BACKGROUND:To assess the association between relevant brain computed tomography(CT)parameters at different time and neurological prognosis in adult comatose survivors after cardiac arrest(CA).METHODS:A total of 94 CA patients who underwent early and late CT scans(within 24 h and 24 h to 7 d respectively after CA)between January 2018 and April 2020 were enrolled in this retrospective *** to the Cerebral Performance Category(CPC)score at hospital discharge,the patients were divided into either a good outcome(CPC 1-2)group or a poor-outcome group(CPC 3-5).The grey-to-white matter ratio(GWR)and the proportion of cerebrospinal fluid volume(pCSFV)were *** predicting poor outcomes,the prognostic performance of relevant CT parameters was evaluated,and the comparison analysis(expressed as the ratio of parameters in late CT to those in the early CT)of diff erent CT time was ***:Totally 26 patients were in the good-outcome group,while 68 patients were in the poor-outcome *** putamen density,GWR,and pCSFV in late CT were significantly lower in the poor-outcome group(P24 h after CA may be a good choice as a neuroimaging approach to evaluating *** predict neurological prognosis,comparison analysis of diff erent CT time can be used as another promising tool in comatose CA survivors.

BACKGROUND Small-cell carcinoma of the prostate(SCCP)is a clinically rare malignant tumor,accounting for<1%of all prostate ***,negativity for all SCCP neuroendocrine markers is ***,we report a case of SCCP with completely negative neuroendocrine markers and explore its clinicopathologic features,thus improving the understanding of its clinical diagnosis and *** SUMMARY We report the case of a 48-year-old patient with SCCP negative for common sensitive neuroendocrine-staining *** was the first symptom,and rectal examination revealed a hard prostate,palpable nodules,diffuse prostate enlargement,no pressure pain,no blood staining in the finger sleeve,1.33 ng/mL total prostate-specific antigen level,and a free-to-total prostate-specific antigen ratio of 0.21 ng/*** suggested a prostate size of 5.3 cm×5.8 cm×5.6 cm,and magnetic resonance imaging suggested prostate *** lower posterior bladder wall,rectal mesentery,and bilateral seminal vesicles were invaded,with multiple lymph node metastases in the pelvis.A whole-body bone scan suggested an abnormally active multiple bone metabolism and possible bone *** and lungs computed tomography revealed no significant nodal *** a pathological diagnosis of SCCP after a prostate puncture,with negative indicators of common sensitive neuroendocrine staining,chemotherapy was administered;the patient died 4-5 mo after SCCP *** SCCP is a rare disease characterized by atypical clinical symptoms,limited treatment options,a short survival period,and a poor prognosis.

Soybean (Glycine max) is an essential economic crop that provides vegetative oil and protein forhumans, worldwide. Increasing soybean yield as well as improving seed quality is of great *** weight/size, oil and protein content are the three major traits determining seed quality, and seedweight also influences soybean yield. In recent years, the availability of soybean omics data and thedevelopment of related techniques have paved the way for better research on soybean functionalgenomics, providing a comprehensive understanding of gene functions. This review summarizes theregulatory genes that influence seed size/weight, oil content and protein content in soybean. We alsoprovided a general overview of the pleiotropic effect for the genes in controlling seed traits andenvironmental stresses. Ultimately, it is expected that this review will be beneficial in breedingimproved traits in soybean.

Dear editor,According to the World Health Organization,ischemic heart disease and stroke were the top 2leading causes of death in 2019.[1]In the past few years,intravenous recombinant tissue-type plasminogen activator(rt-PA)has been a significantly effective treatment to increase survival and reduce mortality in acute ischemic stroke.[2,3]However,as the number of patients who receive alteplase is increasing,a rare but potentially life-threatening adverse complication of alteplase administration is becoming more common-orolingual angioedema(OA).[4-6]

In the coming decades,the space-based gravitational-wave(GW)detectors such as Taiji,TianQin,and LISA are expected to form a network capable of detecting millihertz GWs emitted by the mergers of massive black hole binaries(MBHBs).In this work,we investigate the potential of GW standard sirens from the Taiji-TianQin-LISA network in constraining cosmological *** the optimistic scenario in which electromagnetic(EM)counterparts can be detected,we predict the number of detectable bright sirens based on three different MBHB population models,i.e.,popⅢ,Q3d,and *** results show that the TaijiTianQin-LISA network alone could achieve a constraint precision of 0.9%for the Hubble constant,meeting the standard of precision ***,the Taiji-TianQin-LISA network could effectively break the cosmological parameter degeneracies generated by the CMB data,particularly in the dynamical dark energy *** combined with the CMB data,the joint CMB+Taiji-TianQin-LISA data offerσ(w)=0.036 in the wCDM model,which is close to the latest constraint result obtained from the CMB+SN *** also consider a conservative scenario in which EM counterparts are not *** to the precise sky localizations of MBHBs by the Taiji-TianQin-LISA network,the constraint precision of the Hubble constant is expected to reach 1.2%.In conclusion,the GW standard sirens from the Taiji-TianQin-LISA network will play a critical role in helping solve the Hubble tension and shedding light on the nature of dark energy.

Quaternary ammonium compounds(QACs)are commonly used in a variety of consumer and commercial products,typically as a component of *** the COVID-19 pandemic,QACs became one of the primary agents utilized to inactivate the SARS CoV-2 virus on ***,the ecotoxicological effects of QACs upon aquatic organisms have not been fully *** this study,we examined the effects of a widely used QAC(benzalkonium chloride-C_(14),BAC-14)on two toxigenic Microcystis strains and one non-toxigenic freshwater Microcystis strain and carried out an analysis focused on primary,adaptive and compensatory stress responses at apical(growth and photosynthesis)and metabolic *** analysis revealed that the two toxic Microcystis strains were more tolerant than the non-toxic strain,with 96 hr-EC_(50)values of 0.70,0.76,and 0.38 mg/L BAC-14 for toxigenic *** FACHB-905,toxigenic *** FACHB-469,and non-toxigenic *** FACHB-908,*** photosynthetic activities of the Microcystis,assessed via F_(v)/F_(m) values,were significantly suppressed under 0.4 mg/L ***,this analysis revealed that BAC-14 altered 14,12,and 8 metabolic pathways in *** FACHB-905,*** FACHB-469,and *** FACHB-908,*** is noteworthy that BAC-14 enhanced the level of extracellular microcystin production in the toxigenic Microcystis strains,although cell growth was not significantly ***,these data show that BAC-14 disrupted the physiological and metabolic status of Microcystis cells and stimulated the production and release of microcystin,which could result in damage to aquatic systems.

The energy spectrum of energetic electrons is a key factor representing the dynamic variations of Earth’s Van Allen radiation *** measurements have indicated that the commonly used Maxwellian and Kappa distributions are inadequate for capturing the realistic spectral distributions of radiation belt *** we adopt the Kappa-type(KT)distribution as the fitting function and perform a statistical analysis to investigate the radiation belt electron flux spectra observed by the Van Allen *** calculating the optimal values of the key KT distribution parameters(i.e.,κandθ2)from the observed spectral shapes,we fit the radiation belt electron fluxes at different L-shells under different geomagnetic *** this manner,we obtain typical values of the KT distribution parameters,which are statistically feasible for modeling the radiation belt electron flux profiles during either geomagnetically quiet or active periods.A comparison of the KT distribution model results with those using the Maxwellian or Kappa distribution reveals the advantage of the KT distribution for studying the overall properties of the radiation belt electron spectral distribution,which has important implications for deepening the current understanding of the radiation belt electron dynamics under evolving geomagnetic conditions.
