RNA editing for the mitochondrlal ATP9 gene of encoding regions has been observed in both cytoplasmic malesterile and maintainer lines of stem mustard, where its editing capacity varied spatially and temporally in the cytoplasmic male sterility （CMS） line. There were four RNA editing sites for the mitochondrial ATP9 gene according to Its normal editing sites in mustard, of which three sites occurred as C-to-U changes and one as a U-to-C change. As a result, the hydrophobicity of deduced ATP9 protein was reduced due to the conversions at its 17th, 45th and 64th positions. Meanwhile, the conservation of deduced ATP9 protein was enhanced by changes at the 56th position. Loss of a specific editing site for ATP9 was observed in juvenile roots, senile roots, senile leaves and floret buds of the CMS line. Comparatively, complete RNA editing for ATP9 gene was retained in juvenile roots, juvenile leaves and floret buds of its maintainer line; however, the loss of a specific editing site for ATP9 gene occurred at senile roots and senile leaves in its maintainer line. These observations allow us to produce a hypothesis that the dysfunction of a specific mitochondrial gene arising from RNA editing could probably be a factor triggering CMS and organ senescence through unknown cross-talk pathways during development.

A new type of Nb-V-Ti microalloyed cast steel was produced. Computer simulation was adopted to optimize the content of alloying elements. The microstructure of the microalloyed steel was analyzed. The fatigue property, wear and friction properties and rupture toughness of the steel were investigated. The service and operating properties of Nb-V-Ti microalloyed cast steel coupler were also examined. The results show that the steel has excellent comprehensive mechanical properties. The granular bainite structure and precipitation strengthening are the primary strengthening mechanism. The fine grain brings the steel good plasticity and excellent toughness. Various service and operating properties of Nb-V-Ti microalloyed cast steel automatic coupler are excellent.

A chloroplast-localized tomato （Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.） ω-3 fatty acid desaturase gene （LeFADT） was isolated and characterized with regard to its sequence, response to various temperatures, and function in antisense transgenic tomato plants. The deduced amino acid sequence had four histidine-rich regions, of which three regions were highly conserved throughout the whole ω-3 fatty acid desaturasegene family. Southern blotting analysis showed that LeFAD7was encoded by a single copy gene and had two homologous genes in the tomato genome. Northern blot showed that LeFAD7 was expressed in all organs and was especially abundant in leaf tissue. Meanwhile, expression of LeFAD7 was induced by chilling stress （4 ℃）, but was inhibited by high temperature （45 ℃）, in leaves. Transgenic tomato plants were produced by integration of the antisense LeFAD7DNA under the control of a CaMV35S promoter into the genome. Antisense transgenic plants with lower 18 ： 3 content could maintain a higher maximal photochemical efficiency （Fv/Fm） and O2 evolution rate than wild-type plants. These results suggested that silence of the LeFAD7 gene alleviated high-temperature stress. There was also a correlation between the low content of 18 ： 3 resulting from silence of the LeFAD7 gene and tolerance to high-temperature stress.

From the Gauss-Bonnet-Chern theorem, the Euler characteristic of NUT-Kerr-Newman black hole is calculated to be some discrete numbers from 0 to 2. We find that the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy is the largest entropy in topology by taking into account of the relationship between the entropy and the Euler characteristic. The NUT-Kerr- Newman black hole evolves from the torus-like topological structure to the spherical structure with the changes of mass, angular momentum, electric and NUT charges. In this process, the Euler characteristic and the entropy are changed discontinuously, which give the topological aspect of the first-order phase transition of NUT-Kerr-Newman black hole. The corresponding latent heat of the topological phase transition is also obtained. The estimated latent heat of the black hole evolving from the star just lies in the range of the energy of gamma ray bursts.

Studies on the integration of cross-modal information with taste perception has been mostly limited to uni-modal *** cross-modal sensory interaction and the neural network of information processing and its control were not fully explored and the mechanisms remain poorly *** mini review investigated the impact of uni-modal and multi-modal information on the taste perception,from the perspective of cognitive status,such as emotion,expectation and attention,and discussed the hypothesis that the cognitive status is the key step for visual sense to exert influence on *** work may help researchers better understand the mechanism of cross-modal information processing and further develop neutrally-based artificial intelligent(AI)system.

Since the carbon neutrality target was proposed,many countries have been facing severe challenges to carbon emission reduction *** study is conducted using a tripartite evolutionary game model to explore the impact of the central environmental protection inspection(CEPI)on driving carbon emission reduction,and to study what factors influence the strategic choices of each party and how they interact with each *** research results suggest that local governments and manufacturing enterprises would choose strategies that are beneficial to carbon reduction when CEPI *** the initial willingness of all parties increases 20%,50%—80%,the time spent for the whole system to achieve stability decreases from 100%,60%—30%.The evolutionary result of“thorough inspection,regulation implementation,low-carbon management”is the best strategy for the tripartite evolutionary ***,the smaller the cost and the larger the benefit,the greater the likelihood of the three-party game stability strategy *** study has important guiding significance for other developing countries to promote carbon emission reduction by environmental policy.
