Advances in intelligent shield machines reflect an evolving trend from traditional tunnel boring machines(TBMs)to tunnel boring robots(TBRs).This shift aims to address the challenges encountered by the conventional shield machine industry arising from construction environment and manual operations.This study presents a systematic review of intelligent shield machine technology,with a particular emphasis on its smart operation.Firstly,the definition,meaning,contents,and development modes of intelligent shield machines are proposed.The development status of the intelligent shield machine and its smart operation are then presented.After analyzing the operation process of the shield machine,an autonomous operation framework considering both stand-alone and fleet levels is proposed.Challenges and recommendations are given for achieving autonomous operation.This study offers insights into the essence and developmental framework of intelligent shield machines to propel the advancement of this technology.

Excessive and uncontrollable inflammatory responses in alveoli can dramatically exacerbate pulmonary disease progressions through vigorous cytokine releases,immune cell infiltration and protease-driven tissue damages.It is an urgent need to explore potential drug strategies for mitigating lung inflammation.Protease-activated receptor 2(PAR2)as a vital molecular target principally participates in various inflammatory diseases via intracellular signal transduction.However,it has been rarely reported about the role of PAR2 in lung inflammation.This study applied CRISPR-Cas9 system encoding Cas9 and sg RNA(p Cas9-PAR2)for PAR2 knockout and fabricated an anionic human serum albuminbased nanoparticles to deliver p Cas9-PAR2 with superior inflammation-targeting efficiency and stability(TAP/p Cas9-PAR2).TAP/p Cas9-PAR2 robustly facilitated p Cas9-PAR2 to enter and transfect inflammatory cells,eliciting precise gene editing of PAR2 in vitro and in vivo.Importantly,PAR2 deficiency by TAP/p Cas9-PAR2 effectively and safely promoted macrophage polarization,suppressed proinflammatory cytokine releases and alleviated acute lung inflammation,uncovering a novel value of PAR2.It also revealed that PAR2-mediated pulmonary inflammation prevented by TAP/p Cas9-PAR2was mainly dependent on ERK-mediated NLRP3/IL-1β and NO/i NOS signalling.Therefore,this work indicated PAR2 as a novel target for lung inflammation and provided a potential nanodrug strategy for PAR2 deficiency in treating inflammatory diseases.

E-commerce platform financing is a new service pattern of supply chain finance.However,this pattern may bring some new issues when considering the problem of cash flow shortage and financing difficulties of small and medium-sized enterprises.When enterprises use this service,they worry about the leakage of preferential wholesale price when applying the full loan amount and providing the true transaction information.Based on the model consisting of a supplier,a retailer and a cross-border e-commerce platform,the authors design a price masking strategy to prevent the retailer’s preferential wholesale price information from leakage.The authors analyze the profit of the retailer and the platform before and after adopting the price masking strategy.The authors find that the price masking strategy always benefits the retailer.Besides,the optimal profit of the retailer and the platform are both affected by the loan interest rate.Moreover,there exists a range of loan interest rates that can benefit both the retailer and the platform if the price masking strategy is adopted.The research emphasizes that platform can expand the total business volume by allowing retailers to use price masking strategy.In other words,there will be more and more retailers attracted by the strategy,which benefits the long-term growth of cross-border e-commerce platform financing.

In April 2017,the first edition Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology Breast Cancer(CSCO BC)guidelines were released.These guidelines were based on medical evidence,as well as the accessibility and cost effectiveness of various anticancer drugs in China.The CSCO BC guidelines include regimens with a high level of evidence,good product accessibility and high consistent consensus among Chinese experts as level I recommendations.Regimens with a high level of evidence but poor product accessibility or expert consensus are included as level II recommendations.

Optimal Sales Promotion in a Supply Chain Using Consignment Contract under Stochastic Demand

Sales promotion is getting more and more prosperous in Chinese cross-border e-commerce platforms where the demand is uncertain.However,most existing literature on promotion strategies is focusing on deterministic demand.In this paper,we propose a game-theoretical model under multiplicative stochastic demand to investigate the pricing,inventory quantity and sales promotion strategies for a supply chain which is consisted of one cross-border distributor and one capital-constrained retailer under a consignment contract.We obtain the equilibrium outcomes under stochastic demand,and find that the optimal price and promotion investment depend on demand uncertainty under endogenous inventory decisions.With exogenous unlimited inventory,the retailer prefers owing promotion right when the elasticity of price and promotion is small enough and its capital is sufficient,while the distributor always prefers to control sales promotion.With endogenous inventory quantity,the sensitivity of demand to price is influence by the demand uncertainty.The retailer prefers to decide the promotion when the price-elasticity is small,while the distributor prefers to decide the promotion under large promotion-elasticity.And the intensity of optimal sales promotion made by retailers may be stronger than that when the distributor owns the promotion right,which depends on the elasticity of price and promotion.More importantly,it is always better for consumers when the distributor reserves the promotion right as a lower optimal retailing price is offered.

