Sepsis one-hour bundle management combined with psychological intervention on negative emotion and sleep quality in patients with sepsis

BACKGROUND Sepsis is a serious infectious disease caused by various systemic inflammatory responses and is ultimately *** usually experience depression and anxiety,which affect their sleep quality and post-traumatic growth *** To investigate the effects of sepsis,a one-hour bundle(H1B)management was combined with psychological intervention in patients with *** This retrospective analysis included 300 patients with sepsis who were admitted to Henan Provincial People’s Hospital between June 2022 and June *** to different intervention methods,the participants were divided into a simple group(SG,n=150)and combined group(CG,n=150).H1B management was used in the SG and H1B management combined with psychological intervention was used in the *** changes of negative emotion,sleep quality and post-traumatic growth and prognosis were compared between the two groups before(T0)and after(T1)*** After intervention(T1),the scores of the Hamilton Anxiety scale and Hamilton Depression scale in the CG were significantly lower than those in the SG(Pship with others,personal strength dimension score,and total score of the CG were significantly higher than those of the SG(P<0.001).The scores for mental health,general health status,physiological function,emotional function,physical pain,social function,energy,and physiological function in the CG were significantly higher than those in the SG(P<0.001).The mechanical ventilation time,intensive care unit stay time,and 28-d mortality of the CG were significantly lower than those of the SG(P<0.05).CONCLUSION H1B management combined with psychological intervention can effectively alleviate the negative emotions of patients with sepsis and inc

Regulating luminescent dynamics of lanthanide-based luminescent materials via external stimuli is of great significance in the fields of optical thermometry and high-level ***,it is still a huge challenge to realize multimodal emissions with tunable color outputs from a single activator in simple structures via smart dynamic control of photon transition ***,we present a mechanistic strategy to achieve multimodal luminescence of Er^(3+)activators with color-switchable outputs in a non-core-shell *** the control of excitation dynamics(λ_(ex)=980,808,1532,377 nm),the population among the intermediate en ergy levels of Er^(3+)and the interaction between Er^(3+)and Yb^(3+)could be precisely modulated through energy transfer and migration processes,leading to the generation of colortunable multimodal luminescence upon diverse excitation modes(non-steady-state,single-/dual-wavelength steady,thermal activation).Inspired by its special luminescent performance,the as-obtained material exhibits great potential in noncontact thermometry,multimodal anticounterfeiting,and high-capacity information encryption by performing a series of proof-of-concept *** findings might provide a conceptual model to modulate the luminescent dynamics in a simple-structured system for the generation of color-adjustable multimodal emissions,which is convenient for the development of advanced luminescent materials toward versatile cuttingedge applications.

Adhesive Contact of Elastic Solids with Self-Affine Fractal Rough Surfaces

The elastic adhesive contact of self-affine fractal rough surfaces against a rigid flat is simulated using the finite element method. An array of nonlinear springs, of which the force-separation law obeys the Lennard–Jones potential, is introduced to account for the interfacial adhesion. For fractal rough surfaces, the interfacial interaction is generally attractive for large mean gaps, but turns repulsive as the gap continuously shrinks. The interfacial interactions at the turning point corresponding to the spontaneous contact are shown for various surfaces. For relatively smooth surfaces, the probability density distributions of repulsion and attraction are nearly symmetric. However, for rougher surfaces, the simulation results suggest a uniform distribution for attraction but a monotonously decreasing distribution with a long tail for repulsion. The pull-off force rises with increasing ratio of the work of adhesion to the equilibrium distance, whereas decreases for solids with a higher elastic modulus and a larger surface roughness. The current study will be helpful for understanding the adhesion of various types of rough solids.

Semi-volatile organic compounds in a museum in China:A non-targeted screening approach

Non-targeted analysis(NTA)was conducted to identify semi-volatile organic compounds(SVOCs)in a museum in China using the gas chromatography(GC)-Orbitrap-mass spectrometer(MS).Approximately 160 SVOCs were detected,of which 93 had not been reported in previous studies of museum *** of the detected SVOCs were found to be associated with the chemical agents applied in conservation treatment and the materials used in *** results of hierarchical cluster analysis(HCA)indicated a spatial variation of SVOCs in the indoor air in the museum,but there were no obvious temporal differences of SVOCs observed in indoor ***'s correlation analysis showed that several classes of SVOCs were well correlated,suggesting their common *** and plasticizers were found to be the primary sources of SVOC pollution detected in the *** with compounds in outdoor air,indoor SVOCs had a lower level of unsaturation and more portions of chemically reduced *** study is the first of its kind to comprehensively characterize SVOCs in a museum using an automated NTA approach with *** SVOCs identified in the current study are likely to be present in other similar museums;therefore,further examination of their potential impacts on cultural heritage artifacts,museum personnel,and visitors may be warranted.

Painful stimuli elicit first-line reflexive defensive reactions and,in many cases,also evoke second-line recuperative behaviors,the latter of which reflects the sensing of tissue damage and the alleviation of *** lateral parabrachial nucleus(lPBN),composed of external-(elPBN),dorsal-(dlPBN),and central/superior-subnuclei(jointly referred to as slPBN),receives sensory inputs from spinal projection neurons and plays important roles in processing affective information from external threats and body integrity ***,the organizational rules of lPBN neurons that provoke diverse behaviors in response to different painful stimuli from cutaneous and deep tissues remain *** this study,we used region-specific neuronal depletion or silencing approaches combined with a battery of behavioral assays to show that slPBN neurons expressing substance P receptor(NK1R)(lPBNNK1R)are crucial for driving pain-associated self-care behaviors evoked by sustained noxious thermal and mechanical stimuli applied to skin or bone/muscle,while elPBN neurons are dispensable for driving such ***,lPBNNK1R neurons are specifically required for forming sustained somatic pain-induced negative teaching signals and aversive memory but are not necessary for fear-learning or escape behaviors elicited by external ***,both lPBNNK1R and elPBN neurons contribute to chemical irritant-induced nocifensive *** results reveal the functional organization of parabrachial substrates that drive distinct behavioral outcomes in response to sustained pain versus external danger under physiological conditions.

White Matter Lesions in Young-Middle Aged Migraineurs with Patent Foreman Ovale: A Case-Control Study

Carbon nanotube(CNT)fibers have great promise for constructing multifunctional fabrics with high electrical conductivity,good electro-heating ability,excellent flexibility,and a low ***,the inter-fiber contacts in the fabric greatly reduce these advantages and limit their ***,a simple pressure-fusing method to fabricate single-wall CNT(SWCNT)fiber non-woven fabrics(NWFs)that are composed of interconnected SWCNT fibers with fused joints is reported,which have good flexibility,a low density of 0.46 g/cm^(3),a high electrical conductivity of 3.7×10^(5)S/m,and a record high specific electrical conductivity of 803(S·m^(2))/*** also showed excellent electrical heating ability,so that a temperature of~160℃was rapidly reached at a low voltage of 2 *** with their low density,the SWCNT fiber NWFs are promising for use as a heating unit for low temperature battery protection and de-icing applications.
