Proximal or middle lesions of the ulnar or median nerves are responsible for extensive loss of hand motor *** occurs even when the most meticulous microsurgical techniques or nerve grafts are *** studies had proposed that nerve transfer was more effective than nerve grafting for nerve *** hypothesis is that transfer of the posterior interosseous nerve,which contains mainly motor fibers,to the ulnar or median nerve can innervate the intrinsic muscles of *** present study sought to investigate the feasibility of reconstruction of the deep branch of the ulnar nerve and the thenar branch of median nerve by transferring the extensor indicis proprius branch of the posterior interosseous nerve obtained from adult *** results suggested that the extensor indicis proprius branch of the posterior interosseous nerve had approximately similar diameters and number of fascicles and myelinated nerve fibers to those of the deep branch of ulnar nerve and the thenar branch of the median *** confirm the feasibility of extensor indicis proprius branch of posterior interosseous nerve transfer for reconstruction of the deep branch of the ulnar nerve and the thenar branch of median *** procedure could be a novel and effective method for the functional recovery of the intrinsic muscles of hands after ulnar nerve or median nerve injury.

Verticillium dahliae may be classified into the two basic groups, defoliate and non-defoliate, in terms of the pathogenicity reaction of 19 isolates of Verticillium dahliae on 16 cotton varieties. According to the comprehensive resistant or susceptible expression of 8 defoliate isolates on 8 upland cotton varieties R02,R04, R05, R06, R08, R09, R11 and R14, the defoliate isolates were for the first time divided into three categories: strong pathogenic (XS4 as the representative), mediun with inclination to strong pathogenic (T9 as the representative) and medium pathogenic (VD8 as the representative). Through the resistance identification of varieties such as R05, R06, R08, R09, R11 and R14, the defoliate isolate VD8 originated from Nantong of jiangsu Province may be efficiently distinguished from the defoliate isolate 19 originated from USA. In nondefoliate category, utilizing 4 upland varieties R15, R14, R13 and R10, it might be possible to identify the different pathogenic genes in 7 isolates XJ4, XJ1, AY, VD404, VD326, LY, BP2 and may be nominated as No. 1 to No. 7 biological races respectively. The upland variety R01 is capable of resisting to all the isolates used in the experiments. While upland variety R12, may be used to identify strongly pathogenic isolate, which displayed a specific function in identifying strong pathogenic isolate strains.

The key to solve increasingly severe electromagnetic(EM)pollution is to explore sustainable,easily prepared,and cost-effective EM wave absorption materials with exceptional absorption ***,instead of anchoring on carbon materials in single layer,MoS_(2) flower-like microspheres were stacked on the surface of pomelo peels-derived porous carbon nanosheets(C)to fabricate MoS_(2)@C nanocomposites by a facile solvothermal *** wave absorption performances of MoS_(2)@C nanocomposites in X-band were systematically investigated,indicating the minimum reflection loss(RLmin)of-62.3 dB(thickness of 2.88 mm)and effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)almost covering the whole X-band(thickness of 2.63 mm)with the filler loading of only 20 wt.%.Superior EM wave absorption performances of MoS_(2)@C nanocomposites could be attributed to the excellent impedance matching characteristic and dielectric loss capacity(conduction loss and polarization loss).This study revealed that the as-prepared MoS_(2)@C nanocomposites would be a novel prospective candidate for the sustainable EM absorbents with superior EM wave absorption performances.

BACKGROUND Peripherally inserted central catheters(PICCs)are an essential infusion route for oncology patients receiving intravenous treatments,but lower extremity veni-puncture is the preferred technique for patients with superior vena cava syndrome(SVCS).We report the case of a patient with a lower extremity PICC ectopic to the ascending lumbar vein,to indicate and verify PICC catheterisation in the lower extremity is safe and *** hope to provide different per-spectives for clinical PICC venipuncture to get the attention of *** SUMMARY On 24 August 2022,a 58-year-old male was admitted to our department due to an intermittent cough persisting for over a month,which worsened 10 d *** and laboratory investigations suggested the patient with pulmonary malignancy and *** was not an absolute contraindication in this *** extremity venipuncture is the preferred technique because administering upper extremity venous transfusion to patients with SVCS can exacerbate oedema in the head,neck,and upper *** patient and his family were informed about the procedure,and informed consent was *** successful puncture and prompt treatment,the patient was discharged,experiencing some relief from *** Inferior vena cava catheterisation is rare and important for cancer patients with SVCS,particularly in complex situations involving ectopic placement.

