AIM: To prospectively investigate the effectiveness and patient’s tolerance of tw. low.cost bow.l cleansing preparation protocols based on magnesium citrate only or the combination of magnesium citrate and senna. METHODS: A total of 342 patients w.o w.re referred for colonoscopy underw.nt a colon cleansing protocol w.th magnesium citrate alone (n = 160) or magnesium citrate and senna granules (n = 182). The colonoscopist rated the overall efficacy of colon cleansing using an established score on a 4-point scale. Patients w.re questioned before undergoing colonoscopy for side effects and symptoms during bow.l preparation. RESULTS: The percentage of procedures rescheduled because ofinsufficient colon cleansing w.s 7% in the magnesium citrate group and 4% in the magnesium citrate/senna group (P = 0.44). Adequate visualization of the colonic mucosa w.s rated superior under the citramag/senna regimen (P = 0.004). Both regimens w.re w.ll tolerated, and did not significantly differ in the occurrence of nausea, bloating or ***, abdominal cramps w.re observed more often under the senna protocol (29.2%) compared to the magnesium citrate only protocol (9.9%, P nCLUSIOn: The addition of senna to the bow.l preparation protocol w.th magnesium citrate significantly improves the cleansing outcome.

The subsurface space in urban areas is an important ***,the information available on this environment is relatively poor compared to above ground *** paper proposes a Building Information Model(BIM)for underground applications as means to address this information *** creation and progressive update of BIM for a constructed artefact ensures that data on the structures is available and can be used throughout its lifetime.A BIM for underground applications integrates data on surface structures,such as buildings,and subsurface infrastructures,such as pipes,along w.th details of the surrounding ground,the associated soil and rock properties and groundw.ter regime into a single *** approach is demonstrated by applying it to trenchless construction operations,including a microtunnelling project for a new.*** data from this extended BIM concept can be interactively used w.th analysis packages to conduct risk assessments for new.construction *** also show. how.BIM for the Underground can be used throughout the planning,construction and post-construction stages of a project,and,importantly,how.this information can be available for future projects.

The idea of using ultrashort X-ray pulses to obtain images of single proteins frozen in time has fascinated and inspired *** w.s one of the arguments for building X-ray free-electron *** to theory,the extremely intense pulses provide sufficient signal to dispense w.th using crystals as an amplifier,and the ultrashort pulse duration permits capturing the diffraction data before the sample inevitably *** w.s first demonstrated on biological samples a decade ago on the giant *** then,a large collaboration has been pushing the limit of the smallest sample that can be *** ability to capture snapshots on the timescale of atomic vibrations,w.ile keeping the sample at room temperature,may allow.probing the entire conformational phase space of *** w. show.the first observation of an X-ray diffraction pattern from a single protein,that of Escherichia coli GroEL w.ich at 14 nm in diameter is the smallest biological sample ever imaged by X-rays,and demonstrate that the concept of diffraction before destruction extends to single *** the pattern,it is possible to determine the approximate orientation of the *** experiment demonstrates the feasibility of ultrafast imaging of single proteins,opening the w.y to single-molecule time-resolved studies on the femtosecond timescale.

Emerging machine learning(ML)-based approaches provide pow.rful and novel tools to study a variety of physical and chemical *** this contribution,w. outline a universal strategy to create ML-based atomistic force fields,w.ich can be used to perform high-fidelity molecular dynamics *** scheme involves(1)preparing a big reference dataset of atomic environments and forces w.th sufficiently low.noise,e.g.,using density functional theory or higher-level methods,(2)utilizing a generalizable class of structural fingerprints for representing atomic environments,(3)optimally selecting diverse and nonredundant training datasets from the reference data,and(4)proposing various learning approaches to predict atomic forces directly(and rapidly)from atomic *** the atomistic forces,accurate potential energies can then be obtained by appropriate integration along a reaction coordinate or along a molecular dynamics *** on this strategy,w. have created model ML force fields for six elemental bulk solids,including Al,Cu,Ti,w.Si,and C,and show.that all of them can reach chemical *** proposed procedure is general and universal,in that it can potentially be used to generate ML force fields for any material using the same unified w.rkflow.w.th little human ***,the force fields can be systematically improved by adding new.training data progressively to represent atomic environments not encountered previously.
