Flexible carbon fiber-based composites for electromagnetic interference shielding

With the rapid development of electronic information technology,the waste electromagnetic radiation generated by the wireless and various other electronic devices has caused serious harm to human health.The development of high-efficiency flexible electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding materials has become one of the most effective ways to mitigate the increasingly serious problem of electromagnetic pollution.Flexible carbon fiber composites possess most of the physical requirements needed for EMI shielding applications,including high electrical conductivity,large specific surface area,light weight,flexibility,porous structure,and adjustable physical and chemical properties,and various morphology of carbon fibers-based composites applied EMI.In this review,the primary EMI shielding mechanism of carbonfiber-based materials is presented.Since carbon fiber suffers from a low absorption efficiency when used for EMI shielding by itself,it is usually combined with additional EMI filling materials.Therefore,the methods of adding EMI filler materials to the carbon fiber framework and the influence of different fillers on the EMI shielding performance are also discussed.In addition,the novel structural designs of flexible carbon fiber-based EMI shielding materials,including fiber orientation,core-shell structure,and multilayer heterostructure,are summarized in terms of their classification,which includes composites with metal,polymer,nano-carbon,and MXenes.The review concludes with a brief discussion of the challenges,research directions,and future prospects of carbon-fiber-based EMI shielding materials.

Molecular and functional comparisons of the vacuolar Na^+/H^+ exchangers originated from glycophytic and halophytic species

A novel vacuolar Na+/H+ exchanger, CgNHX1, was cloned from a halophytic species Chenopodium glaucum by using reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RACE) technique. Sequence alignment and phylogenetic analysis of 22 NHX genes from GenBank as well as the new CgNHX1 gene indicate that NHX genes shared a great degree of similarity, regardless of their glycophytic or halophytic origin. Expression of the CgNHX1 gene was induced by NaCl and peaked at 400 mmol/L NaCl. Overexpression of NHX1 genes in rice enhanced their tolerance to salt stress. However, there is no significant difference in salt tolerance among the transgenic rice plants overexpressing the NHX1 genes from either glycophytic or halophytic species. The Na+ content of both the wild type (WT) and transgenic plants increased when exposed to 50 and 100 mmol/L NaCl, and the Na+ concentration in transgenic plants was marginally higher than that of WT. Our data demonstrate that the overexpression of the NHX1 gene from either glycophytic or halophytic species resulted in the enhanced tolerance to salt stress at a similar level, suggesting that NHX gene per se might not be the reason accounting for the difference in salt tolerance between glycophytes and halophytes.

Double-layered skeleton of li alloy anchored on 3D metal foam enabling ultralong lifespan of li anode under high rate

The high specific capacity and low negative electrochemical potential of lithium metal anodes(LMAs),may allow the energy density threshold of li metal batteries(LMBs)to be pushed higher.However,the existing detrimental issues,such as dendritic growth and volume expansion,have hindered the practical implementation of LMBs.Introducing three-dimensional frameworks(e.g.,copper and nickel foam),have been regarded as one of the fundamental strategies to reduce the local current density,aiming to extend the Sand'time.Nevertheless,the local environment far from the skeleton is almost the same as the typical plane li,due to macroporous space of metal foam.Herein,we built a double-layered 3D current collector of li alloy anchored on the metal foam,with micropores interconnected macropores,via a viable thermal infiltration and cooling strategy.Due to the excellent electronic and ionic conductivity coupled with favorable lithiophilicity,the li alloy can effectively reduce the nucleation barrier and enhance the li^(+)transportation rate,while the metal foam can role as the primary promotor to enlarge the surface area and buffer the dimensional variation.Synergistically,the li composite anode with hierarchical structure of primary and secondary scaffolds realized the even deposition behavior and minimum volume expansion,outputting preeminent prolonged cycling performances under high rate.

In this paper,we have developed a decarboxylative amination of carboxylic acids with nitroarenes for the synthesis of secondary amines.The protocol is performed at mild conditions without the use of noble metals as catalysts.A wide range of structurally diverse secondary amines could be obtained in good yields(up to 94%)with good functional group tolerance.This transformation shows good to excellent selectivity,avoiding the generation of over alkylated byproducts.

Evaluation of G3BP1 in the prognosis of acute and acute-on-chronic liver failure after the treatment of artificial liver support system

BACKGROUND The increased expression of G3BP1 was positively correlated with the prognosis of liver failure.AIM To investigate the effect of G3BP1 on the prognosis of acute liver failure(ALF)and acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF)after the treatment of artificial liver support system(ALSS).METHODS A total of 244 patients with ALF and ACLF were enrolled in this study.The levels of G3BP1 on admission and at discharge were detected.The validation set of 514 patients was collected to verify the predicted effect of G3BP1 and the viability of prognosis.RESULTS This study was shown that lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)and prothrombin time were closely related to the prognosis of patients.After the ALSS treatment,the patient’amount of decreased G3BP1 index in difference of G3BP1 between the value of discharge and admission(difG3BP1)liver disease high-risk or low-risk group.At the same time,compared with the inflam matory marks[tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin(IL)-1βand IL-18],G3BP1 had higher discrimination and was more stable in the model analysis and validation set.When combined with AFP and LDH,concordance index was respectively 0.84 and 0.8 in training and validation cohorts.CONCLUSION This study indicated that G3BP1 could predict the prognosis of ALF or ACLF patients treated with ALSS.The combination of G3BP1,AFP and LDH could accurately evaluate the disease condition and predict the clinical endpoint of patients.

