Ir single atoms modified Ni(OH)2 nanosheets on hierarchical porous nickel foam for efficient oxygen evolution

Developing highly efficient oxygen evolution reaction(OER)catalysts for electrolytic water splitting is urgently desirable but remains a challenge due to sluggish kinetic process of water ***,we report a one-step electrodeposition strategy to prepare Ni(OH)2 modified with Ir single-atom catalysts(SACs)(Ir SACs/Ni(OH)2)on an electrically conductive substrate of three dimensional(3D)hierarchical porous nickel foam(HP-NF)as efficient OER *** HP-NF with abundant open pores can not only enable the full exposure of catalytically active sites but also facilitate the diffusion of electrolyte and release of gaseous oxygen *** optimal Ir SACs/Ni(OH)2@HP-NF exhibits a remarkable catalytic performance and outstanding stability for the OER activity in 1.0 M KOH alkaline media,delivering a low overpotential of~223 mV at a current density of 10 mA·cm-2 and a low Tafel plot of 58 mV·*** characterizations together with control electrochemical experiments demonstrated that the superior activity and robust stability of Ir SACs/Ni(OH)2@HP-NF for OER are originated from the highly distributed and exposed Ir SACs and 3D interconnected pores of HP-NF with high electric conductivity.

Interface enhanced superconductivity in monolayer FeSe films on MgO(001):charge transfer with atomic substitution

Interface enhanced superconductivity over 50 K has been discovered in monolayer Fe Se films grown on several TiO_2-terminated oxide *** such phenomenon exists in other oxide substrates remains an extremely interesting *** we report enhanced superconductivity with an onset transition temperature of 18 K in monolayer Fe Se on Mg O(001) substrate by transport *** transmission electron microscopy investigation on the interface structure indicates that Fe Se films grow epitaxially on Mg O(001) and that overlayer Fe atoms diffuse into the top two layers of Mg O and substitute Mg *** density functional theory calculations reveal that this substitution promotes the charge transfer from the Mg O substrate to the Fe Se films,an essential process that also occurs in monolayer Fe Se on TiO_2-terminated oxides and contributes to the enhanced superconductivity *** finding suggests that superconductivity enhancement in monolayer Fe Se films on oxides substrates is rather general as long as charge transfer is allowed at the interface,thus pointing out an explicit direction for searching for new high temperature superconductivity by interface engineering.

Spectroscopic Measurements of Impurity Spectra on the EAST Tokamak

Ultraviolet （UV） and visible impurity spectra （200-750 nm） are commonly used to study plasma and wall interactions in magnetic fusion plasmas. Two optical multi-channel analysis （OMA） systems have been installed for the UV-visible spectrum measurement on EAST. These two OMA systems are both equipped with the Czerny-Turner （C-T） type spectrometer. The upper vacuum vessel and inner divertor baffle can be viewed simultaneously through two optical lenses. The OMA1 system is mainly used for multi-impurity lines radiation measurement. A 280 nm wavelength range can be covered by a 300 mm focal length spectrometer equipped with a 300 grooves/mm grating. The Da/Ha line shapes can be resolved by the OMA2 system. The focal length is 750 mm. The spectral resolution can be up to 0.01 nm using a 1800 grooves/mm grating. The impurity behaviour and hydrogen ratio evolution after boroniztion, lithium coating, and siliconization are compared. Lithium coating has shown beneficial effects on the reduction of edge recycling and low Z impurity （C, O） influx. The impurity expelling effect of the divertor configuration is also briefly discussed through multi-channels observation of OMA1 system.

Ideal tensile strength of chromium by first-principles method

The ideal tensile strengths of Cr along [001],[110] and [111] directions were calculated based on the first-principles *** results show that the ideal tensile strengths are 30.83,37.2 and 35.49 GPa for antiferromagnetic Cr,while they are 33.09,47.15 and38.11 GPa for non-magnetic Cr along [001],[110] and[111] directions,*** is obvious that [001] is the weakest *** the loading is applied on the direction [001],the ideal tensile strength is reached before the shear instability for both the anti-ferromagnetic and non-magnetic Cr;thus,Cr fails by cleavage and it is deemed to be intrinsically ***,for the antiferromagnetic Cr,the correlation between the magnetic moment and volume was analyzed,and the result shows that the magnetic moment increases with the increase in volume and eventually disappears with the increase in *** addition,the density of states in the process of loading was also discussed.

