Recovering high-quality inscription images from unknown and complex inscription noisy images is a challenging research *** fromnatural images,character images pay more attention to stroke ***,existingmodelsmainly consider pixel-level informationwhile ignoring structural information of the character,such as its edge and glyph,resulting in reconstructed images with mottled local structure and character *** solve these problems,we propose a novel generative adversarial network(GAN)framework based on an edge-guided generator and a discriminator constructed by a dual-domain U-Net framework,i.e.,*** existing frameworks,the generator introduces the edge extractionmodule,guiding it into the denoising process through the attention mechanism,which maintains the edge detail of the restored inscription ***,a dual-domain U-Net-based discriminator is proposed to learn the global and local discrepancy between the denoised and the label images in both image and morphological domains,which is helpful to blind denoising *** proposed dual-domain discriminator and generator for adversarial training can reduce local artifacts and keep the denoised character structure *** to the lack of a real-inscription image,we built the real-inscription dataset to provide an effective benchmark for studying inscription image *** experimental results show the superiority of our method both in the synthetic and real-inscription datasets.

efficacy and safety of electroacupuncture for insomnia:A systematic review and meta-analysis

Cancer cell spheroids(CCS) are a valuable three-dimensional cell model in cancer studies because they could replicate numerous characteristics of solid tumors. Increasing researches have used matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry imaging(MALdI-MSI) to investigate the spatial distribution of endogenous compounds(e.g., lipids) in CCS. However, only limited lipid species can be detected owing to a low ion yield by using MALdI. Besides, it is still challenging to fully characterize the structural diversity of lipids due to the existence of isomeric/isobaric species. Here, we carried out the initial application of MALdI coupled with laser-postionization(MALdI-2) and trapped ion mobility spectrometry(TIMS) imaging in HCT116 colon CCS to address these challenges. We demonstrated that MALdI-2 is capable of detecting more number and classes of lipids in HCT116 colon CCS with higher signal intensities than MALdI. TIMS could successfully separate numerous isobaric/isomeric species of lipids in CCS. Interestingly, we found that some isomeric/isobaric species have totally different spatial distributions in colon CCS. Further MS/MS imaging analysis was employed to determine the compositions of fatty acid chains for isomeric species by examining disparities in signal intensities and spatial distributions of product ions. This work stresses the robust ability of TIMS and MALdI-2 imaging in analyzing endogenous lipids in CCS, which could potentially become powerful tools for future cancer studies.

To the editor:Assessment of data appropriateness is a process to answer whether electronic health records(eHRs)from routine healthcare practices couldt intended study purposes,for example,available to be proceeded,with enough individual records,with relevant information able to be extracted from records,etc.[1-3]This has been increasingly underscored as a prerequisite when using eHRs(one important type of real-world data[RWd])for scientic purposes.[4-6]Although controversies remain on the denitions,types and assessment methods of the dimensions of RWd appropriateness,the latest ofcial guid.lines(i.e.,from the *** and drug Administration[FdA][4]and China National Medical Products Administration[NMPA][6])suggest that the assessment start from a preliminary stage on variable existence,and subsequently deepen into the issue of data value(such as missing value,outliers,etc.),as the preliminary assessment is the foundation of the overall RWd appropriateness.[7]Little is known about the appropriateness of eHRs in developing regions,which feature high visit volumes and a great number of ***,this study aimed to preliminarily investigate RWd appropriateness from hospitals in developing regions from the perspective of core variables’comparison.

Kinetic-boosted CO_(2) electroreduction to formate via synergistic electric-thermal field on hierarchical bismuth with amorphous layer

CRISPR/Cas9-mediated NlinR2 mutants:Analyses of residual mRNA and truncated proteins

CRISPR/Cas9 technology is a powerful genome manipulation tool in ***,little is known about whether mRNA and protein of a target gene are completely cleared in homozygous *** study generated homozygous mutants of the insulin receptor gene 2(NlinR2)in the brown planthopper(Nilaparvata lugens)using CRISPR/Cas9 genome *** frameshift mutants,e5_d17 and e6_I7,differentiated towards long wings,but there were differences in wing morphology,with e5_d17 showing wing *** investigations revealed the presence of residual expression of NlinR2 mRNA in both mutants,as well as the occurrence of spliceosomes featuring exon skipping splicing in e5_***,the e5_d17 exhibited the detection of N-terminally truncated NlinR2 *** interference experiments indicated that the knockdown of NlinR2 expression in the e5_d17 mutant line increased the proportion of wing deformities from 11.1 to 65.6%,suggesting that the residual NlinR2 mRNA of the e5_d17 mutant might have retained some genetic *** results imply that systematic characterization of residual protein expression or function in CRISPR/Cas9-generated mutant lines is necessary for phenotypic interpretation.
