To address the current issues with the conventional slide gate system utilized in the steel teeming process,a unique electromagnetic induction controlled automated steel teeming(EICAST)technology has been *** means of spiral coil in this technology is directly related to its service ***,heat transfer processes of air cooling and spray cooling were compared and ***,the impacts of water temperature,water flow rate and air flow rate were examined in order to maximize the spray cooling *** maintain coil temperature at a low value consistently throughout the entire thermal cycle process of the ladle,a combined cooling mode was finally *** simulation was applied to examine the coil temperature variation with different cooling systems and *** coil operation,spray cooling is said to be more *** controlling the water flow rate and air flow rate,the spray cooling effect is ***,water temperature has little or no impact when using spray *** cooling during the secondary refining process and spray cooling prior to coil operation are combined to further lower coil *** the direction of the spray cooling is from bottom to top,the coil temperature is lowered below 165℃.A practical induction coil cooling plan was provided for the EICAST technology’s production process.

林下草本层植物在森林群落结构稳定性的调节和生态功能的发挥上具有非常重要的作用,是森林生态系统不可或缺的组成部分。本文从揭示天然林林下物种组成的主导因子出发,以不同年龄天然油松林林下草本层植物为研究对象,探讨了辽河源自然保护区林下草本层物种组成与环境因子间的相关关系。结果表明,林龄是影响林分土壤化学性质的空间变化的重要因子,但林龄与林下草本植物的物种丰富度和多样性指数间不存在线性关系。CCA排序及Monte Carlo检验结果表明,林龄、林分密度、平均胸径、郁闭度、坡度为显著影响天然油松林林下物种分布的因子,说明该地区林分的冠层结构特征主导了林下草本层植物群落的分布格局。

Multiphoton photoredox catalysis enables selective hydrodefluorinations

Late-stage modification of complex molecules via site-selective hydrodefluorination is a challenging endeavor. The selective activation of carbon-fluorine(C–F) bonds in the presence of multiple C–F bonds is of importance in organic synthesis and drug discovery. Herein, we describe the activation of C-F bonds via multiphoton photoredox catalysis to selectively produces a series of hydrodefluorinated compounds by simply tuning the reaction conditions. Moreover, this protocol was successfully applied to the late-stage functionalization of different drug-derivatives and the corresponding mono-, di-, and tri-defluorinated products were obtained in good to excellent yields. A detailed mechanistic investigation provides insight into the unprecedented hydrodefluorination pathway.

Nitrate(NO3-)is a widespread pollutant in high-salt wastewater and causes serious harm to human *** electrochemical removal of nitrate has been demonstrated to be a promising treatment method,the development of low-cost electro-catalysts is still *** this work,a phosphate modified iron(P-Fe)cathode was prepared for electrochemical removal of nitrate in high-salt *** phosphate modification greatly improved the activity of iron,and the removal rate of nitrate on P-Fe was three times higher than that on Fe *** experiments and density functional theory(DFT)calculations demonstrated that the modification of phosphoric acid improved the stability and the activity of the zero-valent iron electrode effectively for *** nitrate was firstly electrochemically reduced to ammonium,and then reacted with the anodic generated hypochlorite to *** this study,a strategy was developed to improve the activity and stability of metal electrode for NO_(3)^(-)removal,which opened up a new field for the efficient reduction of NO3-removal by metal electrode materials.

Recent advances in bio-integrated electrochemical sensors for neuroengineering

Detecting and diagnosing neurological diseases in modern healthcare presents substantial challenges that directly impact patient outcomes. The complex nature of these conditions demands precise and quantitative monitoring of disease-associated biomarkers in a continuous, real-time manner. Current chemical sensing strategies exhibit restricted clinical effectiveness due to labor-intensive laboratory analysis prerequisites, dependence on clinician expertise, and prolonged and recurrent interventions. Bio-integrated electronics for chemical sensing is an emerging, multidisciplinary field enabled by rapid advances in electrical engineering, biosensing, materials science, analytical chemistry, and biomedical engineering. This review presents an overview of recent progress in bio-integrated electrochemical sensors, with an emphasis on their relevance to neuroengineering and neuromodulation. It traverses vital neurological biomarkers and explores bio-recognition elements, sensing strategies, transducer designs, and wireless signal transmission methods. The integration of in vivo biochemical sensors is showcased through applications. The review concludes by outlining future trends and advancements in in vivo electrochemical sensing, and highlighting ongoing research and technological innovation, which aims to provide inspiring and practical instructions for future research.

