Clinical features and determinants of VO_(2peak) in de novo heart transplant recipients

AIM To study exercise capacity and determinants of early peak oxygen consumption(VO_(2peak)) in a cohort of de novo heart transplant(HTx) recipients. METHODS To determine possible central(chronotropic responses, cardiopulmonary and hemodynamic function) and peripheral factors(muscular exercise capacity and body composition) predictive of VO_(2peak), a number of different measurements and tests were performed, as follows: Cardiopulmonary exercise testing(CPET) was performed mean 11 wk after surgery in 81 HTx recipients > 18 years and was measured with breath by breath gas exchange on a treadmill or bicycle ergometer. Metabolic/respiratory measures include VO_(2peak) and VE/VCO2 slope. Additional measures included muscle strength testing, bioelectrical impedance analysis, echocardiography, blood sampling and health-related quality of life. Based on the VO_(2peak)(mL/kg per minute) median value, the study population was divided into two groups defined as a low-capacity group and a high-capacity group. Potential predictors were analyzed using multiple regression analysis with VO_(2peak)(L/min) as the dependent *** The mean ± standard deviation(SD) age of the total study population was 49 ± 13 years, and 73% were men. This de novo HTx cohort demonstrated a median VO_(2peak) level of 19.4 mL/kg per min at 11 ± 1.8 wk postHTx. As compared with the high-capacity group, the low-capacity group exercised for a shorter time, had lower maximal ventilation, O_2 pulse, peak heart rate and heart rate reserve, while the VE/VCO_2 slope was higher. The low-capacity group had less muscle strength and muscular exercise capacity in comparison with the highcapacity group. In order of importance, O_2 pulse, heart rate reserve, muscular exercise capacity, body mass index, gender and age accounted for 84% of the variance in VO_(2peak)(L/min). This article presents and analyses the modular architecture and capabilities of CODE-DE(Copernicus Data and Exploitation Platform–Deutschland,***),the integrated German operational environment for accessing and processing Copernicus data and products,as well as the methodology to establish and operate the *** March 2017,CODE-DE has been online with access to Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 data,to Sentinel-3 data shortly after this time,and since March 2019 with access to Sentinel-5P *** products are available and accessed by 1,682 registered users as of March *** this period 654,895 products were downloaded and a global catalogue was continuously updated,featuring a data volume of 814 TByte based on a rolling archive concept supported by a reload mechanism from a long-term *** November 2017,the element for big data processing has been operational,where registered users can process and analyse data themselves specifically assisted by methods for value-added product *** 195,467 core and 696,406 memory hours,982,948 products of different applications were fully automatically generated in the cloud environment and made available as of March *** features include an improved visualization of available Sentinel-2 products,which are presented within the catalogue client at full 10 m resolution.

Background： The pregnancy outcome of the unicornuate uterus is associated with an increased risk of miscarriage, cervical incompetence, and a number of obstetric complications. However, at present, there is no accepted treatment method for women with unicornuate uterus, other than expectant measures. The aim of this study was to evaluate the reproductive outcome of transcervical uterine incision （TCUI） in patients with unicornuate uterus. Methods： Thirty-three patients with unicoruuate uterus presented to our tertiary center tbr infertility or miscarriage. All 33 patients underwent TCUI and were followed up for 10-52 months. The pregnancy outcomes （first-trimester miscarriage, second-trimester miscarriage, preterm, term, intrauterine death, ongoing pregnancy, and live birth） before and after TCUI were compared by t-test. Results： Among 31 patients who attempted to conceive alter TCUI, twenty conceived including one terufination of pregnancy, one second-trimester miscarriage, one ectopic pregnancy, five preterm deliveries, 11 term delivery, and one ongoing pregnancy. There were 16 live births in total. There was significant reduction in the first-trimester miscarriage rate （t = 4.890; P 〈 0.001 ）, increase in term delivery （t = -3.288; P =0.002）, and live birth rates （t = -4.073; P 〈 0.001 ） after TCUI. Conclusion： TCUI appeared to improve the pregnancy outcome in women with unicoruuate uterus presenting with infertility or miscarriage.

