Efficacy and safety of Yangxinshi tablet for chronic heart failure:A systematic review and meta-analysis

BACKGROUND The specific benefits of Yangxinshi tablet(YXST)in the treating chronic heart failure(CHF)remain uncertain.AIM To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of YXST in the treatment of CHF.METHODS Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)investigating YXST for CHF treatment were retrieved from eight public databases up to November 2023.Meta-analyses of the included clinical studies were conducted using Review Manager 5.3.RESULTS Twenty RCTs and 1845 patients were included.The meta-analysis results showed that the YXST combination group,compared to the conventional drug group,significantly increased the clinical efficacy rate by 23%[relative risk(RR)=1.23,95%CI:1.17-1.29],(Pher group reported any serious adverse events during treatment(RR=0.54,95%CI:0.15-1.90,P=0.33).In addition,Egger's test results indicated no significant publication bias(P=0.557).CONCLUSION YXST effectively improves clinical symptoms and cardiac function in patients with CHF while maintaining a favorable safety profile,suggesting its potential as a therapeutic strategy for CHF.

BACKGROUND Anxiety is common in patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),including those with ulcerative colitis(UC)and Crohn’s disease(CD);however,the causal relationship between IBD and anxiety remains unknown.AIM To investigate the causal relationship between IBD and anxiety by using bidirectional Mendelian randomization analysis.METHODS Single nucleotide polymorphisms retrieved from genome-wide association studies(GWAS)of the European population were identified as genetic instrument variants.GWAS statistics for individuals with UC(6968 patients and 20464 controls;adults)and CD(5956 patients and 14927 controls;adults)were obtained from the International IBD Genetics Consortium.GWAS statistics for individuals with anxiety were obtained from the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium(2565 patients and 14745 controls;adults)and FinnGen project(20992 patients and 197800 controls;adults),respectively.Inverse-variance weighted was applied to assess the causal relationship,and the results were strengthened by heterogeneity,pleiotropy and leave-one-out analyses.RESULTS Genetic susceptibility to UC was associated with an increased risk of anxiety[odds ratio:1.071(95%confidence interval:1.009-1.135),P=0.023],while genetic susceptibility to CD was not associated with anxiety.Genetic susceptibility to anxiety was not associated with UC or CD.No heterogeneity or pleiotropy was observed,and the leave-one-out analysis excluded the potential influence of a particular variant.CONCLUSION This study revealed that genetic susceptibility to UC was significantly associated with anxiety and highlighted the importance of early screening for anxiety in patients with UC.

(γ’+β)two-phase Ni-Al is a promising high-temperature protective coating material used on Ni-base superalloys since it has good interfacial compatibility with superalloys due to the low Al content compared to single-phaseβ-NiA l.In this paper,we aim to improve the oxidation resistance,whereby Ni-34Al-0.1Dy,a(γ’+β)two-phase Ni-Al alloy,was treated by laser shock processing(LSP)and the oxidation behavior at 1150℃ was investigated.The results showed that after oxidation,Al_(2)O_(3)scale formed on the originalβphase of the untreated alloy with a small grain size(200-800 nm),while for the LSP-treated samples,the scale grown on the originalβphase was dominantly composed of larger Al_(2)O_(3)grains with a size of 2-3μm.The distinction was attributed to the promotion ofθ-Al_(2)O_(3)toα-Al_(2)O_(3)transformation induced by the LSP,because the dislocation density,as well as surface roughness,were increased during LSP treatment which can provide heterogeneous nucleation sites forα-Al_(2)O_(3).In addition,the larger-size Al_(2)O_(3)particles,derived from the direct conversion of needle-likeθ-Al_(2)O_(3)in the initial oxidation stage,could rapidly overspread the wholeβphase surface thus reducing the scale growth rate.

Direct and inverse problems for the scattering of cracks with mixed oblique derivative boundary conditions from the incident plane wave are considered,which describe the scattering phenomenons such as the scattering of tidal waves by spits or reefs.The solvability of the direct scattering problem is proven by using the boundary integral equation method.In order to show the equivalent boundary integral system is Fredholm of index zero,some relationships concerning the tangential potential operator is used.Due to the mixed oblique derivative boundary conditions,we cannot employ the factorization method in a usual manner to reconstruct the cracks.An alternative technique is used in the theoretical analysis such that the far field operator can be factorized in an appropriate form and fulfills the range identity theorem.Finally,we present some numerical examples to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the factorization method.

BACKGROUND Marginal zone lymphoma(MZL)is an indolent subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma(NHL),which is rare clinically with severe rashes as the initial symptom.CASE SUMMARY This study reports a case of MZL with generalized skin rashes accompanied by pruritus and purulent discharge.First-line treatment with rituximab combined with zanubrutinib had poor effects.However,after switching to obinutuzumab combined with zanubrutinib,the case was alleviated,and the rashes disappeared.CONCLUSION For patients with advanced stage MZL not benefiting from type I anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody(mAb)combination therapy,switching to a type II anti-CD20 mAb combination regimen may be considered.This approach may provide a new perspective in the treatment of MZL.

