A rhodamine-based sensor has been developed for the detection of mercuric ions. The colorimetric and fluorescence responses, allowing naked-eye detections, are based on Hg^2＋-induced opening of the rhodamine spirocycle. Among all the testes ions, only Hg^2＋generated a significant fluorescence enhancement of up to 300-fold, with a bright yellow–green emission. This sensor was a low toxic compound, and was successfully applied in the in vivo imaging of Hg^2＋in Spill 2 cells and C. elegans. This approach provides a sensitive and accurate method for the estimation of Hg^2＋in environmental, tobacco and biological applications.

硝酸盐氮与亚硝酸盐氮是海洋水质监测的重点参数,也是研究海洋氮循环的重要参考。紫外吸收光谱法操作简单,响应快速,适用于多种水质参数监测,但测量中硝酸盐氮与亚硝酸盐氮存在混叠干扰以及海水离子干扰。提出了一种硝酸盐氮与亚硝酸盐氮快速测量方法,对光谱进行一阶差分等预处理,使用相关系数搜索进行波段优化,使用BP神经网络进行浓度反演,模型的预测值与真实值线性相关系数为0.998。与国外同类设备进行了比对测试,两者线性相关系数为0.982。参加了烟台市海洋环境监测预报中心2023年夏季航次,进行了应用测试,与实验室方法进行了比对分析,两者线性相关系数为0.902,说明本方法能够实现海水硝酸盐氮与亚硝酸盐氮的快速测量,为后续原位监测仪器的研制提供参考。

Bacterial quorum sensing （QS） has attracted much interests and it is an important process of cell communication. Recently, Bassler et al. studied the phenomena of QS regulated by small RNAs and the experimental data showed that smafl RNAs played important role in the QS of Vibrio harveyi and it can permit the fine-tuning of gene regulation and mmntenance of homeostasis. According to Michaelis-Menten kinetics and mass action law in this paper, we construct a mathematical model to investigate the mechanism induced QS by coexist of small RNA and signal molecular （AI） and show that there are periodic oscillation when the time delay and Hill coefficient exceed a critical value and the periodic oscillation produces the change of concentration and induces QS. These results are fit to the experimental results. In the meanwhile, we also get some theoretical value of Hopf Bifurcation on time deday. In addition, we also find this network is robust against noise.

Generalized Fibonacci cube Qd（f）, introduced by Ilid, Klavzar and Rho, is the graph obtained from the hypercube Qd by removing all vertices that contain f as factor. A word f is good if Qd（f） is an isometric subgraph of Q4 for all d ≥ 1, and bad otherwise. A non-extendable sequence of contiguous equal digits in a word μ is called a block of μ.Ilic, Klavzar and Rho shown that all the words consisting of one block are good, and all the words consisting of three blocks are bad. So a natural problem is to study the words consisting of other odd number of blocks. In the present paper, a necessary condition for a word consisting of odd number of blocks being good is given, and all the good （bad） words consisting of 5 blocks is determined.

This paper presents a meta-analysis regarding the detection rate(DR)of fluorine-18(^(18)F)-labeled prostate-specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography/computed tomography(PSMA PET/CT)in the management of patients with prostate cancer(PCa).Relevant studies regarding ^(18)F-PSMA PET/CT in the management of PCa published until June 1,2021,were electronically searched in online databases including EMBASE,PubMed,and Web of *** primary outcome was the DR of ^(18)F-PSMA PET/CT in managing PCa patients,while the secondary outcome was the DR of ^(18)F-PSMA PET/CT according to Gleason scores and serum prostate-specific antigen(PSA)*** pooled DR was calculated on a per-patient basis,with pooled odd ratios and 95%confidence intervals(CIs).In total,17 observational studies evaluating 1019 patients with PCa met the inclusion *** DR of ^(18)F-PSMA PET/CT was 0.83(95%CI:0.78-0.88),in the random-effects ***,the analysis of DR of ^(18)F-PSMA PET/CT in PCa patients using Gleason score(≤7 vs≥8),showed a significant difference in PCa *** on the above results,the higher Gleason score of PCa patients,the higher DR of ^(18)F-PSMA PET/*** DR of ^(18)F-PSMA PET/CT in PCa was 0.57 for PSA<0.5 ng ml^(-1);0.75 for PSA≥0.5 ng ml^(-1) and<1.0 ng ml^(-1);0.93 for PSA≥1.0 ng ml^(-1) and<2.0 ng ml^(-1);and 0.95 for PSA≥2.0 ng ml^(-1).Therefore,the significant diagnostic value was found in terms of the DR of ^(18)F-PSMA PET/CT in managing PCa patients and was associated with Gleason score and serum PSA level.

Regional Differences and Characteristics of Soil Organic Carbon Density Between Dry Land and Paddy Field in China

Study on the regional characteristics of soil organic carbon （SOC） density in farmland will not only contribute greatly to the technique of soil productivity enhancement, but also give evidences of technique selection and policy making for carbon sequestration in soils. Based on the second national soil survey of China, the situation of SOC density in the plow layer of farmland was analyzed under different land use patterns. Results showed that SOC density in the plow layer was about 3.15 kg m^-2 in average ranging from 0.81 to 12.68 kg m^-2. The highest density was found in the southeastern region with an average of 3.63 kg ma, while the lowest occurring in the northwestern region with an average of 3.00 kg m^-2. The variation coefficient of SOC density in the plow layer of farmland was 57%, which was 35% lower than that of non-farmland soils. Compared to SOC density in the dry land, SOC density in paddy soils was 13% higher with a lower variation coefficient between different regions. In addition, the relationships between the climatic factors （annual average temperature and precipitation） and SOC density were lower in farmland than those in non-farmland soils, as well as lower in paddy soils than those in dry land of farmland. These results suggest that anthropogenic disturbances have great impacts on SOC density in farmland soils, especially in paddy soils, indicating that Chinese rice cropping may contribute greatly to the SOC stability and sequestration in paddy field.

