We present a novel generating function(GF)method for the self-condensing vinyl polymerization(SCVP)system with any initial distribution of preexisted *** a method was proven to be especially useful to investigate the semi-batch SCVP system allowing a sequence of feeding operations during the ***,the number-,weight-,and z-average molecular weights as well as dispersity index of hyperbranched polymers can be explicitly given,which are determined by predetermined feeding details and conversions in each polymerization *** analytical results are further confirmed by the corresponding Monte Carlo ***,the present GF method has provided a unified treatment to the semi-batch SCVP ***,hyperbranched polymers with desired properties can be prepared by designing feeding details and presetting conversions at each step based on the present GF method.

Phase equilibria of hydrogen bonding （HB） fluid confined in a slit pore with broken symmetry were investigated by the density functional theory incorporated with modified fundamental measure theory, where the symmetry breaking originated from the distinct interactions between fluid molecules and two walls of the slit pore. In terms of adsorption-desorption isotherms and the corresponding grand potentials, phase diagrams of HB fluid under various conditions are presented. Furthermore, through phase coexistences of laying transition and capillary condensation, the effects of HB interaction, pore width, fluid-pore interaction and the broken symmetry on the phase equilibrium properties are addressed. It is shown that these factors can give rise to apparent influences on the phase equilibria of confined HB fluid because of the competition between intermolecular interaction and fluid-pore interaction. Interestingly, a significant influence of broken symmetry of the slit pore is found, and thus the symmetry breaking can provide a new way to regulate the phase behavior of various confined fluids.

The WC/CoCrFeNiAl0.2 high-entropy alloy(HEA)composites were prepared through high-gravity combustion *** preparation method is presented ***,using a designed suitable multiphase thermite system,the molten CoCrFeNiAl0.2 HEA was fabricated using low-cost metal *** molten HEA was subsequently infiltrated into the WC layer to fabricate WC/CoCrFeNiAl0.2 composites in a highgravity *** porosity of the WC/CoCrFeNiAl0.2 composites was down-regulated,and their compressive yield strength was up-regulated when the high-gravity field was increased from 600g to 1500g because this infiltration process of a HEA melt into the WC layer is driven by centrifugal *** WC particles in the composites exhibited a gradient distribution along the direction of the centrifugal force,which was attributed to the combined action of the high-gravity field and the temperature gradient *** Vickers hardness of the sample was down-regulated from 9.53 to 7.41 GPa along the direction of the centrifugal force.

In recent years,a new process for leaching scheelite concentrates with sulfur-phosphorus mixed acid has been successfully *** process suffers from the elimination of the retarding effect of calcium sulfate,the selective extraction of tungsten from the H_(3)PW_(12)O_(40)-H_(2)SO_(4)-H_(3)PO_(4)mixture solution,and the removal of introduced ***,in this paper,we investigated the inhibition measures of a calcium sulfate-blocking membrane,the selective extraction of tungsten by ion exchange,and the removal of phosphorus by the magnesium ammonium salt *** results showed that the addition of calcium sulfate whisker seeds and a higher H_(3)PO_(4)concentration inhibited spontaneous diffuse nucleation,promoted crystal growth,and avoided the formation of a dense blocking *** 98 wt.%of the scheelite concentrate was digested by H_(2)SO_(4)-H_(3)PO_(4).The selective adsorption of PW_(12)O_(40)^(3-)was realized using D301 resin,and the extraction efficiency of tungsten exceeded 99.9%.After desorption with ammonia water,PW_(12)O_(40)^(3-)was depolymerized into WO_(4)^(2-)and PO_(4)^(3-).99.9 wt.%of phosphorus was removed in the form of MgNH_(4)PO_(4)by the magnesium ammonium salt method,and the residual phosphorus concentration in the solution was lower than 10 mg·L^(-1).After purification,the highest-grade ammonium paratungstate product was prepared by evaporative crystallization.

