Fluorine doped tin oxide, SnO2:F, thin films were deposited by ultrasonic chemical spray starting from tin chloride and hydrofluoric acid. The physical characteristics of the films as a function of both water content in the starting solution and substrate temperature were studied. The film structure was polycrystalline in all cases, showing that the intensity of (200) peak increased with the water content in the starting solution. The electrical resistivity decreased with the water content, reaching a minimum value, in the order of 8 × 10-4 Ωcm, for films deposited at 450℃ from a starting solution with a water content of 10 ml per 100 ml of solution;further increase in water content increased the corresponding resistivity. Optical transmittances of SnO2:F films were high, in the order of 75%, and the band gap values oscillated around 3.9 eV. SEM analysis showed uniform surface morphologies with different geometries depending on the deposition conditions. Composition analysis showed a stoichiometric compound with a [Sn/O] ratio around 1:2 in all samples. The presence of F into the SnO2 lattice was detected, within 2 at % respect to Sn.

Starch is a very important biopolymer in the food industry. The velvet bean (M. pruriens) is an excellent potential starch source containing approximately 520 g starch per kg. The objective of this study was to evaluate the physicochemical and functional properties of velvet bean depigmented starch. The starch granules appear oval and spherical shaped. The colour registered L*, a*, b* values of 44.9, 0.324 and 0.341 respectively. The chemical composition registered values of moisture, ash, fat, protein, fibre and NFE of 110.5, 5.8, 5.7, 0.0, 34 and 954.5 g/kg respectively, as well as amylose levels of 215.3 g/kg. Gelatinization onset (To), peak (Tp) and final (Tf) temperatures were of 74.23°C, 80.57°C and 86.39°C. The solubility (3.1% - 16.2%), swelling power (SP) (2.86% - 16.17%) and water absorption capacity (WAC) (2.67 - 15.95 g water/g starch) were directly correlated to temperature (60°C - 90°C). The enthalpy values (4.10 - 13.47 j/g) were directly correlated to the time (1 - 21 days). The retrogradation increased as time increased. The viscosity of M. pruriens depigmented starch decreased slightly during the heating stages and then increased during cooling and the refrigeration and freezing stability registered syneresis ranges from 17.65 to 23.18 mL/50mL and from 16.4 to 22.6 mL/50mL respectively, indicating that the depigmented starch was unstable in heating-cooling processes.

Physicochemical, functional and digestibility analyses were done of dehydrated quail egg white to determine its possible practical applications. Quail egg white was dehydrated by air convection using one of two temperatures and times: M1 (65℃, 3.5 h), M2 (65℃, 5.0 h), M3 (70℃, 3.5 h) and M4 (70℃, 5.0 h). Lyophilized quail egg white was used as a standard. All four air-dried treatments had good protein levels (92.56% to 93.96%), with electrophoresis showing the predominant proteins to be lysozyme, ovalbumin and ovotransferin. Denaturation temperatures ranged from 81.16℃ to 83.85℃ and denaturation enthalpy values from 5.51 to 9.08 j/g. Treatments M1-4 had lower water-holding (0.90 - 2.95 g/g) and oil-holding (0.92 - 1.01 g/g) capacities than the lyophilized treatment (4.5 g/g, 1.95 g/g, respectively). Foaming capacity was pH-dependent in all five treatments, with the lowest values at alkaline pH and the highest (153% to 222%) at acid pH (pH 2). Foam stability was lowest at acid pH and highest at alkaline pH. Emulsifying activity in the air-dried treatments was highest at pH 8 (41% - 46%). Emulsion stability was pH-dependent and highest in M3 between pH 2 and 4 (96.16% to 95.74%, respectively). In the air-dried treatments, in vitro protein digestibility was as high as 83.02% (M3).

目前导致癫痫的病因中,有些是可以预防的。该综述总结了由此类可预防病因所造成的癫痫的公共卫生负担,并提出了癫痫一级预防的重要性。系统性回顾针对癫痫的4种可预防病因的流行病学研究,这些可预防病因分别是围产期损伤、脑外伤、中枢神经系统感染和卒中。通过使用统一的标准,对每项研究进行质量评估,并从满足质量评级标准的研究中提取了相关风险度量的数据,并将这些结果以中位数和四分位数的方式汇总。高质量的基于人群的研究结果显示,在中低收入国家中,所有年龄段的癫痫患病率约为1.11%,而在高收入国家中约为0.7%。围产期脑损伤是儿童癫痫中最常见的可预防病因,在中低收入国家中占17%,在高收入国家中占15%。在中低收入和高收入国家中,卒中均是老年癫痫患者中最常见的可预防病因,占所有新发癫痫病例的半数及以上,在高收入和中低收入国家中约5%癫痫是由卒中造成的。在中低收入国家,中枢神经系统感染是较常见的癫痫病因,约占所有癫痫病例的5%。在一些低收入农村地区和中等收入国家社区中,地方性神经囊虫病所致癫痫占所有癫痫病例的34%。可预防的病因所致癫痫占癫痫的总体公共卫生负担的很大一部分。在中低收入和高收入国家中,围产期损伤、感染、脑外伤和卒中所致癫痫占所有癫痫的25%。母婴保健、免疫接种、公共卫生、预防脑损伤和卒中这些公共卫生干预措施有可能会显著减少癫痫负担。

