A new Fe-based amorphous–crystalline composite without non-metallic elements, Fe_(55)Cr_(15)Mo_(15)Ni_(10)W_(5), was prepared by melt-spinning. The formation ability and structure information were investigated by X-ray diffractometer(XRD), energy-dispersive spectrometer(EDS) and scanning electron microscope(SEM). The mechanical properties of the amorphous–crystalline composite were investigated by nanoindentation. A molecular dynamics simulation study was performed to simulate the formation of Fe_(55)Cr_(15)Mo_(15)Ni_(10)W_(5) amorphous alloy. The mechanical properties were obtained by compression simulations simultaneously. The results indicate that the Fe_(55)Cr_(15)Mo_(15)Ni_(10)W_(5) ribbon is an amorphous–crystalline composite structure with good ductility, and the hardness of the amorphous–crystalline composite is about 75%higher than that of master ingot. The simulation mechanical properties are in good agreement with the results of nanoindentation at the nanoscale.

Background Anorectal malignant melanoma was a rare disease with extremely poor prognosis. The aim of this study was to explore the clinical characteristic, diagnosis and treatment strategies of anorectal malignant melanoma. Methods The data of 57 patients with anorectal malignant melanoma was collected and retrospectively analyzed. Results Rectal bleeding and anal mass were found to be common symptoms of anorectal malignant melanoma. The preoperative diagnosis rate of anorectal malignant melanoma was 48.6%. The overall 3-year and 5-year survival rate was 38.0% and 21.3% respectively. The 3-year survival rates of stage I and II patients were 63.0% and 16.7% respectively （P=0.000）, and the 5-year survival rates were 33.3% and 11.1% （P=0.001）, which both had significant statistic differences. The 3-year survival rate of patients undergone abdmoninoperineal resection and patients undergone wide local excision were 36.7% and 53.0% respectively （P=0.280）, while the 5-year survival rate were 24.1% and 23.1% （P=0.642）, which both had no significant statistic differences. Conclusions This study identified no survival advantage to abdominoperineal resection in treatment of anorectal malignant melanoma, and we propose that wide local excision could be considered as the initial treatment of choice.

Introduction Pneumonia caused by a novel coronavirus known as 2019 novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19)[1]appeared in Wuhan,China in December 2019,and approximately 15%to 30%of patients developed acute respiratory distress syndrome within a short period of time.[2,3]To reduce respiratory symptoms and improve prognosis,respiratory support is the most important means of life support,[1]and non-invasive respiratory support systems,[2]including various conventional oxygen therapies,non-invasive positive pressure ventilation(NPPV),and high-flow nasal cannula(HFNC),are most commonly ***,their efficacy and safety remain unclear,and whether they increase the risk of aerosol dispersion and disease transmission is particularly controversial.[4,5]Given that there are many similarities between COVID-19 pneumonia and severe acute respiratory syndrome(SARS)and Middle East respiratory syndrome(MERS),[6]this study primarily discusses clinical indications and provides details regarding the prevention of nosocomial infections during NPPV and HFNC treatment of COVID-19 pneumonia based on previous clinical data on the use of these two therapies for SARS and MERS and our experience with the treatment of COVID-19 pneumonia.

Background:We aim to investigate the prevalence,patterns,risk factors,and outcomes of peritoneal metastases(PM)after curative laparoscopic hepatectomy(LH)for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods:A multicenter cohort of 2,138 HCC patients who underwent curative LH from August 2010 to December 2016 from seven hospitals in China was retrospectively *** incidence of PM following LH was evaluated and compared with that in open hepatectomy(OH)after 1:1 propensity score matching(PSM).Results:PM prevalence was 5.1%(15/295)in the early period[2010-2013],2.6%(47/1,843)in the later period[2014-2016],and 2.9%(62/2,138)in all LH patients,which was similar to 4.0%(59/1,490)in the OH *** recurrence patterns,timing,and treatment did not significantly vary between the LH and OH patients(P>0.05).Multivariate logistic regression revealed that tumor diameter>5 cm,non-anatomical resection,presence of microvascular invasion,and lesions<2 cm from major blood vessels were independent risk factors of PM after *** the 62 cases with PM,26(41.9%)had PM only,34(54.9%)had intrahepatic recurrence(IHR)and PM,and 2(3.2%)had synchronous extraperitoneal metastases(EPM).Patients with resectable PM had a 5-year overall survival(OS)of 65.0%compared to 9.0%for unresectable PM(P=0.001).Conclusions:The prevalence,patterns and independent risk factors of PM were identified for HCC patients after *** was not associated with increased incidence of PM in HCC patients for experienced *** re-excision of PM was associated with prolonged survival.

