Programmable Analytical Feature of Ratiometric Electrochemical Biosensor by Alternating the Binding Site of Ferrocene to DNA Duplex for the Detection of Aflatoxin B1

Ratiometric biosensor is among the promising strategies for the advanced analysis;its applicability in multiple scenarios,however,is seriously limited for the fixed analytical ***,we reported ratiometric electrochemical biosensors with programmable analytical feature by alternating the binding site of ferrocene(Fc)to DNA duplex for the detection of aflatoxin B1(AFB1).DNA duplex was synthesized with AFB1 aptamer and its complementary DNA(cDNA)with Fc molecular tagged on aptamer or *** analysis,aptamer-AFB1 complex stripped from the electrode,and free cDNA triggered hybridization chain reaction to produce double-stranded DNA for methylene blue(MB)*** this way,redox currents of Fc(I_(Fc))and absorbed MB(I_(MB))at the electrode were collected to produce the ratiometric signal of I_(MB)/I_(Fc)as a yardstick for *** Fc was tagged on aptamer,IFc decreased with higher concentration of AFB1(C_(AFB1)),the resultant biosensor allowed detection with an On/Off(I_(MB)/I_(Fc))mode;when Fc was tagged on cDNA,I_(Fc) kept constant as C_(AFB1)varying,offering an On/Constant(I_(MB)/I_(Fc))mode for the ***,biosensor with On/Off mode showed a linear range of 0.1—100 pg/mL with a limit of detection(LOD)of 0.0650 pg/mL,while biosensor with On/Constant mode offered a wider linear rang of 1—10000 pg/mL but a relatively poor LOD of 0.330 pg/*** work revealed the vital importance of binding site of probes to DNA,and this principle can endow ratiometric biosensor with programmable analytical feature(e.g.,linear range,LOD),allowing detections in various scenarios.

The high incidence of cardiovascular disease has led to significant demand for synthetic vascular grafts in clinical ***-proliferation drugs are usually loaded into devices to achieve desirable anti-thrombosis effects after ***,the non-selectiveness of these conventional drugs can lead to the failure of blood vessel reconstruction,leading to potential complications in the long *** address this issue,an asymmetric membrane was constructed through electro-spinning *** bilayer membrane loaded and effectively released nitric oxide(NO),as hoped,from only one *** to the short diffusion distance of NO,it exerted negligible effects on the other side of the membrane,thus allowing selective regulation of different cells on both *** released NO boosted the growth of endothelial cells(ECs)over smooth muscle cells(SMCs)-while on the side where NO was absent,SMCs grew into *** overall structure resembled a native blood vessel,with confluent ECs as the inner layer and layers of SMCs to support *** addition,the membrane preserved the normal function of ECs,and at the same time did not exacerbate inflammatory *** preparing this material type that regulates cell behavior differentially,we describe a new method for its application in the cardiovascular field such as for artificial blood vessels.

Fabrication and shape detection of a catheter using fiber Bragg grating

Considering the spatial position and shape detection properties of the fiber Bragg grating(FBG)curve sensor used in the human body,the positioning accuracy of the FBG curve sensor plays a major role in the pre-diagnosis and treatment of *** present a new type of shape-sensing catheter(diameter of 2.0 mm and length of 810 mm)that is integrated with an array of four optical fibers,where each contains five nodes,to track the ***,the distribution of the four orthogonal fiber gratings is wound around a nitinol wire using novel packaging technology,and the spatial curve shape is rebuilt based on the positioning of discrete points in *** experimental platform is built,and then a reconstruction algorithm for coordinate point fitting of the Frenet frame is used to perform the reconstruction experiment on millimeter *** results show that,compared with those in previous studies,in 2D test,the maximum relative error for the end position is reduced to 2.74%,and in 3D reconstruction experiment,the maximum shape error is 3.43%,which verifies both the applicability of the sensor and the feasibility of the proposed *** results reported here will provide an academic foundation and the key technologies required for navigation and positioning of noninvasive and minimally invasive surgical robots,intelligent structural health detection,and search and rescue operations in debris.

To realize highly efficient hydrogen production of graphene-based photocatalysts,it is greatly important to increase more interfacial active sites onto *** this work,the highly efficient CoS_(x)-rGO(reduced graphene oxide)/TiO_(2) composite photocatalyst was synthesized via a simple two-step method,including the hydrothermal loading of rGO nanosheets onto TiO_(2) nanoparticles and the subsequent photodeposition process of CoS_(x) nanodots(0.5-2 nm) on the rGO *** experimental results confirmed that the CoS_(x)-rGO/TiO_(2) photocatalyst displayed a distinctly higher photocatalytic H_(2)-evolution activity than the TiO_(2) *** highest hydrogen-production efficiency of obtained CoS_(x)-rGO/TiO_(2)(10%) achieved 256.97 μmol·h-1,which was distinctly higher than that of TiO_(2)(4.41 μmol·h-1),rGO/TiO_(2)(20.19 μmol·h^(-1)) and CoS_(x)/TiO_(2)(132.67 μmol·h^(-1)).According to the results of various characterizations and tests,the synergistic-effect mechanism of CoS_(x) nanodots and rGO nanosheets is proposed to explain the increased photocatalytic performance of Co S_(x)-rGO/TiO_(2) photocatalytic material,namely the rGO nanosheets cause the quick transfer of photo-induced carriers from TiO_(2) to CoS_(x) nanodots,and then CoS_(x) nanodots work as hydrogenproduction active sites to quickly generate H_(2).The present study may offer innovative ideas for the preparation and application of new highly efficient and inexpensive photocatalytic materials.

