The influences of magnesium and ferric ions in their different ratios on the rate of gypsum crystallization were studied under the conditions similar to those of wet flue-gas desulfurization（WFGD）. The results show that addition of both Mg^2＋ and Fe^3＋ increased induction time and decreased the growth efficiency up to 50% compared with the baseline（without impurities） depending on the concentration and the type of impurity. The effects of Mg^2＋ and Fe^3＋ on the surface energy and the rate of nucleation were estimated by employing the classical nucleation theory. The surface energy decreased by 8% and 14% with the addition of 0.02 mol/L magnesium or ferric ions, respectively, compared to the baseline. Mg^2＋ and Fe^3＋ made the growth rate of the （020）, （021） and （040） faces of gypsum crystal a much greater reduction, which leads to the formation of needle crystals compared to the baseline which favors the formation of plate or flakes. Furthermore, an edge detection program was developed to quantify the effects of impurities on the filtration rate of gypsum product. The results show that the inhibition efficiency of the presence of 0.02 mol/L Mg^2＋ and Fe^3＋ on the filtration rate of gypsum crystal ranges from 22% to 39%.

Drug-target interactions(DTIs) prediction plays an important role in the process of drug *** computational methods treat it as a binary prediction problem, determining whether there are connections between drugs and targets while ignoring relational types information. Considering the positive or negative effects of DTIs will facilitate the study on comprehensive mechanisms of multiple drugs on a common target, in this work, we model DTIs on signed heterogeneous networks, through categorizing interaction patterns of DTIs and additionally extracting interactions within drug pairs and target protein pairs. We propose signed heterogeneous graph neural networks(SHGNNs), further put forward an end-to-end framework for signed DTIs prediction, called SHGNN-DTI,which not only adapts to signed bipartite networks, but also could naturally incorporate auxiliary information from drug-drug interactions(DDIs) and protein-protein interactions(PPIs). For the framework, we solve the message passing and aggregation problem on signed DTI networks, and consider different training modes on the whole networks consisting of DTIs, DDIs and PPIs. Experiments are conducted on two datasets extracted from Drug Bank and related databases, under different settings of initial inputs, embedding dimensions and training modes. The prediction results show excellent performance in terms of metric indicators, and the feasibility is further verified by the case study with two drugs on breast cancer.

Background Radiofrequency catheter ablation （RFCA） necessarily produces an area of myocardial necrosis. However, the difference of the extent of myocardial injury between circumferential pulmonary vein isolation （CPVI） and complex fractionated atrial electrograms （CFAE） ablation in patients with atrial fibrillation （AF） has not been investigated before. Methods Twenty-nine consecutive male patients （n=29） with either paroxysmal or persistent AF were selected for CPVI or CFAE ablation. The CPVI or CFAE ablation was performed with a three-dimensional electroanatomical mapping system （CARTO）. Serum cardiac biomarkers, for example, cardiac troponin T （cTnT）, aspartate transaminase （AST）, lactate dehydrogenase （LDH）, creatine kinase （CK）, and creatine kinase myocardial bound （CKMB） were determined by the Elecsys STATE immunoassay. Cardiac structure and function were measured with echocardiography. Results Echocardiography showed that there was no significant difference of atrioventricular structure or function parameters between the CPVI group and the CFAE ablation group. Serum cTnT showed a significant increase in the CFAE ablation group over the CPVI group at 12 and 24 hours after the procedure （P〈0.05, respectively）, and then it was reduced to a normal level after 48 hours. Serum AST showed a significant increase in the CFAE ablation group over the CPVI group at post-procedure, 4 and 12 hours after the procedure （P 〈0.05, respectively）, and then it reached to a normal level after 24 hours. There was no significant difference in LDH, CK, or CKMB levels between the CFAE ablation group and the CPVI group at any time point （P〉0.05）. Conclusions cTnT and AST other than LDH, total CK or CKMB activity significantly increased more in the CFAE ablation group than the CPVI group. However, the difference of the serum levels of cTnT, AST between two groups was temporary.

a＇-NaV2O5 was prepared by a simple hydrothermal process. X-ray diffraction confirmed the orthorhombic structure of a＇-NaV2O5, with preferential growth along the （001） direction. Scanning electron microscopy showed a＇-NaV205 was composed of flake-shaped crystals. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy confirmed the co-existence of V^4＋ and V^5＋ in a＇-NaV2O5, which results in an average V^4.5＋ oxidation state of a＇-NaV2O5. The observed Raman bands are ascribed to different V-O vibrations, a＇-NaV205 shows a reversible specific capacity of about 100 mA·h·g^-1 between 3.5 and 1.0 V, with a good capacity retention. The good electrochemical stability of the material is attributed to its structural stability during Li^＋ intercalation.

