To control capillary bleeding, surgeons may use absorbable hemostatic agents, such as Surgicel® and TachoSil®. Due to their slow resorption, their persistence in situ can have a negative impact on tissue repair in the resected organ. To avoid complications and obtain a hemostatic agent that promotes tissue repair, a zinc-supplemented calcium alginate compress was developed: HEMO-IONIC®. This compress is non-absorbable and is therefore removed once hemostasis has been achieved. After demonstrating the hemostatic efficacy and stability of the blood clot obtained with HEMO-IONIC, the impact of Surgicel, TachoSil, and HEMO-IONIC on cell activation and tissue repair were compared (i) in vitro on endothelial cells, which are essential to tissue repair, and (ii) in vivo in a mouse skin excision model. In vitro, only HEMO-IONIC maintained the phenotypic and functional properties of endothelial cells and induced their migration. In comparison, Surgicel was found to be highly cytotoxic, and TachoSil inhibited endothelial cell migration. In vivo, only HEMO-IONIC increased angiogenesis, the recruitment of cells essential to tissue repair (macrophages, fibroblasts, and epithelial cells), and accelerated maturation of the extracellular matrix. These results demonstrate that a zinc-supplemented calcium alginate, HEMO-IONIC, applied for 10 min at the end of surgery and then removed has a long-term positive effect on all phases of tissue repair.

Graphene quantum dots(GQDs)which are nanofragments of graphene with an average size between 2 and 50 nm have attracted much attention due to their outstanding properties such as high conductivity,high surface area,and good solubility in various solvents.GQDs combine the quantum confinement and edges effects and the properties of graphene.Therefore,GQDs offers a broad range of applications in various fields(medicine,energy conversion,and energy storage devices).This review will present the recent research based on the introduction of GQDs in batteries,supercapacitors,and microsupercapacitors as electrodes materials or mixed with an active material as an auxiliary agent.Tables,discussed on selected examples,summarize the electrochemical performances and finally,challenges and perspectives are recalled for the subsequent optimization strategy of electrode materials.This review is expected to appeal a broad interest on functional GQDs materials and promote the further development of high-performance energy storage device.

Background:Tobacco consumption is more life-threatening in people living with human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)than within the general population;therefore,people living with HIV(PLWH)should be highly motivated to take action towards quitting smoking at or after HIV diagnosis.The aim of this systematic review with meta-analysis was to investigate changes in smoking habits among PLWH over time.Main text:We considered prospective and retrospective cohort studies including PLWH aged 15 years and above,which have measured the prevalence of tobacco smoking(current,former or never)at study initiation and completion,and published between January 1,2000 and April 15,2018 without language or geographical restriction.We searched PubMed,EMBASE,Web of Science,Africa Journal Online,and Global Index Medicus.We used a random-effects model to pool data.Nine studies were included.The proportion of current and former smokers decreased slightly over time,around 2.5 and 3.8%,respectively.However,the proportion of never smokers decreased sharply by 22.5%,and there were 2.1 and 1.5%PLWH who shifted from never and former smoking to current smoking,respectively.On the other hand,10.5%PLWH shifted from current to former smoking,7.1%tried to quit tobacco consumption but failed,and 10.1%stayed in the"never smoking"category over time.Conclusions:PLWH seem not to change positively their smoking habits towards quitting tobacco consumption.There is urgent need to increase actions aimed at helping this vulnerable population to quit tobacco consumption,including individually tailored therapeutic education,psychosocial and pharmacologic supports.

