background:Prolonged sitting and reduced physical activity lead to low energy ***,little is known about the joint impact of daily sitting time and physical activity on body fat *** investigated the independent and joint associations of daily sitting time and physical activity with body fat among ***:this was a cross-sectional analysis of *** representative data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey2011-2018 among adults aged 20 years or *** sitting time and leisure-time physical activity(LtPA)were self-reported using the Global Physical Activity *** fat(total and trunk fat percentage)was determined via dual X-ray ***:Among 10,808 adults,about 54.6%spent 6 h/day or more sitting;more than one-half reported no LtPA(inactive)or less than 150 min/week LtPA(insufficiently active)with only 43.3%reported 150 min/week or more LtPA(active)in the past *** fully adjusting for sociodemographic data,lifestyle behaviors,and chronic conditions,prolonged sitting time and low levels of LtPA were associated with higher total and trunk fat percentages in both *** stratifying by LtPA,the association between daily sitting time and body fat appeared to be stronger in those who were inactive/insuufficiently *** the joint analyses,inactive/insuufficiently active adults who reported sitting more than 8 h/day had the highest total(female:3.99%(95%confidence interval(95%CI):3.09%-4.88%);male:3.79%(95%CI:2.75%-4.82%))and trunk body fat percentages(female:4.21%(95%CI:3.09%-5.32%);male:4.07%(95%CI:2.95%-5.19%))when compared with those who were active and sitting less than 4 h/***:Prolonged daily sitting time was associated with increased body fat among *** higher body fat associated with 6 h/day sitting may not be offset by achieving recommended levels of physical activity.

Emission of tHz radiation from air breakdown at focused ultra-short fs-laser pulses(800 nm/35 fs)was investigated for the 3D spatio-temporal control where two pre-pulses are used before the *** laser pulse induced air breakdown forms a~120μm-long focal volume generate shockwaves which deliver a denser air into the focal region of the main pulse for enhanced generation of tHz radiation at 0.1-2.5 tHz spectral *** intensity of 162 pre-and main-pulses was at the tunnelling ionisation intensities(1-3)×10 W/cm and corresponded to sub-critical(transparent)plasma formation in *** analysis of tHz radiation revealed that orientation of the air density gradients generated by pre-pulses and their time-position locations defined the ellipticity of the generated tHz electrical *** rotational component of electric current is the origin of tHz radiation.

background Pediatric cancer survivors are at increased risk of muscle weakness and low areal bone mineral density(aBMD).However,the prevalence of muscle strength deficits is not well documented,and the associations of muscle strength with aBMD are unknown in this ***,this study aimed to investigate the prevalence of upper-and lower-body muscle strength deficits and to examine the associations of upper-and lower-body muscle strength with age-,sex,and race-specific aBMD Z-scores at the total body,total hip,femoral neck,and lumbar *** this cross-sectional study included 116 pediatric cancer survivors(12.1±3.3 years old,mean±SD;42.2%female).Upper-and lower-body muscle strength were assessed by handgrip and standing long jump test,***‑energy X‑ray absorptiometry was used to measure aBMD(g/cm2).Associations between muscle strength and aBMD were evaluated in multivariable linear regression *** regression was used to evaluate the contribution of muscle strength(1-decile lower)to the odds of having low aBMD(Z-score≤1.0).All analyses were adjusted for time from treatment completion,radiotherapy exposure,and body mass *** More than one-half of survivors were within the 2 lowest deciles for upper-(56.9%)and lower-body muscle strength(60.0%)in comparison to age-and sex-specific reference *** strength deficits were associated with lower aBMD Z-scores at all sites(B=0.133–0.258,p=0.001–0.032).Each 1-decile lower in upper-body muscle strength was associated with 30%–95%higher odds of having low aBMD Z-scores at all *** 1-decile lower in lower-body muscle strength was associated with 35%–70%higher odds of having low aBMD Z-scores at total body,total hip,and femoral *** Muscle strength deficits are prevalent in young pediatric cancer survivors,and such deficits are associated with lower aBMD Z-scores at all *** results suggest that interventions designed to improve muscle strength in t

古近纪是陆地和海洋生态系统劫后复苏并逐渐接近其现代面貌的关键时期.在青藏高原及其周边区域,古近纪也是青藏高原-喜马拉雅造山带构造活动、亚洲气候重组、生物多样性演化的重要时期.限于研究条件、认识程度等的制约,青藏高原及其周边地区在地层划分方面还存在诸多争议.近年来,该区域开展了大量的沉积岩石学、磁性地层学、同位素年代学等工作,发现和报道了大量各种门类的化石,更系统地深化了生物地层学研究,为梳理青藏高原及其周边古近纪综合地层、生物群和古地理演化打下了坚实的基础.本文基于国际古近系划分和对比标准,以岩石地层和生物地层为基础,综合近年来同位素年代学、磁性地层学和地球化学等研究工作,在前人工作基础上梳理青藏高原及其周边不同构造单元的地层划分与对比框架.第二次青藏高原综合科学考察开展以来,古近纪植物群相关研究逐渐丰富.依据这些植物群最新的年代结果,本文讨论了灭绝类群和新出现类群的生物地层意义.对“桉属”、棕榈科等化石类群的新认识将古近纪青藏地区植物区系与冈瓦纳大陆的大洋洲、南美洲生物区系建立联系.雅鲁藏布江缝合带两侧植物群重要类群的演化历史也指示印度板块和欧亚大陆的碰撞时间在约65~54Ma.植物群的古高程重建结果表明,横断山区在早渐新世之前就已经形成现今的地貌格局;古近纪青藏地区主要缝合带附近的温暖湿润低地是动植物类群交流的主要通道;古近纪低矮的喜马拉雅山脉不能对南来的印度洋水汽形成有效的阻隔作用.

A review of public health guidelines for postpartum physical activity and sedentary behavior from around the world

background:the period following pregnancy is a critical time window when future habits with respect to physical activity(PA) and sedentary behavior(SB) are established;therefore,it warrants *** purpose of this scoping review was to summarize public health-oriented country-specific postpartum PA and SB guidelines ***:to identity guidelines published since 2010,we performed a(a) systematic search of 4 databases(CINAHL,Global Health,PubMed,and SPORtDiscus),(b) structured repeatable web-based search separately for 194 countries,and(c) separate web-based *** the most recent guideline was included for each ***:We identified 22 countries with public health-oriented postpartum guidelines for PA and 11 countries with SB *** continents with guidelines included Europe(n=12),Asia(n=5),Oceania(n=2),Africa(n=1),North America(n=1),and South America(n=1).the most common benefits recorded for PA included weight control/management(n=10),reducing the risk of postpartum depression or depressive symptoms(n=9),and improving mood/well-being(n=8).Postpartum guidelines specified exercises to engage in,including pelvic floor exercises(n=17);muscle strengthening,weight training,or resistance exercises(n=13);aerobics/general aerobic activity(n=13);walking(n=11);cycling(n=9);and swimming(n=9).Eleven guidelines remarked on the interaction between PA and breastfeeding;several guidelines stated that PA did not impact breast milk quantity(n=7),breast milk quality(n=6),or infant growth(n=3).For SB,suggestions included limiting long-term sitting and interrupting sitting with ***:Country-specific postpartum guidelines for PA and SB can help promote healthy behaviors using a culturally appropriate context while providing specific guidance to public health practitioners.
