MicroRNA-153(miR-153),belongs toa dass of small non-coding *** is a aritical regulator of gene expression at the post-transcriptional lewel which interacts with the functional mRNA at 3UTR rgion and suppresses the expression of the *** recently,it has become apparent that dhanges in the miR-153 axpression lead to invasion,metastasis,angiogenesis and various types of tumor *** review summarizes the connection between dysrgulation of miR-153 and various typas of cancer ***-153 regulates various signaling pathways to inhibit the proliferation and induce apoptosis in the ancer cell and also show synergistic activity with anticancer *** addition to this,the oncogenic bchavior of miR-153 and their use as a potential biomarker in cancer was also reviewed.

Comparison between different methods of estimation of vitamin D

Background: Vitamin D is not only important for bone health but can also affect the development of several non-bone diseases. These findings have increased the need for determining vitamin D status in a convenient and cost-effective way. In order to determine the better method for detecting vitamin D status, we have estimated blood vitamin D in three methods such as high-pressure liquid chromatography, chemiluminescent immunoassays and enzyme immunoassays. Method: Two hundred and sixteen subjects irrespective of age and sex were studied for blood vitamin D in all the three methods over a period of 2 years. Result: The statistical analysis showed that values of vitamin D obtained by chemiluminescent immunoassays (r = 0.978,

Base Pressure Plays an Important Role for Production of Plasma Blob in Argon Plasma

Magnetic confinement of fusion plasma has a wide range of issues to be addressed. Convective transport of plasma in the scrape-off layer of magnetic confinement devices is an interesting research topic for scientists and engineers. The interest in scrape-off layer convective transport has grown in last two decades because of its effect on plasma interaction with the first wall and divertor. By increasing the particle flux into the far scrape-off layer, blobs negatively affect limiters, radio frequency antennas and the first wall. Increased convective heat transport influences core plasma confinement, at least in L-mode plasmas. Here we have reported blob formation in the absent of external magnetic field. It is observed that at low pressure ~0.01 mb, transport seems to be dominated by diffusive process. At pressure > 1 mb, we observe convective transport in high speed imaging experiments. The role of background neutrals outside plasma boundary has the befitting answer for this phenomenon. Plasma temperature is the other key player. Another interesting observation is that at diffusive transport regime plasma life time is of the order of voltage pulse duration fed to plasma source, where as at convective transport regime plasma life time is increased appreciably.
