnu(B).Alignments with the Mobile Genetic Elements database identified four transposons (Tn554,Tn558,Tn6261,and Tn6674) with several ARGs(erm(A),ant(9)-la,fex(A),and optrA) that mediated resistance to many clinically important ***,we identified two new transposons that carried ARGs in the Tn554 family designated as Tn7508 and Tn7492.A complementary approach based on conventional multi-locus sequence typing and whole genome single nucleotide polymorphism analysis showed that phylogenetically related pleuromutilin-resistant Enterococcus isolates were widely distributed in various environments on different production *** results indicate that environmental contamination by antimicrobial-resistant Enterococcus requires greater attention,and they highlight the risk of pleuromutilin-resistant Enterococcus and ARGs disseminating along the laying hen production chain,thereby warranting effective disinfection.

A Combined Countermeasure Against Side-Channel and Fault Attack with Threshold Implementation Technique

Side-channel attack(SCA) and fault attack(FA) are two classical physical attacks against cryptographic implementation. In order to resist them, we present a combined countermeasure scheme which can resist both SCA and FA. The scheme combines threshold implementation and duplication-based exchange techniques. The exchange technique can confuse the fault propagation path and randomize the faulty values. The threshold implementation technique can ensure a provable security against SCA. Moreover, it can also help to resist the FA by its incomplete property and random numbers. Compared with other methods, the proposed scheme has simple structure, which can be easily implemented in hardware and result in a low implementation cost. Finally, we present a detailed design for the block cipher light encryption device(LED) and implement *** hardware cost evaluation shows our scheme has the minimum overhead factor.

针对传统方法中固定位置的字幕可能遮挡视频中观众感兴趣内容的问题,提出一种基于视频内容的动态字幕添加方法.通过综合考虑视频内容的重要性、视频画面之间以及相邻字幕间的连贯性来确定视频中视觉相对次要的区域,并在该区域添加字幕,有效地减少了字幕对关键内容形成的遮挡;并提出了随视频内容动态确定字幕颜色以及通过对固定颜色描边2种方式,以增加字幕在视频画面上的对比度.实验结果表明,动态字幕可以有效地避免视频内容遮挡,提高视频播放效果.
