To enable rapid recovery of a steel bridge column after an earthquake,a novel tubular-section steel bridge column equipped with low-yield-point(LYP)steel tubular plates in the root replaceable pier is proposed.For the purpose of discussing the seismic behavior of the novel steel bridge column,quasi-static tests and finite element simulation analyses of the specimens were carried out.The effects of parameters such as the axial compression ratio,eccentricity,and thickness and material strength of the tubular plate in the energy-dissipating zone are discussed.Experimental results from seven specimens that were subjected to four failure modes are presented.The damage to the quasi-static specimens is localized to the replaceable energy-dissipating pier.The seismic behavior of the novel steel bridge columns is significantly influenced by the axial compression ratio and eccentricity of specimens.Numerical results show that the high stress area of the specimens is mainly concentrated in the connection zone between the LYP steel tubular plate and the bottom steel plate,which is consistent with the position of the quasi-static specimen when it was prone to fracture.Finally,a calculation formula is proposed to facilitate the capacity prediction of this new steel tubular bridge column under repeated loading.

The current research on noncircular hobbing mainly focuses on the linkage model and motion realization.However,the intermittent cutting characteristics of hobbing would increase uncertainties in the manufacturing process.In this paper,a hobbing machining model with tool-shifting characteristics was proposed to solve the problems of cutting force fluctuation and inconsistency of tooth profile envelope accuracy at different positions of the pitch curve in noncircular gear hobbing.Based on the unit cutting force coefficient method,the undeformed chip volume generated by interrupted cutting was used to characterize the fluctuation trend of the hobbing force.The fluctuation characteristics of the cutting force generated by different hobbing models were compared and analyzed.Using the equivalent gear tooth and hob slotting numbers,an analysis model of the tooth profile envelope error of the noncircular gear was constructed.Subsequently,the tooth profile envelope errors at different positions of the pitch curve were compared and analyzed based on the constructed model.The transmission structure of the electronic gearbox was constructed based on the proposed hobbing model,and the hobbing experiment was conducted based on the selfdeveloped noncircular gear CNC hobbing system.This paper proposes a hobbing method that can effectively suppress the fluctuation of the peak and whole circumference cutting force and reduce the maximum envelope error of the whole circumference gear teeth.

AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)eutectic high entropy alloy(EHEA)and AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)-x NbC(x=2.5wt%,5.0wt%,7.5wt%,and 10wt%)high entropy alloy(HEAs)were prepared by mechanical alloying(MA).The effects of milling time and NbC content on the alloying behavior and grain size of the AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)EHEA were investigated.The experimental results show that the AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)EHEA primarily consists of order BCC(B2)and face-centered-cubic(FCC)phases,while the AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)-x NbC(x=2.5wt%,5.0wt%,7.5wt%,and 10wt%)HEAs are composed of B2,FCC,and NbC phases.With the increase of milling time,the powder goes through three stages,irregularity,cold welding fracture and spheroidization.The particle size of AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)EHEA powder shows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing.Therein,the particle size presents a normal distribution during 0-50 h alloying.With the addition of NbC,the AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)-x NbC HEAs powders are significantly refined.And the degree of grain refinement gradually increases with the increase of NbC content.

Electrochemical formation of Mg-La-Mn alloys by coreduction of Mg(Ⅱ),La(Ⅲ)and Mn(Ⅱ)in liCl+KCl molten salts

In the present work,cyclic voltammetry(CV),square wave voltammetry(SWV)and chronopotentiometry(CP)were used to investigate the electrochemical coreduction behaviors of La(Ⅲ)and Mg(Ⅱ)as well as La(Ⅲ),Mg(Ⅱ)and Mn(Ⅱ)on Mo electrode in liCl+KCl molten salts.CV and SWV results exhibit that the coreduction mechanism of La(Ⅲ)and Mg(Ⅱ)on Mo electrode is that La(Ⅲ)is reduced and Mg-La intermetallic compound is formed,leading to the deposition potential of La(Ⅲ)shifting to more positive one.The electrochemical signals pertaining to the formation of metallic La,Mg and Mn as well as Mg-La intermetallic compound are also observed by coreduction of La(Ⅲ),Mg(Ⅱ),and Mn(Ⅱ)in liCl+KCl molten salt on the inert Mo electrode.However,the electrochemical signals associated with the formation of La-Mn and Mg-Mn alloys are not observed,which means that the depolarization effect of La(Ⅲ)and Mg(Ⅱ)does not occur on pre-deposited Mn electrode.The Mg-La-Mn alloys were formed by co-deposition of La(Ⅲ),Mg(Ⅱ),and Mn(Ⅱ)on Mo electrode at various concentration ratios of La(Ⅲ)and Mg(Ⅱ).The results of scanning electron microscopy equipped with energy dispersive spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction displays that the Mg-La-Mn alloys are comprised of La-Mg compound Mg_(17)La_(2),Mg and Mn phases.The concentration ratio of La(Ⅲ)and Mn(Ⅱ)has few effects on the alloy composition.

