Portable quantum sensors are crucial for developing practical quantum sensing and metrology *** nitrogen-vacancy(NV)centers in diamonds have emerged as one of the most promising candidates for compact quantum ***,due to the difficulty of coherently controlling the ensemble spin and noise suppression in a large volume,it often faces problems such as reduced sensitivity and narrowed bandwidth in integrated lensless ***,we propose a fluorescence signal treatment method for NV spin ensemble manipulation by the exponential fitting of spin polarization processes,instead of integrating the photon *** enables spin state readout with a high signal-to-noise ratio and applies to the pulse sensing protocols for large-volume NV *** on this,we further developed a fiberized diamond-based AC *** an XY8-N dynamical decoupling pulse sequence,we demonstrated a T_(2)-limited sensitivity of 8pT/√Hz and T_(1.-limited frequency resolution of 90 Hz over a wide frequency band from 1.0 kHz to 3 *** integrated diamond sensor leverages quantum coherence to achieve enhanced sensitivity in detecting AC magnetic fields,making it suitable for implementation in a compact and portable endoscopic sensor.

The sloshing in a group of rigid cylindrical tanks with baffles and on soil foundation under horizontal excitation is studied *** solutions for the velocity potential are derived out by the liquid subdomain *** models with mass-spring oscillators are established to replace continuous *** with the least square technique,Chebyshev polynomials are employed to fit horizontal,rocking and horizontal-rocking coupling impedances of soil,respectively.A lumped parameter model for impedance is presented to describe the effects of soil on tank structures.A mechanical model for the soil-foundation-tank-liquid-baffle system with small amount of calculation and high accuracy is proposed using the substructure *** analytical solutions are in comparison with data from reported literature and numerical codes to validate the effectiveness and correctness of the *** dynamic properties and seismic responses of the soil-tank system are given for the baffle number,size and location as well as soil parameter.

A Self-Healing Elastomer with Extremely High Toughness Achieved by Acylsemicarbazide Hydrogen Bonding and Cu^(2+)-Neocuproine Coordination Interactions

Elastomers with high mechanical toughness can guarantee their durability during service ***-healing ability,as well as recyclability,can also extend the life of materials and save the consuming cost of the *** efforts have been dedicated to promoting the mechanical toughness as well as the self-healing capability of elastomers at the same time,while it remains a challenge to balance the trade-off between the above properties in one *** we proposed a molecular design driven by dual interactions of acylsemicarbazide hydrogen bonding and Cu^(2+)-neocuproine coordination *** introducing the reversible multiple hydrogen bonds and strong coordination bonds,we successfully fabricated an extremely tough and self-healing *** elastomer can achieve an impressive top-notch toughness of 491.MJ/m^(3).Furthermore,it boasted rapid elastic restorability within 1. min and outstanding crack tolerance with high fracture energy(1.2.6kJ/m^(2)).Benefiting from the combination of dynamic interactions,the material was able to self-repair under 80℃conveniently and could be reprocessed to restore the exceptional mechanical properties.

Adjusting oxygen vacancy of VO_(2)·xH_(2)O nanoarray architectures for efficient NH_(4)^(+) storage

Aqueous rechargeable batteries are the promising energy storge technology due to their safety,low cost,and environmental *** ion(NH_(4)^(+))is an ideal charge carrier for such batteries because of its small hydration radius and low molar *** this study,VO_(2)·xH_(2)O with rich oxygen defects(d-HVO)is designed and synthesized,and it exhibits unique nanoarray structure and good electrochemical performances for NH_(4)^(+)*** and calculation results indicate that oxygen defects in d-HVO can enhance the conductivity and diffusion rate of NH_(4)^(+),leading to improved electrochemical *** most significant improvement is observed in d-HVO with 2 mmol thiourea(d-HVO-2)(220 mAh·g^(-1. at 0.1.A·g^(-1.),which has a moderate defect content.A full cell is assembled using d-HVO-2 as the anode and polyaniline(PANI)as the cathode,which shows excellent cycling stability with a capacity retention rate of 80%after 1.00 cycles and outstanding power density up to 4540 W·kg^(-1..Moreover,the flexible d-HVO-2||PANI battery,based on quasi-solid electrolyte,shows excellent flexibility under different bending *** study provides a new approach for designing and developing high-performance NH_(4)^(+)storage electrode materials.

