Culturable fungal population diversity and succession was investigated in developing cranberry ovaries of fruit rot-resistant and rot-susceptible cranberry selections,from flower through mature *** were recovered in culture from 1185 of 1338 ovary tissues collected from June to September,yielding 2255 isolates that represented 42 *** the season,species richness varied from 2 to 17 and 2 to 18 in rot-resistant and rotsusceptible selections,respectively,increasing from wk1 to wk10 and then gradually declining to ***-Wiener diversity index varied from 0.27 to 2.32 in rotresistant and 0.18 to 2.38 in rot-susceptible,and Pielou’s evenness index varied from 0.11 to 0.63 and 0.06 to 0.64 in rot-resistant and rot-susceptible selections,respectively,confirming that diversity of fungi in developing ovaries was similar among rot-resistant and rot-susceptible selections,but varied among sampling time *** component analysis grouped samples collected at the same sampling time point together regardless of rot susceptibility of the selections,and detected the predominant fungal species associated with each stage of *** changes were observed in populations of endophytic,pathogenic and saprophytic fungi throughout the season as ovaries matured.

Objective This study aims to explore the clinical applicability and relevance of giycosaminoglycan Chemical Exchange Saturation Transfer （gagCEST） for intervertebral disc. Methods 25 subjects ranging in age from 24 yrs to 74 yrs were enrolled, gagCEST was acquired using a single-slice TSE sequence on a 3T. Saturation used a continuous rectangular Rf pulse with B1=0.8 I^T and a fixed duration time =1100 ms. Sagittal image was obtained firstly without saturation pulse, and then saturated images were acquired at 52 offsets ranging from ＋0.i25 to ＋_7 parts per million （ppm）. MR T2 relaxivity map was acquired at the identical location. Six subjects were scanned twice to assess scan-rescan reproducibility. Results GagCEST intraclass correlation coefficient （ICC） of six subjects was 0.759 for nucleus pulposus （NP） and 0.508 for annulus fibrosus （Af）. Bland-Altman plots showed NP had a mean difference of 0.10% （95% limits of agreement： -3.02% to 3.22%）; while that of Af was 0.34% （95% limits of agreement： -2.28% to 2.95%）. for the 25 subjects, gag CEST in NP decreased as disc degeneration increased, with a similar trend to T2 relaxivity. Gag CEST of Af showed a better correlation with disc degeneration than T2 relaxivity. Conclusion GagCEST in NP and Af decreased as disc degeneration increased, while gagCEST in Af showed a better correlation than T2 relaxivity.

Hot air(HA)drying of banana has low drying efficiency and results in undesirable product *** objectives of this research were to investigate the feasibility of infrared(IR)heating to improve banana drying rate,evaluate quality of the dried product,and establish models for predicting drying *** slices of 5 mm and 8 mm thickness were dried with IR and HA at product temperatures of 60℃,70℃ and 80℃.Banana drying characteristics and changes in residual polyphenol oxidase(PPO),Hydroxymethylfurfural(HMf),color,moisture content(MC)and water activity during the treatments were *** showed that significant moisture reduction and higher drying rates were achieved with IR drying compared to HA drying in the early *** drying data could be fitted to the Page model for accurate prediction of MC change for IR and HA drying with mean R2 of *** was noted that enzyme inactivation occurred more quickly with IR than with HA drying.A unique response of PPO under IR and HA drying was *** heating of banana inactivated PPO within the first 20 min of drying at 60℃,70℃ and 80℃,while PPO was first activated before inactivation at 60℃ and 70℃ drying with *** highest HMf content occurred in banana slices with 5 mm thickness dried with IR at a product temperature of 80℃.It is therefore recommendable to dry banana with IR at product temperature of 70℃ or below to preserve the product *** findings are new and provide more insight in the application of IR heating for drying banana for improved drying rate and product quality.

This review paper summarizes the research of Mercury’s magnetosphere in the Post-MESSENGER era and compares its dynamics to those in other planetary magnetospheres,especially to those in Earth’s *** review starts by introducing the planet Mercury,including its interplanetary environment,magnetosphere,exosphere,and conducting *** frequent and intense magnetic reconnection on the dayside magnetopause,which is represented by the flux transfer event"shower",is reviewed on how they depend on magnetosheath plasma β and magnetic shear angle across the magnetopause,followed by how it contributes to the flux circulation and magnetosphere-surface-exosphere *** the next,Mercury’s magnetosphere under extreme solar events,including the core induction and the reconnection erosion on the dayside magnetosphere,as well as the responses of the nightside magnetosphere,are ***,the dawn-dusk properties of the plasma sheet,including the features of the ions,the structure of the current sheet,and the dynamics of magnetic reconnection,are *** last topic is devoted to the particle energization in Mercury’s magnetosphere,which includes the energization of the Kelvin-Helmholtz waves on the magnetopause boundaries,reconnection-generated magnetic structures,and the cross-tail electric *** each chapter,the last section discusses the open questions related to each topic,which can be considered by the simulations and the future spacecraft *** end this paper by summarizing the future Bepi Colombo opportunities,which is a joint mission of ESA and JAXA and is en route to Mercury.

On June 27, 1997, the Near Earth Asteroid Rendezvous (NEAR) spacecraft flew within 1200km of the main belt asteroid 253 Mathilde. Previous observations of Mathilde had revealed it to be a C-type asteroid with an astonishingly-long rotation period of 17.4 days, an albedo of 3.8%, and a mean diameter of 60 km. Observations by NEAR reveal that Mathilde has a roughly triaxial shape of 66 × 48 × 46 km diameter and a mass of 1. 02 × 10 g, implying a mean density of only 1. 3g/cm3 . The surface of Mathilde was observed to be saturated with large impact craters, showing a range of visible topography in excess of 5 km. Multispectral observations did not reveal any substantial color differences across the surface, and coverage at multiple phase angles was used to derive a preliminary albedo of 3. 5 % to 5% .The low observed density, lack of color variations, and low albedo all suggest that Mathilde may be a primitive, carbon - rich object with an interior that contains substantial pore space.

We compared small mammal community composition among undisturbed habitats and habitats disturbed by military operations on Warren Grove Gunnery Range(WGR)in the New Jersey *** is one of the largest tracts of protected land within this globally rare *** in the form of fire,mowing,soil disruption and logging has had a large effect on small mammal occurrence and *** the 14 small mammal species that occur in the Pinelands,9 live on WGR,including large populations of the southern bog lemming(Synaptomys cooperi Baird,1858)and meadow jumping mouse[Zapus hudsonius(Zimmermann,1780)].Simpson’s Index of Diversity was 0 for most disturbed sites and was generally greater in wetlands than in ***-footed mouse[Peromyscus leucopus(Rafinesque,1818)]was the most common species on WGR and had a dominant effect on species diversity and community similarity *** dominated upland habitats and was the only species to occur in several disturbed habitats,whereas all 9 species occurred in *** components analysis indicated that most variation in species diversity was explained by disturbance and differences between upland and wetland habitats,due to presence of white-footed mice in disturbed and upland *** jumping mice,southern bog lemmings and red-back voles[Myodes gapperi(Vigors,1830)]were positively correlated with wetland habitats,and pine voles[Microtus pinetorum(Le Conte,1830)],short-tail shrews[Blarina brevicauda(Say,1823)]and eastern chipmunks[Tamias striatus(Linnaeus,1758)]were associated with *** heterogeneity at WGR,including extensive undisturbed wetlands and uplands supported a rich diversity of small mammal species.
