A low power high performance Delta-Sigma modulator for portable measurement applications is presented. To reduce power consumption while maintaining high performance, a fully feedforward architecture with a comprehensive system-level design is implemented. As a key building block, a novel power efficient current mirror operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) with a fast-settling less-error switched-capacitor common-mode feedback (SC CMFB) circuit is introduced, and the effects of both gain nonlinearity and 1/f noise of OTA are discussed. A new method to determine the voltage gain of an OTA is also proposed. The bottom terminal parasitic effect of poly-insulator-poly (PIP) capacitors is considered. About an extra 20% of capacitance is added to the total capacitance load. A power and area efficient resonator is adopted to realize a coefficient of 1/90 for 50% power and 75% area reduction compared with conventional designs. The chip is implemented in a low cost 0.35 μm complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) process. The total power consumption is 20 μW with a 1.5 V supply, and the measured dynamic range (DR) is 95 dB over a 1 kHz bandwidth. Experimental results show that a high figure-of-merit (FOM) is achieved for the designed modulator in comparison with those from the literature.

Human-specific insertions play important roles in human phenotypes and *** we reported a 446-bp insertion(Insert-446)in intron 11 of the TBC1D8B gene,located on chromosome X,and traced its origin to a portion of intron 6 of the EBF1 gene on chromosome ***,Insert-446 was present in the human Neanderthal and Denisovans genomes,and was fixed in humans after human-chimpanzee *** have demonstrated that Insert-446 acts as an enhancer through binding transcript factors that promotes a higher expression of human TBC1D8B gene as compared with orthologs in *** addition,over-expression TBC1D8B promoted cell proliferation and migration through“a dual finger”catalytic mechanism(Arg538 and Gln573)in the TBC domain in vitro and knockdown of TBC1D8B attenuated tumorigenesis in *** of Insert-446 prevented cell proliferation and migration in cancer and normal *** results reveal that the human-specific Insert-446 promotes cell proliferation and migration by upregulating the expression of TBC1D8B *** findings provide a significant insight into the effects of human-specific insertions on evolution.

Fluoropyrimidine-based combination chemotherapy plus targeted therapy is the standard initial treatment for unresectable metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC),but the prognosis remains *** phase 3 trial(***:NCT03950154)assessed the efficacy and adverse events(AEs)of the combination of PD-1 blockade-activated DC-CIK(PD1-T)cells with XELOX plus bevacizumab as a first-line therapy in patients with mCRC.A total of 202 participants were enrolled and randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either first-line XELOX plus bevacizumab(the control group,n=102)or the same regimen plus autologous PD1-T cell immunotherapy(the immunotherapy group,n=100)every 21 days for up to 6 cycles,followed by maintenance treatment with capecitabine and *** main endpoint of the trial was progression-free survival(PFS).The median follow-up was 19.5 *** PFS was 14.8 months(95%CI,11.6-18.0)for the immunotherapy group compared with 9.9 months(8.0-11.8)for the control group(hazard ratio[HR],0.60[95%CI,0.40-0.88];p=0.009).Median overall survival(OS)was not reached for the immunotherapy group and 25.6 months(95%CI,18.3-32.8)for the control group(HR,0.57[95%CI,0.33-0.98];p=0.043).Grade 3 or higher AEs occurred in 20.0%of patients in the immunotherapy group and 23.5%in the control groups,with no toxicity-associated deaths *** addition of PD1-T cells to first-line XELOX plus bevacizumab demonstrates significant clinical improvement of PFS and OS with well tolerability in patients with previously untreated mCRC.

Objective:This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the epidemiology of olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions related to COVID-19 in ***:This study was conducted by 45 tertiary Grade-A hospitals in *** and offline questionnaire data were obtained from patients infected with COVID-19 between December 28,2022,and February 21,*** collected information included basic demographics,medical history,smoking and drinking history,vaccination history,changes in olfactory and gustatory functions before and after infection,and other postinfection symptoms,as well as the duration and improvement status of olfactory and gustatory ***:Complete questionnaires were obtained from 35,566 *** overall incidence of olfactory and taste dysfunction was 67.75%.Being female or being a cigarette smoker increased the likelihood of developing olfactory and taste *** received four doses of the vaccine or having good oral health or being a alcohol drinker decreased the risk of such *** infection,the average olfactory and taste VAS scores were 8.41 and 8.51,respectively;after infection,they decreased to 3.69 and 4.29 and recovered to 5.83 and 6.55 by the time of the *** median duration of dysosmia and dysgeusia was 15 and 12 days,respectively,with 0.5%of patients having symptoms lasting for more than 28 *** overall self-reported improvement rate was 59.16%.Recovery was higher in males,never smokers,those who received two or three vaccine doses,and those that had never experienced dental health issues,or chronic accompanying ***:The incidence of dysosmia and dysgeusia following infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus is high in *** and prognosis are influenced by several factors,including sex,SARS-CoV-2 vaccination,history of head-facial trauma,nasal and oral health status,smoking and drinking history,and the persistence of accompanying symptoms.

