Mineralogical Characteristics and Short-wave Infrared Spectra of Chlorite as Indicators of Hydrothermal Centers: A Case Study of the Giant Porphyry Copper-Molybdenum Deposit at Qulong, Tibet

The Qulong deposit in Tibet is one of the largest porphyry copper-molybdenum deposits in China. We used short-wave infrared(SWIR) spectroscopy to examine the spectral characteristics of the extensively developed chlorite in this deposit. X-ray diffraction and electron microprobe analyses were used for phase identification and to obtain the chemical composition, ion substitution relationships, and formation environment of the chlorite. SWIR spectral parameters were applied to detect the hydrothermal centers. The results indicate that the wavelength of the absorption feature for Qulong chlorite Fe-OH(Pos2250) range from 2240 to 2268.4 nm;the chlorite substitution relationships are dominated by Mg-Fe substitution at the octahedral sites together with Al;-Si substitution at the tetrahedral sites;the chlorite formation temperatures range within the medium-low temperature hydrothermal alteration range from 164 to 281°C, with an average value of 264℃;the wavelength of the chlorite peak position for Fe-OH(2250 nm) absorption and its chemical composition are positively correlated with Al^(Ⅵ), Fe + Al^(Ⅵ), Fe/(Fe + Mg), Fe, and Fe + Al^(Ⅳ)but negatively correlated with Mg and Mg/(Fe + Mg);and the wavelength associated with the chlorite Fe-OH(2250 nm) absorption feature is positively correlated with the temperature at which the chlorite formed. These correlations indicate that more Fe and Al^(Ⅵ) ions and fewer Mg ions at the octahedral sites of chlorite lead to a longer the wavelength of the chlorite Fe-OH(2250 nm) absorption feature and a higher chlorite formation temperature. The wavelength of the Qulong chlorite Fe-OH(2250 nm) absorption feature(>2252 nm) can thus serve as an exploration indicator to guide the detection of hydrothermal centers in porphyry copper deposits. The results of the study indicate that the mineralogical and SWIR spectral characteristics of chlorite are significant indicators for locating hydrothermal centers within porphyry deposits.

4.1 Ga old detrital zircon in western Tibet of China

4.1 Ga old detrital zircon was found by SHRIMP U-Pb dating for quartz schist from Buring County in western Tibet, Southwest China. This is the oldest zircon U-Pb age found in China so far. The detrital zircon is a zircon of magmatic origin because its Th/ U ratios are 0.76 to 0.86. Two dates older than 4.0 Ga were measured only in one grain. U-Pb ages of 35 measured spots in 24 zircons can be subdivided into 6 groups, corresponding to at least 6 episodes of magmatic activity in the target area. The present results provide an important geochronological constraint on the geological evolution of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

Minimally invasive surgery vs laparotomy in patients with colon cancer residing in high-altitude areas

BACKGROUND Colon cancer is associated with a higher incidence among residents in highaltitude *** environment at high altitudes inhibits the phagocytic and oxygen-dependent killing function of phagocytes,thereby increasing the inflammatory factors,inhibiting the body’s innate immunity and increasing the risk of colon *** To examine the effect of minimally invasive surgery vs laparotomy in patients with colon cancer residing in high-altitude *** Ninety-two patients with colon cancer in our hospital from January 2019 to February 2021 were selected and divided into the minimally invasive surgery and laparotomy groups using the random number table method,with 46 patients in each *** invasive surgery was performed in the minimally invasive group and laparotomy in the laparotomy *** conditions,inflammatory index pre-and post-surgery,immune function index and complication probability were *** Operative duration was significantly longer and intraoperative blood loss and recovery time of gastrointestinal function were significantly less(all P<0.05)in the minimally invasive group than in the laparotomy *** number of lymph nodes dissected was not significantly *** surgery,there were no significant differences in serum C-reactive protein,interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-αlevels between the groups,whereas after surgery,the levels were significantly higher in the minimally invasive group(26.98±6.91 mg/L,146.38±11.23 ng/mL and 83.51±8.69 pg/mL vs 41.15±8.39 mg/L,186.79±15.36 ng/mL and 110.65±12.84 pg/mL,respectively,P<0.05).Furthermore,before surgery,there were no significant differences in CD3+,CD4+and CD4+/CD8+levels between the groups,whereas after surgery,the levels decreased in both groups,being significantly higher in the minimally invasive group(55.61%±4.39%,35.45%±3.67%and 1.30±0.35 vs 49.68%±5.33%,31.21%±3.25%and 1.13±0.30,respectively,P<0.05).Complication probability was significant

The Sinongduo mining region includes two types of mineralizations:the epithermal and the carbonate-hosted PbZn-Ag *** being studied for many years,the ore formation process and genesis of the carbonate-hosted Pb-Zn-Ag deposits remain poorly *** Pb-Zn-Ag ore bodies occur as veins and are hosted by limestone and dolostone of the Permian Xiala *** sulfide mineralization substages have been identified at the Sinongduo carbonatehosted *** coupled with Cu,Co and Sn was incorporated into sphalerite as substitutions:2Zn^(2+)?Cu^(+)+In^(3+),(3n/2+1)Zn^(2+)?Co^(2+)+n In^(3+)or(2n+1)Zn^(2+)?Co^(2+)+n(Cu^(+)+In^(3+))(n>1)and 4Zn^(2+)?Sn2++2In^(3+).Sphalerite and pyrite in the mineralization stage displayδ^(34)S values in a narrow range of+5.7‰to+11.3‰,which are similar to those of Palaeocene igneous rocks,indicative of a magmatic source of *** present systematic carbon-hydrogen-oxygen isotope results that further support a magmatic source for the ore-forming fluids that were influenced by meteoric ***,the Pb isotope compositions of sulfide minerals in the Sinongduo carbonate-hosted deposit overlap with the values of coeval Linzizong volcanic rocks and are similar to those of Indian Ocean sediments,indicating upper crustal sources of *** conclude that the Sinongduo carbonate-hosted Pb-Zn-Ag deposit is a medium-to low-temperature magmatic-hydrothermal deposit related to Linzizong magmatism.

