Agents with robust ultraviolet(UV)absorption capabilities play a vital role in safeguarding organisms and inorganic materials from UV ***,the synthetic procedures towards these UV absorbers are usually lengthy and complicated,accompanied by undesirable side reactions and the generation of toxic *** nature,allomelanin,a class of melanins variant found in melanized fungi near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant,plays crucial roles in the cell wall of melanized fungi,offering resistance to harsh external environments and promising UV resistance ***,allomelanin can be rapidly biosynthesized via the polymerization of 1,8-dihydroxynaphthalene in presence of enzymes in *** by this,we report here a green enzymatic polymerization strategy to efficiently and eco-friendly synthesize polydihydroxynaphthalene(PDHN)-based artificial allomelanin nanoparticles(NPs)with interesting *** calculations and experimental results demonstrated that the PDHN NPs exhibited excellent UVabsorption capacity,surpassing another widely used artificial melanin,polydopamine(PDA).Moreover,the light absorption mechanism of PDHN NPs was systematically elucidated for the first ***,the PDHN NPs were incorporated with polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)to create an anti-aging composite film with significantly enhanced UV shielding *** potential of these composite films in safeguarding plants from UV damage was meticulously ***,these PDHN NPs were first found to produce hydroxyl radicals(·OH)under UV irradiation,offering antibacterial properties that expand their potential applications.

Solar energy conversion and high-value chemical production are of utmost ***,the de-velopment of efficient photocatalysts with strong redox ability remains *** we report a unique 3D/0D In_(2)S_(3)/WO_(3)S-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst obtained by depositing WO_(3)quantum dots(QDs)onto hierarchical In_(2)S_(3)*** In_(2)S_(3)/WO_(3)composite exhibits outstanding visible light absorption,with a maximum optical response of up to 600 *** electronic interaction and charge separation at interfaces are explored by in situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and density func-tional theory(DFT)*** difference in work function causes In_(2)S_(3)to donate electrons to WO_(3)upon combination,leading to the formation of an internal electric field(IEF)at the *** to the IEF and bent energy bands,the transfer and separation of photogenerated charge carriers follow an S-scheme pathway within In_(2)S_(3)/WO_(3).Owing to the strong redox ability,spatial charge separation and lower H 2-generation barrier of S active sites,the optimized In_(2)S_(3)/WO_(3)heterojunctions show enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen evolution of 0.39 mmol h^(-1)g^(-1),6.7 times that of pristine In_(2)S_(3).In addition,the In_(2)S_(3)/WO_(3)S-scheme heterojunctions afford a remarkable activity for photocatalytic nitrobenzene hydro-genation with nearly 98%conversion and 99%selectivity of aniline within 1 *** work might present new insights into developing efficient S-scheme heterojunctions for various photocatalytic applications.

Hydrogels have been the subject of significant research in the field of friction due to their exceptional lubricating *** this study,the G-quadruplex hydrogel with high selectivity for K+ions was formed by introducing a mixture of G,2-formylphenylboronic acid,and polyethylene glycol diamine into simulated artificial tears solution with high transparency,and an ultra-low coefficient of friction(COF)of about 0.004 was obtained based on the simulated ocular environment,thus achieving macroscopic *** friction pairs simulating the ocular environment,to assess the frictional performance of the G-quadruplex hydrogel as both a lubricant and a friction pair based on the simulated ocular environment,we conducted experiments considering various factors such as concentration,sliding speed,and *** these experiments,it was found that superlubricity was achieved when the G-quadruplex hydrogel was applied as lubricant or friction *** effect was attributed to the three-dimensional network structure and hydrophilicity of the hydrogel,which facilitated the formation of a highly bearing and flowing hydration layer,promoting macroscopic *** to the G-quadruplex hydrogel with low concentration,the high concentration hydrogel(75 mM)exhibited increased mechanical strength and robustness in *** with biocompatibility experiments,our synthesized G-quadruplex hydrogel has excellent biocompatibility and offers a novel approach to achieve superlubricity in ocular drug delivery.

Optimal Design and Experimental Study of Tightly Coupled SCR Mixers for Diesel Engines

Two types of tightly coupled Selective Catalytic Reduction(SCR)mixers were designed in this study,namely Mixer 1 integrated with an SCR catalyst and Mixer 2 arranged *** Fluid Dynamics(CFD)software was utilized to model the gas flow,spraying,and pyrolysis reaction of the aqueous urea solution in the tightly coupled SCR *** parameters of gas flow velocity uniformity and ammonia distribution uniformity were simulated and calculated for both Mixer 1 and Mixer 2 in the tightly coupled SCR system to compare their advantages and *** simulation results indicated that Mixer 1 exhibited a gas velocity uniformity of 0.972 and an ammonia distribution uniformity of 0.817,whereas Mixer 2 demonstrated a gas velocity uniformity of 0.988 and an ammonia distribution uniformity of *** 2 performed better in the simulation ***,a 3D-printed prototype of Mixer 2 was manufactured and installed on an engine test bench to investigate ammonia distribution uniformity and NOX conversion *** experimental investigations yielded the following findings:1)The ammonia distribution uniformity of Mixer 2 was measured as 0.976,which closely aligned with the simulation result of 0.964,with a deviation of 1.2%from the model calculations;2)As exhaust temperature increased,the ammonia distribution uniformity gradually improved,while an increase in exhaust flow rate resulted in a decrease in ammonia distribution uniformity;3)When utilizing Mixer 2,the NOX conversion efficiency reached 84.7%at an exhaust temperature of 200°C and 97.4%at 250°*** the exhaust temperature range of 300°C to 450°C,the NOX conversion efficiency remained above 98%.This study proposed two innovative mixer structures,conducted simulation analysis,and performed performance *** research outcomes indicated that the separately arranged Mixer 2 exhibited superior *** tightly coupled SCR systemequippedwith Mixer 2 achieved excellent levels