Cell death can be classified into two categories: apoptosis and necrosis. Apoptotic pathway can beeither caspase-dependent or caspase-independent. Caspase-independent cytopathic effect (CPE) has beendescribed. In order to evaluate the pattern of HeLa cell death induced by Coxsackievirus B3 (CVB3)and whether apoptosis involves caspase activation, we co-cultivated HeLa cells with CVB3 and detectedthe cytopathic changes, the alteration of mRNA and protein expression of caspase-3 gene plus caspase-3activity, as well as analyzing DNA fragmentation before and after caspase-3 activity inhibition. Accordingto the results, we propose that CVB3 may induce apoptosis and necrosis in HeLa cells, the latter appearingmuch earlier. Caspase-3 is activated at the levels of both transcription and translation, and procaspase-3 isproteolytically cleaved, thus leading to the continuous increasing of both caspase-3 precursor protein and itssubunit. Background:The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak occurred during the flu season around the world. This study aimed to analyze the impact of influenza A virus (IAV) exposure on ***:Seventy COVID-19 patients admitted to the hospital during January and February 2020 in Wuhan, China were included in this retrospective study. Serum tests including respiratory pathogen immunoglobulin M (IgM) and inflammation biomarkers were performed upon admission. Patients were divided into common, severe, and critical types according to disease severity. Symptoms, inflammation indices, disease severity, and fatality rate were compared between anti-IAV IgM-positive and anti-IAV IgM-negative groups. The effects of the empirical use of oseltamivir were also analyzed in both groups. For comparison between groups, t tests and the Mann-Whitney U test were used according to data distribution. The Chi-squared test was used to compare disease severity and fatality between groups. Results:Thirty-two (45.71%) of the 70 patients had positive anti-IAV IgM. Compared with the IAV-negative group, the positive group showed significantly higher proportions of female patients (59.38% vs. 34.21%, χ^2 = 4.43, P = 0.035) and patients with fatigue (59.38% vs. 34.21%, χ^2 = 4.43, P = 0.035). The levels of soluble interleukin 2 receptor (median 791.00 vs. 1075.50 IU/mL, Z = -2.70, P = 0.007) and tumor necrosis factor α (median 10.75 vs. 11.50 pg/mL, Z = -2.18, P = 0.029) were significantly lower in the IAV-positive group. Furthermore, this group tended to have a higher proportion of critical patients (31.25% vs. 15.79%, P = 0.066) and a higher fatality rate (21.88% vs. 7.89%, P = 0.169). Notably, in the IAV-positive group, patients who received oseltamivir had a significantly lower fatality rate (0 vs. 36.84%, P = 0.025) compared with those not receiving oseltamivir. The incidence of myopia has increased rapidly in recent decades, suggesting that environmental factors, such as light,may be an important cause. Correlated color temperature(CCT) is a commonly used index to quantify the spectral composition of light. Here, we used 32 juvenile monkeys(16 females and 16 males) and selected four kinds of light with typical but different CCTs to study the relationship between CCT and ocular axial elongation.

Background: Recent observational studies have suggested that the patients with hyperuricemia have a higher risk of having left atrial thrombus (LATH) or left atrial spontaneous echo contrast (LASEC) by transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), while the ultimate predictive value of a high uric acid (UA) level on LATH/LASEC remained obscure. Methods: We searched the PubMed and Cochrane clinical trials databases up to July 2015. Following screening the 369 initially identified studies, we analyzed six observational studies with 2381 patients. Results: The meta-analysis of these studies showed that an elevated serum UA level was associated with a higher likelihood of LATH/LASEC (OR ? 1.59, 95%CI 1.13e2.23, P ? 0.008), while significant differences exist among individual trials (P<0.00001 and I2 ? 85%). Sensitivity analysis failed to find any heterogeneity. Conclusion: An elevated UA level was associated with a higher risk of detecting a left atrial abnormality represented by LATH/LASEC.

本工作应用特异性K物质放射免疫分析法测定了大鼠心脏的K物质样免疫活性,心房和心室含量分别为19.9±3.5和4.1±0.8pmol/g组织。心脏内的K物质样免疫活性物质主要以单一分子形式存在。用免疫组织化学方法证明K物质免疫活性存在于心脏神经纤维内。大鼠心肌杂交细胞株(CP8401)细胞上含有K物质特异性结合部位,KD为1.61×10^(-10)mol/L,Bmax为8.08×10^(-12)mol/L。用心肌杂交细胞和离体心脏进行体外实验,证明K物质可释放ANF,这种释放可为速激肽受体拮抗剂[D-Pro^2,D-Trp^(7,9)]-SP部份抑制。给麻醉大鼠静脉注射K物质可引起血压降低、心率加快、左心室内压和收缩速度下降。这一作用亦可被[D-Pro^2,D-Trp^(7,9)]-SP所部份抑制。应用大鼠离体灌流心脏模型,发现K物质可升高心脏灌流压、左心室收缩期峰压、左心室内压最大上升速率和加快心率、具有正性变时和变力性作用。本工作提示,K物质存在于心脏神经纤维内,在心肌细胞上具有K物质的特异性结合位点。K物质可促进心肌细胞释放心钠素,并可调节心脏的功能。
