An Effective Memory Analysis for Malware Detection and Classification

The study of malware behaviors,over the last years,has received tremendous attention from researchers for the purpose of reducing malware *** of the investigating experiments are performed using either static analysis or behavior ***,recent studies have shown that both analyses are vulnerable to modern malware files that use several techniques to avoid analysis and ***,extracted features could be meaningless and a distraction for malware ***,the volatile memory can expose useful information about malware behaviors and *** addition,memory analysis is capable of detecting unconventional malware,such as in-memory and fileless ***,memory features have not been fully utilized ***,this work aims to present a new malware detection and classification approach that extracts memory-based features from memory images using memory forensic *** extracted features can expose the malware’s real behaviors,such as interacting with the operating system,DLL and process injection,communicating with command and control site,and requesting higher privileges to perform specific *** also applied feature engineering and converted the features to binary vectors before training and testing the *** experiments show that the proposed approach has a high classification accuracy rate of 98.5%and a false positive rate as low as 1.24%using the SVM *** efficiency of the approach has been evaluated by comparing it with other related ***,a new memory-based dataset consisting of 2502 malware files and 966 benign samples forming 8898 features and belonging to six memory types has been created and published online for research purposes.

Exogenously applied glycinebetaine induced alteration in some key physio-biochemical attributes and plant anatomical features in water stressed oat(Avena sativa L.) plants

Although exogenous application of glycinebetaine(GB) is widely reported to regulate a myriad of physio-biochemical attributes in plants under stressful environments including drought stress, there is little information available in the literature on how and up to what extent GB can induce changes in anatomical features in water starved plants. Thus, the present research work was conducted to assess the GB-induced changes in growth, physio-biochemical, and anatomical characteristics in two cultivars(CK-1 and F-411) of oat(Avena sativa L.) under limited water supply. After exposure to water stress, a considerable reduction was observed in plant growth in terms of lengths and weights of shoot and roots,leaf mesophyll thickness, leaf midrib thickness, root cortex thickness, root diameter, stem diameter, stem phloem area, and stem vascular bundle area in both oat cultivars. However, water stress resulted in a significant increase in leaf total phenolics, hydrogen peroxide(H_2 O_2), ascorbic acid(AsA), GB contents,activities of enzymes(CAT, SOD and POD), total soluble proteins, leaf epidermis(abaxial and adaxial)thickness, bulliform cell area, sclerenchyma thickness, root endodermis and epidermis thickness, root metaxylem area, stem metaxylem area and stem sclerenchyma thickness in both oat ***-applied 100 mM GB suppressed H_2 O_2 contents, while improved growth attributes, free proline and GB contents, activity of SOD enzyme, leaf abaxial epidermis thickness, leaf bulliform cell area, leaf midrib thickness, leaf sclerenchyma thickness, root cortex thickness, root endodermis, epidermis thickness,root stele diameter, stem diameter, stem epidermis thickness, stem metaxylem area, and stem phloem and vascular bundle area in both oat cultivars. Improving the polarisation and depolarisation current measuring method to avoid ground wire interference

The ground wire is significantly interfered by the current above 1μA in the industrial field during the traditional polarisation and depolarisation current(PDC)*** paper explains a method to test PDC from high-voltage wire using a principle of equipotential picoammeter,which is completely isolated from the ground wire and connected in series with the high voltage *** this method,a device is designed with a multi-range automatic switching *** device can automatically switch the test range current from 1 pA to 10 mA with a resolution of 1 *** demonstrate the device and effectiveness of this new method,the traditional and the proposed new device are used to test the PDC of cable samples in the laboratory as well as in an industrial *** is worth noting that there is almost no interference on the Earth wire in the laboratory environment but massive interference in the industrial environment using a traditional method of PDC measurement from ground or Earth *** new method of high-voltage testing can efficiently eliminate the interference and accurately measure PDC in a strong industrial interference ***,the wiring of this new method and device is relatively simple,which is convenient for industrial applications.

