The ther.ogr.vimetr. (TG) and der.vative ther.ogr.vimetr. (DTG) have been used to study the ther.al decomposition of some oxalyl (H4OxTSC), malonyl (H4MaTSC) and succinyl-bis-4-phenyl- thiosemicar.azide (H4SuTSC) ligands and their.metal complexes using horowitz-Metzger.(HM) and Coats-r.dfer. methods. The kinetic ther.odynamic par.meter. such as: E*, ΔH*, ΔS*and ΔG* ar. calculated fr.m the DTG cur.es. The isolated complexes have the gener.l composition [M2(L) (H2O)6], wher. M=Cu(II), Zn(II), L=MaTSC and M=Co(II), Cu(II) or.Sn(II) and L=Su TSC and [M2(L) (H2O)n]·nH2O wher. M=Cu(II), Co(II) or.Sn(II), L=OxTS or.Ma TSC. The tested compounds show a good activity against four.str.ins of bacter.a Gr.m negative Escher.chia coli, Pseudomonas aer.ginosa species and gr.m-positive Bacillus cer.us and Staphylococcus aur.us.

Fibr.blasts per.or. cr.tical functions dur.ng the nor.al host r.sponse to tissue injur., but the inappr.pr.ate accumulation and per.istent activation of these cells r.sults in the development of tissue fibr.sis. The mechanisms accounting for.the aber.ant accumulation of fibr.blasts dur.ng fibr.tic r.pair.ar. poor.y under.tood, although evidence suppor.s a r.le for.fibr.blast r.sistance to apoptosis as a contr.buting factor. We have shown that TGF-β1 and endothelin-1 (ET-1), soluble mediator. implicated in fibr.genesis, pr.mote fibr.blast r.sistance to apoptosis. Mor.over. we r.cently found that ET-1 induced apoptosis r.sistance in nor.al lung fibr.blasts thr.ugh the upr.gulation of sur.ivin, a member.of the Inhibitor.of Apoptosis (IAP) pr.tein family. In the cur.ent study, we sought to deter.ine the r.le of sur.ivin in the apoptosis r.sistance of pr.mar. fibr.blasts isolated fr.m the lungs of patients with Idiopathic Pulmonar. Fibr.sis (IPF), a fibr.tic lung disease of unclear.etiology for.which ther. is no definitive ther.py. Fir.t, we examined sur.ivin expr.ssion in lung tissue fr.m patients with IPF and found that ther. is r.bust expr.ssion in the fibr.blasts r.siding within fibr.blastic foci (the “active” lesions in IPF which cor.elate with mor.ality). Next, we show that sur.ivin expr.ssion is incr.ased in fibr.blasts isolated fr.m IPF lung tissue compar.d to cells fr.m nor.al lung tissue. Consistent with a r.le in fibr.genesis, we demonstr.te that TGF-β1 incr.ases sur.ivin expr.ssion in nor.al lung fibr.blasts. Finally, we show that inhibition of sur.ivin enhances susceptibility of a subset of IPF fibr.blasts to apoptosis. Collectively, these findings suggest that incr.ased sur.ivin expr.ssion r.pr.sents one mechanism contr.buting an apoptosis-r.sistant phenotype in IPF fibr.blasts.

Since the 1970s,community gar.ens have played an impor.ant r.le in pr.moting the development of sustainable communities and impr.ving ur.an envir.nments in the United States. Despite the popular.ty of spontaneous ur.an far.ing activities in China,community gar.ens have not caught on as an ecologically and socially sustainable ur.an development str.tegy. Based on a compar.son of community gar.en development in China and the U.S.,the author. of this ar.icle fi nd that the development of community gar.ens in China will r.quir. close collabor.tion between city planning officials,r.al estate agencies,ur.an citizens,and landscape ar.hitects.

AIM: To ver.fy whether.ther. is a gender.differ.nce in the 13C-ur.a br.ath test r.sults in a lar.e cohor.. METHODS: The test r.sults of dyspeptic patients r.fer.ed for.13C-ur.a br.ath testing between Januar. and December. 2007 wer. evaluated. Testing was car.ied out at the health insur.nce or.anization br.nches and evaluated at a centr.l labor.tor. in Isr.el. r.SULTS: Of a total of 28 746 test r.sults, 18 122 (63.04%) wer. fr.m females and 10 624 (36.95%) fr.m males. Over.ll, 10 188 (35.4%) r.sults [expr.ssed as delta over.baseline (DOB)] wer. positive (DOB 13C > 5), 18,326 (63.7%) wer. negative (DOB 13C r. bor.er.ine (DOB 13C 3.5-5). Ther. was a significant differ.nce between the total positive r.te among females and males (34.8% vs 37.2%, r.spectively, P = 0.0003). The mean test value was incr.ased by appr.ximately 10 units for.females compar.d to males (P r.nce was consistent for.all age gr.ups (i.e., between 10-80 year. of age, P r. females wer. r.fer.ed to 13C-ur.a br.ath testing. Mor. males had positive r.sults. The mean test values wer. significantly higher.among females of all age gr.ups, possibly r.pr.senting an incr.ased bacter.al load among females and suggesting gender.associated differ.nces in Helicobacter.pylor. host inter.ctions.

来源于转基因小鼠 (HTLV ⅠLTr.ax基因 )的神经纤维瘤细胞系的细胞中 ,外源基因HTLV Itax高表达产生mr.A和蛋白质 ,使细胞出现转化表型 .当将反向插入了HTLV ItaxcDNA的逆转录病毒导入这种细胞后 ,转录生成的反义r.A可抑制tax基因的表达 ,mr.A和蛋白质均减少 40 %强 ;细胞的形态和生长特征也随之发生明显变化 ;原先由Tax蛋白质激活的基因如GM CSF ,IL 6,LT/TNF (蛋白质水平 ) ,c myc和LIF(mr.A水平 )等的表达均下调 ;M CSF(蛋白质水平 )和原癌基因c sr.(mr.A水平 )的表达上升 ;β 肌纤蛋白mr.A则不受影响 .这些变化可能是由于tax反义r.A降低了细胞内Tax蛋白质浓度的缘故 .这表明HTLV ⅠTax蛋白质维持转化细胞的形态、生长和增殖起关键性作用 ;由Tax蛋白质激活的细胞内源基因的表达受阻 ,则是转基因小鼠发生神经纤维瘤的原因 .