AIM:To analyse macular microvascular alterations in myopic choroidal neovascularization(m CNV)and the efficiency of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(antiVEGF)therapy for m CNV by optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA).METHODS:A total of 123 patients were included in this retrospective study,divided into m CNV group,high myopia(HM)group,and normal group at the Affiliated Eye Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University from January 2017 to January *** vessel density,deep capillary density,foveal avascular zone(FAZ)area,A-circularity index(AI)and vessel density around the 300μm width of the FAZ region density(FD)and the area of choroidal neovascularization(CNV)lesion(only for m CNV group)were measured on 3×3 mm2 OCTA *** area was corrected for axial *** macular thickness(CMT)was measured on OCT in m CNV *** the parameters on OCTA of 3 groups and pre-anti-VEGF and post-anti-VEGF at 1,2,3,and 6 mo follow-up in m CNV ***:There were significant differences among 3 groups in superficial vessel density,deep capillary density and FD(P<0.05).FAZ area in HM group was smaller than normal group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between m CNV group and the other two *** increased in m CNV group(P<0.05).The mean CMT,area and flow area of CNV lesion decreased after treatment(P<0.05),while vessel density and FAZ didn’t *** mean CMT,area and flow area of CNV lesion statistically decreased after anti-VEGF treatment in m CNV group(P<0.05),while superficial vessel density,deep capillary density and FAZ area,AI and FD didn’t *** mean reduction ratio of lesions was 50.32%(7.07%to 100%).Lesion regression 100%was observed in 2 cases(4.88%).There was a negative correlation between the CNV lesion area and reduction ratio(r=-0.380,P=0.042)and the flow lesion area and reduction ratio(r=-0.402,P=0.030).CONCLUSION:Macular vessel density decreases,FAZ turns smaller and more irregular in m CNV ***

BACKGROUND: Hepatic artery thrombosis (HAT) is a frequent complication following liver transplantation, but it is rarely caused by arcuate ligament compression of the celiac artery. This article mainly describes our experience in managing a patient with celiac artery stenosis and HAT after liver transplantation. METHODS: A 44-year-old man with a 15-year history of hepatitis B was admitted to our hospital for hepatocellular carcinoma. Before the operatiori, he received transarterial chemoembolization once, and pretransplant MR angiography indicated a suspected stenosis at the initiation of the celiac artery, while color Doppler showed normal blood flow in the arterial system. In this case, orthotopic liver transplantation was performed for radical cure of hepatocellular carcinoma. However, B-ultrasonography detected poor blood flow in the intra- and extra-hepatic artery on the first posttransplant day, and during exploratory laparotomy a thrombus was found in the hepatic artery. Thus, re-transplantation was conducted with a bypass between the graft hepatic artery and the recipient abdominal aorta with the donor's splenic artery. RESULTS: The patient made an uneventful recovery and color Doppler showed good blood flow in the artery and portal system. Histology confirmed extensive thrombosis in the left and right hepatic artery of the explanted graft, indicating HAT. CONCLUSIONS: Although HAT caused by celiac trunk compression is rarely reported in liver transplantation, the diagnosis should be considered in patients with pretransplant hepatic artery stenosis on angiography and abnormal blood flow on B-ultrasonography. Once HAT is formed, treatment such as thrombectomy or retransplantation should be performed as early as possible.

The South Galactic Cap u-band Sky Survey （SCUSS） was established in 2009 in order to provide a photometric input catalog for target selection of the Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope （LAMOST） project. SCUSS is an international cooperative project between National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Steward Observatory at the University of Arizona, using the 90 inch （2.3 m） bok telescope on Kitt Peak. The telescope is equipped with a prime focus camera that is composed of a mosaic of four 4096 × 4096 CCDs and has a field of view of about 1 deg2. From 2009 to 2013, SCUSS performed a sky survey of an approximately 5000 deg2 field of the South Galactic Cap in u band, including the Galactic anticenter area and the SDSS-IV extended imaging area. The limiting magnitude of SCUSS is deeper than 23 mag （at a signal-to-noise ratio of 5）. In this paper, we briefly describe the goals of this project, method of observations and data reduction, and we also introduce current and potential scientific activities related to the SCUSS project.

PAPILLARY thyroid carcinoma （PTC） is the most common thyroid cancer and consists of nearly 80% of all cases of thyroid cancer.1 It is asso- ciated with the lowest level of malignancy and an excellent prognosis. Primary thyroid lymphoma （PTL） is a lymphomatous process which develops in the thyroid without involvement of primary lymphoid organs or distant metastases at diagnosis.2 It is a rare malignancy that accounts for 1%-5% of all thyroid malignancies and less than 2% of all extranodal lymphomas. The incidence of PTL is one or two cases per million.2＇ 3 It occurs frequently in elder woman, with a peak incidence in the sixth decade of life.
