Distribution of per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances in blood,serum,and urine of patients with liver cancer and associations with liver function biomarkers

Studies have shown that per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances(PFASs)may be hepatotoxic in animals or ***,data on clinical epidemiology are very *** this study,21PFASs were determined in patients with liver diseases,with the highest median concentrations detected in the serum sample(26.7 ng/mL),followed by blood(10.7 ng/mL)and urine(5.02 ng/mL).Higher total PFAS concentrations were found in hepatocellular carcinoma(Hcc)patients compared to non-Hcc patients,with significant discrepancies in serum and blood ***,significant correlations were also found among PFAS concentrations and age,gender,body mass index(BMI),and liver function biomarkers *** example,PFAS concentrations are significantly higher in males than in females;Several serum PFASs concentrations increase with age and BMI,while the serum perfluorohexane sulfonic acid(PFHxS)concentrations are negatively correlated with *** addition,multiple regression models adjusted for age,gender and BMI found that increased serum perfluorobutane sulfonic acid(PFBS),perfluoroheptane sulfonic acid(PFHpS)and perfluorohexylphosphonic acid(PFHxPA)conentrations are correlated with elevated alkaline phosphatase(ALP),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),and alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)(pcal support for the future study on the potential clinical hepatotoxicity of PFAS.

The Minimum centroid Branch Spanning Tree Problem

The character of Thurston's circle packings

We introduce the character of Thurston's circle packings in the hyperbolic background ***, some quite simple criteria are obtained for the existence of hyperbolic circle packings. For example,if a closed surface x admits a circle packing with all the vertex degrees d_(i)≥7, then it admits a unique complete hyperbolic metric so that the triangulation graph of the circle packing is isotopic to a geometric decomposition of x. This criterion is sharp due to the fact that any closed hyperbolic surface admits no triangulations with all d_(i)≤6. As a corollary, we obtain a new proof of the uniformization theorem for closed surfaces with genus g≥2;moreover, any hyperbolic closed surface has a geometric decomposition. To obtain our results, we use chow-Luo's combinatorial Ricci flow as a fundamental tool.

By exploiting the contact Hamiltonian dynamics（T*M × R,Φ_t） around the Aubry set of contact Hamiltonian systems,we provide a relation among the Mather set,the Φ_t-recurrent set,the strongly static set,the Aubry set,the Ma?é set,and the Φ_t-non-wandering ***,we consider the strongly static set,as a new flow-invariant set between the Mather set and the Aubry set in the strictly increasing *** show that this set plays an essential role in the representation of certain minimal forward weak Kolmogorov-Arnold-Moser（KAM） solutions and the existence of transitive orbits around the Aubry set.

Implementing a new energy-saving electrochemical synthesis system with high commercial value is a strategy of the sustainable development for upgrading the bulk chemicals preparation technology in the ***,we report a multiple redox-mediated linear paired electrolysis system,combining the hydrogen peroxide mediated cathode process with the I2 mediated anode process,and realize the conversion of furfural to furoic acid in both side of the dividedﬂow cell *** reasonably controlling the cathode potential,the undesired water splitting reaction and furfural reduction side reactions are *** the galvanostatic electrolysis,the two-mediated electrode processes have good compatibility,which reduce the energy consumption by about 22%while improving the electronic efﬁciency by about 125%.This system provides a green electrochemical synthesis route with commercial prospects.

The revelation of thermal energy exchange mechanism of human body is challenging yet worthwhile,because it can clearly explain the changes in human symptoms and health ***,the heat transfer of the skin is significant because the skin is the foremost organ for the energy exchange between the human body and the *** order to diagnose the physiological conditions of human skin without causing any damage,it is necessary to use a non-invasive measurement technique by means of a conformal flexible *** harmonic method can minimize the thermal-induced injury to the skin due to its low heat generating properties.A novel type of computational theory assessing skin thermal conductivity,blood perfusion rate of capillaries in the dermis,and superficial subcutaneous tissues was formed by combining the multi-medium thermal diffusion model and the bio-thermal model(Pennes equation).The skins of the hand back of six healthy subjects were *** was found that the results revealed no consistent changes in thermal conductivity were observed across genders and *** measured blood perfusion rates were within the range of human capillary *** was found that female subjects had a higher perfusion rate range(0.0058-0.0061 s^(-1))than male subjects(0.0032-0.0049 s^(-1)),which is consistent with invasive medical studies about the gender difference in blood flow rates and stimulated effects in relaxation situations.

Artificial visual systems can recognize desired objects and information from complex environments, and are therefore highly desired for pattern recognition, object detection, and imaging applications. However, state-of-the-art artificial visual systems with high recognition performances that typically consist of electronic devices face the challenges of requiring huge storage space and high power consumption owing to redundant data. Here, we report a terahertz(THz) frequency-selective surface using a graphene split-ring resonator driven by ferroelectric polarization for efficient visual system applications. The downward polarization of the ferroelectric material offers an ultrahigh electrostatic field for doping p-type graphene with an anticipated Fermi level. By optimizing the geometric parameters of the devices and modulating the carrier behaviors of graphene, our plasmonic devices exhibit a tunable spectral response in a range of 1.7–6.0 THz with continuous transmission values. The alloptical neural network using graphene plasmonic surfaces designed in this study exhibited excellent performance in visual preprocessing and convolutional filtering and achieved an ultrahigh recognition accuracy of up to 99.3% in training the Modified National Institute of Standards and Technology(MNIST) handwritten digit dataset. These features demonstrate the great potential of graphene plasmonic devices for future smart artificial vision systems.