We present the structural,morphological and photocatalytic properties of stretchable composites made with carbon nanotubes (CNTs),silicon rubber and Ni@TiO_(2):W nanoparticles(TiWNi NPs) with average size of 37±2 *** images showed that the TiWNi NPs decorated the surface of the CNT fibers,which are oriented in a preferential *** NPs presented a mixture of anatase/rutile phases with cubic *** performance of the TiWNi powders and stretchable composites was evaluated for the photocatalytic degradation of diclofenac (DCF) anti-inflammatory drug under ultraviolet-visible *** results revealed that the maximum DCF degradation percentages were 34.6%,91.9%,97.1%,98.5%and 100%for the CNT composite (stretched at 0%),TiWNi powders,CNT+TiWNi(stretched at 0%),CNT+TiWNi (stretched at 50%) and CNT+TiWNi (stretched at 100%),***,stretching the CNT+TiWNi composites was a good strategy to enhance the DCF degradation percentage from 97.1%to 100%,since stretching created additional defects (oxygen vacancies) that acted as electron sink,delaying the electron-hole recombination,and favors the DCF ***/absorbance measurements confirmed the presence of such ***,the reactive oxygen species (ROS) were determined by the scavenger’s experiments and found that the main ROS were the·OH and O_(2)-radicals,which attacked the DCF molecules,causing their *** results of this investigation confirmed that the stretchable CNT/TiWNi-based composites are a viable alternative to remove pharmaceutical contaminants from water and can be manually separated from the decontaminated water,which is unviable using photocatalytic powders.

In the present work,a multi-element nanoglass(m-NG)of FeCoCrMoCBY is obtained first time by the laser ablation combined with inert gas condensation(laser-IGC)*** with the conventional rapid-quenched metallic glass(MG)with identical composition,the Fe-based m-NG demonstrates a superior performance as a self-supported electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)in acidic *** enhanced HER activity of m-NG is proposed to be closely related to its high en-ergy states,which is originated from the unique inhomogeneous nanostructures with a high density of low-coordinated ***,the Fe-based m-NG exhibits an outstanding comprehensive catalytic performance even beyond the commercial Pt/C catalyst in long-term test due to its self-optimization *** work not only opens the way to the preparation of m-NGs by the novel laser-IGC technique,but also makes a great contribution to developing low-cost,high-efficient,and super-durable HER electrocat-alysts in acidic environment.

Aims Studies that investigate the space-filling heterogeneity of biological struc-tures in plant communities remain *** main objective of this study was to evaluate the relationship between newly developed photo-graphic measures of structural heterogeneity in digital images and plant species composition in the context of a long-term grassland *** We tested a close-range photographic protocol using measures of structural heterogeneity in gray-tone images,namely mean infor-mation gain(MIG)and spatial anisotropy,to assess differences in the compositional(species richness)and functional characteristics(plant height and flowering)of 78 managed grassland *** also implemented a random placement model of community assembly to explore the links between our measures of structural complexity and the geometric pattern of plant *** Findings MIG and spatial anisotropy correlated with the growth and species richness of grassland *** showed that struc-tural heterogeneity in gray-tone digital images is a function of the size distribution and orientation pattern of plant *** easy,fast and non-destructive methodological approach could eventually serve to monitor the diversity and integrity of various ecosystems at different resolutions across space and time.

BACKGROUND The rate of positive tests using fecal immunochemical test(FIT)does not decrease with subsequent campaigns,but the positive predictive value of advanced neoplasia significantly decreases in subsequent campaign after a first negative test.A relationship between the fecal hemoglobin concentration(Fhb)and the opportunity to detect a colorectal cancer in subsequent campaign has been *** To predict the severity of colorectal lesions based on Fhb measured during previous colorectal cancer screening *** This etiological study included 293750 patients aged 50-74,living in Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes(France).These patients completed at least two FIT[test_((-1))and test_((0))]between June 2015 and December *** between test_((-1))and test_((0))was>1year and test_((-1))result was negative(en the severity classified in seven ordinal categories and the predictive factors was analyzed in an ordered multivariate polytomous regression *** The test_((0))positive rate was 4.0%,and the colonoscopy completion rate was 97.1%in 11594 patients who showed a positive test_((0)).The colonoscopy detection rate was 77.7%in those 11254 patients who underwent a colonoscopy.A total of 8748 colorectal lesions were detected(including 2182 low-risk-polyps,2400 high-riskpolyp,and 502 colorectal cancer).The colonoscopy detection rate varied significantly with Fhb_((-1))[0 ngHb/mL:75.6%,(0-50 ngHb/mL):77.3%,(50-100 ngHb/mL):88.7%,(100-150 ngHb/mL):90.3%;P=0.001].People with a Fhb_((-1))within(100-150 ngHb/mL)(P=0.001)were 2.6(2.2;3.0)times more likely to have a high severity level compared to those having a Fhb_((-1))value of *** risk was reduced by 20%in patients aged 55-59 compared to those aged<55[adjusted odds ratio:0.8(0.6;1.0)].CONCLUSION The study showed that higher Fhb_((-1))is correlated to
