Difference in microstructural characteristics of stamp-charged coke and gravity-charged coke with approximate macroscopic performance

The microstructural characteristics including optical texture,porosity and pore structure and chemical structure of stamp-charged coke(SCC)and gravity-charged coke(GCC)with similar conventional macro-indicators were investigated,and the properties including micro-strength,reactivity of coke matrix and that after alkali enrichment were comparatively studied by various characterization *** anisotropic structure of SCC is composed of high content of fine mosaic texture,while the content of medium mosaic texture,coarse texture and fibrous texture is *** statistical average shows that the fine mosaic average of SCC(24.89%)is 3.78 times the GCC average(6.58%),and the coarse mosaic average(1.24%)is only about 1/3 of the GCC average(3.43%).The porosity of SCC is lower than that of GCC,but tamping process does not lead to the fact that the number of closed pores of SCC is significantly lower than that of *** the structure of SCC is compact,its pore number is large and the pore wall is *** of coke with diameter less than 150 nm seem unaffected by tamping *** aromatic structure of SCC was less ordered than that of GCC,which was speculated to be related to the addition of more low metamorphic coal in *** microscopic strength and structural strength of SCC are lower than those of *** reactivity of coke matrix is affected by the specific surface area,but it is not the determining factor of its *** improvement in dissolution reactivity of coke after potassium enrichment is independent of coke type.

Mauritanian iron ore powder(OM)has advantages of high iron grade,low aluminum content,and low loss on ignition,which can be used as a new mineral to replace low alumina limonite that has been exhausted in ***,it will have a certain negative impact on sintering because of its high SiO_(2) *** mechanism of SiO_(2) content affecting the sintering behavior was first studied through FactSage ***,the liquid fluidity,penetration,and high-temperature performance of different iron ore powders were ***,the optimization of ore blending structure was studied by the micro-sintering method and the sinter pot *** results show that the increase in SiO_(2) content can reduce the assimilation *** low penetration of OM can lead to an increase in the amount of liquid,and the high SiO_(2) content of OM increases the viscosity of the liquid *** is more,the increase in SiO_(2) also increases the formation of silicate and fayalite phase and inhibits the formation of silico-ferrite of calcium and aluminum(SFCA).To optimize ore blending structure,OM and the low SiO_(2) powder OD from Australia were used together,which improves the content of SFCA by 2.04%and decreases the contents of calcium silicate and fayalite by 0.63%and 4.99%,*** results of the sinter pot test indicated that the properties of sinter have been improved.

In this study, the surface chemical functional groups of Bacillus cereus biomass were identified by Fourier transform infrared （FTIR） analytical technique. It had been shown that the B. cereus cells mainly contained carboxyl, hydroxyl, phosphate, amino and amide functional groups. The potentiometric titration was conducted to explain the surface acid-base properties of aqueous B. cereus biomass. The computer program FITEQL 4.0 was used to perform the model calculations. The optimization results indicated that three sitesthree pKas model, which assumed the cell surface to have three distinct types of surface organic functional groups based on the IR analysis results, simulated the experimental results very well. Moreover, batch adsorption experiments were performed to investigate biosorption behavior of Cu（Ⅱ） and Pb（Ⅱ） ions onto the biomass. Obviously, the adsorption equilibrium data for the two ions were reasonably described by typical Langmuir isotherm.

Study on spillover effect of copper futures between LME and SHFE using wavelet multiresolution analysis

Research on information spillover effects between financial markets remains active in the economic community. A Granger-type model has recently been used to investigate the spillover between London Metal Exchange(LME) and Shanghai Futures Exchange(SHFE) ,however,possible correlation between the future price and return on different time scales have been ignored. In this paper,wavelet multiresolution decomposition is used to investigate the spillover effects of copper future returns between the two markets. The daily return time series are decomposed on 2n(n=1,…,6) frequency bands through wavelet mul-tiresolution analysis. The correlation between the two markets is studied with decomposed data. It is shown that high frequency detail components represent much more energy than low-frequency smooth components. The relation between copper future daily returns in LME and that in SHFE are different on different time scales. The fluctuations of the copper future daily returns in LME have large effect on that in SHFE in 32-day scale,but small effect in high frequency scales. It also has evidence that strong effects exist between LME and SHFE for monthly responses of the copper futures but not for daily responses.

