There are more and more researches on heat transfer characteristics and prediction of supercritical CO_(2).The method of adding adiabatic section before and after heating section is usually adopted in these researches to ensure that the fluid entering the heating section is no longer affected by boundary layer,but the appropriate length range of adiabatic section and the influence of entrance effect are not discussed.However,some studies show that the entrance effect would affect the heat transfer in mini tubes.This paper uses the commercial CFD code FLUENT 19.0 to numerically study the heat transfer of supercritical CO_(2) in a mini tube under different working conditions(such as Re_(in),P_(in),q_(w) and flow direction)and the lengths of the adiabatic section(l_(as)/d).The entrance effects on heat transfer is more pronounced when Re_(in) is within the transition state and wall heat flux is relatively high,the resulting heat transfer deterioration causes T_(w,x) and h_(w,x) to rise sharply.As the adiabatic section increases,the location at which the heat exchange deteriorates moves to the entrance of the heating section and eventually leaves.The buoyancy effect and flow acceleration effect caused by the sharp change of physical properties are analyzed,and the dimensionless velocity distribution at the inlet of the heating section in different adiabatic sections is compared.It is proved that the entrance effect has an influence on the convection heat transfer of supercritical CO_(2) in mini tubes.The interaction reflected by wall shear stress between boundary layer development and drastic changes in physical properties is the cause of heat transfer deterioration.

2,4,6-Tripyridine-s-triazine(TPTZ)spectrophotometric method was applied to determine the concentrations of dissolved monosaccharides(MCHO),polysaccharides(PCHO),and total carbohydrate(TCHO)in seawater samples collected from sea surface to hadal zone and sediment-seawater interface of the Southern Yap Trench in the Western Pacific Ocean.Results show that the concentrations of MCHO,PCHO,and TCHO ranged from 6.3 to 22.3μmol C/L,1.1 to 25.4μmol C/L,and 12.1 to 44.9μmol C/L,respectively,from the euphotic layer to the hadal zone of the trench.At different sampling stations,the concentrations of MCHO,PCHO,and TCHO in the seawater showed complex vertical variation characteristics,but the overall variation trends were decreasing with water depth.In the Southern Yap Trench,the maximum concentration of MCHO in the seawater appeared in the euphotic layer,and the minimum in the hadal zone.The maximum concentration of PCHO appeared in the euphotic layer,and the minimum in the bathypelagic layer.The water layer where the maxima and minima of the average concentration of TCHO appeared was consistent with that of PCHO.PCHO was the major component of TCHO in the seawater of the Southern Yap Trench.In the seawater from the sediment-seawater interface,the concentrations of MCHO,PCHO,and TCHO ranged from 8.4 to 10.6μmol C/L,3.8 to 5.8μmol C/L,and 12.2 to 15.2μmol C/L,respectively,and MCHO was the major component of TCHO.The key factors affecting the concentration and existing forms of dissolved sugars in the seawater of the Southern Yap Trench included photosynthesis,respiration,polysaccharide hydrolysis,adsorption and desorption of particulate matter,trench“funnel effect”,deep ocean currents,sediment resuspension,and etc.This study provided fundamental data about labile organic matter in abyss and hadal zone of marine environment,which is significant for further understanding of deep-sea organic carbon cycle.

A Survey of 16 Rare Earth Elements in the Major Foods in China

Objective The aim of this survey was to investigate the level of contamination of the most consumed foods in China with 26 rare earth elements （REEs）, and to provide the basic data for establishing and revising food safety standards for REEs. Methods Sixteen REEs in foods were measured by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry （ICP-MS） in the labs of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of four provinces and two municipalities, during 2009-2020. Results 2 231 samples were analyzed and 29 221 concentration data of 16 REEs were collected. The REEs levels in the investigated foods varied significantly. The concentrations of cerium （Ce）, dysprosium （Dy）, yttrium （Y）, lanthanum （La）, and neodymium （Nd） were relatively high, while the remaining eleven REEs were at low levels. The mean values of total rare earth element oxides （REOs） in cereals, fresh vegetables, fresh aquatic products, fresh meats and eggs varied from 0.052 mg/kg to 0.337 mg/kg. Conclusion 16 REEs in the major foods were at very low contamination levels in the investigated regions.

A semigroup is called completely J（e）-simple if it is isomorphic to some Rees matrix semi- group over a left cancellative monoid and each entry of whose sandwich matrix is in the group of units of the left cancellative monoid. It is proved that completely J（e）-simple semigroups form a quasivarity. Moreover, the construction of free completely J（e）simple semigroups is given. It is found that a free completely J（e）-simple semigroup is just a free completely J＊-simple semigroup and also a full subsemigroup of some completely simple semigroups.