Azulene is a promising building block for creating innovative polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. This study involved the construction of three nonalternant isomers of pentacene by fusing two azulene units, named Az-PH1/2/3. Az-PH1 was initially developed through the rhodium(Ⅱ)-catalyzed cyclization of bis(N-tosylhydrazone)s. Intriguingly, Az-PH1 was also unexpectedly obtained during a nickel(0)-catalyzed one-step tandem reaction. We investigated the optical and electrochemical properties, aromaticity, and photo-oxidative stability of Az-PH1, comparing it with the well-known pentacene using density functional theory, electrochemical, and photophysical tests. Our results showed that the azulene-fusing strategy resulted in a molecule with narrow optical bandgaps(2.046 eV) and a long half-life time under ambient air conditions.

The remarkable skill of changing its grasp status and relocating its fingers to perform continuous in-hand manipulation is essential for a multifingered anthropomorphic hand.A commonly utilized method of manipulation involves a series of basic movements executed by a high-level ***,it remains unclear how these primitives evolve into sophisticated finger gaits during ***,we propose an adaptive finger gait-based manipulation method that offers real-time regulation by dynamically changing the primitive interval to ensure the force/moment balance of the *** manipulation relies on contact events that act as triggers for real-time online replanning of multifinger *** identify four basic motion primitives of finger gaits and create a heuristic finger gait that enables the continuous object rotation of a round *** experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed *** the constant breaking and reengaging of contact between the fingers and the object during manipulation,the robotic hand can reliably manipulate the object without *** when the object is subjected to interfering forces,the proposed method demonstrates robustness in managing *** work has great potential for application to the dexterous operation of anthropomorphic multifingered hands.

Influence of Mass Ratio of Resin and Stabilizer on Mechanical Properties of Mo Fiber-reinforced Granite Polymer Composite

Because inferior mechanical strength of granite polymer composite(GPC)has become the main drawback limiting its application and popularization,Mo fibers were added into(GPC)to improve its mechanical *** properties of matrix materials with different mass ratio of resin and stabilizer(MRRS)were investigated *** influences of MRRS on interface bonding strength of Mo fiber-matrix,wettability and mechanical strength of GPC were discussed,respectively,and the theoretical calculation result of MRRS k was obtained,with the optimal value of k=*** k=4,tensile strength,tensile strain and fracture stress of the cured resin achieve the maximum *** for k=7,the corresponding values reach the *** the increase of MRRS k,surface free energy of the cured resin first increases and then decreases,while contact angles between Mo sample and matrix have displayed the opposite *** of resin to Mo fiber is the best at k=*** load of Mo fiber and interface bonding strength appear the maximum at k=4,followed by k=5,k=3 the third,and k=7 the *** k=4,mechanical properties of Mo fiber-reinforced GPC are optimal,which is consistent with the result of theoretical *** study is of great significance to get better component formulas of Mo fiber reinforced GPC and to improve its application in machine tools.

Integrative cultivation practices(ICPs)are essential for enhancing cereal yield and resource use ***,the effects of ICP on the rhizosphere environment and roots of paddy rice are still poorly *** this study,four rice varieties were produced in the *** variety was treated with six different cultivation techniques,including zero nitrogen application(0 N),local farmers’practice(LFP),nitrogen reduction(NR),and three progressive ICP techniques comprised of enhanced fertilizer N practice and increased plant density(ICP1),a treatment similar to ICP1 but with alternate wetting and moderate drying instead of continuous flooding(ICP2),and the same practices as ICP2 with the application of organic fertilizer(ICP3).The ICPs had greater grain production and nitrogen use efficiency than the other three *** length,dry weight,root diameter,activity of root oxidation,root bleeding rate,zeatin and zeatin riboside compositions,and total organic acids in root exudates were elevated with the introduction of the successive cultivation *** enhanced nitrate nitrogen,the activities of urease and invertase,and the diversity of microbes(bacteria)in rhizosphere and non-rhizosphere soil,while reducing the ammonium nitrogen *** nutrient contents(ammonium nitrogen,total nitrogen,total potassium,total phosphorus,nitrate,and available phosphorus)and urease activity in rhizosphere soil were reduced in all treatments in comparison with the non-rhizosphere soil,but the invertase activity and bacterial diversity were *** main root morphology and physiology,and the ammonium nitrogen contents in rhizosphere soil at the primary stages were closely correlated with grain yield and internal nitrogen use *** findings suggest that the coordinated enhancement of the root system and the environment of the rhizosphere under integrative cultivation approaches may lead to higher rice production.
