Amino acids are biologically important molecules that serve as energy source, building blocks of proteins, precursors for metabolites and signaling compounds in all living *** of proteinogenic amino acids and related substances across biological membranes is mediated by membrane embedded proteins:the amino acid transporters. These membrane proteins belong to different solute carrier (SLC)families (http://***) and transfer amino acids in and out between compartments inside cells, between different cells and between organs. Amino acid transporters have diverse important physiological functions and their absence, overexpression and malfunction can lead to human diseases.

A MEMS electrostatic kinetic energy harvester(e-KEH)of about 1 cm2,working at ultralow frequency(1–20 Hz),without any supported additional mass on its mobile electrode,and working even without a vacuum environment is *** prototype is especially suitable for environments with abundant low frequency motions such as wearable *** proposed e-KEH consists of a capacitor with a finger-teeth interdigited comb *** greatly reduces the air damping effect,and thus the capacitance variation remains important regardless of the presence of *** the new design,the energy transduced per cycle of excitation is no less than 33 times higher than the classic design within 10–40 Hz/2 g_(peak),while is 85 times higher at 15 Hz/2 g_(peak).An enclosed miniature ball combined with non-linear stoppers enables the oscillation of the movable electrode through impact-based frequency up-conversion mechanism,which is also improved by the low air *** to this new design,a higher efficiency than the classic gap-closing comb structure is obtained,as a larger range of working frequency(1–180 Hz)in air.A maximum energy conversion of 450 nJ/cycle is obtained with a bias voltage of 45 V and an acceleration of 11 Hz,3 g_(peak).Working with a diode AC-dC rectifier,the proposed KEH is able to support up to 3 RfId communications within 16 s while operated at 11 Hz,3 g_(peak).

The constant increase in power and heat flux densities encountered in electronic devices fuels a rising demand for lightweight heat sink materials with suitable thermal *** this study,discontinuous pitch-based carbon fiber reinforced aluminum matrix（Al-Cf） composites with aluminum–silicon alloy（Al–Si） were fabricated through hot *** small amount of Al–Si contributed to enhance the sintering process in order to achieve fully dense Al–Cf composites.A thermal conductivity and CTE of 258 W/（m K） and 7.0 9 10-6/K in the in-plane direction of the carbon fibers were obtained for a（Al95 vol%＋ Al–Si5 vol%）-Cf50 vol%*** fiber provides the reducing of CTE while the conservation of thermal conductivity and weight of *** achieved CTEs satisfy the standard requirements for a heat sink material,which furthermore possess a specific thermal conductivity of 109 W cm3/（m K g）.This simple process allows the low-cost fabrication of Al–Cf composite,which is applicable for a lightweight heat sink material.

A recent multicenter study demonstrated that two variants of LRRK2, S1647T and R1398H, are associated with sporadic Parkinson＇s disease. The present study analyzed LRRK2 gene polymorphisms of S1647T and R1398H, demonstrating that the LRRK2 gene polymorphism S1647T variant is a risk factor for Parkinson＇s disease in a Chinese Han population. However, the R1398H variant did not influence the risk for Parkinson＇s disease. In addition, there was no difference in clinical symptoms of Parkinson＇s disease patients with various genotypes. Results showed that the LRRK2 S1647T variant was associated with an increased risk for developing early-onset Parkinson＇s disease in a Chinese Hart population. In addition, there was no correlation between LRRK2 S1647T, R1398H variants and G2385R, R1628P variants in Parkinson＇s disease patients.

At present,reports on the arc interruption and decomposition behavior of a C_(4)f_(7)N/air gas mixture especially the biosafety of its by-products are ***,a 57%C_(4)f_(7)N/43%air gas mixture was employed as an arc-quenching medium to conduct 200 breaking tests on a load switch(630 A/24 kV).The arc interruption and decomposition behavior of the gas mixture were evaluated,and the biosafety of the decomposition products was assessed based on an acute inhalation toxicity *** was found that the average arcing time of the 200 breakings was about 10.1 ms and that breakings were basically completed at the zero-crossing of the second or third current *** gas mixture after breaking decomposed dramatically(the C_(4)f_(7)N content decreased by 75.6%),generating a large number of gaseous by-products(CO,Cf_(4),C_(2)f_(6),C_(3)f_(8),Cf_(3)CN,C_(4)f_(8),CO_(2),C_(4)f_(10)N_(2),C_(3)f_(6),C_(2)N_(2),etc.)as well as solid by-products(carbon particles).The lethal concentration of 50%(LC50,4 h)of C_(4)f_(7)N/air after 200 breakings was 31 ppm(male mice)and 34 ppm(female mice),respectively,and the toxicity was classified as Grade *** general,C_(4)f_(7)N has an arc interruption capability,albeit weaker than that of Sf_(6)under the same *** breaking,the C_(4)f_(7)N gas mixture has a relatively high acute inhalation toxicity,and relevant safety protection measures for research or operation personnel are strictly needed.

Plasma cholesterol level is determined by a complex dynamics that involves transport lipoproteins which levels are tightly dependent on how the liver and the intestine regulate cholesterol and biliary acid metabolism. Regulation of cholesterol and biliary acids by the liver and the intestine is in turn coupled to a large array of enzymes and transporters that largely influence the inflow and the outflow of cholesterol and biliary acids through these organs. The activity of the key regulators of cholesterol and biliary acids may be influenced by several external factors such as pharmacological drugs and the nutritional status. In recent years, more information has been gathered about the impact of estrogens on regulation of cholesterol in the body. Exposure to high levels of estrogens has been reported to promote cholesterol gallstone formation and women are twice as likely as men to develop cholesterol gallstones. The impact of estrogen withdrawal, such as experienced by menopausal women, is therefore of importance and more information on how the absence of estrogens influence cholesterol regulation is started to come out, especially through the use of animal models. An interesting alternative to metabolic deterioration due to estrogen deficiency is exercise training. The present review is intended to summarize the present information that links key regulators of cholesterol and biliary acid pathways in liver and intestine to the absence of estrogens in an animal model and to discuss the potential role of exercise training as an alternative.
