Sensitivity to Combustible Gas for ZnO Thin Films

A fine polycrystalline ZnO thin film with 0.3 similar to 0.6 mu m grain size was obtained by sol-gel process and a consequential heat treatment at 500 degrees C. The process of preparing ZnO thin film was analysed. The sensitivity and conductivity of ZnO thin films as combustible gas (CO, Ch4, h-2) sensor as well as the influence of catalyst and ph value of the precursor on its sensitivity were studied in detail. The structure characteristics of ZnO thin film by different process were investigated by X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis and photoelectron spectrometer. The atomic ratio of Zn to O on the surface of ZnO thin film was found to be 1.14:1 measured from XPS result. The conductivity of the thin film increases greatly when doped with Al3+ ion but decreases while doped with Na+ ion.

BACKGROUND Few studies have compared the efficacy and safety profile of a tailored eradication(TR)strategy based on the presence of a 23S ribosomal RNA point mutation with those of empirical bismuth-based quadruple therapy(EBQT)for first-line eradication of helicobacter pylori(***)in Korean *** To compare the efficacy and safety of a TR strategy and those of EBQT regimen as first-line eradication therapy for *** This is an open-label,comparative study in which we prospectively enrolled patients over 18 years of age with *** infection and retrospectively reviewed their ***-positive patients diagnosed by rapid urease test,Giemsa staining,or dual priming oligonucleotide polymerase chain reaction(DPO-PCR)were enrolled from May 2016 to September 2018 at Gil Medical *** with *** infection received either a TR regimen or the EBQT *** the tailored therapy group that underwent DPO-PCR testing,patients with A2142G and/or A2143G point mutations were treated with a bismuth-containing quadruple *** eradication rate,patient-reported side effect rate,and *** eradication success rate were evaluated and compared between the *** A total of 150 patients were assigned to the TR(n=50)or EBQT group(n=100).The first-line eradication rate of *** did not differ between the groups(96.0%vs 95.7%,P=0.9).The rate of eradication-related side effects for TR was 12.0%,which differed significantly from that of EBQT(43.0%)for first-line treatment(PiON DPO-PCR-based TR for *** eradication may be equally efficacious,with less treatment-related complications,compared to EBQT in Korea,where clarithromycin resistance is high.

Performance of the oxidative coupling of methane in fluidized-bed reactor was experimentally investigated using Mn-Na2WO4/SiO2,La2O3/CaO and La2O3-SrO/CaO *** catalysts were found to be stable,especially Mn-Na2WO4/SiO2 *** effect of sodium content of this catalyst was analyzed and the challenge of catalyst agglomeration was addressed using proper catalyst composition of 2%Mn2.2%Na2WO4/*** other two catalysts,the effect of Lanthanum-Strontium content was analyzed and 10%La2O 3-20%SrO/CaO catalyst was found to provide higher ethylene yield than La2O3/CaO ***,the effect of operating parameters such as temperature and methane to oxygen ratio were also *** highest ethylene and ethane （C2） yield was a.h.eved with the lowest methane to oxygen ratio around 2.40.5% selectivity to ethylene and ethane and 41% methane conversion were a.h.eved over La2O3-SrO/CaO catalyst while over Mn-Na2WO4 /SiO2 catalyst,40% and 48% were recorded,***,the consecutive effects of nitrogen dilution,ethylene to ethane production ratio and other performance indicators on the down-stream process units were qualitatively discussed and Mn-Na2WO4/SiO2 catalyst showed a better performance in the reactor and process scale analysis.

The conjugate flows over a step with the height h_0, which might be positive or negative, was studied in a three-layer fluid and the coupled nonlinear equations were derived, with which the effects of varying height h_0 on the existence and evolution of conjugate flows were examined. it is concluded that the conjugate flow is sharply sensitive to the thickness of fluid layers and its characteristics alters remarkably due to the existence of the step. As the flow climbs up a step (h_0>0), the conjugate flow with a convex lower interface and a concave upper interface is allowed to appear, while the flow with the concave lower interface or the simultaneous concave interfaces will be depressed. As the flow goes down a step (i.e., h_0ions only one kind of conjugate flow could exist, which prossesses the form with the simultaneous convex interfaces and will disappear rapidly with the increase of the step depth.

