Detachment Behavior of Gecko Toe in Functional strategies for Bionic Toe

Geckos can efficiently navigate complex terrains due to their multi-level adhesive system that is present on their *** setae are responsible for the gecko’s extraordinary adhesion and have garnered wide attention from the scientific *** majority of the reported works in the literature that have dealt with the peeling models mainly focus on the gecko hierarchical adhesive system,with limited attention given to investigating the influence of gecko toe structure on the *** these lines,to gain a deeper understanding of the rapid and effortless detachment abilities of gecko toes,the peeling behavior of gecko toes on vertical surfaces was primarily investigated in this *** specifically,the detachment time of a single toe on a smooth acrylic plate was measured to be 0.41±0.21 ***,it was observed that the toe assumed a"U"-shaped structure upon complete ***,Finite Element Analysis(FEA)models for three different types of gecko toes were developed to simulate both the displacement-peel and the moment-peel *** the segmentation of the adhesive layer led to a gradual decrease in the resultant force,as well as the normal and tangential ***,a gecko-inspired toe model was constructed and powered by shape Memory Alloy(sMA).A systematic comparison between the vertical drag separation and the outward flip separation was also *** our analysis,it was clearly demonstrated that outward peel separation significantly necessitated the reduction of the peeling force,thus confirming the advantageous nature of the outward motion in gecko toe *** data not only contribute to a deeper understanding of the gecko detachment behavior but also offer valuable insights for the advancement of the wall-climbing robot feet.

Design and preparation of a crosslinkable,oil-resistant,and bio-based elastomer from fumarate

Poly(diethyl fumarate-co-methoxyethyl acrylate-co-vinyl chloroacetate)(PDEFMV),a novel bio-based elastomer with a saturated structure,was synthesized via redox emulsion *** glass-transition temperatures of PDEFMV,adjusted through the variation of the diethyl fumarate-to-methoxyethyl acrylate feeding ratio,ranged from-36.1 to-14.8 ℃.The number-average molecular weights of PDEFMV ranged from 384,000 to 46,000 g/*** designing the molecular structure,vinyl chloroacetate was used to provide active sites for subsequent vulcanization and *** active chlorine groups within the PDEFMV chain reacted with the crosslinking agent trithiocyanuric acid under high temperature and pressure to form a nonsulfur crosslinked three-dimensional network *** achieve the desired properties,carbon black(CB,N330) was incorporated to reinforce PDEFMV,leading to the formation of PDEFMV/CB composites.A comprehensive study was conducted on the high-temperature oil resistance of PDEFMV/CB *** immersion in iRM903 oil at temperatures of 150 and 200 ℃ for 72 h,the mass and volume changes in PDEFMV/CB were lower than those observed in commercially available acrylate rubber(AR)/CB,indicating that PDEFMV exhibited superior oil ***,the aging characteristics and mechanisms of oil resistance in the PDEFMV/CB and AR/CB composites were investigated at different temperatures(150,200,and 250 ℃).The results provide insights into the operational temperature ranges suitable for PDEFMV/CB and offer valuable guidance for potential industrial applications.

Background:Pregnancy in women with pulmonary arterial hypertension(PAH)is a fatal condition,despite the effectiveness of PAH-specific *** coverage status and effect of specific therapies in pregnant patients with PAH without cardiac shunts in China remain *** investigate this issue,we conducted a multicenter retrospective study in northern ***:The study included 85 patients who were admitted to 4 clinical centers in shandong Province between October 2010 and August *** endpoint events included(1)maternal death and/or(2)major adverse cardiac events,both occurring during pregnancy or within 6 weeks ***:Although the overall mortality rate was encouraging(11.8%),the number of patients receiving PAH-specific therapies was extremely low(28.2%).Moreover,only 15.3%of patients received adequate duration of PAH-specific therapy(≥4 weeks)before delivery,and this subgroup showed the lowest major adverse cardiac events rate(7.7%)compared with that in the untreated(19.7%)and short-time treated groups(s;54.5%).Conclusion:Pregnant patients with PAH without cardiac shunts face significantly increased mortality ***-term PAH-specific therapy does not guarantee favorable maternal *** screening,early identification,and timely intervention are expected to improve maternal outcomes in pregnant women with PAH.

Effects of long-term partial substitution of inorganic fertilizer with pig manure and/or straw on nitrogen fractions and microbiological properties in greenhouse vegetable soils

Partial substitution of inorganic fertilizers with organic amendments is an important agricultural management *** 11-year field experiment(22 cropping periods)was carried out to analyze the impacts of different partial substitution treatments on crop yields and the transformation of nitrogen fractions in greenhouse vegetable *** treatments with equal N,P_(2)O_(5),and K_(2)O inputs were selected,including complete inorganic fertilizer N(CN),50%inorganic fertilizer N plus 50%pig manure N(CPN),50%inorganic fertilizer N plus 25%pig manure N and 25%corn straw N(CPsN),and 50%inorganic fertilizer N plus 50%corn straw N(CsN).Organic substitution treatments tended to increase crop yields since the 6th cropping period compared to the CN *** the 8th to the 22nd cropping periods,the highest yields were observed in the CPsN treatment where yields were 7.5-11.1%greater than in CN *** 11-year fertilization,compared to CN,organic substitution treatments significantly increased the concentrations of NO_(3)^(-)-N,NH_(4)^(+)-N,acid hydrolysis ammonium-N(AHAN),amino acid-N(AAN),amino sugar-N(AsN),and acid hydrolysis unknown-N(AHUN)in soil by 45.0-69.4,32.8-58.1,49.3-66.6,62.0-69.5,34.5-100.3,and 109.2-172.9%,*** analysis indicated that soil C/N and OC concentration significantly affected the distribution of N *** highest concentrations of NO_(3)^(-)-N,AHAN,AAN,AHUN were found in the CPsN *** substitution treatments increased the activities ofβ-glucosidase,β-cellobiosidase,N-acetyl-glucosamidase,L-aminopeptidase,and phosphatase in the *** substitution treatments reduced vector length and increased vector angle,indicating alleviation of constraints of C and N on soil *** substitution treatments increased the total concentrations of phospholipid fatty acids(PLFAs)in the soil by 109.9-205.3%,and increased the relative abundance of G^(+)bacteria and fungi taxa,but decreased the relat
