Tertiary lymphoid structures(TLSs)are formations at sites with persistent inflammatory stimulation,including tumors.These ectopic lymphoid organs mainly consist of chemo-attracting B cells,T cells,and supporting dendritic cells(DCs).Mature TLSs exhibit functional organization for the optimal development and collaboration of adaptive immune response,delivering an augmented effect on the tumor microenvironment(TME).The description of the positive correlation between TLSs and tumor prognosis is reliable only under a certain condition involving the localization and maturation of TLSs.Emerging evidence suggests that underlying mechanisms of the anti-tumor effect of TLSs pave the way for novel immunotherapies.Several approaches have been developed to take advantage of intratumoral TLSs,either by combining it with therapeutic agents or by inducing the neogenesis of TLSs.

This paper deals with the following prescribed boundary mean curvature problem in B^(N){−Δu=0,u>0,∂_(u)∂_(ν)+N−2/2 u=N−2/2 K˜(y)u^(2−1),y∈B^(N)y∈S^(N−1),where K˜(y)=K˜(|y|,y˜)is a bounded nonnegative function with y=(y,y˜)∈R^(2)×R^(N−3),2=2(N−1)/N−2.Combining the finite-dimensional reduction method and local Pohozaev type of identities,we prove that if N≥5 and K˜(r,y˜)has a stable critical point(r_(0),y˜_(0))with r0>0 and K˜(r0,y˜0)>0,then the above problem has infinitely many solutions,whose energy can be made arbitrarily large.Here our result fill the gap that the above critical points may include the saddle points of K˜(r,y˜).

Lithocaps are composed of silicic and advanced argillic altered rocks,and represent an important target for porphyry-epithermal Cu-Au exploration.Previous studies showed that integrating alunite spectral and composition with lithocap whole-rock geochemistry can effectively aid exploration for concealed Cu-Au mineralization.The Zijinshan Cu-Au and Dafanshan alunite deposits are located in the Coastal Volcanic Belt in SE China,where alunite is an indicator of hypogene mineralization and alteration.Detailed mineralogical studies of alunite from these two deposits were performed with short-wavelength infrared spectroscopy(SWIR),whole-rock geochemistry and laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(LA-ICP-MS).For Zijinshan,wavelength variation of the SWIR alunite absorption peak at 1480 nm is proportional to the whole-rock Na/(Na+K)molar ratio of alunitebearing samples.Different percentage of alunite and mineral assemblages in the lithocap samples would both affect the wavelength of the SWIR alunite absorption peak at1480 nm.We suggest that the alunite Ba-Bi contents and the whole-rock Nb/La value(of alunite-bearing rocks)are reliable vectoring tools for detecting magmatic-hydrothermal mineralization center in the district.Comparing the alunite SWIR spectral and mineral geochemical features and whole-rock geochemistry of alunite-bearing rocks between the Zijinshan and Dafanshan deposits,Au–Ag mineralization may be concealed at depth in northwestern Dafanshan.

In this article,we propose a new finite element spaceΛh for the expanded mixed finite element method(EMFEM)for second-order elliptic problems to guarantee its computing capability and reduce the computation cost.The new finite element spaceΛh is designed in such a way that the strong requirement V h⊂Λh in[9]is weakened to{v h∈V h;d i v v h=0}⊂Λh so that it needs fewer degrees of freedom than its classical counterpart.Furthermore,the newΛh coupled with the Raviart-Thomas space satisfies the inf-sup condition,which is crucial to the computation of mixed methods for its close relation to the behavior of the smallest nonzero eigenvalue of the stiff matrix,and thus the existence,uniqueness and optimal approximate capability of the EMFEM solution are proved for rectangular partitions in R d,d=2,3 and for triangular partitions in R 2.Also,the solvability of the EMFEM for triangular partition in R 3 can be directly proved without the inf-sup condition.Numerical experiments are conducted to confirm these theoretical findings.

The distance matrix of a connected graph G,denoted by D(G),is the matrix whose rows and columns are indexed by the vertex set V(G)such that the(vi,vj)-entry is d(vi,vj),where vi,vj∈V(G).The distance signature sig(D(G))of G is the inertia of D(G).In this paper,we determine the distance signature of the extended(co-extended)incidence graph of an affine design.Furthermore,we state that an open Graffiti conjecture is true for the extended(co-extended)incidence graphs of affine designs by investigating the lower bound of the matching number.

The spectra of generalized Cayley graphs of finite abelian groups are investigated in this paper.For a generalized Cayley graph X of a finite group G,the canonical double covering of X is the direct product X×K_(2).In this paper,integral generalized Cayley graphs on finite abelian groups are characterized,using the characterization of the spectra of integral Cayley graphs.As an application,the integral generalized Cayley graphs on Z_(p)×Z_(q) and Z2n are investigated,where p and q are odd prime numbers.

