Anion exchange membrane(AEM)water electrolyzers are promising energy devices for the production of clean hydrogen from ***,the lack of active and robust electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)severely impedes the development of this *** this study,a ternary layered double hydroxide(LDH)OER electrocatalyst(NiFeCo-LDH)is developed for high-performance AEM alkaline seawater *** AEM alkaline seawater electrolyzer catalyzed by the NiFeCo LDH shows high seawater electrolysis performance(0.84 A/cm^(2)at 1.7 Vcell)and high hydrogen production efficiency(77.6%at 0.5 A/cm^(2)),thus outperforming an electrolyzer catalyzed by a benchmark IrO_(2)*** NiFeCo-LDH electrocatalyst greatly improves the kinetics of the AEM alkaline seawater electrolyzer,consequently reducing its activation loss and leading to high *** on the results,this NiFeCo-LDH-catalyzed AEM alkaline seawater electrolyzer can likely surpass the energy conversion targets of the US Department of Energy.

Failure mechanism and control technology of deep soft-rock roadways:Numerical simulation and field study

Large deformations such as roof subsidence,floor heave,and two-sided deformations occur frequently in deep soft-rock *** deformation becomes more severe under the combined effect of high in-situ and mining-induced stresses,which detrimentally affect the safe mining of *** on the geological conditions and roadway failure characteristics of the Nanyaotou coal mine in Shanxi province,China,we used comprehensive numerical simulations and field observations to study roadway deformation and *** deformation mechanism of deep soft-rock roadways under dynamic pressures is described,and the corresponding control measures are *** deformation and fracture development characteristics of roadways surrounding rocks were explored with a primary support scheme,and its effects were *** radius of the plastic zone and the displacement deformation of the roadway were studied by using theoretical analysis,and a combined-support design of‘‘anchor bolt+anchor cable+shotcrete+deep and shallow borehole grouting+inverted arch”was proposed to limit deformations and relieve the stress in the surrounding *** simulations and field monitoring showed that the combined support scheme can effectively mitigate the large deformations of ventilation roadways and provide guidance for the stable control of deep soft-rock roadways.

High performance of TiO_(2)/Cu_(x)O photoelectrodes for regenerative solar energy storage in a vanadium photoelectrochemical cell

Photocatalysts for harvesting solar energy to either electricity or chemical fuels have attracted much attention recently, but they have big obstacles such as wide bandgaps and rapid charge recombinations to overcome for final applications. In this study, we investigates a useful method to utilize vanadium redox pairs, which are commonly applied for vanadium redox flow batteries, to diminish charge recombinations and thus to enhance photocurrent response in regenerative solar energy storage. The results reveal significant improvements in photocurrent density by forming cuprous and cupric oxides in TiO_(2)/Cu_(x)O electrodes under solar AM 1.5 illuminations using the vanadium photoelectrochemical storage cell at 0.025 mol L^(-1) of vanadium redox species in the acid electrolytes. In addition, the stabilized photocurrent density of the copper content optimized TiO_(2)/Cu_(x)O electrodes is almost tripled from the TiO_(2) only electrode because the charge recombinations can be mitigated with the content optimized TiO_(2)/Cu_(x)O electrodes. Therefore, the optimized TiO_(2)/Cu_(x)O electrode results in the highest charge storing performance in the catholyte chamber, and the roles of vanadium redox species are also clearly demonstrated.

Impact of indoor ventilation efficiency on acetone inhalation exposure concentration and tissue dose in respiratory tract

A significant feature of the indoor environment is the heterogeneity of airflow and pollutant distributions,which are primarily dependent on ventilation *** the case of short-and high-concentration exposures to hazardous chemical pollutants,it may be necessary to precisely determine the concentration in the breathing zone or,more directly,the inhalation exposure concentration in the respiratory tract,rather than the representative room average concentration in an indoor environment,because of the non-uniformity of pollutant concentration *** this study,we developed a computer-simulated person with a detailed respiratory system to predict inhalation exposure concentration and inhalation dose via transient breathing and reported a demonstrative numerical simulation for analyzing acetone concentration distributions in a simplified model *** numerical analysis revealed that the ventilation efficiency distribution in a room could change significantly by changing the design of the ventilation system,and that the inhalation exposure concentration estimated by a computer-simulated person could differ from the representative concentration,such as perfect-mixing or volume-averaged acetone concentration,by a factor of two or more.

