A novel porous organic polymer(POP)has been constructed through the condensation of triptycene tricatechol and 1,3,5-benzenetris(4-phenylboronic acid).This triptycene-based POP exhibited high H2 uptake(up to 1.84 wt%at 77 K,1 bar),large CO_(2) adsorption capacity(up to 18.1 wt%at 273K,1 bar),and excellent CO_(2)/N_(2) adsorption selectivity(up to 120/1).The influence of solvent on the gas adsorption performance of the POP has also been investigated.

In biological systems, conformational transformations of nucleic acids play critical roles in genetic regulation. However, it remains a tricky task to design and optimize specific labeling strategies to track these *** this study, we exploited an intercalating fluorescent dye,GelRed, to characterize different DNA structures. We studied the correlation between fluorescence intensity and DNA structural properties. We showed that single-stranded DNAs with predicted self-folded secondary structures show much stronger fluorescence than those without such structures. For double-stranded DNAs, we observed that fluorescence intensity is positively correlated to their GCcontent. We also demonstrated that GelRed can be used to monitor DNA conformational changes upon temperature variations in real time. Based on these findings, we concluded that the fluorescence intensity of a GelRed-stained DNA structure has a good correlation with its thermostability in the form of a change in Gibbs free energy.

We report the structural characterization and proposed formation mechanism of honeycomb-like ZnO conglomerations fabricated by direct precipitation method. X-ray diffraction （XRD）, energy-disperse X-ray spectrometry （EDS）, scanning electron microscopy （SEM） showed that the as-prepared ZnO calcined at 700 ℃ were micron sphere particles with honeycomb-like structure. In the UV-vis absorbing spectrum, it was observed that there is a new additional absorption band at 260 nm, and it was speculated that the absorption may be caused by defects on the surface and interface of honeycomb-like ZnO. The as-products showed high sensitivity and short response time to sulfured hydrogen gas. These results demonstrate that honeycomb-like ZnO conglomerations are very promising materials for fabricating H2S gas sensors.

Prevalence of sleep-disordered breathing in elderly patients with cardiac pacemaker: a case-control study

Objective To investigate the prevalence of sleep-disordered breathing in elderly patients with permanent cardiac pacemaker implantation due to bradyarrhythmias, and the relationship between pacing mode and patients' sleep apnea-hypopnea *** Forty-four elderly patients (＞60 years) with cardiac pacemaker and their 44 controls matched for gender, age, body mass index and cardiovascular morbidity were studied using polysomnography or portable sleep monitoring device. Results Prevalence of sleep-disordered breathing (apnea-hypopnea index ≥5/h) was 44.7% and the mean apnea-hypopnea index was 8.2 ±4.1/h in the cardiac pacemaker group, which were significantly higher than those in control subjects (25% and 4.6±2.4/h, respectively, P＜0.01 and P＜0.05). The mean apnea-hypopnea index of patients with DDD or AAI pacemaker was significantly lower than that of patients with VVI pacemaker. Conclusions Sleep-disordered breathing was more common in patients who had their cardiac pacemaker implanted due to bradyarrhythmias than in their matched controls. Compared with VVI pacing, DDD or AAI pacing may be more beneficial to patients with bradyarrhythmias and sleep-disordered breathing.

目的调查浙江省东阳市农村居民和宿主动物大别班达病毒[DBV,也称发热伴血小板减少综合征病毒(SFTSV)]的感染率,并分析其影响因素,为发热伴血小板减少综合征(SFTS)疫情的控制提供理论依据。方法选择3个已有SFTS病例报告的镇街,并按照1∶1的配比方法选取3个地貌相似但无病例报告的镇街,每个镇街选取2个村作为研究区域,采集居民和宿主动物血清。人血清样本通过酶联免疫吸附试验进行SFTSV抗体检测,动物血清样本采用双抗原夹心法进行检测。使用SPSS 18.0软件对数据进行统计分析。组间率的比较采用χ^(2)检验,采用logistic回归对研究对象的危险因素进行分析。结果检测农村居民1117人,SFTSV抗体阳性22例,阳性率1.97%,不同性别、职业、年龄组间SFTSV抗体阳性率差异无统计学意义(均P>0.05);logistic回归分析表明居住村既往有SFTS病例报告、近5年有蜱叮咬史与SFTSV抗体阳性存在统计学关联,比值比(OR)分别为2.994[95%置信区间(CI):1.277~7.021]和3.563(95%CI:1.227~10.342),均P<0.05。在羊、犬、牛和猪这4种家养动物中,羊和犬的SFTSV抗体阳性率分别为45.83%(11/24)和7.69%(3/39),调查的7头牛和20头猪均未检测到SFTSV抗体阳性,不同动物之间抗体阳性率差异有统计学意义(χ^(2)=23.559,P<0.001)。调查鼠类183只,检出SFTSV抗体阳性1只。结论东阳市部分农村地区的居民和动物宿主均检出SFTSV抗体阳性,既往有病例报告地区抗体检出率高于无病例报告地区,提示东阳市SFTSV的流行范围超过预期,今后在SFTS的防控中除了做好灭蜱工作外,还需要加强动物管理、宣传教育和灭鼠等工作。