Predicting colorectal adenomatous polyps in patients with chronic liver disease: A novel nomogram

BACKGROUND Colorectal polyps are commonly observed in patients with chronic liver disease(CLD)and pose a significant clinical concern because of their potential for *** To explore the clinical characteristics of colorectal polyps in patients with CLD,a nomogram was established to predict the presence of adenomatous polyps(AP).METHODS Patients with CLD who underwent colonoscopy at Tianjin Second People’s Hospital from January 2020 to May 2023 were *** data including laboratory results,colonoscopy findings,and pathology reports were *** variables for the nomogram were identified through least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression,followed by multivariate logistic *** performance of the model was evaluated using the area under the receiver area under curve,as well as calibration curves and decision curve *** The study enrolled 870 participants who underwent colonoscopy,and the detection rate of AP in patients with CLD was 28.6%.Compared to individuals without polyps,six risk factors were identified as predictors for AP occurrence:Age,male sex,body mass index,alcohol consumption,overlapping metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease,and serum ferritin *** novel nomogram(AP model)demonstrated an area under curve of 0.801(95%confidence interval:0.756-0.845)and 0.785(95%confidence interval:0.712-0.858)in the training and validation *** curves indicated good agreement among predicted and actual probabilities(training:χ^(2)=11.860,P=0.157;validation:χ^(2)=7.055,P=0.530).The decision curve analysis underscored the clinical utility of the nomogram for predicting the risk of *** The AP model showed reasonable accuracy and provided a clinical foundation for predicting the occurrence of AP in patients with CLD,which has a certain predictive value.

【目的】研究鹿茸对小鼠脑组织抗氧化指标和凋亡相关蛋白表达的影响,为鹿茸的抗氧化和抗凋亡作用研究提供资料。【方法】选用48只6周龄雌性昆明小鼠,随机分为正常组(灌胃生理盐水,n=12)和高、中、低剂量鹿茸冻干粉组(分别灌胃鹿茸冻干粉1,3和5g/kg,n=12)。各组分别灌胃63d,第64天处死小鼠并取材。用试剂盒检测小鼠脑组织匀浆液中单胺氧化酶(Monoamine oxidase,MAO)、超氧化物歧化酶(Superoxide dismutase,SOD)、谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(Glutathione peroxidase,GSH-Px)的活性和丙二醛(Malondialdehyde,MDA)的含量,并采用免疫组化观察小鼠大脑皮层促凋亡蛋白Bax和抗凋亡蛋白Bcl-2的表达情况。【结果】鹿茸冻干粉高剂量组MAO活性极显著低于对照组和中、低剂量组(P<0.01),鹿茸冻干粉中剂量组MAO活性极显著低于对照组和低剂量组(P<0.01);鹿茸冻干粉高剂量组GSH-Px活性极显著高于对照组和中、低剂量组(P<0.01);鹿茸冻干粉高剂量组Bcl-2蛋白表达量极显著高于对照组和中、低剂量组(P<0.01),鹿茸冻干粉低剂量组Bcl-2与Bax表达量的比值显著低于对照组和高、中剂量组(P<0.05)。【结论】高剂量(5g/kg)鹿茸能提高机体抗氧化酶SOD和GSH-Px活性,降低MAO活性和脂质过氧化物MDA含量,增加抗凋亡蛋白Bcl-2的表达,具有增强机体抵抗生化损伤、清除体内脂质过氧化物、抗凋亡的作用。

Colorectal cancer(CRC)is a prevalent malignancy worldwide,posing a significant public health *** evidence has confirmed that timely early screening facilitates the detection of incipient CRC,thereby enhancing patient ***,non-participation of asymptomatic individuals in screening programs hampers early diagnosis and may adversely affect long-term outcomes for CRC *** this letter,we provide a comprehensive overview of the current status of early screening practices,while also thoroughly examine the dilemmas and potential solutions associated with early screening for *** response to these issues,we proffer a set of recommendations directed at governmental authorities and the general public,which focus on augmenting financial investment,establishing standardized screening protocols,advancing technological capabilities,and bolstering public awareness *** importance of collaborative efforts from various stakeholders cannot be overstated in the quest to enhance early detection rates and alleviate the societal burden of CRC.

Elevated CXCL1 triggers dopaminergic neuronal loss in the substantia nigra of C57BL/6J mice: Evaluation of a novel Parkinsonian mouse model

Substantial evidence points to the early onset of peripheral inflammation in the development of Parkinson's disease(PD), supporting the “body-first” hypothesis. However,there remains a notable absence of PD-specific animal models induced by inflammatory cytokines. This study introduces a novel mouse model of PD driven by the proinflammatory cytokine CXCL1, identified in our previous research. The involvement of CXCL1 in PD pathogenesis was validated using subacute and chronic MPTP-induced mouse models. Based on these findings, 2-month-old C57BL/6J mice were intravenously administered CXCL1(20 ng/kg/day) for 2 weeks(5 days per week), successfully replicating motor deficits and pathological alterations in the substantia nigra observed in the chronic MPTP *** results demonstrate the potential of CXCL1-induced inflammation as a mechanism for PD modeling. The model revealed activation of the PPAR signaling pathway in CXCL1-mediated neuronal damage by CXCL1. Linoleic acid, a PPAR-γ activator, significantly mitigated MPTPand CXCL1-induced toxicity and reduced serum CXCL1levels. In addition, the CXCL1-injected mouse model shortened the timeline for developing chronic PD mouse model to 2 weeks, offering an efficient platform for studying inflammation-driven processes in PD. The findings provide critical insights into the inflammatory mechanisms underlying PD and identify promising therapeutic targets for intervention.