In order to check the general existence of broadening of slab and the reasons of formation,the broadening of slab was investigated on the basis of several industrial manufactures of continuous *** results show that slab broadening commonly exists in the process of continuous *** causes of broadening were ruled out of the consideration of the change of mold size or the change of technical *** results reveal that the broadening of slab probably results from the static pressure of molten steel and the force from driving *** the same time,online observations of three grades of steel in the process of continuous casting reveal that the ratio of ultimate broadening of slab ranges from 1.27% to 3.00%,and even arrives at 4.4%.

AIM： To determine whether the number of non-rejoining G2-chromatid breaks can predict the radiosensitivity of human cell lines. METHODS： Cell lines of human ovary carcinoma cells （HO8910）, human hepatoma cells （HepG2） and liver cells （L02） were irradiated with a range of doses and assessed both of cell survival and non-rejoining G2-chromatid breaks at 24 h after irradiation. Cell survival was documented by a colony assay. Non-rejoining G2-chromatid breaks were measured by counting the number of non-rejoining G2 chromatid breaks at 24 h after irradiation, detected by the prematurely chromosome condensed （PCC） technique. RESULTS： A linear-quadratic survival curve was observed in three cell lines, and HepG2 was the most sensitive to γ-radiaUon. A dose-dependent linear increase was observed in radiation-induced non-rejoining G2- PCC breaks measured at 24 h after irradiation in all cell lines, and HepG2 was the most susceptible to induction of non-rejoining G2-PCC breaks. A close correlation was found between the clonogenic radiosensitivity and the radiation-induced non-rejoining G2-PCC breaks （r=0.923）. Furthermore, survival-aberration correlations for two or more than two doses lever were also significant. CONCLUSION： The number of non-rejoining G2 PCC breaks holds considerable promise for predicting the radiosensitMty of normal and tumor cells when two or more than two doses lever is tested.

Nonionic surfactant alkyl polyglucoside （APG） was prepared by direct glycosidation of alkyl alcohol with glucose in the presence of sulfate acid-silica gel （H2SO4/SiO2） as solid acidic catalyst. The quantity of catalyst was only of 1 wt%, based on the glucose, and the conversion of glucose was close to 100% at 110 ℃ in 1.5 h. The product was characterized by FT-IR, mass and ^1H NMR spectra. The degree of polymerization （DP） of the glucose in the product was 1.37, and critical micelle concentration （CMC） of product was only 0.0104 wt%.

Citrin deficiency presenting as acute liver failure in an eight-month-old infant

Citrin deficiency typically presents as neonatal intrahepatic cholestasis and resolves in late *** we report a case of citrin deficiency that presented as acute liver failure in late infancy in an apparently healthy child. The full-term male infant weighed3400 g at birth, and exhibited normal development for eight months, at which time he contracted bronchial pneumonia. The infant developed jaundice and laboratory tests indicated elevated bilirubin and ammonia levels and an abnormal coagulation *** amino acid analysis showed elevated levels of tyrosine, methionine, citrulline, and arginine. Citrin deficiency was suspected, and genomic DNA analysis revealed a mutation(IVS16ins3kb) in SLC25A13, which encodes a mitochondrial aspartate-glutamate carrier protein. The infant was immediately put on a lactosefree,medium-chain-triglyceride-enriched formula with ursodeoxycholic acid and lipid-soluble ***, cholestasis and abnormal laboratory indices persisted, and the infant died at the age of 11.5 mo,two days before a scheduled liver transplantation. This case demonstrates that citrin deficiency can present in late infancy as acute liver failure triggered by infection,and may require liver transplantation.