在多年直接支付医疗保健费用以后,包括加纳、肯尼亚和卢旺达在内的一些非洲国家,通过高质量的医疗保险和医疗保健,建立了公共卫生保护计划,特别是针对穷人的医疗保健。然而在过去的十年中,加受国家健康保险局（NHIA）控制的加纳国家健康保险计划（NHIS）在可持续性,准确、及时的年度统计报告方面正面临着许多问题,导致其无法实现全民医保（UHC）的共同目标。本研究旨在评估国家健康保险方案的效率,首先介绍国家健康保险方案相关概念,然后分析国家健康保险局（NHIA）自创建以来的各种职能及其资金来源,并明确了健康保险方案面临的一些主要挑战及其现状。通过对健康保险相关文献的分析确定了用于解决各种健康保险问题的方法,数据来自于国家健康保险局（NHIA）和加纳卫生部（MoH）数据库。本研究有助于促使NHIA能够开发一个可持续发展的系统,可以有效地提高NHIS的质量并监管其监督下的各个机构。本文运用复杂网络系统将国家健康保险局（NHIA）分成四个主要区域（北部、南部、东部和西部地区）,并根据国家健康保险局（NHIA）的设施数量分组（医院、诊所、药房、政府拨款）,通过使用UCINET、Netdraw软件,对转诊病人数、专业人员数和资金数量进行加权。在具体网络分析中,我们采用接近平均值、信息中心度和特征值来确定哪个地区比其他地区更有效。利用R软件进行回归分析,对各区域内的专业人员数、资金和转诊病人数进行研究,并对整个国家健康保险局（NHIA）网络模型进行评估。研究结果显示,专业人员数量和资金的影响在一些地区不显著。然而,在整个NHIA网络中资金来源影响不显著,总体分析却表明专业人员数量对NHIA网络有正向影响;国家健康保险局（NHIA）网络内存在积极的信息流动,促进了该网络内转诊病人数量。资金数量的影响不显著是因为国家健康保险局（NHIA）的首要目标是满足用户的满意度并降低治疗费用。事实仍然是,要实现一个国家的国民健康保险计划的效率,主要通过对相关资源的大量投资以及大量医疗保健专业人员的可获得性来实现。根据研究结果提出了一些建议,包括建立更强大的支出控制系统以实现长期可持续性,扩大健康保险计划配套并建立可以计算机化系统以有效控制并防止服务提供商提出的索赔要求膨胀。

The development of alternative electrode materials with high energy densities and power densities for batteries has been actively pursued to satisfy the power demands for electronic devices and hybrid electric vehicles. Recently, antimony（Sb）-based intermetallic compounds have attracted considerable research interests as new candidate anode materials for high-performance lithium-ion batteries（LIBs） and sodium-ion batteries（SIBs） due to their high theoretical capacity and suitable operating voltage. However, these intermetallic systems undergo large volume change during charge and discharge processes, which prohibits them from practical application. The rational construction of advanced anode with unique structures has been proved to be an effective approach to enhance its electrochemical performance. This review highlights the recent progress in improving and understanding the electrochemical performances of various Sb-based intermetallic compound anodes. The developments of synthesis and construction of Sb-based intermetallic compounds are systematically summarized. The electrochemical performances of various Sb-based intermetallic compound anodes are compared in its typical applications（LIBs or SIBs）.

Nodular fasciitis is a benign reactive soft tissue tumor arising from fibroblasts and myofibroblasts.Its incidence is low and misdiagnosis is frequent especially for malignant lesions.This can lead to inappropriate and unnecessary invasive treatment.Nodular fasciitis of the external auditory canal is extremely rare.So far,around fifteen cases have been reported.We present here the case of a 90-year-old patient with nodular fasciitis of the right external auditory canal.The lesion extends anteriorly for 6.5 cm and reaches the posterior wall of the maxillary sinus.To our knowledge,this is the first case in the literature of an external auditory canal nodular fasciitis presenting as an inflammatory ear polyp with such a wide extension.

There is a surge in the burden of cardiovascular disease(CVD)in Sub-Saharan African(SSA)countries.Over the last 50 years there has been a rapid growth in the consumption of ultra-processed food products high in salt,fat,and glycemic load in SSA.There is overwhelming evidence linking UPFP consumption to an increased risk of coronary artery disease,cerebrovascular disease,overall CVD,and all-cause mortality.Front-of-pack labeling(FOPL)represents an important intervention to guide consumers towards healthier diets and ultimately contribute to the prevention of diet-related adverse health outcomes including CVD.This paper discusses the challenges in the development and implementation of FOPL systems in SSA,and proposes some key elements that would be critical for developing an effective FOPL system in SSA countries.

