Extend ethylene aromatization single-event kinetic modeling with physical and chemical descriptor based on ZSM-5 catalyst

The ethylene aromatization is critical for the methanol to aromatics and light alkane dehydroaromatization process.The single-event microkinetic(SEMK)model combining the linear free energy theory and solid acid distribution concept were established and extend for the ethylene aromatization process,which can reduce the kinetic parameters and simplify the reaction network by comparison with the SEMK model including subtype elementary steps based on the type of carbenium ions.Further introducing deactivation parametersφinto the model and applying the linear free energy model to the deactivation experimental data,the obtained deactivation parametersφindicate that the carbon deposition precursors have the greatest impact on reducing the reaction rate of single-molecular reactions and the smallest impact on the hydrogen transfer reaction.Meanwhile,according to the change of reaction enthalpy,effect of carbenium ion structure on methylation,ethylation,cyclization and endo-βscission was investigated by introducing linear free energy concept into the SEMK model.The effect of different acid strengths on elementary steps was investigated based on the acid strength distribution model,it was found that the methylation and oligomerization reactions,the ali-βscission reaction,endo-βscission reaction and the cyclization reaction were more sensitive to strong acidity sites.The physisorption and chemisorption heat are separated from the protonation heat in the linear free energy kinetic model and the acid strength distribution kinetic model,and the absolute values of the obtained physisorption and chemisorption heat increase with the carbon number of carbenium ions.Furthermore,the parameters of the acid strength distribution kinetic model were applied to propane dehydroaromatization on H-ZSM-5 and the ethane dehydroaromatization on Zn/ZSM-5 to confirm the independence of parameters in the SEMK model with the similar reaction network.

Concise Cascade Methods for Transgenic Rice Seed Discrimination using Spectral Phenotyping

Currently,the presence of genetically modified(GM)organisms in agro-food markets is strictly regulated by enacted legislation worldwide.It is essential to ensure the traceability of these transgenic products for food safety,consumer choice,environmental monitoring,market integrity,and scientific research.However,detecting the existence of GM organisms involves a combination of complex,time-consuming,and labor-intensive techniques requiring high-level professional skills.In this paper,a concise and rapid pipeline method to identify transgenic rice seeds was proposed on the basis of spectral imaging technologies and the deep learning approach.The composition of metabolome across 3 rice seed lines containing the cry1Ab/cry1Ac gene was compared and studied,substantiating the intrinsic variability induced by these GM traits.Results showed that near-infrared and terahertz spectra from different genotypes could reveal the regularity of GM metabolic variation.The established cascade deep learning model divided GM discrimination into 2 phases including variety classification and GM status identification.It could be found that terahertz absorption spectra contained more valuable features and achieved the highest accuracy of 97.04%for variety classification and 99.71%for GM status identification.Moreover,a modified guided backpropagation algorithm was proposed to select the task-specific characteristic wavelengths for further reducing the redundancy of the original spectra.The experimental validation of the cascade discriminant method in conjunction with spectroscopy confirmed its viability,simplicity,and effectiveness as a valuable tool for the detection of GM rice seeds.This approach also demonstrated its great potential in distilling crucial features for expedited transgenic risk assessment.

This paper considers series and parallel systems comprising n components drawn from a heterogeneous population consisting of m different subpopulations.The components within each subpopulation are assumed to be dependent,while the subpopulations are independent of each other.The authors also assume that the subpopulations have different Archimedean copulas for their dependence.Under this setup,the authors discuss the series and parallel systems reliability for three different cases,respectively.The authors use the theory of stochastic orders and majorization to establish the main results,and finally present some numerical examples to illustrate all the results established here.

Premature thermal decomposition behavior of 3,4-dinitrofurazanfuroxan with certain types of nitrogen-rich compounds

3,4-Dinitrofurazanfuroxan(DNTF),as a high-energy-density material,features good thermal stability and wide applications.This study aimed to elucidate the thermal decomposition mechanism of DNTF combined with nitrogen-rich compounds containing N-H.The thermal stabilities of DNTF and its hybrid systems were investigated using differential thermal analysis/thermogravimetry(TG),vacuum stability test,and accelerating rate calorimetry under isothermal,non-isothermal,and adiabatic conditions,respectively.Results showed that the thermal stability and thermal safety of DNTF significantly decreased after combining with nitrogen-rich compounds containing N-H.Calculation results showed that the activation energy of the DNTF hybrid systems was significantly lower than that of DNTF.The TGIR was used to monitor the generation of fugitive gases during the thermal decomposition of the DNTF/5-aminotetrazole(5-ATZ)hybrid.Moreover,the nitrogen-rich molecules containing N-H interacted extensively with DNTF,and this interaction accelerated the thermal degradation of DNTF.