We report on the application of Laser induced Breakdown Spectroscopy(LiBS)technique to the study of Ca,P,Zn and Sr evolutions for adult caries-affected teeth using nanosecond laser *** aim of this work is to better understand the behaviors of Zn and Sr as trace-elements in the caries eruption with respect to the behaviors of one of the main compounds of the hydroxyapatite crystal which is the *** study was focused on the investigation of these elements’evolutions from three parts of the enamel surfaces of twenty two adult caries-affected teeth;the healthy part,the dental plaque part and the caries-affected *** decrease rates of Zn,Sr and P was,also,compared to the Ca *** concerned normalized emission line *** every species,normalization was done relatively to the emission line intensities of the healthy *** showed that abundances of these elements decrease similarly from the healthy parts to the affected-caries *** higher decrease rate was noticed for the *** evolutions of Zn and Sr for the three parts of the teeth surfaces cannot inform about the substitution of the calcium by these trace-elements,however the comparison of their decrease rates to the calcium one can be considered as a valuable index of this substitution.

The curing process of two biobased a.h.sives:pine tanninhexamine(Th)and organosolv lignin non-isocyanate polyurethane(NiPU),suitable for interior nonstructural use,were compared with commercial urea-formaldehyde(UF)*** in chemical structure before and after the curing process were observed with Fouriertransform infrared spectroscopy(FTiR).The process of a.h.sive curing was monitored with differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and the automated bonding evaluation system(ABES).Both DSC and ABES measurements confirmed UF as the fastest and NiPU as the slowest curing a.h.sive *** into account the ABES results,the optimal pressing parameters for the Th a.h.sive would be 4 min at 175℃,for the NiPU a.h.sive 7 min at 200℃and for the UF 1.5 min at 100℃.Strong linear correlation was observed between mechanical and chemical curing for the UF and NiPU a.h.sives,whereas lower correlation was observed for the Th *** all observed a.h.sives,the DSC measurements were underestimating the curing process determined by ABES in the first part and overestimating it at the *** underestimation was the most evident with the Th a.h.sive and the less with the UF *** comparing the uncured and cured FTiR spectra of all three types of a.h.sives,a drastic decrease in the characteristic band of-Oh groups at 3330–3400 cm^(−1)and an increase in the signal intensity at 2920 cm^(−1)of aliphatic-Ch2-groups were *** the UF a.h.sive,the C=O stretching frequency has shifted from 1632 cm^(−1)for uncured to three different bands at 1766,1701,and 1655 cm^(−1)for cured *** sharp band for phenolic alcohols at 1236 cm^(−1)of C–O stretch and hydroxyl O–h functional group at 1009 cm^(−1)and at 684 cm^(−1)of uncured Th a.h.sive diminished during curing,which indicates that a crosslinking reaction occurs via-Oh *** peak of the C=O group of urethane bridges at 1697 cm^(−1)for uncured NiPU shifted to lower wavenumber at 1633 cm^(−1)for cured NiPU.

Lactic acid is an important organic acid that is widely used in the food,pharmaceutical,and cosmetic *** acid was produced from coffee ground waste which contains fermentable sugars and is increasingly generated from our daily dietary *** 114 strains of Lactobacillus species,Lactobacillus rhamnosus ATCC 10863 was selected for the production of lactic acid from coffee ground *** alkali pretreatment and saccharification,cellulose and hemicellulose in coffee ground waste were converted into fermentable *** experiments were conducted at various alkali solution,concentrations,and *** pretreatment with 35 g/L of KOh at 121oC for 60 min,the highest concentration of fermentable sugars was *** optimum concentration of Viscozyme L was 2%when saccharification was proceeded at 55oC for 7 *** productivity of lactic acid fermentation was the highest(0.59 g/L/h)at 100 g of coffee ground waste(1x concentration),whereas the lactic acid concentration was the highest at 600 g of coffee ground waste(6x concentration).As the concentration of coffee ground increased,the lactic acid concentration was also increased,however,the amount was not proportional to the coffee ground waste *** this study,it was found that coffee ground waste could be used as a culture medium for Lactobacillus rhamnosus ATCC 10863 through pretreatment and saccharification for the production of lactic acid.

Acute liver failure （ALF） is relatively frequent during heat stroke （hS）. This risk must be emphasized, because its inddence is higher than is usually thought. in a recent study by Weigand et al, two cases were reported in which liver failure was the leading symptom. We have confirmed their conclusion in a study of 25 cases of hS with ALF, compared with 25 other cases without ALE Moreover, we observed that hypophosphatemia on admission could predict occurrence of ALF during hS. As for clinical and other biological parameters, phosphatemia should be monitored for at least 3 d in all cases of hS, even when it is thought to be mild.