Laser shock processing(LSP),as a novel surface modification technology,exhibits tremendous potential to improve the oxidation resistance of alloys.In this paper,(γ’+β)two-phase Ni-34Al-0.1Dy coatings were prepared by electron beam physical vapor deposition(EB-PVD)and then treated by LSP with different pulse energy(4 and 5 J).Their oxidation behavior(including isothermal oxidation and cyclic oxidation)at 1150°C was compared.In the isothermal oxidation case,the LSP-treated samples exhibited good ox-idation resistance due to high dislocation density and refined grains caused by the LSP.For the cyclic oxidation,however,the LSP-treated samples were subjected to undesirable thermally grown oxide(TGO)spallation.In the early oxidation stage(within 30 min),the residual compressive stress introduced by the LSP rapidly released,resulting in a severe plastic deformation at the coating/TGO interface.As a result,the mismatch between coating and TGO gave rise to the TGO spallation.With the increase in the oxida-tion time,work hardening,which continuously limited the synchronous deformation of the TGO/coating interface,became the dominant mechanism controlling the TGO spallation of 5 J-treated coatings.The continuous TGO spallation affected the Al supply and thus deteriorated the cyclic oxidation behavior.

Flexible multilayer MEMS coils and their application in energy harvesters

Electromagnetic vibration energy harvesters are promising for the power supply of wireless sensor nodes,small electronic devices,and wearable electronics.Conventional electromagnetic harvesters usually increase output by increasing the size of coils and magnets,limiting the improvement of energy conversion efficiency and power density.In this study,multilayer microelectromechanical system(MEMS)coils were prepared using flexible electronics,and their high integration performance in arbitrary space was utilized to greatly improve the utilization of the space magnetic field by the electromagnetic harvester.The core magnet of the generator was magnetically balanced to achieve levitation,which improved the sensitivity and reduced fatigue damage compared with traditional spring structures.The wound coils on the top and bottom of the magnet and the flexible coils on the sides worked together to improve the energy efficiency and output of the devices.The output performance of the device with different number distributions was simulated using mathematical models to obtain the optimal structural parameters.The results show that by introducing flexible multilayer MEMS coils on the side surface of the energy harvester,the open-circuit voltage of the energy generators increased from 7 to 10 V by more than 43%.Flexible multilayer MEMS coils can enhance energy conversion rates and possess compact dimensions,making them suitable for integration onto complex surfaces.After the vibration energy harvesting system testing,the maximum peak power of the harvester was 7.1 m W at an acceleration of1 g and a resonant frequency of 11 Hz with a resistor of 3.5 kΩinternal resistance.Moreover,a 470μF capacitor can be charged to 3.5 V within 10 s to drive a hygrothermograph to work for more than 80 s and can supply a light bulb continuously.This strategy shows the great potential of vibration-energy-driven electromagnetic generators for powering small electronics in limited spaces.

In our daily lives,low-frequency kinetic energy primarily manifests as vibrations.However,effective harnessing of lowfrequency kinetic energy remains a formidable challenge.This paper proposes a rope-driven rotor that rotates around an axis and consists of an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene(UHMWPE)wire wrapped around a metal shaft.The rotor can convert ultra-low frequency vibration/linear motion into rapid rotation by pressing the top at low frequencies and driving the rope for a quick release.The harvester can generate up to 36.25 m W power using a 0.1-mm-diameter UHMWPE wire as the rotor when periodically pressed down to 20 mm at a frequency of 1 Hz.A simple power generation floor is assembled,generating 28.58-m W power with a matching load at a frequency of 1.5 Hz.Moreover,the harvester can increase the charging voltage of a 0.47-F supercapacitor from 0 to 6.8 V within 10 min.In addition,the harvester can harvest energy through a light finger press motion,and the energy obtained can also support the continuous operation of multiple electronic devices concurrently.This study introduces an effective method for harvesting ultra-low frequency energy and has great prospects in the field of power generation floor and human movement energy harvesting.

We examine thermodynamic phase transition(PT)of the charged Gauss-Bonnet Ad S black hole(BH)by utilizing the shadow radius.In this system,we rescale the corresponding Gauss-Bonnet coefficientαby a factor of 1/(D-4),and ensure thatαis positive to avoid any singularity problems.The equation derived for the shadow radius indicates that it increases as the event horizon radius increases,making it an independent variable for determining BH temperature.By investigating the PT curve in relation to shadows,we can observe that the shadow radius can be used as an alternative to the event horizon radius in explaining the phenomenon of BH PT.Furthermore,the results indicate that an increase in the parameterαcorresponds to a decrease in the temperature of the BH.By utilizing the relationship between the temperature and the shadow radius,it is possible to obtain the thermal profile of the Gauss-Bonnet AdS BH.It is evident that there is an N-type variation in temperature for pressures Phe parameterαincreases,the region covered by shadow expands while the temperature decreases.The utilization of BH shadows as a probe holds immense significance in gaining a deeper understanding of BH thermodynamic behavior.