Role of social indicators on vitality parameter to enhance the quality of women＇s communal life within an urban public space （case： Isfahan＇s traditional bazaar, Iran）

Vitality is a quality that makes a public space operational and attractive throughout the day in relation to ongoing activities. This parameter can be evaluated through measures such as collective people presence, mixed-use functions, diversity of activities, and other related supportive physical elements. The aim of this research is to evaluate women＇s communal life in terms of vitality measures within public spaces. The commercial setting of Isfahan’s traditional bazaar was selected as the study area. To enhance the credibility of the results, several data collection methods, for example, semi-structured individual interviews （n = 24）, semi-structured focused group interviews （five groups including 28 middle-aged women）, direct observation, snap photography, and unobtrusive behavioral observation of women in communal life within the selected study area, were employed. To analyze the collected data, qualitative content and descriptive analyses were used. Our results indicate that by increasing the vitality of a public space through its related measures, women＇s presence will grow, and through this growth, the quality of their communal life would be enhanced.

Casimir wormholes inspired by electric charge in Einstein–Gauss–Bonnet gravity

This investigation assesses the feasibility of a traversable wormhole by examining the energy densities associated with charged Casimir phenomena. We focus on the influence of the electromagnetic field created by an electric charge as well as the negative energy density arising from the Casimir source. We have developed different shape functions by defining energy densities from this combination. This paper explores various configurations of Casimir energy densities, specifically those occurring between parallel plates, cylinders and spheres positioned at specified distances from each other. Furthermore, the impact of the generalized uncertainty principle correction is also examined. The behavior of wormhole conditions is evaluated based on the Gauss–Bonnet coupled parameter(μ) and electric charge(Q) through the electromagnetic energy density constraint. This is attributed to the fact that the electromagnetic field satisfies the characteristic ρ =-pr. Subsequently, we examine the active gravitational mass of the generated wormhole geometries and explore the behavior of μ and Q concerning active mass. The embedding representations for all formulated shape functions are examined. Investigations of the complexity factor of the charged Casimir wormhole have demonstrated that the values of the complexity factor consistently fall within a particular range in all scenarios. Finally, using the generalized Tolman–Oppenheimer–Volkoff equation, we examine the stability of the resulting charged Casimir wormhole solutions.

The use of nanoparticles is considered promising for enhanced oil recovery(EOR),especially when they are combined with ***,the combination of nano-sized material with surface-active ionic liquids(SAILs)is an unexplored EOR *** this work,the advantages of mixing Al2O3 nanoparticles with the SAIL 1-dodecylpyridinium chloride were *** nanofluids in brine could only be achieved using the polymer polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP)as a stabilizing *** was found that the addition of nanoparticles(and PVP)to the surfactant formulation helped to:slightly increase its viscosity,enhance its water-oil interfacial tension(IFT)reduction capacity,and reduce the adsorption on carbonate rocks(adsorption on sandstone was found to be excessive).IFT was selected as target property to minimize for the design of EOR *** flooding tests were carried out with surfactant(0.5 wt%[C_(12)py]Cl),surfactant-polymer(0.5 wt%[C_(12)py]Cl,1.0 wt%PVP)and nanofluid(0.05 wt%Al_(2)O_(3),1.0 wt%PVP,0.5 wt%[C12py]Cl)formulations in brine(0.5 wt%NaCl).Additional oil recoveries of 3.4%,7.4%and 12.0%OOIP were achieved,respectively,the nanofluid formulation being the most promising for the ***,it was found capable of changing the wettability of carbonate rocks from oilwet to *** significance of this work lies in showing the new possibilities resulting from the combination of SAILs and nanoparticles for EOR,specifically the combination of[C_(12)py]Cl with Al_(2)O_(3).

Significantly enhanced flashover voltage of epoxy in vacuum by graded surface roughness modification

The flashover strength of epoxy(EP)insulations in the High voltage direct current applications of future energy grids can be improved by tailoring their surface *** work aims to improve the DC surface flashover characteristics of EP after being treated with sandpaper of different *** with virgin EP and homogenously modified EP considering varying surface roughness(R_(a)=0.54,3.16,5.24,and 8.35μm)are *** experimental characterisations,such as water contact angle,surface intrinsic conductivity,surface voltages,flashover strength,and trap distributions are conducted and evaluated to analyse the difference between virgin and treated ***,based on the obtained experimental results of homogenously treated EP and theoretical analysis,the concept of surface functionally graded materials(SFGMs)is put *** flashover voltages of homogenously treated EP are augmented significantly compared to virgin EP regardless of the voltage polarity and enhanced by enhancing the surface *** sample T_(Model‐C) with SFGM design shows a 45.02%and 43.75%improvement in the negative and positive flashover voltages than that of the virgin *** the end,COMSOL simulations are conducted to justify the experimental findings and to analyse the difference between virgin and modified samples in terms of electric field distribution.