BACKGROUND Chromosome i(17)(q10)abnormality is mainly associated with chronic myeloid leukemia(CML),myelodysplastic syndrome/myeloproliferative tumors(MDS/MPD),and acute myeloid leukemia(AML).The role of i(17)(q10)in AML is still unknown,the differences between AML and acute promyelocytic leukemia(APL)-like AML with i(17)(q10)need more *** study aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics and laboratory evidence of 2 AML cases with i(17)(q10),similar to APL *** SUMMARY Both pediatric patients were males;case 1 had newly diagnosed AML,and case 2 showed relapsed tumor after 1 year of drug *** marrow cell morphology,chromosome karyotype analysis,Fully-instrumented submersible housing test,immunological assays,molecular biological methods,and blood tumor panoramic gene test were ***-trans retinoic acid(ATRA)combined with arsenic acid(As2O3)were used in the first course of *** marrow was dominated by abnormal promyelocytic *** test revealed i(17)(q10)*** phenotype mainly included positive expressions of CD9,CD13,CD33,and *** 1 suffered intracranial hemorrhage after re-chemotherapy and died on *** case 2,on D145 and D265,bone marrow promyelocytic granulocytes accounted for 2%.Flow cytometric residual lesion detection showed no abnormal immunophenotype *** copy number of WT1 gene in two cases were 1087 and 1010,respectively,and the expression rates were 55.29% and 59.5%,*** ATRA,As2O3,and chemotherapy may be ineffective in treating APL-like AML with i(17)(q10)but without t(15;17)and PML-RARA fusion gene.

Detrital Zircon of 4100 Ma in Quartzite in Burang,Tibet

A detrital zircon aged 4.1 Ga is discovered by the SHRIMP U-Pb method in a quartzite in Burang County, western Tibet. This is presently the oldest single-grain detrital zircon in China. The Th-U ratios of the two testing points of the 〉4.0 Ga zircon are between 0.76 and 0.86, indicating their magmatic origin. This discovery has offered an important age for investigating the geological evolution of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

ASSOCIATION BETWEEN PEMPHIGUS VULGARIS AND HUMAN LEUKOCYTE ANTIGEN IN HAN NATION OF NORTHEAST CHINA

Objective To investigate the relationship between pemphigus vulgaris （PV） and human leukocyte antigen （HLA） in Han nation of northeast China. Mothods Standard microcytotoxicity test and polymerase chain reaction-sequence specific primers method were used to detect the HLA class Ⅰ antigens and HLA-DRBI and DQBI alleles in 27 patients with PV and results were compared with control group. Gene and phenotype frequencies of HLA-A3, A26（10）, B60（40）, and B13 （27.99%, 48%; 16.11%, 30%; 23.02%, 41%; 16.11%, 30%, respectively） increased significantly in PV group compared with control （1.01%, 2%; 0.5%, 1%; 4.61%, 9%; 5,13%, 10%, respectively）. After P value correction, the difference of A3, A26 （10）, and B60 （40） between the two groups was still significant. The gene frequencies of HLA-DRB 1^＊ 140x （1401, 1404, 1405, 1407, 1408）, DRBI^＊I20x, and DQBI＊0503 alleles in PV group （42.26%, 25.46%, and 23.02%） were significantly higher than control group （5.09%, 7.74%, and 1.89%）. After P value correction, the difference was still significant between the two groups. Collusion PV significantly relates with HLA in PV patients of Han nation of northeast China.

AIM:To compare the bacterial flora in palpebral conjunctiva of xerophthalmia seniors of Tibetan,Yi and Han,and analyze the differences and similarities of the bacteria.·METHODS:The test subjects were selected from 2Tibetan,2 Yi and 3 Han populated places,*** 222 seniors(444 eyes) with dry eye were *** was collected from the palpebral conjunctiva of the subjects and then inoculated onto a blood agar *** 48h of incubation,the bacteria were examined for the differences and similarities between different ethnics.·RESULTS:There was no significant difference(P >0.05)of Gram stain characterization,dominant bacteria and number of the bacterial species present in oxrophthalmia patients among Tibetan,Yi and Han *** bacteria presented in all groups include staphylococcus epidermidis,corynebacterium,micrococcus luteu,int-racellular bacteria sphingomonas,pseudomonas *** bacteria detected from the two of three ethnic groups were staphylococcus aureus,staphylococcus haemolyticus,escherichia coli,kytococcus sedentarius,streptococcus angina,micrococcus lylae,and staphy-lococcus *** incidence rate of bacteria-associated dry eye in Tibetan population was significantly lower than that of Han and Yi population.·CONCLUSION:There is no significant difference in the bacteria flora of palpebral conjunctiva observed among dry eye elder populations of Tibetan,Yi and Han *** of staphylococcus epidermidis,corynebacterium,micrococcus luteu,intracellular bacteria sphingomonas,pseudomonas aeruginosa,staphylococcus aureus,staphylococcus haemolyticus,escherichia coli,kytococcus sedentarius,streptococcus angina,micrococcus lylae and staphylococcus heads are common bacteria flora of the three nationalities inhibiting in this area.