DETERMINATION OF ROCK-BREAKING PERFORMANCE OF HIGH-PRESSURE SUPERCRITICAL CARBON DIOXIDE JET

In this study, a well-designed experimental setup is used to determine the rock-breaking performance of a high-pressure supercritical carbon dioxide （SC-CO2） jet. Its rock-breaking performance is first compared with that of a high-pressure water jet under the same operation conditions. The effects of five major factors that affect the rock-breaking performance of the high-pressure SC-CO2 jet, i.e., the nozzle diameter, the standoff distance, the jet pressure, the rock compressive strength and the jet temperature are experimentally determined. The experimental results indicate that the rock-breaking performance of the SC-CO2 jet is significantly improved over the high-pressure water jet. It is also found that the rock-breaking performance of the SC-CO2 jet is improved with the increase of the nozzle diameter or the standoff distance, until the nozzle diameter or the standoff distance reaches a certain critical value and after that it begins to deteriorate. The rock-breaking performance of the SC-CO2 jet improves monotonically with the increase of the jet pressure, while it shows a monotonic deterioration with the increase of the rock compressive strength. In addition, it is found that, under the same working conditions, the SC-CO2 jet can always provide a better rock-breaking performance than the subcritical liquid CO2 jet.

目的比较二尖瓣成形与置换术治疗功能性二尖瓣反流(functional mitral regurgitation,FMR)的中远期临床疗效。方法选取2012—2021年在北部战区总医院心血管外科行手术治疗的FMR患者为研究对象。根据手术方式将患者分为二尖瓣成形术组(MVP组)和二尖瓣置换术组(MVR组)。比较两组患者的临床资料和中远期随访疗效。结果纳入236例患者。MVP组100例,其中男53例、女47例,平均年龄(61.80±8.03)岁。MVR组136例,其中男72例、女64例,平均年龄(61.29±8.97)岁。两组患者基线资料差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。两组体外循环时间、主动脉阻断时间、术后住院时间、监护室停留时间、术中失血量和住院死亡率等差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05),但MVP组术后机械通气时间较MVR组明显缩短,差异有统计学意义(P=0.022)。总随访率100.0%,最长随访10年,平均随访时间(3.60±2.55)年。两组患者随访时左心房内径、左心室舒张末期内径、左心室收缩末期内径和心功能等级与术前差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05)。MVP组的左心室射血分数较术前显著提高(P=0.002),MVR组的左心室射血分数较术前差异无统计学意义(P=0.658)。术后MVP组的左心房内径较MVR组缩小,差异有统计学意义(P=0.026)。MVP组二尖瓣反流复发率高于MVR组,差异有统计学意义(10.0%vs. 1.5%,P=0.003)。MVP组累计死亡14例,MVR组累计死亡19例。Kaplan-Meier生存分析显示,两组患者累计生存率(P=0.605)与免于心脑血管事件的生存率(P=0.875)差异均无统计学意义。结论二尖瓣成形术治疗FMR安全性及中远期临床疗效优于二尖瓣置换术,左心房、左心室内径显著减小,心功能明显改善。但是术者需要严格掌握二尖瓣成形术的适应证以降低二尖瓣反流复发率。

Overexpression of p42.3 promotes cell growth and tumorigenicity in hepatocellular carcinoma

AIM:To investigate the association of p42.3 expression with clinicopathological characteristics and the biological function of p42.3 in human hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).METHODS:We used reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR),quantitative real-time RT-PCR and western blotting to detect p42.3 mRNA and protein expression in hepatic cell *** examined primary HCC samples and matched adjacent normal tissue by immunohistochemistry to investigate the correlation between p42.3 expression and clinicopathological ***2 cells were transfected with a pIRES2EGFP-p42.3 expression vector to examine the function of the p42.3 *** cells were analyzed for their viability and malignant transformation abilities by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay,colony formation assay,and tumorigenicity assay in nude ***:p42.3 is differentially expressed in primary HCC tumors and cell *** 69.6%(96/138) of cells were p42.3-positive in hepatic tumor tissues,while 30.7%(35/114) were p42.3-positive in tumor-adjacent normal *** characteristics of the HCC specimens revealed a significant correlation between p42.3 expression and tumor differentiation(P = 0.031).However,p42.3 positivity was not related to tumor tumor-node-metastasis classification,hepatitis B virus status,or hepatoma *** p42.3 overexpression in stably transfected HepG2 cells,we discovered significant enhancement of cancer cell growth and colony formation in vitro,and significantly enhanced tumorigenicity in nude *** blot analysis of cell cycle proteins revealed that enhanced p42.3 levels promote upregulation of proliferating cell nuclear antigen,cyclin B1 and mitotic arrest deficient ***:p42.3 promotes tumorigenicity and tumor growth in HCC and may be a potential target for future clinical cancer therapeutics.
