Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide treatment confers resistance to neonatal ischemia and hypoxia:effects on neurobehavioral phenotypes

Neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain injury is the main cause of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy and cerebral ***,there are few effective clinical treatments for neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain ***,we investigated the neuroprotective and molecular mechanisms of exogenous nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide,which can protect against hypoxic injury in adulthood,in a mouse model of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain *** this study,nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(5 mg/kg)was intraperitoneally administered 30 minutes befo re surgery and every 24 hours *** results showed that nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide treatment improved body weight,brain structure,adenosine triphosphate levels,oxidative damage,neurobehavioral test outcomes,and seizure threshold in experimental *** mass tag proteomics revealed that numerous proteins were altered after nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide treatment in hypoxic-ischemic brain injury *** reaction monitoring and western blotting confirmed changes in the expression levels of proteins including serine(or cysteine)peptidase inhibitor,clade A,member 3N,fibronectin 1,5'-nucleotidase,cytosolic IA,microtubule associated protein 2,and complexin *** analyses showed that nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide ameliorated hypoxic-ischemic injury through inflammation-related signaling pathways(e.g.,nuclear factor-kappa b,mitogen-activated protein kinase,and phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase/protein kinase b).These findings suggest that nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide treatment can improve neurobehavioral phenotypes in hypoxic-ischemic brain injury mice through inflammation-related pathways.

Thymus is the important immune organ,responsible for T cell development and *** lower circulating T counts have been observed in patients who died from COVID-19 compared with ***,also known as FNC,is a thymus-homing anti-SARS-CoV-2 drug in treating COVID-19 *** this study,single-cell transcriptome,proteomics,and parallel reaction monitoring(PRM)were applied to insight into the activation process of FNC in rat and SARS-CoV-2 rhesus monkey *** results indicated that thymic immune cells possess a robust metabolic capacity for cytidine-analogue drugs such as *** enzymes involved in the FNC phosphorylation process,such as Dck,Cmpk1,and Nme2,were highly expressed in CD4+ T cells,CD8+ T cells,and DP(CD4+ CD8+)***,FNC could upregulate multiple phosphorylated kinases in various cell types while downregulating the phosphatases,phosphoribosyl transferases,and deaminases,*** robust phosphorylation capacity of the thymus for cytidine analogue drug FNC,and the activation effect of FNC on the NAs metabolism system potentially contribute to its enrichment in the thymus and immune protection *** suggests that it is crucial to consider the expression level of phosphorylation kinases when evaluating NA drug properties,as an important factor during antiviral drug design.

Photocatalytic oxidation techniques are promising for degradation of the highly ecotoxic and refractory isothiazolinone bactericides in relevant industrial ***,low charge separation and directional transport efficiency under solar light radiation restrain their practical ***,we report a nanostructured photocatalyst doped with Gd and b in TiO_(2)with carbon incorporation and defect formation through incomplete *** specific surface area,grain size,and hydrophilicity of TiO_(2)are improved,which is beneficial for the interfacial reaction between the photocatalyst and *** reduction of the bandgap,the broadening of the photo-absorption range,and the retarded electron-hole recombination promote the photocatalytic performance due to the improved oxygen vacancies based on the electron distribution *** difference in partial density of states(ΔPDOS)between the current catalyst and raw TiO_(2)indicates that the co-doping of Gd and b with incomplete calcination changes the electronic hybridization of conduction band and valence band near the Fermi level,and affects the band gap *** improved charge separation and directional transport efficiency and benefited the formation of main active species,including•OH and O_(2)•−,for the pollutant *** rate of photocatalytic removal of benzisothiazolinone(bIT)by the current photocatalyst reaches 1.25 h^(−1),being 4.31 times that of TiO_(2).The current work offers a constructive approach to the design and synthesis of nanostructured photocatalysts for the photocatalytic degradation of refractory organic pollutants.