Kinetic model of vibration screening for granular materials based on biological neural network

The kinetic model is the theoretical basis for optimizing the structure and operation performance of vibration screening devices.In this paper,a biological neurodynamic equation and neural connections were established according to the motion and interaction properties of the material under vibration excitation.The material feeding to the screen and the material passing through apertures were considered as excitatory and inhibitory inputs,respectively,and the generated stable neural activity landscape was used to describe the material distribution on the 2D screen surface.The dynamic process of material vibration screening was simulated using discrete element method(DEM).By comparing the similarity between the material distribution established using biological neural network(BNN)and that obtained using DEM simulation,the optimum coefficients of BNN model under a certain screening parameter were determined,that is,one relationship between the BNN model coefficients and the screening operation parameters was established.Different screening parameters were randomly selected,and the corresponding relationships were established as a database.Then,with straw/grain ratio,aperture diameter,inclination angle,vibration strength in normal and tangential directions as inputs,five independent adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems(ANFIS)were established to predict the optimum BNN model coefficients,respectively.The training results indicated that ANFIS models had good stability and accuracy.The flexibility and adaptability of the proposed BNN method was demonstrated by modeling material distribution under complex feeding conditions such as multiple regions and non-uniform rate.

Analysis of the Microstructure and Macroscopic Fluid-Dynamics Behavior of Soft Soil after Seepage Consolidation

The purpose is to study the microstructure and macroscopic fluid-dynamic behavior of soft soil after it has been subjected to a seepage consolidation procedure.First,the microscopic pore structure of soft clay is quantitatively studied by a scanning electron microscope technique.Second,the average contact area rate of soil particles is obtained employing statistical analysis applied to microscopic images of soft soil,and the macroscopic porosity of soft clay is determined through an indoor geotechnical test.Finally,mathematical relationships are introduced by fitting the results of the test.The results show that the unmodified empirical equation for the permeability coefficient of coarse-grained soil produces large errors in calculations related to cohesive soils.By contrast,the permeability coefficient calculated by the empirical equation modified by the average contact area ratio theory is in good agreement with the measured average value of the indoor test.

Drug-induced liver injury(DILI)is a common adverse drug reaction,which can even result in liver failure[1,2].The Chinese Medical Association issued the Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of DILI based on the Roussel Uclaf Causality Assessment Method(RUCAM)in 2015[3].A previous study reported that traditional Chinese medicines(TCMs),herbal and dietary supplements,and antituberculosis drugs were the main causes of DILI in China[4].Herb-induced liver injury(HILI)refers to liver injury caused by TCMs,natural drugs,and their related preparations[5].

Anode reaction mechanisms of Na|NaCl-CaCl2|Zn liquid metal battery

Na|NaCl-CaCl_(2)|Zn liquid metal battery is regarded as a promising energy storage system for power grids.Despite intensive attempts to present a real mechanism of metal electrodes reaction, those for Na||Zn LMBs are not clear yet. Herein, the anode reactions for the multiple discharge potential plateaus were deduced by means of FactSage thermochemical software, which were subsequently validated by X-ray diffraction analysis and the modeling of phase transformation in the cooling process. A pre-treatment process was proposed for the analysis of anode product composition using the atomic absorption spectrometry method, and the anode states at working temperature(560 ℃) were obtained by the Na-CaZn ternary phase for the first time. The results indicate the discharge of Na and Ca led to the formation of Ca-Zn intermetallic compounds, whilst the extraction of Ca in Ca-Zn intermetallic compounds was responsible for the multiple discharge plateaus. Moreover, it was found that the charging product was in electrochemical double liquid metal layers, which are composed of Na and Ca with dissolved Zn respectively.

Focal mechanism inversion of the 2018 M_(W)7.1 Anchorage earthquake based on high-rate GPS observation

The M_(W)7.1 Anchorage earthquake is the most destructive earthquake since the 1964 M_(W)9.2 great Alaska earthquake in the United States.In this study,high-rate GPS data and near-field broadband seismograms are used in separate and joint inversions by the generalized Cut-and-Paste(gCAP)method to estimate the focal mechanism.In order to investigate the influence of crustal velocity structure on the focal mechanism inversion results,two velocity models(Crustl.0 and Alaska Earthquake Center(AEC))are used for detailed comparison and analysis.The results show that:(1)The two nodal planes of the optimal double-couple solution are nearly north-south striking,with dip angles of about 30°and 60°respectively,and the centroid focal depth is 54-55 km,which is an intraplate normal fault event.(2)The inversion results for the two types of data and the two velocity models are consistent with some previous studies,which indicates that the results are stable and reliable.The more accurate velocity structure model is helpful for focal mechanism inversion of the complex earthquake.(3)The inclusion of high-rate GPS data in joint inversion provides a more effective constraint on centroid depth.
