Reconstruction of the thermal evolution since the late paleozoic in the Ounan Sag, Eastern Qaidam Basin, NW China: New constraints from vitrinite reflectance data and(U-Th)/He thermochronology

Reconstructing the thermal evolution of the eastern Qaidam Basin is important for gaining a deeper understanding of its lithospheric geodynamics and for more accurate hydrocarbon evaluation and prediction. This article presents a set of new apatite and zircon(U-Th)/He thermochronological *** with 336 vitrinite reflectance(R_(o)) data, the thermal history of the Ouanan Sag in the eastern Qaidam Basin has been reconstructed using inversion models. Three detrital samples from the Ounan Sag shows that the apatite(U-Th)/He ages are primarily concentrated in the range of 17.0 Ma to 76.5 Ma and that the zircon(U-Th)/He ages range from 200 Ma to 289.3 Ma. The time-temperature models demonstrate that the Ounan Sag experienced rapid subsidence and heating from the Carboniferous to late Permian, and exhumation/cooling events from the end of Permian to the Triassic. This thermal evolution was influenced by the widespread intrusion of plutons, and the collision and orogenesis caused by asthenosphere upwelling below the Qaidam arc, and slab rollback of the Southern Kunlun oceanic lithosphere, respectively. Additionally, our models depict the main exhumation/cooling stages since the Paleogene and a reheating event in the Miocene as a result of the intensifying growth of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and local sedimentary loading, followed by the initial India-Eurasia collision. Furthermore, the eastern Qaidam Basin experienced consistent heating during the late Paleozoic, reaching the maximum paleotemperature and geothermal gradient in the late Permian, with values of ~230℃ and~43-44℃/km, respectively. This study suggests that the source rocks in the most upper member of upper Carboniferous Keluke(C_(2)k) Formations in the Ounan Sag reached the gas generation stage in the late Permian.

A Simple Approach to Fabricate CdS-SiO_2 Hybrid Microspheres by Producing CdS Nanoparticles on the Surface of Thiolated SiO_2 Microspheres

We have developed a simple synthetic method to prepare the hybrid microspheres of CdS nanoparticles on the surface of silica microspheres modified by（3-mercaptopropyl） trimethoxysilane（MPS）. The--SH groups of MPS can bind with the Cd^2＋ ions on the surface of SiO2. When thioacetamide releases H2S, the nanosized CdS particles（ 1-6 nm） will successfully be generated on the silica surface under the experimental conditions. The size of the CdS nanoparticles was found to be related to the concentration of Cd^2 ＋ feed and the size of silica spheres, the higher the concentration of Cd^2＋ and the larger of silica microspheres, the bigger the size of CdS nanoparticles. Techniques including UV, PL, TEM and XPS were used to characterize the CdS-SiO2 hybrid microspheres.

Hepatic differentiation of rat induced pluripotent stem cells in vitro

AIM: To show the efficient generation of hepatocytelike cells(HLCs) differentiated from the induced pluripotent stem cells(iP SCs) of ***: Hepatic differentiation was achieved using a three-step protocol with several growth factors. First, rat i PSCs were differentiated into definitive endoderm cells using Activin A and Wnt3 a treatment. Then fibroblast growth factor 4 and bone morphogenetic protein 2 were added to the culture medium and used to induce hepatic differentiation. Finally, hepatocyte growth factor, Oncostatin M and dexamethasone were used for hepatic maturation. The liver-related markers and functions of HLCs were assessed at the gene and protein ***: After endodermal induction, the differentiated cells expressed endodermal markers forkhead box protein A2 and SRY-box containing gene 17 at the m RNA and protein levels. After 20 d of culture, the i PSCs were differentiated into HLCs. These differentiated cells expressed hepatic markers including α-fetoprotein, albumin CK8, CK18, CK19, and transcription factor HNF-4α. In addition, the cells expressed functional proteins such as α1-antitrypsin, cytochrome P450 1A2 and CYP 3A4. They acted like healthy hepatic cells, storing glycogen and taking up indocyanine green and low-density lipoproteins. Also, the rates of urea synthesis(20 d 1.202 ± 0.080 mg/dL vs 0 d 0.317 ± 0.021 mg/d L, P < 0.01) and albuminsecretion(20 d 1.601 ± 0.102 mg/d L vs 0 d 0.313 ± 0.015 mg/d L, P < 0.01) increased significantly as differentiation ***: Rat i PSCs can differentiate into HLCs rapidly and efficiently. These differentiated cells may be an attractive resource for treatment of end-stage liver disease.

Rapid screening for Klinefelter syndrome with a simple high-resolution melting assay： a multicenter study

Klinefelter syndrome （KS） is the set of symptoms that result from the presence of an extra X chromosome in males. Postnatal population-based KS screening will enable timely diagnosis of this common chromosomal disease, providing the opportunity for early intervention and therapy at the time point when they are most effective and may prevent later symptoms or complications. Therefore, through this study, we introduced a simple high-resolution melting （HRM） assay for KS screening and evaluated its clinical sensitivity and specificity in three medical centers using 1373 clinical blood samples. The HRM assay utilized a single primer pair to simultaneously amplify specific regions in zinc finger protein, X-linked （ZFX） and zinc finger protein, Y-linked （ZFY）. In cases of KS, the ratios of ZFX/ZFYare altered compared to those in normal males. As a result, the specific melting profiles differ and can be differentiated during data analysis. This HRM assay displayed high analytical specificity over a wide range of template DNA amounts （5 ng-50 ng） and reproducibility, high resolution for detecting KS mosaicism, and high clinical sensitivity （100%） and specificity （98.1%）. Moreover, the HRM assay was rapid （2 h per run）, inexpensive （0.2 USD per sample）, easy to perform and automatic, and compatible with both whole blood samples and dried blood spots. Therefore, this HRM assay is an ideal postnatal population-based KS screening tool that can be used for different age groups.

