Effect of Strengthening Phase on Deformation Behaviour during Uniaxial Tension of Hot-rolled Dual Phase Steel

Two kinds of C-Si-Mn-Cr series tested steels were designed to obtain dual phase microstructures of ferrite （F）＋martcnsite （M） or ferrite （F）-bainite （B） with different mechanical properties. Effects of strengthening phase on yielding and fracture behaviours during uniaxial tension of dual phase steel were discussed. Compared with hot-rolled martensite dual phase steel, ferrite-bainite dual phase steel has high ratio of yield strength to tensile strength （YS/TS） and low elongation. During necking process of uniaxial tension, microvoids of ferrite-martensite steel are generated by fracture of ferrite/martensite boundary or martensite islands with irregular shape. But ferrite matrix elongated remarkably along deformation direction, and strengthening phase also coordinated with ferrite matrix. Compatible de formation between ferrite and bainite is distinct. Ferrite-bainite dual phase steel has fine and less microvoid, and phase boundary of ferrite and bainite is beneficial for restraining generation and extending of microvoid.

Nitrogen interception in floodwater of rice field in Taihu region of China

A field experiment located in Taihu Lake Basin of China was conducted, by application of urea or a mixture of urea with manure, to elucidate the interception of nitrogen （N） export in a typical rice field through ＂zero-drainage water management＂ combined with sound irrigation, rainfall forecasting and field drying. N concentrations in floodwater rapidly declined before the first event of field drying after three split fertilizations, and subsequently tended to rearm to the background level. Before the first field drying, total particulate nitrogen （TPN） was the predominant N form in floodwater of plots with no N input, dissolved inorganic nitrogen （DIN） on plots that received urea only, and dissolved organic nitrogen （DON） on plots treated with the mixture of urea and manure. Thereafter TPN became the major form. No N export was found from the rice field, but total nitrogen （TN） of 15.8 kg/hm^2 was remained, mainly due to soil N sorption. The results recommended the zero-drainage water management for full-scale areas for minimizing N export.

Deep oil and gas reservoirs are under high-temperature conditions, but traditional coring methods do not consider temperature-preserved measures and ignore the influence of temperature on rock porosity and permeability, resulting in distorted resource assessments. The development of in situ temperaturepreserved coring(ITP-Coring) technology for deep reservoir rock is urgent, and thermal insulation materials are key. Therefore, hollow glass microsphere/epoxy resin thermal insulation materials(HGM/EP materials) were proposed as thermal insulation materials. The materials properties under coupled hightemperature and high-pressure(HTHP) conditions were tested. The results indicated that high pressures led to HGM destruction and that the materials water absorption significantly increased; additionally,increasing temperature accelerated the process. High temperatures directly caused the thermal conductivity of the materials to increase; additionally, the thermal conduction and convection of water caused by high pressures led to an exponential increase in the thermal conductivity. High temperatures weakened the matrix, and high pressures destroyed the HGM, which resulted in a decrease in the tensile mechanical properties of the materials. The materials entered the high elastic state at 150.C, and the mechanical properties were weakened more obviously, while the pressure led to a significant effect when the water absorption was above 10%. Meanwhile, the tensile strength/strain were 13.62 MPa/1.3%and 6.09 MPa/0.86% at 100.C and 100 MPa, respectively, which meet the application requirements of the self-designed coring device. Finally, K46-f40 and K46-f50 HGM/EP materials were proven to be suitable for ITP-Coring under coupled conditions below 100.C and 100 MPa. Capacitive mixing is a promising blue energy technology due to its membrane-free electricity generation and long electrode life ***,because of limited performance,existing systems do not lend themselves to practical *** it is a crucial factor directly influencing electrode behavior,surface chemistry has largely been overlooked in capacitive ***,we show that manipulating surface functionalization alone can tune the responses of electrodes to produce a high voltage rise without altering the pore structure of the *** findings reveal that the spontaneous electrode potential of a surface-modified carbon electrode shifts negatively proportional to the surface charge due to the surface groups,which explains why and how manipulating the surface chemistry can improve the power generation capacity.

Dear Editor,Fascin actin-bundling protein 1(Fascin,gene name:FSCN1)is the primary actin-bundling protein that clusters filaments into stable and bundled filopodia[1].In previous studies,elevated levels of Fascin promoted filopodia formation and enhanced the invasive ability of tumor cells,suggesting that Fascin is a target for therapeutic intervention[2,3].Therefore,it is necessary to elucidate the detailed molecular mechanism by which Fascin bundles F-actin filaments.

We analyze the frequencies of three known roAp stars,TIC 96315731,TIC 72392575,and TIC 318007796,using the light curves from the Transiting Exoplanet Survey *** TIC 96315731,the rotational and pulsational frequencies are 0.1498360 day^(-1)and 165.2609 day^(-1),*** the case of TIC 72392575,the rotational frequency is 0.25551 day^(-1).We detect a quintuplet of pulsation frequencies with a center frequency of135.9233 day^(-1),along with two signals within the second pair of rotational sidelobes of the quintuplet separated by the rotation *** two signals may correspond to the frequencies of a dipole *** TIC318007796,the rotational and pulsational frequencies are 0.2475021 day^(-1),192.73995 day^(-1),and196.33065 day^(-1),*** on the oblique pulsator model,we calculate the rotation inclination(i)and magnetic obliquity angle(b)for the stars,which provide the geometry of the pulsation *** the phases of the frequency quintuplets,the pulsation amplitude and phase modulation curves,and the results of spherical harmonic decomposition,we conclude that the pulsation modes of frequency quintuplets in TIC96315731,TIC 72392575,and TIC 318007796 correspond to distorted dipole mode,distorted quadrupole mode,and distorted dipole mode,respectively.

The westward migration of tropical cyclone(TC)activity has been identified in the western North Pacific(WNP),but the related features and causes remain ***,based on the best track data from China,Japan,and the US,and the NCEP–NCAR reanalysis data in 1982–2020,we investigate characteristics of the westward migration of the WNP TC activity with various metrics,and reveal possible causes for the migration of TC tracks through analyzing its seasonality and dependence on environmental *** results show that the WNP TCs show significant westward migrations in a number of metrics,including location of tracks,genesis,the first track point at which TC reaches its lifetime-maximum intensity,and the last track point in the TC *** is found that TC tracks exhibit more significant westward migrations in the easterly steering flow than in the westerly steering ***,the TC longitude shift shows notable seasonal variations,for which the TCs in the easterlies move further west than those in the westerlies during July–September,vice versa during October–*** dependence of the westward migration of TC tracks on background steering flow is associated with the different environmental *** westward shift in the westerly steering is mainly due to the reduced vertical wind shear(VWS),while the weakened zonal easterly steering and reduced VWS are both closely related to the westward migration in the easterly *** results have important implications for understanding current and future variations in TC longitude shift.
