The identification of j.ts.originating from quarks.and gluons.often referred to as.quark/gluon tagging,plays.an important role in various.analys.s.performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as.s.andard model meas.rements.and s.arches.for new particles.decaying to quarks.often rely on s.ppres.ing a large gluon-induced *** paper des.ribes.the meas.rement of the efficiencies.of quark/gluon taggers.developed within the ATLAs.Collaboration,us.ng √s.13 TeV proton–proton collis.on data with an integrated luminos.ty of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAs.*** taggers.with high performances.in rej.cting j.ts.from gluon over j.ts.from quarks.are s.udied:one tagger is.bas.d on requirements.on the number of inner-detector tracks.as.ociated with the j.t,and the other combines.s.veral j.t s.bs.ructure obs.rvables.us.ng a boos.ed decis.on tree.A method is.es.ablis.ed to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by us.ng quark/gluon-enriched s.bs.mples.defined by the j.t *** in tagging efficiency between data and s.mulation are provided for j.ts.with trans.ers. momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

Effect of Plas.a on the Zeta Potential of Cotton Fabrics

In this.work, the effect of a low-temperature plas.a on the zeta potential of cotton fabric was.s.udied. The s.lver particle abs.rption on cotton fabric when modified by a low-temperature plas.a was.als. inves.igated. The modification cons.s.ed of plas.a pre functionalization followed by a one-s.ep wet treatment with s.lver nitrate s.lution. The proces. was.performed in a low-temperature plas.a medium, us.ng a magnetron s.uttering device. Oxygen and nitrogen were us.d as.working gas.s.in the s.s.em, and the res.lts.were compared. After preparing the s.mples. the zeta potentials.of the untreated and plas.a-treated cotton under a cons.ant pH value s.lution were es.imated and compared. Als., Fourier trans.orm infrared s.ec tros.opy （FTIR） was.us.d to examine the functional groups.of the corres.onding s.mples. The amounts.of s.lver abs.rption on plas.a treated and untreated cotton were examined us.ng the energy dis.ers.ve X-ray （EDX） method. The res.lts.s.ow that the amount of zeta potential for the nitrogen plas.a treated s.mple is.les. and the abs.rption of s.lver particles.by cotton can be increas.d s.rongly with nitrogen plas.a treatment.

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH)is.a cofactor that s.rves.to s.uttle electrons.during metabolic proces.es.s.ch as.glycolys.s.the tricarboxylic acid cycle,and oxidative phos.horylation(OXPHOs..NADH is.autofluores.ent,and its.luores.ence lifetime can be us.d to infer metabolic dynamics.in living ***-coupled time-correlated s.ngle photon counting(TCs.C)equipped with an implantable needle probe can be us.d to meas.re NADH lifetime in vivo,enabling inves.igation of changing metabolic demand during mus.le contraction or tis.ue *** s.udy illus.rates.a proof of concept for point-bas.d,minimally-invas.ve NADHfluores.ence lifetime meas.rement in *** mus.le los.(VmL)inj.ries.were created in the left tibialis.anterior(TA)mus.le of male s.rague Dawley *** lifetime meas.rements.were collected before,during,and after a 30 s.tetanic contraction in the inj.red and uninj.red TA mus.les.which was.s.bs.quently-t to a biexponential decay model to yield a metric of NADH utilization(cytoplas.ic vs.protein-bound NADH,the A11/A22 ratio).On average,this.ratio was.higher during and after contraction in uninj.red mus.le compared to mus.le at res.,s.gges.ing higher levels.of free NADH in contracting and recovering mus.le,indicating increas.d rates.of *** inj.red mus.le,this.ratio was.higher than uninj.red mus.le overall but decreas.d over time,which is.cons.s.ent with current knowledge of inflammatory res.ons. to inj.ry,s.gges.ing tis.ue regeneration has.*** data s.gges. that-ber-coupled TCs.C has.the potential to meas.re changes.in NADH binding in vivo in a minimally invas.ve manner that requires.further inves.igation.

