Background The initiation and expansion of China＇s national free antiretroviral therapy.program has led to significant improvement of survival among its participants. Success of further scaling up treatment coverage rests upon intensify.ng HIV screening and efficient linkage of care. Timely.CD4 cell count testing after HIV diagnosis is necessary.to determine whether a patient meets criteria for antiretroviral treatment, and represents a crucial link to engage HIV-infected patients in appropriate care, which has not been evaluated in *** We evaluated all patients ≥16 y.ars who tested HIV positive from 2005 to 2009 in y.nnan and *** Logistic regression models were applied to identify.factors associated with lack of CD4 cell count testing within 6 months after HIV *** A total of 83 556 patients were included. Over the study.period, 30 635 （37%） of subjects received a CD4 cell count within 6 months of receiving the HIV diagnosis. The rate of CD4 cell count testing within 6 months of HIV diagnosis increased significantly.from 7% in 2005 to 62% in 2009. Fast-track program vs traditional care in surgery.for gastric cancer

Archean-Paleoproterozoic Lithospheric Mantle at the Northern Margin of the North China Craton Represented by.Tectonically.Exhumed Peridotites

Tectonically.emplaced peridotites from North Hebei Province, North China Craton, have retained an original harzburgite mineral assemblage of olivine （54%-58%）＋ orthopy.oxene （40%-46%）＋minor clinopy.oxene （〈1%）＋spinel. Samples with honinite-like chemical compositions also coexist with these peridotites. The spinels within the peridotites have high-A1 end-members with A1203 content of 30 wt%-50 wt%, ty.ical of mantle spinels. When compared with experimentally.determined melt extraction trajectories, the harzburgites display.a high degree of melting and enrichment of SiO2, which is ty.ical of cratonic mantle peridotites. The peridotites display.variably.enriched light rare earth elements （REEs）, relatively.depleted middle REEs and weakly.fractionated heavy.REEs, which suggest a melt extraction of over 25% in the spinel stability.field. The occurrence of are- and SSZ-ty.e chromian spinels in the peridotites suggests that melt extraction and metasomatism occurred mostly.in a subduction-related setting. This is also supported by.the geochemical data of the coexisting boninite-like samples. The peridotites have lS7Os/lSSOs ratios ranging from 0.113-0.122, which is ty.ical of cratonic iithospheric mantle. These lSTOs/ISSOs ratios y.eld model melt extraction ages （TRD） ranging from 981 Ma to 2054 Ma, which may.represent the minimum estimation of the melt extraction age. The Ai203- lSTOs/lSSOs-proxy.isochron ages of 2.4 Ga-2.7 Ga suggest a mantle melt depletion age between the Late Achaean and Early.Paleoproterozoic. Both the peridotites and boninite-like rocks are therefore interpreted as tectonically.exhumed continental lithospheric mantle of the North China Craton, which has experienced mantle melt depletion and subduction-related mantle metasomatism during the Neoarchean- Paleoproterozoic.

Stand age structural dy.amics of conifer, mixedwood, and hardwood stands in the boreal forest of central Canada

To study.the effects of stand development and overstory.composition on stand age structure, we sampled 32 stands representing conifer, mixedwood, and hardwood stand ty.es, ranging in ages from 72 to 201 y.ars on upland mesic sites in northwestern Ontario. We defined the stages of stand development as: stem exclusion/canopy.transition, canopy.transition, canopy.transition/gap dy.amics, and gap dy.amics. Stand age structure of conifer stands changed from bimodal, bimodal, reverse-J, and bimodal, respectively. through the stages of stand development. Mixedwood and hardwood stands revealed similar trends, with the exception of missing the canopy.transition/gap dy.amic stage in mixedwoods. Canopy.transition/gap dy.amic stage in hardwoods showed a weaker reverse-J distribution than their conifer counterparts. The results suggest that forest management activities such as partial and selection harvesting and seed-tree sy.tems may.diversify.standard landscape-level age structures and benefit wildlife, hasten the onset of old-growth, and create desired stand age structures. We also recommend that the determination of old-growth using the following criteria in the boreal forest: 1) canopy.breakdown of pioneering cohort is complete and stand is dominated by.later successional tree species, and 2) stand age structure is bimodal, with dominating canopy.trees that fall within a relatively.narrow range of age and height classes and a significant amount of understory.regeneration.