Fine-grained visual parsing, including fine-grained part segmentation and fine-grained object recognition, has attracted considerable critical attention due to its importance in many real-world applications, e.g., agriculture, remote sensing, and space technologies. Predominant research efforts tackle these fine-grained sub-tasks following different paradigms, while the inherent relations between these tasks are neglected. Moreover, given most of the research remains fragmented, we conduct an in-depth study of the advanced work from a new perspective of learning the part relationship. In this perspective, we first consolidate recent research and benchmark syntheses with new taxonomies. Based on this consolidation, we revisit the universal challenges in fine-grained part segmentation and recognition tasks and propose new solutions by part relationship learning for these important challenges. Furthermore, we conclude several promising lines of research in fine-grained visual parsing for future research.

The challenge of high temperatures in deep mining remains harmful to the health of workers and their production efficiency The addition of phase change materials (PCMs) to filling slurry and the use of the cold storage function of these materials to reduce downhole temperatures is an effective approach to alleviate the aforementioned ***–CaCl_(2)·6H_(2)O composite PCM was prepared in the *** composition,phase change latent heat,thermal conductivity,and cemented tailing backfill (CTB) compressive strength of the new material were *** heat transfer characteristics and endothermic effect of the PCM were simulated using Fluent *** results showed the following:(1) The new paraffin–CaCl_(2)·6H_(2)O composite PCM improved the thermal conductivity of native paraffin while avoiding the water solubility of CaCl_(2)·6H_(2)O.(2) The calculation formula of the thermal conductivity of CaCl_(2)·6H_(2)O combined with paraffin was deduced,and the reasons were explained in principle.(3) The“enthalpy–mass scale model”was applied to calculate the phase change latent heat of nonreactive composite PCMs.(4)The addition of the paraffin–CaCl_(2)·6H_(2)O composite PCM reduced the CTB strength but increased its heat absorption *** research can give a theoretical foundation for the use of heat storage backfill in green mines.

Aiming at the problem that the asset’s fluctuation influences the borrower’s repayment ability,a loan with a new and flexible repayment method is designed,which depends on the asset value of the *** repayment method can reduce the loan default probability,but it causes the uncertainty of the pay off *** the repayment term is related to the regular repayment amount in this method,a boundary for the regular repayment amount is set up in order to avoid too long repayment *** will balance the benefit of borrowers and lenders and improve the applicability of this *** establishing a mathematical model of the residual value of the loan,this model can be transformed into an initial-boundary problem of a partial differential *** analytic solution and the expected time to pay off the loan are ***,numerical analysis are shown.

Biological scaffolds have been widely employed in wound healing applications,while their practical efficiency is compromised by insufficient oxygen delivery to the 3-dimensional constructs and inadequate nutrient supply for the long-term healing ***,we present an innovative living Chinese herbal scaffold to provide a sustainable oxygen and nutrient supply for promoting wound *** a facile microfluidic bioprinting strategy,a traditional Chinese herbal medicine(Panax notoginseng saponins[PNS])and a living autotrophic microorganism(microalgae Chlorella pyrenoidosa[MA])were successfully encapsulated into the *** encapsulated PNS could be gradually released from the scaffolds,which promoted cell adhesion,proliferation,migration,and tube formation in *** addition,benefiting from the photosynthetic oxygenation of the alive MA,the obtained scaffolds would produce sustainable oxygen under light illumination,exerting a protective effect against hypoxia-induced cell *** on these features,we have demonstrated through in vivo experiments that these living Chinese herbal scaffolds could efficiently alleviate local hypoxia,enhance angiogenesis,and thereby accelerate wound closure in diabetic mice,indicating their great potential in wound healing and other tissue repair applications.