Infant call structure should have evolved to elicit maximum maternal attention and investment.Neonates of giant pandas produce three types of vocalizations reported to be vitally important in the context of mother–infant communications.However,how cubs,0–15 days old,communicate with their mothers to elicit maternal care remains unknown.We analyzed 12 different call parameters of 3475 squawks,1355 squalls,and 491 croaks from 11 captive giant panda(Ailuropoda melanoleuca)neonates from age 0 to 15 days.In playback experiments,we also tested whether mothers could detect ultrasound.Our results show that neonates use broadband calls with ultrasonic frequencies up to 65 kHz to convey information about their physiological needs and to attract maternal care.In playback experiments,we tested if mothers reacted differently to broadband calls(BBC)than to artificially altered calls that included only frequencies20 kHz(USC).Playback confirmed that,although adult females responded significantly less often to USC,BBC than to or AUDC,they could detect USC,BBC and generally made appropriate behavioral responses,indicating a potential benefit for neonates to utilize ultrasonic and broadband frequencies.Our findings provide a new insight into mother–infant communication in giant pandas and will be helpful for reducing the mortality of cubs,younger than 1 month old,in captivity.

Sperm is essential for successful artificial insemination in dairy cattle,and its quality can be influenced by both epi-genetic modification and epigenetic inheritance.The bovine germline differentiation is characterized by epigenetic reprogramming,while intergenerational and transgenerational epigenetic inheritance can influence the offspring’s development through the transmission of epigenetic features to the offspring via the germline.Therefore,the selec-tion of bulls with superior sperm quality for the production and fertility traits requires a better understanding of the epigenetic mechanism and more accurate identifications of epigenetic biomarkers.We have comprehensively reviewed the current progress in the studies of bovine sperm epigenome in terms of both resources and biological discovery in order to provide perspectives on how to harness this valuable information for genetic improvement in the cattle breeding industry.

Background:Endocrine therapy(ET)and ET-based regimens are the preferred first-line treatment options for hormone receptor(HR)-positive and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-negative metastatic breast cancer(HR+/HER2-MBC),while chemotherapy(CT)is commonly used in clinical practice.The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy and clinical outcome of ET and CT as first-line treatment in Chinese patients with HR+/HER2-MBC.Methods:Patients diagnosed with HR+/HER2-MBC between January 1st,1996 and September 30th,2018 were screened from the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology Breast Cancer database.The initial and maintenance first-line treatment,progression-free survival(PFS),and overall survival(OS)were analyzed.Results:Among the 1877 included patients,1215(64.7%)received CT and 662(35.3%)received ET as initial first-line treatment.There were no statistically significant differences in PFS and OS between patients receiving ET and CT as initial first-line treatment in the total population(PFS:12.0 vs.11.0 months,P=0.22;OS:54.0 vs.49.0 months,P=0.09)and propensity score matched population.For patients without disease progression after at least 3 months of initial therapy,maintenance ET following initial CT(CT-ET cohort,n=449)and continuous schedule of ET(ET cohort,n=527)had longer PFS than continuous schedule of CT(CT cohort,n=406)in the total population(CT-ET cohort vs.CT cohort:17.0 vs.8.5 months;Plinical outcome to CT as initial first-line treatment.For patients without disease progression after initial CT,switching to maintenance ET showed superiority in clinical outcome over continuous schedule of CT.

自上世纪50年代以来,中国企业开始研究隧道掘进机技术,经历了自主探索、技术引进和自主创新的历程。如今,中国已经具备了设计、制造多种类型隧道掘进机的技术创新能力。中国企业成功研制出了混合模式掘进机、异形断面掘进机、联络通道掘进机、竖井掘进机、斜井掘进机等多种新设备。中国的隧道掘进机技术水平总体上达到国际先进水平,并在新型破岩技术研究和新机型研发方面引领了行业的发展。未来,隧道掘进机技术的发展可以从“三个层次、一个提升”的角度进行探讨,包括在现有掘进机技术框架下,通过完善设备功能和提升性能来提高技术水平;突破破岩技术,并创新地下支护结构,推动新型隧道掘进机的发展;随着隧道理念的变化,推动隧道掘进技术的进步。同时,隧道智能化建设也需要得到提升,以提高施工效率和安全性。