Effects of water molecules on luminescence in europium and terbium coordination polymers with p-fluorobenzoic acid as ligand

Our previous experimental observations show that the crystal structure of lanthanide luminescent complexes synthesized in aqueous solution usually contains a large number of coordination water molecules or free water *** order to probe the influence of water molecules on luminescent processes of lanthanide complexes,the photoluminescence properties of Ln-FBA(Ln=Eu and Tb,FBA=p-fluorobenzoic acid)coordination polymers at different ambient temperatures,in different solvents and aqueous DMSO solutions with different volume concentrations were systematically *** experiment results show that the presence of water molecules can promote the energy transfer from FBA ligand to Ln3+,at the same time,can cause luminescent non-radiation quenching of lanthanide *** addition,the variation of emission intensity ratio of 615 nm/591 nm peaks of Eu^(3+)with increasing the volume concentration of H_(2)O can be potentially used for the quantitatively detection of water traces in organic *** order to suppress the non-radiation quenching caused by the water molecules,Ln-FBA(Ln=Eu and Tb)coordination polymers were embedded into the PVP matrix to prepare Ln-FBA@PVP hybrid *** photoluminescence investigation indicates that PVP can not only block the quenching effect of water molecules on luminescence,but also effectively sensitize Eu^(3+)and Tb^(3+)*** experimental conclusions are useful for probing the influence of water molecules on luminescent processes of lanthanide complexes,quantitatively detecting water traces in organic solvents and enhancing the photoluminescence intensity in lanthanide complexes.

In this context,we firstly synthesized a novel nitrogen-doped multiporous carbon material from renewable biological cells through a facile chemical activation with K;CO;.After sulfur impregnation,the carbon/sulfur composite achieved a sulfur content of about 67 wt%.The C/S composite as the cathode of lithium-sulfur batteries exhibited a discharge capacity of 1410 mAh/g and good capacity retention of912 mAh/g at *** outstanding results were attributed to the synergy effect of microporous carbon and natural doping nitrogen *** believe that the facile approach for the synthesis of nitrogen-doped multiporous carbon from the low-cost and sustainable biological resources will not only be applied in lithium-sulfur batteries,but also in other electrode materials.

To obtain environmentally friendly,integrated and miniaturized gas sensors for the increasing request for the Internet of Things industry and other relative areas,the ultra-thin CoO_(x)/Zn O heterogeneous film with active interfacial sites was in-situ deposited on micro-electro-mechanical systems(MEMS)as H_(2)S *** layer deposition(ALD)was employed to in-situ fabricate the uniform Zn O thin *** CoO_(x)was deposited on ZnO surface to obtain CoO_(x)/Zn O heterojunction and active interfacial *** ultra-thin film(20 nm)with 50 ALD Co O_(x)decorated on 250 ALD Zn O displays excellent sensing performance,including very high response(4.45@200×10^(-9))and selectivity to H_(2)S with a limit of detection(LOD)of 0.38×10^(-9),long-term sensing stability,high response/recovery performance(7.5 s/15.7 s)and mechanical strength at 230。*** for the high sensing performance of CoO_(x)/Zn O have been confirmed by series of characterizations and density functional theory(DFT)*** film thickness with Debye length,the oxygen vacancies and the synergistic effect of active interfacial sites are main reasons for the high sensing *** strategy by fabrication of CoO_(x)/Zn O heterogeneous film within Debye length and employing synergistic effect of active interfacial sites offers a promising route for the design of environmentally friendly gas ***,the ALD technique offers a facile in-situ strategy and high-throughput fabrication of MEMS gas sensors.