Laparoscopic choledocholithotomy and transductal T-tube insertion with indocyanine green fluorescence imaging and laparoscopic ultrasound: A case report

BACKGROUND Laparoscopic choledocholithotomy for a large impacted common bile duct(CBD)stone is a challenging procedure because of the technical difficulty and the possibility of postoperative complications,even in this era of minimally invasive ***,we present a case of large impacted CBD *** SUMMARY A 71-year-old man showed a distal CBD stone(45 mm×20 mm)and a middle CBD stone(20 mm×15 mm)on computed *** retrograde cholangiopancreatography failed due to the large size of the impacted stone and the presence of a large duodenal *** choledocholithotomy was decided,and we used a near-infrared indocyanine green fluorescence scope to detect and expose the supraduodenal CBD more ***,the location,size,and shape of the stones were detected using a laparoscopic intraoperative *** CBD was opened with a 2-cm-sized vertical *** irrigating several times,two CBD stones were removed with the Endo BabcockTM.T-tube insertion was done for postoperative cholangiography and delayed the removal of remnant *** patient had no postoperative *** Laparoscopic choledocholithotomy by transcholedochal approach and transductal T-tube insertion is a safe and feasible option for large-sized impacted CBD stones.

Brittle and ductile characteristics of intermetallic compounds in magnesium alloys: A large-scale screening guided by machine learning

In the present work,we have employed machine learning(ML)techniques to evaluate ductile-brittle(DB)behaviors in intermetallic compounds(IMCs)which can form magnesium(Mg)*** procedure was mainly conducted by a proxy-based method,where the ratio of shear(G)/bulk(B)moduli was used as a proxy to identify whether the compound is ductile or *** from compounds information(composition and crystal structure)and their moduli,as found in open databases(AFLOW),ML-based models were built,and those models were used to predict the moduli in other compounds,and accordingly,to foresee the ductile-brittle behaviors of these new *** results reached in the present work showed that the built models can effectively catch the elastic moduli of new *** was confirmed through moduli calculations done by density functional theory(DFT)on some compounds,where the DFT calculations were consistent with the ML prediction.A further confirmation on the reliability of the built ML models was considered through relating between the DB behavior in MgBe_(13) and MgPd_(2),as evaluated by the ML-predicted moduli,and the nature of chemical bonding in these two compounds,which in turn,was investigated by the charge density distribution(CDD)and electron localization function(ELF)obtained by DFT *** ML-evaluated DB behaviors of the two compounds was also consistent with the DFT calculations of CDD and *** findings and confirmations gave legitimacy to the built model to be employed in further prediction ***,as examples,the DB characteristics were investigated in IMCs that might from in three Mg alloy series,involving AZ,ZX and WE.

Vertical three-dimensional(3D)integration is a highly attractive strategy to integrate a large number of transistor devices per unit *** approach has emerged to accommodate the higher demand of data processing capability and to circumvent the scaling limitation.A huge number of research efforts have been attempted to demonstrate vertically stacked electronics in the last two *** this review,we revisit materials and devices for the vertically integrated electronics with an emphasis on the emerging semiconductor materials that can be processable by bottom-up fabrication methods,which are suitable for future flexible and wearable *** vertically stacked integrated circuits are reviewed based on the semiconductor materials:organic semiconductors,carbon nanotubes,metal oxide semiconductors,and atomically thin two-dimensional materials including transi-tion metal *** features,device performance,and fabrication methods for 3D integration of the transistor based on each semiconductor are ***,we highlight recent advances that can be important milestones in the vertically integrated elec-tronics including advanced integrated circuits,sensors,and display *** are remaining challenges to overcome;however,we believe that the vertical 3D integration based on emerging semiconductor materials and devices can be a promising strategy for future electronics.