ZnNiO thin films with different contents of Ni(0-10 at.%) were fabricated on quartz and Si(100) substrates by pulsed laser deposition(PLD).We measured the samples by X-ray diffraction(XRD),field-emission scanning electron microscope(FE-SEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),ultraviolet-visible spectrometer(UV-VIS),and Hall *** the Ni contents were below 3 at.%,partial Zn2+ ions were replaced by the Ni2+ ions without forming any other phases,which enhanced the conductivity of the *** the Ni contents were above 3 at.%,Ni ions were at the interstitial sites,and Ni-related clusters and defects were able to emerge in the films,resulting in a worsening of electrical and optical properties.A ferromagnetic hysteresis with a coercive force of approximately 30 Oe was observed in the ZnNiO film with a Ni content of 3 at.% at room temperature.

The electronic structure and magnetism of compound Nd\-2Fe 17 N\-3 has been studied with MS_Xα method. It was found that there are negative exchange couplings between Fe(f) and Fe(c) atoms in Nd\-2Fe 17 N x compounds. The interstitial N atoms make the unit cell volume of the compounds increase a little, and hence the strength of negative exchange coupling decreases.

A new method of high-gravity combustion synthesis(HGCS)followed by post-treatment(PT)is reported for preparing high-performance high-entropy alloys(HEAs),Cr0.9FeNi2.5V0.2Al0.5 alloy,whereby cheap thermite powder is used as the raw *** this process,the HEA melt and the ceramic melt are rapidly formed by a strong exothermic combustion synthesis reaction and completely separated under a high-gravity ***,the master alloy is obtained after ***,the master alloy is sequentially subjected to conventional vacuum arc melting(VAM),homogenization treatment,cold rolling,and annealing treatment to realize a tensile strength,yield strength,and elongation of 1250 MPa,1075 MPa,and 2.9%,*** present method is increasingly attractive due to its low cost of raw materials and the intermediate product obtained without high-temperature *** on the calculation of phase separation kinetics in the high-temperature melt,it is expected that the final alloys with high performance can be prepared directly across master alloys with higher high-gravity coefficients.

Abstract The development of physically crosslinked hydrogels with excellent mechanical and sensing properties is of importance for expanding the practical applications of intelligent soft hydrogel ***,after copolymerization of hydroxyl-containing amino acid derivative N-acryloyl serine(ASer)with acrylamide(AM),we introduce Zr4+through an immersion strategy to construct metal ion-toughened non-covalent crosslinked hydrogels(with tensile strength of up to 5.73 MPa).It is found that the synergistic coordination of hydroxyl and carboxyl groups with Zr^(4+)substantially increases the crosslinking density of the hydrogels,thereby imparting markedly superior mechanical properties compared to hydroxyl-free Zr^(4+)-crosslinked hydrogels,such as N-acryloyl alanine(AAla)copolymerized with AM hydrogels(with tensile strength of 2.98 MPa)Through the adjustment of the composition of the copolymer and the density of coordination bonds,the mechanical properties of the hydrogels can be modulated over a wide ***,due to the introduction of metal ions and the dynamic nature of coordination bonds,the hydrogels also exhibit excellent sensing performance and good self-recovery properties,paving the way for the development of flexible electronic substrates with outstanding comprehensive performances.

Multistage heat treatment involving quenching(Q),lamellarizing(L),and tempering(T)is applied to marine 10Ni5CrMoV *** microstructure and mechanical properties were studied by multiscale characterizations,and the kinetics of reverse austenite transformation,strain hardening behavior,and toughening mechanism were further *** lamellarized specimens possess low yield strength but high toughness,especially cryogenic *** leads to the development of film-like reversed austenite at the martensite block and lath boundaries,refining the martensite structure and lowering the equivalent grain *** analysis of austenite reversion based on the JMAK model shows that the isothermal transformation is dominated by the growth of reversed austenite,and the maximum transformation of reversed austenite is reached at the peak temperature(750℃).The strain hardening behavior based on the modified Crussard-Jaoul analysis indicates that the reversed austenite obtained from lamellarization reduces the proportion of martensite,significantly hindering crack propagation via martensitic transformation during the *** a consequence,the QLT specimens exhibit high machinability and low yield *** with the QT specimen,the ductile-brittle transition temperature of the QLT specimens decreases from-116 to-130℃due to the low equivalent grain size and reversed austenite,which increases the cleavage force required for crack propagation and absorbs the energy of external load,*** work provides an idea to improve the cryogenic toughness of marine 10Ni5CrMoV steel and lays a theoretical foundation for its industrial application and comprehensive performance improvement.