The organic-rich mudstones and dolostones of the Permian Fengcheng Formation (Fm.) are typically alkaline lacustrine source rocks, which are typified by impressively abundant 0-carotane. Abundant 0carotane has been well acknowledged as an effective indicator of biological sources or depositional environments. However, the specific biological sources of 0-carotane and the coupling control of biological sources and environmental factors on the enrichment of 0-carotane in the Fengcheng Fm. remains obscure. Based on a comprehensive investigation of the bulk, molecular geochemistry, and organic petrology of sedimentary rocks and the biochemistry of phytoplankton in modern alkaline lakes, we proposed a new understanding of the biological precursors of 0-carotane and elucidated the enrichment mechanism of 0-carotane in the Fengcheng Fm. The results show that the biological precursors crucially control the enrichment of 0-carotane in the Fengcheng Fm. The haloalkaliphilic cyanobacteria are the primary biological sources of 0-carotane, which is suggested by a good positive correlation between the 2-methylhopane index, 7- & thorn; 8- methyl heptadecanes/Cmax, C29%, and 0-carotane/Cmax in sedimentary rocks and the predominance of cyanobacteria with abundant 0-carotene in modern alkaline lakes. The enrichment of 0-carotane requires the reducing condition, and the paleoredox state that affects the enrichment of 0-carotane appears to have a threshold. The paleoclimate conditions do not considerably impact the enrichment of 0-carotane, but they have some influence on the water's paleosalinity by affecting evaporation and precipitation. While it does not directly affect the enrichment of 0-carotane in the Fengcheng Fm., paleosalinity does have an impact on the cyanobacterial precursor supply and the preservation conditions. The lacustrine organic-rich shale in the Permian Lucaogou(LCG)Formation of the Jimsar Sag,Junggar Basin,is one of the main shale oil plays in China.In this paper,geological and geochemical research techniques were employed to evaluate the geochemical variability of the lacustrine shale and the pro-duction of organic matter and its preservation conditions.The LcG Formation is characterized by its complex mineral compositions and a wide range of organic matter richness and quality.The presence of high proportions ofβ-carotane and C2g steranes,indicates that the organic matter mainly originated from phytoplankton and aquatic algal-bacterial organisms,especially cyanobacteria.This study found that the productivity of the Lower LCG Member(P2li)was highest,and the Middle LCG Member(P_(2)l_(2))was the lowest.During the deposition of the Lower LCG Member,the lake's bottom water was predominantly a reducing environment,and the degradation of organic matter was largely a result of bacterial sulfate reduction.During the deposition of the Middle and Upper LCG members,the lake's bottom water was mainly oxidizing,and the degradation of organic matter was likely to be caused by aerobic processes.Based on a comprehensive analysis of the origin and production of organic matter,as well as its depo-sitional environment and preservation conditions,two organic matter accumulation models were pro-posed to explain the distribution of the organic-rich shale.In model A,the high influx of volcanic ash released nutrients and brought abundant sulfate into the water,the accumulation of organic matter was mainly controlled by the preservation of organic matter,which was mainly controlled by BsR.In the model B,the influx of volcanic ash was small,organic matter was mainly degraded by oxygen and the accumulation of organic matter is mainly determined by the production of organic matter.

AIM To examine the role of micro RNA 1181(miR-1181) ininvasionandproliferationinpancreaticcancer.METHODS We analyzed the expression of mi R-1181 in severalpancreatic cancer cell lines and generated stableMIA-Pa Ca-2 and PANC-1 cell lines with up-regulatedmi R-1181 expression using an adenovirus deliverysystem. We then investigated mi R-1181's effect oninvasion and proliferation of pancreatic cancer cells bytranswell assay, wound healing assay, cell countingkit-8 assay and colony-forming assay, and exploredany underlying mechanisms by western bolt. Beyondthat, we observed the change of the PANC-1 cell'scytoskeletonbyimmunofluorescencestaining.RESULTS Our data showed that mi R-1181 was relatively downregulatedinpancreaticcancercelllinescomparedwithnormalpancreaticductalepithelialcells.AndmiR-1181inhibited the migration, invasion and proliferationactivities of MIA-Pa Ca-2 and PANC-1 cells. Notably,after over-expressing of mi R-1181 in PANC-1 cells,F-actin depolymerized. Immunofluorescence stainingshows decreased F-actin and β-tubulin expression inPANC-1 cells over-expressing mi R-1181 comparedwith the control cells. Furthermore, we found thatover-expressing mi R-1181 inhibited the expressionof signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3) while knocking-down mi R-1181 up-regulatedthe expression of STAT3. Knocking-down mi R-1181promoted the invasion and proliferation of pancreaticcancer cells. And inhibition of STAT3 blocked thepromotion effects of knocking-down mi R-1181 onproliferationandinvasioninpancreaticcancer.CONCLUSION Together our findings suggest that mi R-1181 maybe involved in pancreatic cancer cell invasion andproliferation by targeting STAT3 and indicate thatmi R-1181 may be a potential therapeutic agent forpancreaticcancer.

mIgM-mediated splenic marginal zone B cells targeting of folic acid for immunological evasion

Folic acid is a fully oxidized synthetic folate with high bioavailability and stability which has been extensively prescribed to prevent congenital disabilities.Here we revealed the immunosuppressive effect of folic acid by targeting splenic marginal zone B(MZB)cells.Folic acid demonstrates avid binding with the Fc domain of immunoglobulin M(IgM),targeting IgM positive MZB cells in vivo to destabilize IgM-B cell receptor(BCR)complex and block immune responses.The induced anergy of MZB cells by folic acid provides an immunological escaping window for antigens.Covalent conjugation of folic acid with therapeutic proteins and antibodies induces immunological evasion to mitigate the production of anti-drug antibodies,which is a major obstacle to the long-term treatment of biologics by reducing curative effects and/or causing adverse reactions.Folic acid acts as a safe and effective immunosuppressant via IgM-mediated MZB cells targeting to boost the clinical outcomes of biologics by inhibiting the production of anti-drug antibodies,and also holds the potential to treat other indications that adverse immune responses need to be transiently shut off.