Lassa virus(LASV)is an enveloped,negative-sense RNA virus that causes Lassa hemorrhagic *** entry of LASV requires the viral glycoprotein 1.GP1.to undergo a receptor switch from its primary receptor alpha-dystroglycan(α-DG)to its endosomal receptor lysosome-associated membrane protein 1.LAMP1..A conserved histidine triad in LASV GP1.has been reported to be responsible for receptor *** test the hypothesis that other non-conserved residues also contribute to receptor switch,we constructed a series of mutant LASV GP1.proteins and tested them for binding to *** residues,L84,K88,L1.7,and H1.0,were identified as critical for receptor *** any of the four residues with the corresponding lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus(LCMV)residue(L84 N,K88E,L1.F,and H1.0S)reduced the binding affinity of LASV GP1.for ***,all mutations caused decreases in glycoprotein precursor(GPC)-mediated membrane fusion at both pH 4.5 and *** infectivity of pseudotyped viruses bearing either GPCL84N or GPCK88E decreased sharply in multiple cell types,while L1.7F and H1.0S had only mild effects on *** biolayer light interferometry assay,we found that all four mutants had decreased binding affinity to LAMP1.in the order of binding affinity being L84 N>L1.7F>K88E>*** four amino acid loci identified for the first time in this study have important reference significance for the in-depth investigation of the mechanism of receptor switching and immune escape of LASV occurrence and the development of reserve anti-LASV infection drugs.

Fluoroacetate dehalogenases(FAcD),a homodimeric enzyme,catalyzes the conversion of fluoroacetic acid to glycolic acid(GoA).It has been proved that the enzyme has a half-of-the-site ***,its catalytic(C)subunit converts the first substrate to a covalent intermediate;then,the non-catalytic(NC)subunit binds a second substrate and promotes the conversion of the intermediate in the C subunit into the final *** the release of the product,the C subunit becomes the NC subunit,and the previous NC subunit becomes the C *** elucidate the detailed mechanism behind this cooperative catalysis,we have conducted microsecond-scale MD simulations along the reaction *** simulations indicate that the substrate in the NC subunit induces W1.5 and Y1.1.adopting an open conformation in the C *** opening of W1.5(C)facilitates the entry of catalytic water,enhancing the catalytic activity for product formation,while the opening of Y1.1.C)creates an unfavorable environment for product binding,promoting its *** interaction network analysis reveals that the substrate in the NC subunit can induce conformational changes through a conserved water chain at the interface.

Lithium batteries find extensive applications in energy *** is a crucial indicator for assessing the state of lithium-ion batteries,and numerous experiments require thermal images of lithium-ion batteries for research ***,acquiring thermal imaging samples of lithium-ion battery faults is challenging due to factors such as high experimental costs and associated *** address this,our study proposes the utilization of a Conditional Wasserstein Generative Adversarial Network with Gradient Penalty and Residual Network(CWGAN-GP with Residual Network)to augment the dataset of thermal images depicting lithium-ion battery *** employ various evaluation metrics to quantitatively analyze and compare the generated thermal images of lithium-ion ***,the expanded dataset,comprising four types of thermal images depicting lithium-ion battery faults,is input into a Mask Region-based Convolutional Neural Network for *** results demonstrate that the proposed model surpasses both traditional Generative Adversarial Network and Wasserstein Generative Adversarial Network in terms of the quality of generated thermal images of lithium-ion ***,the augmentation of the dataset leads to an improvement in the fault diagnosis accuracy of the Mask Region-based Convolutional Neural Network.

Improvement of impact properties of Al-Si-Mg alloy via solution treatment and joint modification with Sr and La

An effort to obtain superior impact properties for Al-7Si-0.35 Mg alloy is presented,where modification with 0.02 wt% Sr and 0.1.wt% La as well as solution treatment was jointly *** samples were solution treated at 535℃ for 1. min to 1. *** microstructure,fracture mechanism,and their correlation with the impact properties of the alloy were studied in detail mainly through optical microscopy(OM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and oscillography impact *** results show that the addition of Sr and La refined the eutectic Si particles significantly from~ 2.05 μm(modified with Sr alone) to~ 0.75 μm in as-cast microstructure,leading to a very homogeneous distribution of spheroidized Si particles in the alloy solution treated at 535℃ for 8 *** alloy exhibits excellent impact toughness up to 75 J·cm^(-2),which is much higher than the maximum impact toughness of the alloys modified by Sr alone(~ 46 J·cm^(-2)).The major reason for this remarkable increase in the impact property is the dramatic increase in crack initiation *** dispersoid-free zones(DFZs)near the eutectic regions mainly consist of the ductile Al-matrix,which exhibits excellent *** ductile Al-matrix of the DFZs hinders the crack propagation,resulting in a significant increase in crack propagation energy.