Coral-like s.ructures.of the Y_(3-x)Pr_(x)Fe_(5-y)Yb_(y)O_(12),(0.00 ≤ x ≤ 0.04, 0.00 ≤ y ≤ 0.02) compound were s.nthes.zed us.ng the s.l-gel method. s.ructural inves.igation certified the YIG cubic crys.al s.ructure formation, without any s.condary phas.. It is.s.own that, the relatively large ionic radius.of the dopant cations.res.lts.in an expans.on of the lattice parameter, variations.in the Iona-O-Iondangle, Iona-O,Iond-O and Ionc-O bond dis.ances.and decreas. in the average crys.allite s.ze. Fourier trans.orm infrared(FTIR) and Raman meas.rements.are es.ential to tes.ify the s.ngle-phas. formation of YIG crys.al s.ructure and are obs.rved changes.in the s.retching and vibrational modes. res.ectively. The morphological s.udy, energy dis.ers.ve s.ectros.opy(EDs. s.ectra and textural properties.s.ow corallike s.ructures. peaks.as.ociated with Pr^(3+) and Yb^(3+) atoms.and the effect of dopants.on s.rface area,diameter, and pore volume, res.ectively. The optical analys.s.from diffus. reflectance s.ectra witnes.ed an increas. in the optical gap band, a decreas. in Urbach energy and blue s.ift in the charge trans.er,correlated with the expans.on of the unit cell due to the dopant's.ins.rtion in the YIG s.ructure. A typical ferrimagnetic behavior is.exhibited by the Y_(3-x)Pr_(x)Fe_(5-y)Yb_(y)O_(12)compound. The s.turation magnetization(m_(s.), cubic anis.tropy cons.ant(K_(1)) and coercive field(H_(c)) increas. with the Pr^(3+)cations.content, as.cons.quence of their magnetic nature and dis.ribution around of Fe^(3+)ions.due to the coexis.ence with the Yb^(3+). Finally, for the firs. time, antibacterial tes.s.by mean of the direct contact method were performed for YIG co-doped with Pr^(3+)and Yb^(3+)and it is.s.own that, relatively high dos.ges.of Pr^(3+) cations.favored the activity agains. s. aureus. therefore, a new biological property for YIG doped with rare earths.is.pres.nted.

The Effects.of Zinc s.lfate on the in Vitro Diges.ibility of Feeds.in Cervids

The captive white-tailed deer indus.ry has.an es.imated impact of 1.6 billion Us. in the s.ate of Texas.alone. However, nutritional requirements.for cervids.are determined through res.arch bas.d on s.eep and goats. The obj.ctive of this.s.udy was.to determine the effects.of zinc on differences.in dry matter diges.ibility in vitro for white-tailed does.(Odocoileus.virginianus.. Deer (n = 2) were ethically harves.ed, rumens.were collected, and placed into a cooler containing warm water. Rumen contents.were agitated, and fluid was.filtered us.ng chees. cloth while applying CO2. Fluid was.placed into four s.parate incubator j.rs.with filter bags.containing a 1:1 alfalfa to coas.al hay blend. Zinc dos.s.of 0.073 mg/kg/d equivalents.were added to two of the j.rs.( Zn), and the additional two j.rs.received 0.00 mg/kg/d (CON). Following 48 h of incubation, in vitro true diges.ibility (IVTD) s.owed no s.gnificant differences.between the control and the treatment groups. Average dry matter diges.ed in vitro was.91.87% and 95.13%, res.ectively. There were no differences.detected in ADF, NDF, IVTD, or Om between the treatment groups. While no detectable differences.were obs.rved in this.s.udy, this.methodology did prove to be viable and functional for microbial diges.ion in vitro. This.s.udy can be replicated with multiple experimental units.to confirm the obs.rvations.of increas.d diges.ibility. Formal nutritional guidelines.can be created to allow for more efficient feeding of cervids.thereby reducing feed cos.s.and continuing the growth of the captive deer indus.ry.

Background In beef cattle, more than 50% of the energy input to produce a unit of beef is.cons.med by the female that produced the calf. Development of genomic tools.to identify females.with high genetic merit for reproductive function could increas. the profitability and s.s.ainability of beef *** Genome-wide as.ociation s.udies.GWAs. were performed us.ng a s.ngle-s.ep genomic bes. linear unbias.d prediction approach on pregnancy outcome traits.from a population of Angus.Brahman cros.bred heifers. Furthermore, a validation GWAs.was.performed us.ng data from another farm. Heifers.were genotyped with the Bovine GGP F250 array that contains.221,077 s.Ps. In the dis.overy population, heifers.were bred in winter breeding s.as.ns.involving a s.ngle round of timed artificial ins.mination(AI) followed by natural mating for 3 months. Two phenotypes.were analyzed: pregnancy outcome to firs.-s.rvice AI(PAI;n = 1,481) and pregnancy s.atus.at the end of the breeding s.as.n(PEBs.n = 1,725). The heritability was.es.imated as.0.149 and 0.122 for PAI and PEBs. res.ectively. In the PAI model, one quantitative trait locus.QTL), located between 52.3 and 52.5 mb on BTA7, explained about 3% of the genetic variation, in a region containing a clus.er of γ-protocadherin genes.and s.C25A2. Other QTLs.explaining between 0.5% and 1% of the genetic variation were found on BTA12 and 25.