The widely-developed,mixed clastic-carbonate succession in the northern Qaidam Basin records the paleo-environment changes under the glacial activity during the Late Paleozoic icehouse period in the context of regional tectonic stability,however,the depositional environment and sequence stratigraphy characteristics of the mixed deposits is rarely reported and still not *** the latest drilling wells data,we analyzed the sedimentary and stratigraphic characterization of the mixed strata via detailed field outcrops and core observations and thin section microscopic observations and recognized three depositional systems,including progradational coastal system,incised valley system,and carbonate-dominated marine shelf system,and identified four third-order sequences,SQ1,SQ2,SQ3 and SQ4,consisting of LST,TST,and *** depositional environment is overall belonged to marine-continental transition context and shifted from marine to continental environment frequently,showing an evolutionary pattern from marine towards terrestrial-marine transition and then back into the marine environment again in the long-term,which was controlled by the regional tectonic subsidence and the high-frequency and large-amplitude sea-level changes due to the Late Paleozoic glacial *** result is of significance in understanding the evolution of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the sedimentation-climate response.

Clinical parameters predicting pathologic complete response following neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for rectal cancer

Thermal analysis of GaN-based laser diode mini-array

Thermal characteristics of multiple laser stripes integrated into one chip is investigated theoretically in this paper. The temperature pattern of the laser diode mini-array packaged in a TO-can is analyzed and optimized to achieve a uniform temperature distribution among the laser stripes and along the cavity direction. The temperature among the laser stripes varies by more than 5 K if the stripes are equally arranged, and can be reduced to less than 0.4 K if proper arrangement is designed. For conventional submount structure, the temperature variation along the cavity direction is as high as 7 K, while for an optimized trapezoid submount structure, the temperature varies only within 0.5 K.

Assessment of 188Re marked anti MHC class II antibody by peripheral blood mononuclear cells stimulated by donor alloantigen

Background Previous studies showed that anti MHC-II monoclone antibody （MAb） only had partial inhibiting effect of alloreactive mixed lymphocyte reaction （MLR） in vitro and it was unsteady and non-persistent. The aim of this research was to determine whether radioactive isotope 188Re marked MHC-II antibody could benefit the allograft acceptance in transplantation as compared to normal MHC-II antibody. Methods 188Re was incorporated to 2E9/13F（ab＇）2 which is against swine MHC class II antigen （MAb-~88Re）. Porcine peripheral blood mononuclear （PBMC） cells were examined for proliferation and cytokine mRNA expression after stimulation with MHC-II MAb or MAb-188Re. Results The proliferative response of recipient PBMCs in mixed lymphocyte reaction （MLR） to donor alloantigen showed that the stimulation index of MAb-188Re group was significantly lower than the MHC-II MAb group and control （P 〈0.05）. mRNA expression of interleukin 2, interferon y and tumor necrosis factor a （type 1 cytokines） was lower in MAb-188Re group than the MHC-II MAb group, while interleukin 10 （type 2 cytokines） was higher in MAb-~aSRe group in the first 24 hours. Conclusion MAb-188Re could help the graft acceptance by inhibiting T cell proliferation, lowering the expression of type 1 cytokines and elevating the type 2 cytokines produced by PBMC.

Since the weak magneto-chiral dichroism phenomenon of chiral paramagnetic compound was discovered,the chiral magnets have attracted great interests for their potential application as developing advanced data storage components,molecular spintronic devicesand quantum *** order to further investigate the magnetic properties of the chiral 3d-4f system,we synthesized four pairs of chiral Ni –Ln heterometallic complexes [NiLn((R, R)-L)(ClO4)(HO)](Ln= Dy(1), Tb(3)) and [NiLn((R, R)-L)(CO)(NO)]·(CHOH) (Ln=Dy (5),Tb(7),(HL=((R,R)-or (S,S)-cyclohexane-1,2-diylbis(azanediyl))-bis(methylene))-bis(2-methoxyphenol))).Complexes 1-4 are crystallized in an orthorhombic C222 space group,central Ln ions is surrounded by eight oxygen atoms which constitute biaugmented trigonal prism (C).Complexs 5-8 are crystallized in the triclinic P1 space *** alternating current (ac) magnetic susceptibilities of 1 showed that both the in-phase (χ′) and out-of-phase (χ″) are frequency-and temperature dependent with a series of frequency-dependent peaks for theχ″,which is the typical features of field-induced slow magnetic relaxation phenomena,with U=24.67 K andτ=1.67×10 *** 5 also exhibits singlemolecule magnet behavior when the field is applied at 2000 Oe,with U=15.05 K andτ=6.37×10 s.

Lanthanide-metal-organic-frameworks (Ln-MOFs) have attracted considerable attations due to combining diversiform structural networks of MOFs with the unique luminescent and magnetic properties of rare earth *** for suitable rare earth ions and ligands is a suitable strategy towards preparation of multifunctional materials.[Gd(bptc)]·[CHNH]·nHO was synthesized through the action between of the 3,3′,5,5′-tetracarboxylic acid ligand (Hbptc) and Gd(NO)·*** crystallizes in the chiral trigonal space group P321/P321 and has a three-dimensional (3D) anionic framework structure with a[(CH)NH]originating from the decomposition of *** crystallographically asymmetric unit consists of one eight-coordinated Gd ion,one bptcand one lattice[(CH)NH].The magnetic study reveals that it displays cryogenic magnetic refrigeration properties with maximum-ΔSm values of 26.36 J kg K at 2.0 K and 7.0 *** was also found that this MOF could adsorb cationic dyes rhodamine B (RHB) via a cation exchange process.
