Objective: To discuss the expression of long noncoding RNA TUG1 (IneRNA-TUG1) in gastric carcinoma (GC) and its effects on the transferring and invading capacity of gastric carcinoma cells. Methods: Forty cases of carcinoma tissue and para-carcinoma tissue were selected from GC patients who underwent surgical removal in Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Chinese Traditional Medicine and Wenzhou Central Hospital from January, 2013 to December, 2014; the expressing level of IncRNA-TUG I in GC and para-C tissues was detected by applying the qRT-PCR technique. The correlation between IncRNA-TUG1 expression and patients' clinical data was classified and analyzed. SGC-7901 cells were transfected using IncRNA-TUG1 specific siRNA. Changes of the transferring and invading capacity of siRNA-transfected SGC-7901 cells were scratch-tested and transwell-detected. qRT-PCR was applied to detect the expression level of microRNA-144 after IncRNA-TUG1 was silenced. Changes of c-Met mRNA and protein expressions was detected by qRT-PCR and western -blot test. Results: The expression level of lneRNA-TUG1 in GC tissue was significant higher than that in para-C tissue (P<0.05) and the high expression level of IncRNA-TUG1 in GC tissue was significantly correlated with tumor lymph nodes metastasis and advance TNM phasing (/'<0.05). The transferring and invading capacity of SGC-7901 cells was highly inhibited after being transfected by IncRNA-TUG1 specific siRNA (P<0.05). The results of qRT-PCR and western -blot proved that the expression of microRNA-144 was significantly boosted and the expression level of c-Met mRNA and protein was inhibited after IncRNA-TUG1 was silenced (P<0.05). Conclusions: IncRNA-TUG1 shows an up -regulated expression in GC tissue and that bears a correlation with clinicopathological features of malignant tumor. IncRNATUGI can promote the transferring and invading capacity of GC by inhibiting the pathway of microRNA-144/c-Met.

AIM:To elucidate the clinicopathological characteristics and prognostic factors of gastric stump cancer(GSC).METHODS:The clinical data for 92 patients with GSC were collected at Fudan University Shanghai Cancer *** prognostic factors were analyzed with Cox proportional hazard ***:GSC tended to occur within 25 years following the primary surgery,when the initial disease is benign,whereas it primarily occurred within the first15 years post-operation for gastric *** with regular follow-up after primary surgery had a better survival *** multivariate Cox regression analysis revealed that Borrmann type?Ⅰ/Ⅱ(HR=3.165,95%CI:1.055-9.500,P=0.040)and radical resection(HR=1.780,95%CI:1.061-2.987,P=0.029)were independent prognostic factors for *** overall 1-,3-,and 5-year survival rates of the 92 patients were78.3%,45.6%and 27.6%,*** 1-,3-,and 5-year survival rates of those undergoing radical resection were 79.3%,52.2%,and 37.8%,*** 5-year survival rates for stages?Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,andⅣwere 85.7%,47.4%,16.0%,and 13.3%,respectively(P=0.005).CONCLUSION:The appearance of GSC occurs sooner in patients with primary malignant cancer than in patients with a primary benign ***,close follow-up is *** overall survival of patients with GSC is poor,and curative resection can improve their prognosis.

Case Report:CD19-positive acute myeloblastic leukemia with trisomy 21 as a sole acquired karyotypic abnormality

We report that a 63-year-old Chinese female had acute myeloblastic leukemia （AML） in which trisomy 21 （＋21） was found as the sole acquired karyotypic abnormality. The blasts were positive for rnyeloperoxidase, and the immunophenotype was positive for cluster of differentiation 19 （CD19）, CD33, CD34, and human leukocyte antigens （HLA）-DR. The chromosomal analysis of bone marrow showed 47,XX,＋21 [2]/46,XX[ 18]. Fluorescent in situ hybridization （FISH） showed that three copies of AML1 were situated in separate chromosomes, and that t（8;21） was negative. The patient did not have any features of Down syndrome. A diagnosis of CD 19-positive AML-M5 was established with trisomy 21 as a sole acquired karyotypic abnormality. The patient did not respond well to chemotherapy and died three months after the diagnosis. This is the first reported case of CD19-positive AML with trisomy 21 as the sole cytogenetie abnormality. The possible prognostic significance of the finding in AML with ＋21 as the sole acquired karyotypic abnormality was discussed.

A new series of polyamine-toxic cargo conjugates was synthesized with aryl aldehydes conjugating to hydrazino-containing triamine skeletons. The in vitro cytotoxicity of target compounds was evaluated in several cancer cell lines （e.g., L I 210, HeLa and B16） and the cellular entry of these polyamine conjugates via polyamine transporter was investigated on SPD- or DFMO-treated B 16 cell line. Of these compounds, 6c show significant cytotoxicity on L 1210, HeLa and B 16 cell lines （IC50 value, 3.74 μmol/L, 5.66μmol/L and 4.04 μmol/L, respectively）. The polyamine transporter assay demonstrated the suitability of hydrazino-containing polyamine backbones for application as vectors in drug delivery systems.

Soil salinity can limit plant growth and productivity. The cultivation of tolerant varieties is convenient and cost-effective for making good use of the saline *** sweet sorghum plant has a high tolerance for saline alkaline soils. The KF1210-3 and KF1210-4 early-maturity mutants of sweet sorghum were obtained via carbon ion irradiation. The study assesses the productivity of three sweet sorghum cultivars(KF1210-3, KF1210-4, and KFJTCK) which were grown in intermediate(4.6 d S m^(-1)) and high(11.9 d S m^(-1)) soil salinity. The sweet sorghum grown in the soil salinity of 4.6 d S m^(-1)produced 50.00–57.30 %greater fresh weight than that in the soil salinity of11.9 d S m^(-1), while the difference was not as obvious among the dry biomass of the three sweet sorghum cultivars. Moreover, the Brix degree of the sweet sorghum grown in the soil salinity of 11.9 d S m^(-1)was greater than that grown in the soil salinity of 4.6 d S m^(-1). The heavy ion irradiation experiment is of great significance in screening plant mutants, improving environmental conditions, and assessing the productivity. This process, in turn, aids in the understanding of the effects of the biochemical and physiological mechanisms of salt stress.

A cruise covering two transects in the Changjiang(Yangtze)estuary in July 2017 was conducted,aiming to explore the sources for riverine NOˉ3 and identify reactions involved in the NO_(3)^(-)transformations along the transport of the Changjiang diluted water(CDW).In the river water,NO_(3)^(-)was fundamentally contributed by chemical fertilizer leakage in the watershed according to isotope *** discharge may also be significant on riverine NO_(3)^(-)inventory,while the isotope signal was masked by *** with the transport of the CDW,NO_(3)^(-)production was observed in waters with low salinities(<20)and high *** resulted from the mineralization of riverine organic nitrogen;therefore,the high turbidity was linked to active *** the outer plume,coupled with stratification,a significant decrease in NO_(3)^(-)concentration was observed in the surface *** parallel,enrichment inδ^(15)N-NO_(3)^(-)andδ^(18)O-NO_(3)^(-)was found,indicating biological consumption by *** difference in the stratification intensity between two transects led to variations in NO_(3)^(-)concentrations and isotope *** the benthic water,denitrification(sediment-water interface)and nitrification(bottom water)***,accumulations of NH4+and dissolved organic nitrogen in the bottom water were observed,indicating that nitrification was constrained by oxidant(mainly dissolved oxygen)supplies.