In this study,a new class of biodegradable contraceptive implants was prepared via the UV irradiation molding method,among which,progestin levonorgestrel(LNG)was used as a model drug.Photo-cross-linked aliphatic polycarbonates(APCs),namely,poly(trimethylene carbonate-co-2,2′-dimethyltrimethylene carbonate)[P(TMC-co-DTC)]elastomers,were used as the drug delivery matrix.The results obtained from the degradation experiments carried out in Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats showed that the cross-linked elastomer had the degradation characteristics of the surface erosion degradation mechanism,with no generation of acid degradation products,and excellent form-stability,which met the performance requirements of the matrix for a long-acting sustained-release delivery system.The in vitro cytotoxicity tests and histological and immunohistochemical evaluations showed good biocompatibility and biosafety of the elastomer matrix material and contraceptive implants.Subsequently,the implant formulations were screened by in vitro release experiments,and their release kinetics were explored.Finally,in the evaluation study of the in vivo anti-fertility effect,the implants exhibited excellent dimensional stability and were degraded by a surface erosion mechanism.LNG achieved a stable and sustained release in female SD rats,maintaining a long-acting contraceptive duration of up to 4 months.The contraceptive implants obtained in this study could be used to address the limitations of currently available formulations,which required secondary surgical removal and a single means of regulating drug release kinetics.Therefore,these implants could provide a new option for birth control needs and may be of significance in reducing the incidence of induced abortion and protecting female fertility.

Stochastically Perturbed Parameterizations for the Process-Level Representation of Model Uncertainties in the CMA Global Ensemble Prediction System

To represent model uncertainties at the physical process level in the China Meteorological Administration global ensemble prediction system(CMA-GEPS),a stochastically perturbed parameterization(SPP)scheme is developed by perturbing 16 parameters or variables selected from three physical parameterization schemes for the planetary boundary layer,cumulus convection,and cloud microphysics.Each chosen quantity is perturbed independently with temporally and spatially correlated perturbations sampled from log-normal distributions.Impacts of the SPP scheme on CMA-GEPS are investigated comprehensively by using the stochastically perturbed parametrization tendencies(SPPT)scheme as a benchmark.In the absence of initial-condition perturbations,perturbation structures introduced by the two schemes are investigated by analyzing the ensemble spread of three forecast variables’physical tendencies and perturbation energy in ensembles generated by the separate use of SPP and SPPT.It is revealed that both schemes yield different perturbation structures and can simulate different sources of model uncertainty.When initialcondition perturbations are activated,the influences of the two schemes on the performance of CMA-GEPS are assessed by calculating verification scores for both upper-air and surface variables.The improvements in ensemble reliability and probabilistic skill introduced by SPP and SPPT are mainly located in the tropics.Besides,the vast majority of the reliability improvements(including increases in ensemble spread and reductions in outliers)are statistically significant,and a smaller proportion of the improvements in probabilistic skill(i.e.,decreases in continuously ranked probability score)reach statistical significance.Compared with SPPT,SPP generally has more beneficial impacts on200-hPa and 2-m temperature,along with 925-hPa and 2-m specific humidity,during the whole 15-day forecast range.For other examined variables,such as 850-hPa zonal wind,850-hPa temperature,and 700-hPa humidity,SPP tends to yield more reliabl

Independence among leaf economics,leaf hydraulics and leaf size confers plants great capability in adapting to heterogeneous environments.However,it remains unclear whether the independence of the leaf traits revealed across species still holds within species,especially under stressed conditions.Here,a suite of traits in these dimensions were measured in leaves and roots of a typical mangrove species,Ceriops tagal,which grows in habitats with a similar sunny and hot environment but different soil salinity in southern China.Compared with C.tagal under low soil salinity,C.tagal under high soil salinity had lower photosynthetic capacity,as indicated directly by a lower leaf nitrogen concentration and higher water use efficiency,and indirectly by a higher investment in defense function and thinner palisade tissue;had lower water transport capacity,as evidenced by thinner leaf minor veins and thinner root vessels;and also had much smaller single leaf area.Leaf economics,hydraulics and leaf size of the mangrove species appear to be coordinated as one trait dimension,which likely stemmed from covariation of soil water and nutrient availability along the salinity gradient.The intraspecific leaf trait relationship under a stressful environment is insightful for our understanding of plant adaption to the multifarious environments.

A solid-state fault current limiter(SSFCL)is the key protective equipment in a direct current distribution network.In order to meet the high voltage requirements and reduce costs,implementing a SSFCL based on series-connected insulated gate bipolar transistors(IGBTs)is a promising approach.However,voltage unbalancing of IGBTs would be introduced if the gateloops of the IGBTs are non-identical.In this paper,a plug-in gate-loop compensator with discrete gate voltage feedback and pulsewidth current compensation is proposed.The main merits are:1)with the plug-in structure,the extra current sources only provide small power to fine-tune the gate-loop without affecting the functions provided by the commercial IGBT gate driver;2)the gate-emitter voltages of IGBTs are compared with the preset thresholds to obtain control criterion,and the pulsewidths of the current sources are controlled for gate-loop compensation,thus both analog-digital and digital-analog converters are avoided;3)the control law is easy to implement in FPGA,and is robust to voltage variation of power-loops.With the proposed compensator,the voltage unbalancing is alleviated immediately at the present switching cycle,and further eliminated cycle-by-cycle during the current limitation process.Experimental results verify the feasibility of the proposed compensator.