The oxidation of porous Ni-yttria-stabilized zirconia(YSZ)and Ni-gadolinia-doped ceria(GDC)ceramicmetal(cermet)electrodes in H_(2)O and CO_(2)atmospheres was studied by near-ambient pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(NAP-XPS).We show that the oxidation of nickel by the two gases is not similar,as is commonly believed,but it depends on the ceramic type.Nickel is vulnerable to oxidation in H_(2)O but it resists to CO_(2)in Ni-GDC,as compared to the Ni-YSZ electrode.Inspired by this observation we conceptualize and fabricate Ni-YSZ electrodes modified by ceria nanoparticles,which show significantly higher resistance to CO_(2)oxidation as compared with conventional Ni-YSZ electrodes.The preparation of tailormade cermet electrodes with identical bulk/mechanical characteristics but very different surface properties offers a promising fabrication strategy for high-performance and durability solid oxide electrolysis cells for CO_(2)conversion.

随着社会经济和建设技术的发展,新的建筑结构形式不断涌现。工业厂房结构体系采用混凝土柱与折线形钢梁轻型房屋结构的形式越来越普遍,该结构形式能充分发挥钢筋混凝土柱刚度大、抗压强度高、防火防腐性能好的特点和折线形钢梁抗弯能力好、自重轻的优势,并且采用钢筋混凝土柱时,可以配以轻质砌体墙,能够解决房屋保温和墙体耐久性的问题;上部采用轻质高强、便于加工和安装的钢梁及轻型屋面,可提高施工速度,降低施工成本。但是,现行的建筑结构规范对这种新结构体系的受力特点、设计及应用等没有明确规定,给设计和施工造成困难。因此,正确理解与分析钢筋混凝土柱与折线形钢梁结构体系的力学性能是我国建筑结构领域中需要解决的重要问题。钢筋混凝土柱与折线形钢梁结构体系的研究符合国家“低碳、节能、环保”的理念,对中国绿色建筑工业化的发展具有十分重要的现实意义和战略性意义。折线形钢梁的安全可靠是保证这种新的结构体系正常工作的必要条件,它是结构体系的核心,深入研究折线形钢梁结构体系的受力性能是合理设计与应用应此类构件的前提。虽国内外学者对混凝土柱与钢梁混合结构进行了一些研究,但目前关于折线形钢梁结构体系的研究甚少。钢梁截面正应力分析计算是钢梁设计与计算中必要的计算过程,本文在张治新、黄军超于2015年国内外首次做的5种不同坡度折线形钢梁的试验结果基础上,对折线形钢梁在竖向荷载作用下的正应力状态进行试验,并结合ANSYS有限元模拟分析,对两端铰接折线形钢梁在竖向荷载作用下的正应力状态进行了进一步验证,具体研究分析结果如下:1、通过在集中荷载作用下折线形钢梁试验过程中的正截面应变状态,分析得出在集中荷载作用下折线形钢梁的跨中截面应变状态为接近线性变化关系、且基本符合平截面假定,在折线型钢梁跨中截面的中和轴位置区别于无曲折直线形钢梁,位于截面中心线以下。2、基于现有的折线形钢梁水平推力的研究成果,从理论角度进行竖向荷载作用下的折线形钢梁截面应力状态分析;通过折线形钢梁三个不同部位的截面应力分析得出,应力分布状态跟试验分析结果较吻合,其最大正应力产生位置不一定是跨中位置,在具体工程设计计算时要引起重视。3、以有限元软件ANSYS Workbench为研究平台建立分析模型,进行了仿真模拟分析,通过分析试验时的应变状态和理论分析的应变状态结果,进一步验证实际受力状态下的折线形钢梁截面正应力计算方法,为折线形钢梁计算与设计提供借鉴。