Retinal displacement after closure of idiopathic macular hole

Objective: To study the foveal displacement during the closure of idiopathic macular holes(MHs).Methods: Thirty-seven idiopathic MH patients treated by pars plana vitrectomy and internal limiting membrane peeling were studied *** of MH center and foveal pit were measured by optic coherence *** displacement was observed using confocal scanning laser ***: A total of 40 eyes were included in this study and MHs were closed in 37 eyes(92.5%).The confocal scanning laser ophthalmoscopy showed that all of the retinal capillaries in the superior, inferior, nasal and temporal sides of the MHs moved toward the optic nerve head(ONH).The optic coherence tomography results showed that the mean nasal displacements of foveal pits were(102.9±61.2),(109.6±53.1), and(137.0±52.0) μm at 3, 6 and 12 months, *** the mean vertical displacements were(55.9±49.4),(61.4±57.8) and(67.8±54.3) μm, ***-operative foveal pits were located in the nasal side of the MH *** extension of retina and nasal to the MH were in opposite directions: the nasal hole margin moved toward the MH, but the retina located closer to the ONH moved toward the *** fellow eyes of three patients developed into idiopathic MH during the follow-up period and operations were performed for all of the three ***: Our results showed that center of macula does not move when an idiopathic MH develops, but it moves toward ONH during closure of hole; thus, new fovea is in nasal side of original fovea.

Technological optimization of fully mechanized caving mining face with large mining heights

Fully mechanized cave mining with large mining height is a new mining method, due to its large mining thickness and lower roadway excavation, the technology has been widely used in China＇s thick seam mining. In order to improve the top-coal recovery ratio of fully mechanized cave mining with large mining height, a study was conducted on optimizing the caving process, based on the mechanized caving face 1302N in Longgu Coal Mine. This was achieved by improving the PFC numerical calculation methods, and establishing a more accurate model system. On this basis, the recovery ratio of the top coal in different drawing intervals and technologies was investigated in order to achieve a reasonable caving process. The top-coal tracking system was used for practical surveying of the recovery ratio of top coal.

Control of Heterometallic Three-Dimensional Macrocycles with Aromatic Stacks in Tunable Host Cavities

Using coinage metal （Cu（Ⅱ）, Ag（Ⅰ）） hinges, two sets of heterometallic molecular capsules with analogous open-ended cavities were prepared based on the half-sandwich rhodium fragments. In the case of [Rh4Cu4] cages, up to six-fold-stacked host-guest structures were formed by varying the cavity＇s dimensions. Moreover, the series of capsules were demonstrated to self-fine-tune to form multi-heteroguest arrays via favourable donor-acceptor interactions and Ag-π interactions, as evidenced from single-crystal X-ray analysis.

Modified reward function on abstract features in inverse reinforcement learning

Expressing an (E)-β-farnesene synthase in the chloroplast of tobacco affects the preference of green peach aphid and its parasitoid

(E)-b-Farnesene (EbF) synthase catalyses the production of EbF, which for many aphids is the main or only component of the alarm pheromone causing the repellence of aphids and also functions as a kairomone for aphids’ natural enemies. Many plants possess EbF synthase genes and can release EbF to repel aphids. In order to effectively recruit the plant-derived EbF synthase genes for aphid control, by using chloroplast transit peptide (CTP) of the small subunit of Rubisco (rbcS) from wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), we targeted AabFS1, an EbF synthase gene from sweet wormwood (Artemisia annua L.), to the chloroplast of tobacco to generate CTP t AabFS1 transgenic lines. The CTP t AabFS1 transgenic tobacco plants could emit EbF at a level up to 19.25 ng/day per g fresh tissues, 4–12 fold higher than the AabFS1 transgenic lines without chloroplast targeting. Furthermore, aphid/parasitoid behavioral bio-assays demonstrated that the CTP t AabFS1 transgenic tobacco showed enhanced repellence to green peach aphid (Myzus persicae) and attracted response of its parasitoid Diaeretiella rapae, thus affecting aphid infestation at two trophic levels. These data suggest that the chloroplast is an ideal subcellular compartment for metabolic engineering of plant-derived EbF synthase genes to generate a novel type of transgenic plant emitting an alarm pheromone for aphid control.

Sensory processing is strongly modulated by different brain and behavioral states,and this is based on the top-down *** the olfactory system,local neural circuits in the olfactory bulb(OB)are innervated by centrifugal afferents in order to regulate the processing of olfactory information in the OB under different behavioral *** purpose of the present study was to explore the organization of neural networks in olfactory-related cortices and modulatory nuclei that give rise to direct and indirect innervations to the glomerular layer(GL)of the OB at the whole-brain *** of different recombinant attenuated neurotropic viruses into the GL showed that it received direct inputs from each layer in the OB,centrifugal inputs from the ipsilateralanterior olfactory nucleus(AON),anterior piriform cortex(Pir),and horizontal limb of diagonal band of Broca(HDB),and various indirect inputs from bilateral cortical neurons in the AON,Pir,amygdala,entorhinal cortex,hippocampus,HDB,dorsal raphe,median raphe and locus *** results provide a circuitry basis that will help further understand the mechanism by which olfactory informationprocessing in the OB is regulated.