Effect of auxins on axillary and de novo shoot regeneration from in vitro shoot cultures derived from forced epicormic buds of teak (Tectona grandis L.)

akram MUHAMMAD, Aftab FAHEEM＊Abstract In this presentation, we report on de novo and axillary shoot regeneration and rooting of shoots maintained over a long term, from cultures of Tectona grandis L. Shoot-tips of teak shoots forced from epicormic buds were used as the starting material for axenie shoot-culture establishment. Long term maintenance of such axenic shoot cultures was carried out by regular sub-culturing on MS media supplemented with N6-benzyleadenine （BA, 8.8 μmol·L^-1） and indole-3-butyric acid （IBA, 2 μmol·L ^1） for 24 months. Vigorously growing shoot tips （2-3 cm long） were inoculated on the MS basal medium supplemented with different concentrations （0, 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 ***-L-~） of either [BA or a-naphthaleneacetic acid （NAA） for rooting. Axillary and de novo shoots were de- veloped from axillary and cut basal ends of shoots, respectively. Shoots growing on auxins were further sub-cultured （every 15 days） and maintained for 45 days. The greatest number of de novo （5.06） as well as axillary shoots （2.85） was observed on the MS medium supplemented with 10 μmol-L^-1 NAA or 8 μmol·L^-1 IBA, respectively, after 45 days. The combinations of both IBA （μmol·L^-1）＋ NAA （μmol·L^-1） were tested at different concentrations （4 ＋ 4, 6 ＋ 6, 8 ＋ 8） supplemented to a half strength MS basal medium with 0.1% activated charcoal for rooting of decapitated and non-decapitated de novo and axillary shoots. Rooting from non-decapitated de novo shoots was highest （93.33%） with a mean number of roots of 4.61 on this medium, supplemented with 6 μmol·L^-1 IBA ＋ 6 gmol.L l NAA, after 36 days of initial culture. Individual auxin, however, was not effective for root induction. Rooted shoots were acclimatized in a green house and after four weeks plantlets were transferred to the field.

In this research article,we construct a family of derivative free simultaneous numerical schemes to approximate all real zero of non-linear polynomial *** make a comparative analysis of the newly constructed numerical schemes with a well-known existing simultaneous method for determining all the distinct real zeros of polynomial equations using computer algebra system Mat *** bound of convergence of simultaneous schemes is calculated using *** convergence property of the numerical schemes is presented by taking random starting initial approximation and their convergence history are graphically *** real life engineering applications along with some higher degree polynomials are considered as numerical test problems to show performance and efficiency of the derivative free family of numerical methods with comparison of an existing method of same order in *** computational order of convergence,CPU time,graph of computational order of convergence and residual error graphs elaborate efficiency,robustness and authentication of the suggested family of numerical methods in its domain.

Enterprise WLAN system supports a wide range of functionalities and services,such as,support for authentication,access,and accounting(AAA),interference management,mobility management,load balancing and providing quality of service *** unbalancing is a key issue in today's enterprise WLANs because of insufficient knowledge of network devices and *** unaware handoff is also an issue to make network *** Defined Networking(SDN)is considered a new paradigm which has the ability to overcome traditional network's *** decouples data plane and control plane and makes network easy to manage and *** thesis addresses the issue of load unbalancing in enterprise *** are introducing the concept of SDN along with a load balancing technique "Cell Breathing" in enterprise *** breathing is a technique in which access points expand or shrink their coverage area by increasing or decreasing their transmission power *** changing the coverage area of access points,load can be changed dynamically.A SDN based WLAN architecture "Odin" provides a structure to minimize handoff ***,it provides the information of number of clients connected with *** have used this information in our architecture to design cell breathing technique above SDN controller as an application by taking the advantages of Odin and cell breathing technique in single *** is accomplished by using an emulator called "Mininet-WiFi" to make virtual SDN based WLAN test bed for evaluating this ***,a load-imbalance WLAN scenario is ***,the proposed technique is applied to balance the load of this *** yields an increased throughput that is at least twice than that of the traditional *** experimental results show the benefits and feasibility of the proposed technique.