The U-shaped crushed rock embankment(UCRE),of which widely utilized in the permafrost regions along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway,has the capability to rapidly reduce the ground temperature of the underlying ***,there remains uncertainty regarding the adaptation of UCRE to climate change and its long-term cooling *** study focuses on nine UCRE monitoring sites along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway to analyze the dynamic variations of the ground temperature underlying permafrost from 2006 to *** efficiency of UCRE in stabilizing permafrost temperature in different permafrost zones is evaluated by considering the permafrost table,ground temperature,and MAGT,as well as the temperature difference between the top and bottom of the crushed rock layer and the ground temperature variation index(GTVI).The results show that UCRE is suitable for application in extremely unstable warm permafrost regions where the MAGT is higher than-0.5℃.Moreover,UCRE effectively diminishes the disparity in permafrost thermal stability between the sunny and shaded shoulders of the *** short-term and long-term effect of cooling permafrost is experiencing a change related with permafrost ***,in stable cold permafrost regions with MAGT lower than-1.5℃,the long-term cooling effect of UCRE on permafrost seems to gradually di-minishes,but UCRE continues to fulfill the role of stabilizing the underlying permafrost thermal state over the *** results show that UCRE can quickly restore and stabilize the thermal state of permafrost in the early stages of construction,and adapt to the influence of future climate *** findings provide important guidance for understanding the variations of permafrost thermal stability beneath the embankment in permafrost regions,as well as for improving the embankment stability and operational safety of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway.

Background: Currently, hepatectomy remains the first-line therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). However, surgery for patients with huge( > 10 cm) HCCs is controversial. This retrospective study aimed to explore long-term survival after hepatectomy for patients with huge HCC. Methods: The records of 188 patients with pathologically confirmed HCC who underwent curative hepatectomy between 2007 and 2017 were reviewed;patients were divided into three groups according to tumor size: huge( > 10 cm;n = 84), large(5–10 cm;n = 51) and small( 10 cm) had significant effect on OS, and postoperative antiviral therapy and postoperative complications also had significant effects on DFS. Conclusions: Huge HCC is not a contraindication of hepatectomy. Although most of these patients experienced recurrence after surgery, OS and DFS were not significantly different from those of patients with large HCC after resection.

The black shale of the Mesoproterozoic Cuizhuang Formation in the Changcheng System in Yongji city,North China Craton, is a potential source rock. Understanding the organic matter enrichment mechanism is crucial for evaluating source rock resources and understanding oil and gas accumulation *** this study, we evaluated the sedimentary paleoenvironment and organic matter enrichment mechanisms of shale using thin section observations, mineral composition analysis, organic geochemistry, and elemental geochemistry. We found significant differences in the sedimentary paleoenvironment and organic matter enrichment mechanisms between the lower Cuizhuang Formation and the Beidajian Formation shale. The Cuizhuang Formation was deposited in a late-stage, restricted basin environment during the rift phase, and elemental and geochemical indicators showed that the Cuizhuang Formation was in a suboxic-anoxic water environment, that was influenced by a warm and humid paleoclimate and submarine hydrothermal activities, which promoted the accumulation of organic matter. However, the enrichment of organic matter in the Cuizhuang Formation was mainly controlled by redox *** formation of suboxic-anoxic water environments may be closely related to the warm and humid paleoclimate and submarine hydrothermal activities. Warm conditions promote continental weathering and increase marine productivity, thereby consuming oxygen in the bottom water. Moreover, acidic hydrothermal activity also helps to establish an anoxic environment. Our results reveal the effects controlling various coupled mechanisms dominated by redox conditions, which may explain the development of source rocks in the Cuizhuang Formation.