Accurate cell type annotation for single-cell chromatin accessibility data via contrastive learning and reference guidance

Recent advances in single-cell chromatin accessibility sequencing(scCAS)technologies have resulted in new insights into the characterization of epigenomic heterogeneity and have increased the need for automatic cell type ***,existing automatic annotation methods for scCAS data fail to incorporate the reference data and neglect novel cell types,which only exist in a test ***,we propose RAINBOW,a reference-guided automatic annotation method based on the contrastive learning framework,which is capable of effectively identifying novel cell types in a test *** utilizing contrastive learning and incorporating reference data,RAINBOW can effectively characterize the heterogeneity of cell types,thereby facilitating more accurate *** extensive experiments on multiple scCAS datasets,we show the advantages of RAINBOW over state-of-the-art methods in known and novel cell type *** also verify the effectiveness of incorporating reference data during the training *** addition,we demonstrate the robustness of RAINBOW to data sparsity and number of cell ***,RAINBOW provides superior performance in newly sequenced data and can reveal biological implication in downstream *** the results demonstrate the superior performance of RAINBOW in cell type annotation for scCAS *** anticipate that RAINBOW will offer essential guidance and great assistance in scCAS data *** source codes are available at the GitHub website(BioX-NKU/RAINBOW).

Monodispersed spherical Ru powders are essential for fabricating high-performance Ru sputtering targets,which have applications in very-large-scale integration circuits and magnetic recording ***,the synthesis of such powders remains a major ***,we reported the synthesis of monodispersed spherical Ru powders through controlling the molar ratio of SO_(4)^(2-)to Ru^(3+)in urea homogeneous precipitation solution and the annealing *** the addition of(NH4)2SO_(4)into the reaction solution,only gel-like precipitation particles were *** introducing(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4) into the reaction solution and controlling the molar ratio of SO_(4)^(2-)to Ru3+between 0.50 and 1.00,monodispersed spherical precursor powders were *** nucleation and growth of monodispersed spherical precursor particles in solution were found to conform to LaMer's *** controlled annealing at 450℃in a hydrogen atmosphere,the obtained metallic Ru powder with an average particle size of 135 nm inherited the spherical morphology and excellent dispersity from the monodispersed spherical precursor *** results and findings would deepen the understanding of the preparation of monodispersed Ru and Ru-like powders.

Preparing high-purity iron by direct reduction?smelting separation of ultra-high-grade iron concentrate

A new process for preparing high-purity iron(HPI)was proposed,and it was investigated by laboratory experiments and pilot *** results show that under conditions of a reduced temperature of 1075°C,reduced time of 5 h,and CaO content of 2.5wt%,a DRI with a metallization rate of 96.5%was obtained through coal-based direct reduction of ultra-high-grade iron ***,an HPI with a Fe purity of 99.95%and C,Si,Mn,and P contents as low as 0.0008wt%,0.0006wt%,0.0014wt%,and 0.0015wt%,respectively,was prepared by smelting separation of the DRI using a smelting temperature of 1625°C,smelting time of 45 min,and CaO content of 9.3wt%.The product of the pilot test with a scale of 0.01 Mt/a had a lower impurity content than the Chinese industry *** HPI with a Fe purity of 99.98wt%can be produced through the direct reduction?smelting separation of ultra-high-grade iron concentrate at relatively low *** proposed process shows a promising prospect for application in the future.

BACKGROUND 3,6-dichlorobenzo[b]thiophene-2-carboxylic acid(BT2)is a benzothiophene carboxylate derivative that can suppress the catabolism of branched-chain amino acid(BCAA)-associated mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1(mTORC1)*** studies have demonstrated the therapeutic effects of BT2 on arthritis,liver cancer,and kidney ***,the effects of BT2 on ulcerative colitis(UC)are *** To investigate the anti-UC effects of BT2 and the underlying *** Mouse UC models were created through the administration of 3.5%dextran sodium sulfate(DSS)for 7 *** mice in the treated groups were administered salazosulfapyridine(300 mg/kg)or BT2(20 mg/kg)orally from day 1 to day *** the end of the study,all of the mice were sacrificed,and colon tissues were removed for hematoxylin and eosin staining,immunoblot analyses,and immunohistochemical *** levels were measured by flow *** contents of BCAAs including valine,leucine,and isoleucine,in mouse serum were detected by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry,and the abundance of intestinal flora was analyzed by 16S ribosomal DNA *** Our results revealed that BT2 significantly ameliorated the inflammatory symptoms and pathological damage induced by DSS in ***2 also reduced the production of the proinflammatory cytokines interleukin 6(IL-6),IL-9,and IL-2 and increased the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 *** addition,BT2 notably improved BCAA catabolism and suppressed mTORC1 activation and cyclooxygenase-2 expression in the colon tissues of UC ***,highthroughput sequencing revealed that BT2 restored the gut microbial abundance and diversity in mice with *** with the DSS group,BT2 treatment increased the ratio of Firmicutes to Bacteroidetes and decreased the abundance of Enterobacteriaceae and *** Our results indicated that BT2 significantly ameliorated DSS-induced UC and that the late
