The high-temperature oxidation resistance of the nickel superalloy grown by the Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) has been significantly incre.s.d as a result of in-situ formation of a thermal barrier layer (α-Al2O3+ CaMoO4) during oxidative annealing of surface laye.s.modified by electric spark treatment (esT). The reactive esT of the LPBF-built ite.s.based on nickel eP741NP alloy was carried out with low-melting Al-12%si， Al-6%Ca-0.6%si and Al-7%Ca-1%Mn electrodes. It was found that at esT done by Al-7%Ca-1%Mn electrode an intermetallic (β-NiAl + γ’-Ni3Al) 15 microns thick layer reinforced by spherical oxide (CaMe)O nanoparticles was formed. Formation of that structure incre.s.s the wear resistance of LPBF nickel superalloy by 4.5 times. Further oxidative annealing at 1000 °C lead to a formation of continuous two-layered coating with an inner layer of α-Al2O3and an outer layer of CaMoO4， which together act as an effective barrier preventing the diffusion of oxygen into the volume of the.s.peralloy.

We investigated the emission properties of eu3+-doped GdNbO4-based oxide phosphors,aiming at improving the eu3+emission by codoping of Bi3+and Li+.eu3+singly doped,eu3+and Bi3+doubly doped,and eu3+,Bi3+,and Li+triply doped GdNbO4were prepared using a high-temperature.s.lid-state reaction *** red-orange emissions from eu3+in the.s.ngly doped samples are.s.gnificantly improved by the codoping of Bi3+,mainly due to the energy transfer from Bi3+to eu3+.The additional codoping of Li+is found to incre.s. the eu3+emission *** improvement might be attributed to the incre.s. in the photoluminescent quantum yield originating from larger grain sizes and better crystallinity.A detailed analysis of the X-ray diffraction pattern and the asymmetric ratio estimated from the photoluminescence.s.ectra show that the local lattice environment around eu3+in GdNbO4does not change.s.gnificantly with the codoping of Bi3+and Li+.Our results indicate that Li+doping is a promising way to improve the emission properties of rare-earth ion-doped GdNbO4phosphors.

In this study,a calcium-phosphate coating was formed on a Mg-Mn-Ce alloy by the plasma electrolytic oxidation(PeO).The antibiotic vancomycin,widely used in the treatment of infections caused by staphylococcus aure.s.***),was impregnated into the *** with vancomycin showed high bactericidal activity against *** mechanical and electrochemical properties of the formed coatings were.s.udied,as well as in vitro cytotoxicity tests and in vivo tests on mature male rats were *** to seM,e.s.XRD and XPs data,coatings had a developed morphology and contained hydroxyapatite,which indicates high *** analysis of roughne.s.of coatings without and with vancomycin did not reveal any differences,confirming the high roughne.s.of the *** electrochemical tests,an incre.s. in corrosion resistance by more than two times after the application of PeO coatings was *** to the results of an in vivo study,after 28 days of the implantation of samples with calcium phosphate PeO coating and vancomycin,no signs of inflammation were observed,while an inflammatory reaction developed in the area of implantation of bare alloy,followed by *** rele.s. tests from the coatings show a sharp decre.s. in the concentration of the rele.s.d antibiotic on day 7 and then a gradual decre.s. until day *** the experiment,no significant deviations in the condition and behavior of the animals were observed;clinical tests did not reveal a systemic toxic reaction.

Tight focusing with very small f-numbe.s.is nece.s.ry to achieve the highest at-focus ***,tight focusing imposes strong demands on precise target positioning in-focus to achieve the highest on-target irradiance We describe.s.veral near-infrared,visible,ultraviolet and soft and hard X-ray diagnostics employed in a~10^(22)W/cm^(2)laser±plasma *** used nearly 10 J total energy femtosecond laser pulses focused into an approximately1.3-μm focal spot on 5±20μm thick stainle.s.steel *** discuss the applicability of these diagnostics to determine the best in-focus target position with approximately 5μm accuracy(i.e.,around half of the.s.ort Rayleigh length)and show that several diagnostics(in particular,3ωreflection and on-axis hard X-rays)can e.s.re this *** demonstrated target positioning within several micromete.s.from the focus,e.s.ring over 80%of the ideal peak laser inte.s.ty *** approach is relatively fast(it requires 10±20 laser shots)and does not rely on the coincidence of low-power and high-power focal planes.