A novel topology with controllable wideband baseband impedance for power amplifiers

This paper presents a novel topology to control the baseband impedance of a power amplifier(PA)to avoid performance deterioration in concurrent dual-band mode.This topology can avoid pure resonance of capacitors and inductors LC,which leads to a high impedance at some frequency points.Consequently,it can be applied to transmitters that are excited by broadband signals.In particular,by adjusting the circuit parameters and increasing stages,the impedance of the key frequency bands can be flexibly controlled.A PA is designed to support this design idea.Its saturated output power is around 46.7 dBm,and the drain efficiency is>68.2%(1.8-2.3 GHz).Under concurrent two-tone excitation,the drain efficiency reaches around 40%even under 5.5 dB back-off power with the tone spacing from 10 MHz to 500 MHz.These results demonstrate that the proposed topology is capable of controlling wideband baseband impedance.

Enhanced electrochemical performance of li_(1.3)Al_(0.3)Ti_(1.7)(PO_(4))_(3) solid electrolyte by anion doping

Nowadays,the majority of the studies on the substitution are focused on cations(such as Y^(3+),Ti^(4+),P^(5+),etc.)in li_(1.3)Al_(0.3)Ti_(1.7)(PO_(4))_(3)(LATP),while there are few studies on the substitution of anion O^(2-).In this work,the modified LATP with a series of liCl(LATPClx,x=0.1,0.2,0.3,0.4)additives is prepared to enhance ionic conductivity.The successful introduction of Cl-makes the length of the c axis decrease from 20.822(2)to 20.792(1)Å,and the bulk conductivity of 2.13×10^(-3) S·cm^(-1) is achieved in LATPCl_(0.3).Moreover,the Al/Ti-O1/Cl1 and Al/Ti-O_(2)/Cl_(2) distance decrease,while the li1-O_(2)/Cl_(2) distance increases.lithium ions migrate more easily in the nanochannel of M3-M1-M3.In addition,the liCl additive increases the relative density and the grain boundary conductivity of LATPClx compounds.Naturally,a higher ionic conductivity of 2.12×10^(–4) S·cm^(-1) and a low activation energy of 0.30 eV are obtained in LATPCl_(0.3).Correspondingly,the symmetric cell exhibits a low overpotential of±50 mV for over 200 h in LATPCl_(0.3).The solid-state li|LATPCl_(0.3)|NCM811(NCM811=liNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O_(2))battery exhibits high initial capacity 185.1 mAh·g^(-1) with a capacity retention rate of 95.4%after 100 cycles at 0.5 C.This result suggests that liCl additive is an effective strategy to promote electrochemical properties of LATP solid electrolyte and can be considered for reference to other inorganic solid electrolytes systems.

limits of Uneven Battery Power in Modular Multilevel Converter-based Battery Energy Storage Systems

For modular multilevel converter-based battery energy storage systems (MMC-BESS), uneven power among batteries of SMs will be deduced by battery aging, battery fault, etc., which will degrade performance and even lead to system failure. For maintaining the balance of capacitor voltage, this paper analyzes the limits of the uneven power of batteries, which are presented as the current limits in this paper. According to analysis, an analytical method is proposed that only the dc and fundamental frequency components of the arm current are used to calculate current limits. With the current limits it is able to evaluate the reasonability of power distribution among batteries. Meanwhile, increase of fundamental frequency component will enhance the current limits, and the dc component determines the size relationship between the absolute values of the upper and lower current limits. Finally, simulation model and experiment prototype are built for verifying the theoretical analysis and current limits calculation method, and satisfactory results are provided.

The family Rhyscotidae Budde-Lund,1904 contains two genera:Rhyscotoides Schmalfuss&Ferrara,1978 and Rhyscotus Budde-Lund,1885.To date,twenty-one species within the family are known,occurring in the subtropic and tropic regions(Schmalfuss,2003;Schmidt,2003;Boyko et al.,2022).The members of the family can be recognized by the cephalon with a strongly inflated frons,the antennae with two-jointed flagellum,the maxillae are almost semicircular,the maxillipeds have short palpus and endite,and pleopod exopodites without pseudotracheae(Schmalfuss&Ferrara,1978).Before this study,the members of Rhyscotidae were unknown in China.The present research describes a new species of the genus Rhyscotus from Hainan Island,representing a new record of the family Rhyscotidae from China.

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide treatment confers resistance to neonatal ischemia and hypoxia:effects on neurobehavioral phenotypes

Neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain injury is the main cause of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy and cerebral palsy.Currently,there are few effective clinical treatments for neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain injury.Here,we investigated the neuroprotective and molecular mechanisms of exogenous nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide,which can protect against hypoxic injury in adulthood,in a mouse model of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain injury.In this study,nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(5 mg/kg)was intraperitoneally administered 30 minutes befo re surgery and every 24 hours thereafter.The results showed that nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide treatment improved body weight,brain structure,adenosine triphosphate levels,oxidative damage,neurobehavioral test outcomes,and seizure threshold in experimental mice.Tandem mass tag proteomics revealed that numerous proteins were altered after nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide treatment in hypoxic-ischemic brain injury mice.Parallel reaction monitoring and western blotting confirmed changes in the expression levels of proteins including serine(or cysteine)peptidase inhibitor,clade A,member 3N,fibronectin 1,5'-nucleotidase,cytosolic IA,microtubule associated protein 2,and complexin 2.Proteomics analyses showed that nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide ameliorated hypoxic-ischemic injury through inflammation-related signaling pathways(e.g.,nuclear factor-kappa B,mitogen-activated protein kinase,and phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase/protein kinase B).These findings suggest that nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide treatment can improve neurobehavioral phenotypes in hypoxic-ischemic brain injury mice through inflammation-related pathways.
