Variations, effectiveness and its associated factors of a nationwide web-based hypertension management training project in China: insights from a government-led campaign for 1.2 million lay health workers

OBJECTIVES To evaluate the effectiveness of a large-scale,web-based,in-service hypertension management training project among lay health workers(LHWs)at primary care health(PHC)settings in China,and to examine the factors contributing to the of *** METHODS We used data from a web-based national hypertension management training project implemented in 2018,it was designed to facilitate LHWs to learn,understand,and apply the relevant knowledge and skills in hypertension management through providing training courses by use of the web-based platform with unified *** LHWs were required to parti-cipate in the exams before and after training to acquire scores for the use of evaluating their performance of hypertension man-agement *** first used descriptive analysis to present the variations of effectiveness in hypertension management knowledge among LHWs by important ***,we used multilevel logistic regression to examine the individual regional factors contributing to the variations and quantify the magnitude of how these factors affected training *** RESULTS There were 1,208,610 LHWs who completed training and were ***,the scores of LHWs in-creased significantly from 62.87±21.14 out of 100 in the pre-test to 88.30±11.31 in the post-test by 25.43(95%confidence interval[CI]:25.40-25.47).Training contents involved in antihypertensive medication showed the lowest score(54.36)in the pre-test and soared the most after training,up to 84.22 by 54.94%.Individual factors associated with disparities in the knowledge of hyperten-sion management decreased substantially after training,which included sex,age,education,practice type,professional level,and hierarchy of working *** variations were shown at the provincial level,with the majority of them being ex-by factors at the regional *** CONCLUSIONS Accessible web-based training modality,government efforts,accompanie

Symmetrical Independence Tests for Two Random Vectors with Arbitrary Dimensional Graphs

Test of independence between random vectors X and Y is an essential task in statistical *** type of testing methods is based on the minimal spanning tree of variables X and *** main idea is to generate the minimal spanning tree for one random vector X,and for each edges in minimal spanning tree,the corresponding rank number can be calculated based on another random vector *** resulting test statistics are constructed by these rank ***,the existed statistics are not symmetrical tests about the random vectors X and Y such that the power performance from minimal spanning tree of X is not the same as that from minimal spanning tree of *** addition,the conclusion from minimal spanning tree of X might conflict with that from minimal spanning tree of *** order to solve these problems,we propose several symmetrical independence tests for X and *** exact distributions of test statistics are investigated when the sample size is ***,we study the asymptotic properties of the statistics.A permutation method is introduced for getting critical values of the *** with the existing methods,our proposed methods are more efficient demonstrated by numerical analysis.

Surface vitrification of carbon by laser treatment: Insights of glass formation from molecular dynamics

Microstructural modification of carbon materials,such as carbon fibers(Cf)and pyrolytically deposited carbon,is important for engineering ***,the regulation of these materials is not an effortless *** understand the impacts of thermal spikes from pulsed laser processing on the structural adaptation of amorphous carbon(a-C),we performed melt quenching by molecular dynamics(MD)*** results confirm that the vitrification behavior of carbon can be tuned by adjusting the cooling rate(R),which is controlled by the thermal spikes of laser ***,we set up a two-step way to locate the critical cooling rate(R_(c))of monoatomic carbon,which is refined by the sharp change in the environmental similarity *** this novel technique,we demonstrate that the ordering degree and the local atomic motif can be largely modified by going across a bar of 100 K/ps,which is extracted as the critical cooling rate to ensure the complete amorphization of *** approach provides a criterion for both experimentally processing and theoretically simulating a-C ***,this work provides guidelines on how to tune the amorphous carbon structures of engineering materials and provides an outlook for the wonderland of amorphous carbon materials.