Dengue is one of the most prominent tropical epidemic diseases present in the Rio de janeiro city and Southeast part of Brazil, due to the widespread conditions of occurrence of the dengue vector, the mosquito Aedesaegypti, such as high-temperature days interlaced with afternoon or nocturnal rainstorms in summer. This work has the objective of investigating the relationships between variabilities of the El Ni?o-South Oscillation (ENSO) and greater epidemics of dengue in Rio de janeiro city. To accomplish this goal, the analysis and signal decomposition by cross-wavelet transform (WT) was applied to obtain the cross variability associated with variations of power and phase of both signals by characteristic periods and along with the time series. Data considered in the analysis are (the decimal logarithm of normalized value) of the monthly available notifications of dengue worsening, provided by the public health system of Brazil, and the Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) Ni?o 3.4 data, provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), in the period 2000-2017. A maximum cross-wavelet power close to 0.45 was obtained for the representative period of 1 year and also to periods between 3 and 4 years, associated with the positive phase of the SOI index (i.e. , La Ni?a) or with a transition to the positive phase. The evolution of the combined variability of SOI and dengue can be expressed by progressive differences in phase along the time, eventually resulting in yielding phases (i.e., La Niña-Dengue epidemic).

The photoreceptor layer of the human retina has several characteristics that are unique. Their energy requirements are the highest in the organism;in proportion, rods and cones require 10-fold the energy consumed by the cerebral cortex, 6-fold more than the cardiac muscle, and 3-fold more than the renal cortex. Astonishingly, the photoreceptor layer has no blood vessels at all. So, where is the energy to this tissue coming from? In this article we’ll describe the hitherto unknown explanation.

The anther culture technical was applied to produce haploid lines of rice (Oryza sativa L.). The hybrids (K/ A92VM061, K/A92VM067, K/A92VM0611, K/A92VM719, K/A92VM720 and K/A92VM721) were obtained in order to generate new varieties from Indica and japonica cultivars. Morphometric parameters of the grains were evaluated by image analysis. Flours were prepared from the whole rice grains and physicochemical, thermal and rheological properties, X-ray diffraction pattern and evaluation of color using the CIELAB system were assessed. The hybrids lines showed long (061, 611, 721), medium (719 and 720) and short (067) grains. The rice samples presented lipids (2.6% - 3.2%), protein (11% - 15%), total dietary fiber (8.4% - 10.2%), total starch (65% - 74%) and apparent amylose (5% - 32%) contents. Gelatinization temperature (Tp) was found in the range of 66.1℃ - 79.4℃ with enthalpy (ΔH) value between 3.4 - 8.1 j/g. The retrogradation parameters (temperature and ΔH) were lower than those for gelatinization in all samples. The rice samples presented A-type X-ray diffraction pattern. Rice pastes showed a non-Newtonian behavior and the brightness (L*) characterize the color of the samples. Hybrid rice grains presented morphometric properties more similar to japonica than Indica variety. Rice hybrid had higher protein content than Indica variety. Apparent amylose, viscosity and gelatinization temperature varied significantly among hybrids and varieties.

本文提供了墨西哥中部两个高原湖泊近期环境快速变化的证据。从济拉温湖(米却肯州)和胡安艾卡特兰湖(哈利斯科州)获得了多个沉积物钻芯,利用^(210)Pb和^(14)C,以及火山灰年代测定法确定年代,进行了硅藻组合、磁化率和金属含量分析。在殖民时期,两盆地内有汇水区被扰动的迹象,但这两个地方最显著的特征是,最近20年来硅藻种群组合特征的快速变化,这指示着富营养化的开始。尽管在胡安艾卡特兰湖还没获得这方面的任何数据,但济拉温湖的湖泊学数据支持这种解释。古湖泊学在跟踪近期变化过程,特别是在缺乏常规湖泊监测计划的情况下是一种强有力的工具。这些湖泊对汇水区的开发变化特别敏感,必须在将来的流域管理中予以考虑。

Human intravenous immune globulin(IVIg),a purified IgG fraction composed of~60%IgG1 and obtained from the pooled plasma of thousands of donors,is clinically used for a wide range of *** biological actions of IVIg are incompletely understood and have been attributed both to the polyclonal antibodies therein and also to their IgG(IgG)Fc ***,we demonstrated that multiple therapeutic human IgG1 antibodies suppress angiogenesis in a target-independent manner via FcγRI,a high-affinity receptor for *** we show that IVIg possesses similar anti-angiogenic activity and inhibited blood vessel growth in five different mouse models of prevalent human diseases,namely,neovascular age-related macular degeneration,corneal neovascularization,colorectal cancer,fibrosarcoma and peripheral arterial ischemic *** was mediated by the Fc region of IVIg,required FcγRI and had similar potency in transgenic mice expressing human Fcγ***,IVIg therapy administered to humans for the treatment of inflammatory or autoimmune diseases reduced kidney and muscle blood vessel *** data place IVIg,an agent approved by the US Food and Drug Administration,as a novel angioinhibitory drug in doses that are currently administered in the clinical *** addition,they raise the possibility of an unintended effect of IVIg on blood vessels.