Erectile potentials of a new phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor, DA-8159, in diet-induced obese rats

Aim： To examine the changes in the erectile function in diet-induced obese rats and investigate the oral efficacy of DA-8159, a new phosphodiesterase type 5 （PDE5） inhibitor, on penile erection in obese rats. Methods： The rats were fed a high-energy diet for 12 weeks and divided into three groups： an obesity-resistant （OR） control group, an obesity-prone （OP） control group, and an OP-DA-8159 treatment （DA-8159） group. The electrostimulation-induced erectile responses were measured in all groups. The body weight, plasma cholesterol, triglyceride and glucose levels were also measured. Results： In the OP control group, the maximum intracavernous pressure （ICP） and ICP/blood pressure （ICP/BP） ratio after electric stimulation were significantly lower than those in OR control group. The corresponding area under the curve （AUC） of the ICP/BP ratio, the detumescence time and the baseline cavernous pressure were also lower than those in the OR control group, but this difference was not significant. The body weight gain, plasma cholesterol and triglyceride level in the OP group were significantly higher than those in the OR group. After administering the DA-8159, a significant increase in the maximum ICP and the ICP/BP ratio were observed. The corresponding AUCs in the DA-8159 group were also higher than those in the two control groups. Furthermore, the detumescence time was significantly prolonged after treatment with DA-8159. Conclusion： These results demon- strate that diet-induced obesity affects the erectile function in rats and these erectile dysfunction （ED） can be improved by the treatment with DA-8159, indicating DA-8159 might be a treatment option for ED associated with obesity.

Deep Learning-Based Action Classification Using One-Shot Object Detection

Deep learning-based action classification technology has been applied to various fields,such as social safety,medical services,and *** an action on a practical level requires tracking multiple human bodies in an image in real-time and simultaneously classifying their *** are various related studies on the real-time classification of actions in an ***,existing deep learning-based action classification models have prolonged response speeds,so there is a limit to real-time *** addition,it has low accuracy of action of each object ifmultiple objects appear in the ***,it needs to be improved since it has a memory overhead in processing image *** learning-based action classification using one-shot object detection is proposed to overcome the limitations of multiframe-based analysis *** proposed method uses a one-shot object detection model and a multi-object tracking algorithm to detect and track multiple objects in the ***,a deep learning-based pattern classification model is used to classify the body action of the object in the image by reducing the data for each object to an action *** to the existing studies,the constructed model shows higher accuracy of 74.95%,and in terms of speed,it offered better performance than the current studies at 0.234 s per *** proposed model makes it possible to classify some actions only through action vector learning without additional image learning because of the vector learning feature of the posterior neural ***,it is expected to contribute significantly to commercializing realistic streaming data analysis technologies,such as CCTV.

Applying Machine Learning Techniques for Religious Extremism Detection on Online User Contents

In this research paper,we propose a corpus for the task of detecting religious extremism in social networks and open sources and compare various machine learning algorithms for the binary classification problem using a previously created corpus,thereby checking whether it is possible to detect extremist messages in the Kazakh *** do this,the authors trained models using six classic machine-learning algorithms such as Support Vector Machine,Decision Tree,Random Forest,K Nearest Neighbors,Naive Bayes,and Logistic *** increase the accuracy of detecting extremist texts,we used various characteristics such as Statistical Features,TF-IDF,POS,LIWC,and applied oversampling and undersampling techniques to handle imbalanced *** a result,we achieved 98%accuracy in detecting religious extremism in Kazakh texts for the collected *** the developed machine learningmodels in various databases that are often found in everyday life“Jokes”,“News”,“Toxic content”,“Spam”,“Advertising”has also shown high rates of extremism detection.