The organic-inorganic hybrid composites displayed great potential for biotechnological and biomedical application.In this research,a gelatin/alginate/silica hybrid microsphere was developed by a synergy of membrane emulsification process and biomimetic mineralization method.The gelatin was mixed and complexed with alginate solutions(water phase).The water phase was extruded through a Shirasu Porous Glass(SPG)membrane,and then was crosslinked,which formed gelatin/alginate microspheres.The biomimetic mineralization was occurred in situ by immersing gelatin/alginate complex in a Na_(2)SiO_(3) solution,while silica was formed around the organic microspheres,resulting in the final gelatin/alginate/silica hybrid microspheres.These microspheres were characterized by SEM,TEM,EDS,TGA/DTA,and DSC.The hybrid microcapsules present a more than 40%mass fraction of the inorganic component,and displayed superior swelling resistance to biopolymer complex microspheres.Glycerol dehydrogenase(GlyDH)was immobilized in the obtained novel gelatin/alginate-silica hybrid microspheres as the model enzyme.Due to the protective effect of carriers,the pH tolerance stability,storage and recycling stability of the immobilized GlyDH were all improved in comparison with free GlyDH.

Sedimentology and Paleoenvironmental Characteristics of Fine-grained Sediments in Coal-bearing Strata in the Eastern Ordos Basin:A Case Study of the Exploratory Well in the Zizhou Area

The continuously collected cores from the Permo-Carboniferous coal-bearing strata of the eastern Ordos Basin are essential for studying the hydrocarbon potential in this region.This study adopted sedimentological and geochemical methods to analyze the sedimentary environment,material composition,and geochemical characteristics of the coal-bearing strata.The differences in depositional and paleoclimatic conditions were compared;and the factors influencing the organic matter content of fine-grained sediments were explored.The depositional environment of the Benxi and Jinci formations was lagoon to tidal flat with weakly reduced waters with low salinity and dry-hot paleoclimatic conditions;while that of the Taiyuan Formation was a carbonate platform and shallow water delta front,where the water was highly reductive.The xerothermic climate alternated with the warm and humid climate.The period of maximum transgression in the Permo-Carboniferous has the highest water salinity.The Shanxi Formation was deposited in a shallow water delta front with a brackish and fresh water environment and alternative weak reductiveness.And the paleoclimate condition is dry-hot.The TOC content in fine-grained samples was averaging 1.52%.The main controlling mechanism of organic matter in this area was the input conditions according to the analysis on input and preservation of organic matter.

Seahorse embryos are brooded in the enclosed nutrient-rich environment of the male brood pouch,which may be prone to bacterial infection.The immune responses of interleukin(IL)genes in the brood pouch have not been well studied.We identifi ed 13 interleukins in the lined seahorse Hippocampus erectus.Tissue-specifi c expression analysis revealed increased mRNA expression levels of il-1β,il-18,and il-8 in the brood pouch.When challenged with lipopolysaccharide or Vibrio parahaemolyticus,il-1βand il-18 were active as part of the acute and chronic infl ammatory responses,respectively.Importantly,il-8 may be involved in powerful antibacterial immune responses and may be induced by il-1βand il-18 via a process involving the nuclear factor-κB signaling pathway.These results suggest that il-1β,il-18,and il-8 may play key roles in the antibacterial immune defense of the brood pouch in male seahorses.

Ordered mesoporous silica materials exhibit enormous potential in industrial production.Since coal fly ash(CFA)is abundant in Si,it has become a green and promising way to utilize CFA by synthesizing porous silica materials.However,the stable crystalline structure of CFA limits the extraction of Si,and the residue is generated during the process of extracting Si.In this work,we proposed a no-residue method to synthesize ordered mesoporous silica out of CFA.Sodium carbonate(Na_(2)CO_(3))was used to reconstruct the crystals of the CFA,and the calcined mixture then directly reacted with the precipitators.This method combined the process of Si extraction and porous material synthesis.In this method,no residue was generated and the silicon in both amorphous and crystalline phases of CFA was fully utilized.By this method,the extraction efficiency of Si was increased from 31.75%to nearly 100%.The as-synthesized mesoporous silica had a highly-ordered pore structure with a space group of la-3d,a surface area of 663.87 m^(2)/g,a pore volume of 0.41 cm^(3)/g,and an average pore diameter of 2.73 nm.The mechanism of crystalline transformation and material structure formation were systematically studied.This method provides a new idea to dispose of CFA and synthesize porous silica materials.

Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is a progressive neurodegenerative disease with phenotypic changes closely associated with both genetic variants and imaging pathology.Brain imaging biomarker genomics has been developed in recent years to reveal potential AD pathological mechanisms and provide early diagnoses.This technique integrates multimodal imaging phenotypes with genetic data in a noninvasive and high-throughput manner.In this review,we summarize the basic analytical framework of brain imaging biomarker genomics and elucidate two main implementation scenarios of this technique in AD studies:(1)exploring novel biomarkers and seeking mutual interpretability and(2)providing a diagnosis and prognosis for AD with combined use of machine learning methods and brain imaging biomarker genomics.Importantly,we highlight the necessity of brain imaging biomarker genomics,discuss the strengths and limitations of current methods,and propose directions for development of this research field.

Effect of temperature and stress on high temperature creep behavior of Ni3Al-based single crystal superalloy

The creep behavior and dislocations mechanism of the Ni3Al-based single crystal alloy IC6 SX with [001] orientation were investigated under the testing conditions of 1100℃/137 MPa,1100℃/120 MPa and 1070℃/137 MPa.It was observed that the temperature and stress had a significant effect on the high temperature creep life of the single crystal alloy.As the temperature was reduced from 1100℃ to 1070 ℃,the creep life increased from65.07 h to 313.8 h.As the stress was reduced to 120 MPa,the creep life increased to 243.3 h.Under the high temperature and low stress condition the dislocations entered the γ’ phase by climbing caused by the atomic diffusion,instead of slipping.