Nuclear transport receptors underpin plastidial retrograde signaling

The nucleus integrates cytosolic and organellar signals to regulate gene expression during plant stress responses,and this process is highly dependent on shuttling of signaling molecules in and out of the *** nucleocytoplasmic transport of macromolecules is facilitated by nuclear transport receptors(NTRs).NTRs are broadly categorized into exportins,which mediate the export of cargo from the nucleus to the cytoplasm,and importins,which facilitate the import of cargo into the *** importin family comprises importin-α(IMPa)and importin-β(IMPp).IMPa proteins are adaptor proteins and composed of three functional domains:an N-terminal IMPβ-binding(IBB)domain,ten Armadillo(ARM)repeats responsible for recognizing and interacting with cargo,and an exportin-interacting domain crucial for recycling via nuclear export(Wing et al.,2022).During a nuclear transport event,*** cargo containing a classical nuclear localization signal(cNLS)through its ARM repeats and engages IMPβvia its IBB domain,forming the cargo-IMPa-IMPβternary ***βfacilitates translocation of this complex through the nuclear *** inside the nucleus,RanGTP competes with IMPa for binding to IMPβ,promoting disassembly of the transport complex and releaseofcargo.

Effect of Low-temperature Imidization on Properties and Aggregation Structures of Polyimide Films with Different Rigidity

HAPE3D—a new constructive algorithm for the 3D irregular packing problem

We propose a new constructive algorithm, called HAPE3 D, which is a heuristic algorithm based on the principle of minimum total potential energy for the 3D irregular packing problem, involving packing a set of irregularly shaped polyhedrons into a box-shaped container with fixed width and length but unconstrained height. The objective is to allocate all the polyhedrons in the container, and thus minimize the waste or maximize profit. HAPE3 D can deal with arbitrarily shaped polyhedrons, which can be rotated around each coordinate axis at different angles. The most outstanding merit is that HAPE3 D does not need to calculate no-fit polyhedron(NFP), which is a huge obstacle for the 3D packing problem. HAPE3 D can also be hybridized with a meta-heuristic algorithm such as simulated annealing. Two groups of computational experiments demonstrate the good performance of HAPE3 D and prove that it can be hybridized quite well with a meta-heuristic algorithm to further improve the packing quality.

Background:Although clozapine is an effective option for treatment-resistant schizophrenia(TRS),there are still 1/3 to 1/2 of TRS patients who do not respond to *** main purpose of this randomized,double-blind,placebocontrolled trial was to explore the amisulpride augmentation efficacy on the psychopathological symptoms and cognitive function of clozapine-resistant treatment-refractory schizophrenia(CTRS)***:A total of 80 patients were recruited and randomly assigned to receive initial clozapine plus amisulpride(amisulpride group)or clozapine plus placebo(placebo group).Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale(PANSS),Scale for the Assessment of Negative Symptoms(SANS),Clinical Global Impression(CGI)scale scores,Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status(RBANS),Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale(TESS),laboratory measurements,and electrocardiograms(ECG)were performed at baseline,week 6,and week ***:Compared with the placebo group,amisulpride group had a lower PANSS total score,positive subscore,and general psychopathology subscore at week 6 and week 12(PBonferroni<0.01).Furthermore,compared with the placebo group,the amisulpride group showed an improved RBANS language score at week 12(PBonferroni<0.001).Amisulpride group had a higher treatment response rate(P=0.04),lower scores of CGI severity and CGI efficacy at week 6 and week 12 than placebo group(PBonferroni<0.05).There were no differences between the groups in body mass index(BMI),corrected QT(QTc)intervals,and laboratory *** study demonstrates that amisulpride augmentation therapy can safely improve the psychiatric symptoms and cognitive performance of CTRS patients.

Let G be a simple graph and G~σ be the oriented graph with G as its underlying graph and orientation σ.The rank of the adjacency matrix of G is called the rank of G and is denoted by r(G).The rank of the skew-adjacency matrix of G~σ is called the skew-rank of G~σ and is denoted by sr(G~σ).Let V(G)be the vertex set and E(G) be the edge set of *** cyclomatic number of G,denoted by c(G),is equal to |E(G)|-|V(G)|+ω(G),where ω(G) is the number of the components of *** is proved for any oriented graph G~σ that-2c(G)≤sr(G~σ)-r(G)≤2c(G).In this paper,we prove that there is no oriented graph G~σwith sr(G~σ)-r(G)=2c(G)-1,and in addition,there are infinitely many oriented graphs G~σ with connected underlying graphs such that c(G)=k and sr(G~σ)-r(G)=2c(G)-l for every integers k,l satisfying 0 ≤l≤4k and l≠1.