The octupole deformation and collectivity in octupole double-magic nucleus 144ba are investigated using the Cranking covariant density functional theory in a three-dimensional lattice *** reduced b(E3)transition probability is implemented for the first time in semiclassical approximation based on the microscopically calculated electric octupole *** available data,including the I-ωrelation and electric transitional probabilities b(E2)and b(E3)are well ***,it is shown that the ground state of 144ba exhibits axial octupole and quadrupole deformations that persist up to high spins(I≈24h).

Excitons,bound electron–hole pairs,in two-dimensional hybrid organic inorganic perovskites(2D HOIPs)are capable of forming hybrid light-matter states known as exciton-polaritons(E–Ps)when the excitonic medium is confined in an optical *** the case of 2D HOIPs,they can self-hybridize into E–Ps at specific thicknesses of the HOIP crystals that form a resonant optical cavity with the ***,the fundamental properties of these self-hybridized E–Ps in 2D HOIPs,including their role in ultrafast energy and/or charge transfer at interfaces,remain ***,we demonstrate that>0.5µm thick 2D HOIP crystals on Au substrates are capable of supporting multiple-orders of self-hybridized E–P *** E–Ps have high Q factors(>100)and modulate the optical dispersion for the crystal to enhance sub-gap absorption and *** varying excitation energy and ultrafast measurements,we also confirm energy transfer from higher energy E–Ps to lower energy E–***,we also demonstrate that E–Ps are capable of charge transport and transfer at *** findings provide new insights into charge and energy transfer in E–Ps opening new opportunities towards their manipulation for polaritonic devices.

The topological magnetoelectric effect （TME） is a hallmark response of the topological field theory,which provides a paradigm shift in the study of emergent topological ***,its direct observation is yet to be realized due to the demanding magnetic configuration required to gap all surface ***,we theoretically propose that axion insulators with a simple ferromagnetic configuration,such as the Mnbi2Te4/（bi2Te3）nfamily,provide an ideal playground to realize the *** the designed triangular prism geometry,all the surface states are magnetically *** a vertical electric field,the surface Hall currents give rise to a nearly half-quantized orbital moment,accompanied by a gapless chiral hinge mode circulating in ***,the orbital magnetization from the two topological origins can be easily distinguished by reversing the electric *** work paves the way for direct observation of the TME in realistic axion-insulator materials.

Accurate and reasonable prediction of industrial electricity consumption is of great significance for promoting regional green transformation and optimizing the energy ***,the regional power system is complicated and uncertain,affected by multiple factors including climate,population and *** paper incorporates structure expansion,parameter optimization and rolling mechanism into a system forecasting framework,and designs a novel rolling and fractional-ordered grey system model to forecast the industrial electricity consumption,improving the accuracy of the traditional grey *** optimal fractional order is obtained by using the particle swarm optimization algorithm,which enhances the model ***,the proposed model is employed to forecast and analyze the changing trend of industrial electricity consumption in Fujian *** results show that industrial electricity consumption in Fujian will maintain an upward growth and it is expected to 186.312 billion kWh in *** with other seven benchmark prediction models,the proposed grey system model performs best in terms of both simulation and prediction performance metrics,providing scientific reference for regional energy planning and electricity market operation.

Accurate prediction of the aerodynamic response of a compressor under inlet distortion is crucial for next-generation civil aircraft,such as boundary Layer Ingestion(bli)silent ***,research on the body Force(bF)model plays a significant role in achieving this ***,distorted inlet airflow can lead to varying operating conditions across different spatial locations of the compressor,which may cause some regions to operate outside the stability ***,the accuracy of bF model simulations might be *** address this issue,this paper proposes a numerical simulation strategy for acquiring the steady axisymmetric three-dimensional flow field of a compressor operating at low mass flow rates,which is known as the Underlying Axisymmetric Pressure Rise Characteristic(UAPRC).The proposed simulation accounts for two different rotor speeds of a transonic compressor and identifies initial positions in the flow field where deterioration occurs based on prior experimental ***,simulation results are incorporated into the bF model to replicate hub instability observed in *** results demonstrate that this strategy provides valid predictions of the UAPRC of the compressor,thereby addressing the limitations associated with the bF model.
